I'll just start off with, speed isn't something that is done here, but yummy breakfast is. The first time we decided on breakfast at this restaurant, upon walking in, even before sitting down we were told three times that it would be at least an hour wait for food.....OK......is that the polite way of telling us you don't want our business? It was even reaffirmed after sitting down, twice, that it would be an hour, luckily we didn't have anything going on that day so, we could wait.
If you can get over the wait, you'll be ok here, if not, find another breakfast joint. We've been here a few times afterwards and the wait times for food has decreased. During the slow season (August-December) Delly Deck is one of the only places open for breakfast, which contributes to the wait time.
The blueberry pancakes and vegetable omelette are our go to items. Pancakes taste like they have fresh blueberries in them, the omelet is always well cooked and stuffed with so many veggies, and both dishes are hearty and a generous portion if you're starving (and you might be with the wait).
Service, outside of the wait time for food, is quite friendly and responsive, except from the younger server (there are only three servers for the place, that we have ever seen). She forgets to bring you things, like coffee, and utensils, which are kind of important for breakfast.
Overall, I can't go above three stars for this restaurant, because you need to go in with patience and the expectation that getting food takes some time. The food carries the three stars (you get the value for your $$) and the fact that there is ample free parking right in front of the place. I think the delays come from the kitchen, because the restaurant isn't that packed when we've been there. If they got it together it would be a much better morning experience!
