The Dean Galway

Had an incredible stay at The Dean! The entire place has such a beautiful ambiance and vibe, and the rooms are absolutely stunning. The on-site gym is next level - honestly the best hotel gym we’ve ever experienced. Staff were fantastic throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

In Oct 2025 we brought a group of 40 young people to an event in the Blue Room space in The Dean Galway. It was a beautifully decorated and modern room. It was very easy to contact reception for anything we needed (extra water, adjusting temperature, etc). The food was delicious (soup and toasties). Additionally, we had three of the event speakers arrive the day before the event and stay in the rooms at The Dean Hotel and they were all very impressed at the modern yet rustic decor, and said the rooms were very comfortable. Thank you to all the staff who made the day so seamless, we'll definitely be back!

Just celebrated my wedding at The Dean this past weekend and the staff blew my expectations out of the water! We were so well taken care of, the staff were attentive and friendly, everyone there made our wedding day a true dream come true. Many of my guest also stayed in the hotel and had nothing but praises to sing from the stay and how fantastic the food and service was. The heated pool and sauna were a godsend the day after! I cannot thank everyone at The Dean enough, and we will absolutely be back!

This hotel was great. The staff was phenomenal. David at the front desk and Johanna in housekeeping were terrific. We had some challenges and needed medical support; the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The rooms are very small but a perfect for 1-2 nights in the city. The people make this hotel fantastic though!

I stayed in the Dean recently and it was everything I expected, minimalist, quirky cosy, and different. It had everything without being stuffy. But most of all I must mention the staff. Such a welcome from Dave and Sam and the staff in Elephants and Castle and Sophie’s were all so helpful. Preparing to engage and chat knowing I was alone. They made the stay special for me who had wanted to stay in the Dean since it opened. Thank you guys. Teresa

We had a fantastic stay at The Dean Galway and would highly recommend it. The hotel has a fun, modern vibe with great style, and the location is ideal for exploring Galway on foot. Our room was comfortable, well-designed, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.||A special mention to David at check-in, who was outstanding. He was warm, welcoming, and took the time to share excellent recommendations for the area—from places to eat to things to do—which really enhanced our visit.||Overall, a wonderful experience with great service, a lively atmosphere, and an unbeatable location. I had such a wonderful stay at The Dean Galway and truly wish I could have stayed longer! From the moment I arrived, the staff at the front desk were incredibly kind and welcoming — their friendliness made all the difference and set the tone for a great visit. My room was spotless and stylish, with everything feeling fresh, clean, and thoughtfully designed. You can tell the hotel pays attention to the details, which made the stay all the more comfortable. Sophie’s, the rooftop restaurant, was another highlight — beautiful setting, great atmosphere, and delicious food. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring Galway. If you're looking for a modern, welcoming, and well-located place to stay in Galway, I can't recommend The Dean enough. I’ll definitely be back — next time for longer!

Super happy we picked this hotel in Galway. The room we had was a nice size. Everything was clean and the bed comfortable. Location wise it was very good, and less than a 5 minute walk from Eyre Square. There is also a coffee bar and restaurant in the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
