The Dean Galway

Visited The Dean for two nights with my partner and will definitely be returning. We were kindly upgraded and the room was fabulous! Location super central and got a really good value deal. The staff were super lovely! The facilities were fabulous - really good gym & nice outdoor heated pool with sauna & ice baths. Two restaurant options onsite but limited menus and quite pricey for options on offer; however, loads of good cafe and restaurant options within walking distance. Only additions to really add to the experience would be shelves/cupboard to store clothes in the room & mugs/spoons rather than paper cups for coffee & tea in the room.

In Oct 2025 we brought a group of 40 young people to an event in the Blue Room space in The Dean Galway. It was a beautifully decorated and modern room. It was very easy to contact reception for anything we needed (extra water, adjusting temperature, etc). The food was delicious (soup and toasties). Additionally, we had three of the event speakers arrive the day before the event and stay in the rooms at The Dean Hotel and they were all very impressed at the modern yet rustic decor, and said the rooms were very comfortable. Thank you to all the staff who made the day so seamless, we'll definitely be back!

What a real funky, cool hotel. Price very reasonable given the location. Elephant & Castle good food but great cocktails. Outdoor heated pool perfect Galway rain. Hidden gems are Sophies bar and it's views and Peigs Bar (please open more). Staff chilled but really good & attentive. 100% recommend

Just celebrated my wedding at The Dean this past weekend and the staff blew my expectations out of the water! We were so well taken care of, the staff were attentive and friendly, everyone there made our wedding day a true dream come true. Many of my guest also stayed in the hotel and had nothing but praises to sing from the stay and how fantastic the food and service was. The heated pool and sauna were a godsend the day after! I cannot thank everyone at The Dean enough, and we will absolutely be back!

​The Positives: The hotel is lovely, featuring a modern, spotless lobby and an exceptional staff who couldn't have been more helpful. ​Dining & Amenities: The restaurant offers fantastic city views—perfect for a morning breakfast or a pre-dinner cocktail. The wellness facilities are also a highlight, including a well-sized gym with modern equipment, a pool, sauna, and steam room. ​The Drawback: Parking is slightly inconvenient, as the designated lot is a five-minute walk from the entrance. ​The Room Issue: While the rooms are modern and feature comfortable beds and Netflix-equipped TVs, they lack functional storage. With no wardrobe or chest of drawers, there is very little space to hang or store clothes. ​Verdict: A great stay overall, though the room layout was a bit underwhelming

This hotel was great. The staff was phenomenal. David at the front desk and Johanna in housekeeping were terrific. We had some challenges and needed medical support; the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The rooms are very small but a perfect for 1-2 nights in the city. The people make this hotel fantastic though!

Stayed at The Leinster Hotel for a weekend in the city. Booking was straightforward and the room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The shower was a real highlight. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Had an incredible stay at The Dean! The entire place has such a beautiful ambiance and vibe, and the rooms are absolutely stunning. The on-site gym is next level - honestly the best hotel gym we’ve ever experienced. Staff were fantastic throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be back!
