The Dearly Koh Tao Hostel & The Dearly Dive - PADI Five Star Dive Resort

I can highly recommend this hostel and the diving school! They have great free breakfast, really nice rooms with comfortable beds and an amazing pool. The staff is so nice and welcoming, the location is quiet but still had anything you could need closeby. They also offer daily free shuttles to explore the island. The diving school is very professional, I had no prior diving exerience and my instructor made me feel very safe and showed me the beauty of diving in Koh Tao. Definitely the place to stay on the island to relax, dive and meet lovely people! <3

A really great hostel with fantastic staff. Always friendly and helpful. It’s also a perfect place to go diving from. Everything is arranged for you, and you can also let them know your preferences, which they take into account. We even had the boat to ourselves once. They could easily have cancelled, since it probably wasn’t very profitable, but they chose to give us the best possible experience instead! Nothing but praise!

I wish I could give this hostel 1000 stars. If you visit Koh Tao, STAY HERE. Every detail of this hostel has been thought out. The big things like the daily free shuttles and breakfast to the smaller things like the yoga mats in the rooms to the to the sea sickness tablets when you depart. The best part? The diving. Aaron was an exceptional instructor and made me feel so at ease, and proud of my accomplishment. The room was so clean and super comfortable. The vibe of the hostel is social, but not party-like. The WiFi is fantastic, so great for remote work. The staff are so welcoming, and can’t do enough for you. I have stayed in MANY hostels in Asia, this is my favourite one by miles. I cannot fault it at all. A massive thank you to JJ, Aaron, Jane, Picky, Ivy Sara and everyone at the Dearly. What a team you are. SEE YOU SOON!

I stayed here alone and booked a private room, which was very spacious and had everything I needed — it felt more like a hotel room than a hostel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The downside is that the hostel is far from the bars and nightlife, so it’s not ideal if you want to go out in the evenings. During my stay, there were also very few Western travelers, which made it feel a bit quiet for a solo traveler.

The hostel is really nice clean and the bed is comfortable. I would suggest a curtain on the bed for privacy as it made it harder to relax when you can see everyone. Other than that everything was great. I had Charlee as my divemaster. He was fantastic really friendly. Had a great time. He was so knowledgeable and I had the best time with him.

I loved this hostel! I stayed in the 6 bed female room and had a great experience. It’s in a great location- walkable to some of the best beaches on the island and close to a lot of restaurants, massage/nail spas, and cafes. The hostel also offers afternoon and sunset shuttles to different beaches each day. I ended up renting a scooter nearby to have more freedom, but it’s not needed. The hostel itself is very clean and well done. It has all the small things that make traveling a bit easier- a free towel, nightlight, hooks for towels, a large locker/bedside table, outside hanging racks for swimsuits, a shelf and hooks in the shower for your toiletries, windows, etc. Lots of nice common areas to hangout, too. The breakfast is fairly basic but super convenient and they have a full menu to order other paid foods/drinks. The beds were comfortable and while there are no curtains, the dividers still give some privacy. I thought the staff was lovely and always eager to help! It’s a very relaxed and lowkey vibe but I still found it easy to make friends. You could also easily do your own thing here too and have a peaceful stay! I also went scuba diving with The Dearly and had a great experience! Their equipment is high quality, very nice boat, and wonderful staff. Overall I highly recommend!!

Probably the best hostel I have ever stayed in, clean, modern, affordable. The staff were absolutely incredible, so friendly, professional and helpful. The breakfast was spot on and the daily activities were incredible. Would definitely come back.

At the beginning of July, my friends and l went to The Dearly Koh Tao Hostel. We were very impressed with the service. The staff were caring. The breakfast was delicious. We went snorkeling and there were several staff members ensuring our safety. There were also tasty snacks and live music. The room was clean. If l get the chance, l will definitely visit there again.
