The Dearly Koh Tao Hostel & The Dearly Dive - PADI Five Star Dive Resort

I loved this hostel! I stayed in the 6 bed female room and had a great experience. It’s in a great location- walkable to some of the best beaches on the island and close to a lot of restaurants, massage/nail spas, and cafes. The hostel also offers afternoon and sunset shuttles to different beaches each day. I ended up renting a scooter nearby to have more freedom, but it’s not needed. The hostel itself is very clean and well done. It has all the small things that make traveling a bit easier- a free towel, nightlight, hooks for towels, a large locker/bedside table, outside hanging racks for swimsuits, a shelf and hooks in the shower for your toiletries, windows, etc. Lots of nice common areas to hangout, too. The breakfast is fairly basic but super convenient and they have a full menu to order other paid foods/drinks. The beds were comfortable and while there are no curtains, the dividers still give some privacy. I thought the staff was lovely and always eager to help! It’s a very relaxed and lowkey vibe but I still found it easy to make friends. You could also easily do your own thing here too and have a peaceful stay! I also went scuba diving with The Dearly and had a great experience! Their equipment is high quality, very nice boat, and wonderful staff. Overall I highly recommend!!

At the beginning of July, my friends and l went to The Dearly Koh Tao Hostel. We were very impressed with the service. The staff were caring. The breakfast was delicious. We went snorkeling and there were several staff members ensuring our safety. There were also tasty snacks and live music. The room was clean. If l get the chance, l will definitely visit there again.

Booked this hostel as me and my girlfriend didn’t ride scooters and we wanted somewhere close to all the good beaches. This place was perfect. Everyday they offer a shuttle to and from a random beach on the island which was great - and each evening a shuttle to a bar to watch the sun go down. We walked to shark bay each morning for a snorkel and then took the shuttle in the afternoon to another beach. We wish we could stay longer!

We stayed in a private room on level 4 and it was amazing! The room was huge with a big bed, tv, nice bathroom nook and toilet. There is a big balcony and large windows, with a beautiful leafy outlook. The reception staff were all really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and it was always prompt and tasty. Located in a more quiet area, there were plenty of food places, coffee, 7-11 and scooter hire nearby. Not too far from the beach too. Highly recommend! Thanks team.

I loved everything about this hostel. Nice rooms, good location, staff were lovely, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I did the open diving course here and I can't recommend it enough. Massive shout-out to my instructors Julian and Bell who were both amazing, super helpful and both great guys.

I just finished my open water certification with the accommodation on the 6 bed (no bunks) dorm. The place is really clean and well maintained. The room was incredible and has everything you need. They provide shower towel and a new towel for all your dives. Breakie is simple but good with toast, pancakes, fruit, basic cereal and a couple of food options (like noodles or fried rice), plus coffee and teas. The pool is a dream. It’s an 8minute walk to the closest beach but they have a free shuttle everyday for a different beach in the afternoon, as well as a sunset spot. If you buy a pack like me, they will pick you up and drop you at the pier when you arrive and leave (you need to let them know first). Bathrooms are great and you have shampoo and shower gel. Hot water and good showers. My instructor Aaron was great! Super detailed in what was important, very clear and took it light. Everything seemed easy! The classroom for the theory is super pleasant as well. I did everything in 2 days and a half with plenty of free time. No chance to be cancelled because there’s not enough participants because I was by myself and it still happened. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

I stayed almost 9 days. I chose a single room with shared bathroom. It was noisy at night but it was not the hostel's fault. I mentioned it to the reception and they said they would talk to my neighbours. I guess I just happened to run into noisy customers. In general ,the staff is polite. Good food, coffee, juices. It could be a little cheaper. I recommend it :) 😉

I had a wonderful experience at dearly hotel. Warm welcome at the desk from the whole team, and especially Bam, who makes the best coffee of the island. I had also two wonderful dives with sarah. So nice to dive with her. The rooms are very nice and it's very easy to talk and meet people at the cosy bar / restaurant / breakfast place... It's als perfectly located between chalok and Sairee. I highly recommend, and even if i didn't use it, the pool is awesome.
