The Dewa Koh Chang

It’s a superficial hotel. They make it look good for the pictures but it isn’t. All services they claim to offer are external and they take no responsibility. Breakfast isn’t very good and the coffee is terrible. Dinner at the beach is overpriced and not very good. Airconditioning is antique. Their advice for traveling and such is not good at the reception as their english just isn’t good enough. Beds are good though… All in all an overpriced hotel that lacks atmosphere.

Luxury and perfect service👌 We booked 2 nights at the Grand Villa, but ended up staying an extra night because we were so satisfied. Everything around the hotel was carefully thought out. The high-quality interiors were covered with the most authentic solutions in terms of the appearance of the buildings. The service was very friendly! The staff always happily greeted the children and it felt like they really loved them. The breakfast was comprehensive and varied in many ways. For the first time during our stay in Thailand, we got gluten-free bread and the staff clearly knew about gluten-free.

The Dewa Hotel has a calm and peaceful atmosphere, making it suitable for relaxation. The hotel features plenty of green space with a Balinese-style design, creating a shady and quiet environment. The rooms are spacious and clean, with complete amenities provided.|The staff are polite and helpful. Check-in and communication with the hotel are convenient. The hotel is easy to access and is located not far from tourist attractions.

We stayed there for an entire week as a family of four, with kids being 2 + 4yrs old. Joined by my wife’s parents. Wonderful hotel. Not too big, not too small. Felt not crowded at all. Might had some cancellations due to the conflicts that were going on at the Cambodian boarders. Side note: this conflict did not affect anyone in terms of daily routine in this area. The only people affected are those who now suffer due to the cancellations - so please keep going there. Breakfasts buffet was very rich. Thai & Western food, fresh egg Station & fresh dumplings. While we enjoyed the choices, I‘m always a bit worried about the food waste. Staff was always super friendly and they love kids! Getting information about the area was a bit hard. Most of the time they simply didn’t know much about the area if you ask the receptionists. This and the level of English should be improved. Booking transfers worked out perfectly fine, also spontaneously. The wooden paths to the rooms are not really up to date. While I was watching their staff replacing some of the wooden slats, I had my questions. Seemed like an office guy doing handyman’s work for the first time. The old AND the new wooden slats had nails & screws standing out of the surface. Some had nails, some screws. Some whole were drilled, but somehow empty. If we wouldn’t have been careful, you could easily injure your feet there by trapping into the nails on the way to your room, especially the kids running around. That doesn’t fit the rest of the level of the resort. The beach was beautiful! Not too busy, you can walk in quite far and the water is only knee high, perfect for small children. Great massages at the beach too and plenty of restaurants next to the hotel at the beach. The food at the hotels beach restaurant is not on Thai standards and the snack options are rather small. Pool is nice, unfortunately not that many sun-hours in December. Includes a baby-pool and pool-bar. We loved the stay there. Rooms are beautiful, we had one with a small Koi pond and patio.

We stayed at The Dewa Koh Chang hotel for a special holiday, firstly to be honest our experiense didn't start perfectly. However, what happened next completely transformed our holiday and the sincere reason for this 5-star review! The staff at this hotel are nothing short of exceptional! Their of client-oriented service didn't just fix the issues - it exceeded all our expectations. The room, breakfast buffet, massage, pool area, evening shows - everything was perfect! And of course people that make this place special! Thank you so much and hope to stay here again!

+ Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Good sandy beach. There are restaurants on the main street and a wide promenade for a part of the way where it is good to walk. There are also a few restaurants on the beach. - You would expect the breakfast to be better at this level. The rooms are quite dark. The air conditioning screams really loudly even at the lowest setting.

We stayed in November 2025 and wished we had come for longer!|The hotel is a class act where attention to detail is really very good.|Our room was modern, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The hotel pool area is large and very cool and the resort is located on a lovely sandy beach with a few good restaurants and bars to choose from.|Breakfast was buffet style with a really wide choice, something to suit everyone.|I would not hesitate to recommend The Dewa and hope to return in the future.

We stayed in a villa room. On the second day of our stay — we lost hot water; it turned out the heater was broken. They didn't fix it around 6 hours, caused enormous discomfort, and ruined my day, and perhaps even my entire vacation. Offered us to move from room to room. The fact that the hotel wasn't ready for situation like this means that service is not good now. Massage in hotel is good, on the beach. Beach is good, but seems to me not enough sun beds. Breakfast is good. Style of hotel is nice, little bit old. Location is good. Hotel looks little bit old, I think little renovation can help.
