We are a family of six and we were very nicely surprised with this artsy hotel with a central location. We had one of the bigger rooms and it was very spacious for all of us. Two of my boys are 6ft3+. The room we had had a kitchenette. But since we stayed for only one night we did not use the kitchen other than the kettle. Yet we slept very comfortably. The beds in the two bedrooms were very comfy but the cot beds in the living room we’re not as plush. Also my boys who slept in the living room area said that the big window facing the street in the room was noisy with traffic for most of the evening and early morning. All in all for the cost of the room for all six of us was reasonable, the rooms were clean and a spacious one full bathroom. We would highly recommend this place if you have a bigger family and are on a budget. A lot of the 4-5 ⭐️ hotels in Tel Aviv are not as up to standard as they are in North America, yet The Diaghilev was quite charming and a great find!

Like located fairly centrally on a quiet street less than 2km from the beach and in between a number of markets. The rooms are large with nice, separated seating area, kitchenette and bedroom. Mid-century modern seems to be the motif with the furniture. Apparently each of the rooms are a bit different. Artsy vibe and gallery feel in the lobby.

Pros: location is great near Rothschild, great eating spots and cafes. Beach was close enough to walk and we preferred being in the neighbourhood feeling area. We were very comfortable with our 3 kids on the couches which open to beds and a single bed for our daughter. We had a separate bedroom. Bathroom is big and modern with great shower and shower products. Excellent housekeeping Cons: front desk team is friendly but clueless. Could not advise on pretty much anything. Kitchen in the room is very poorly stocked (eg 2 forks, limited dishes, square bowls that were not very functional). No toaster. They did supply extra dishes upon request. Provided a sponge when requested.

By far my favorite place to have stayed... ever. From the amazing art, to the lovely rooms, to the bathrobes. Honestly, exceptional hotel. I'm in love. Location: quiet residential block within walking distance to city center and beach. Only twenty minute drive from Ben Gurion airport. Hotel: lovely modern building with a small back yard, open lobby with a sitting area, and a bar that serves breakfast and drinks. Original art pieces throughout the lobby and corridors. Room: very specious one bedroom apartment, with the potential balcony. The unique art in each room is lovely and works really well with the overall design of the room. Super clean. Staff: very friendly and helpful, you feel welcomed the moment you step in. Extra: parking garage for an extra (small) charge is very convenient. Tip: request a higher floor for a nicer view of the city. If possible, book a room with a balcony. Don't forget to take advantage of the welcome drink!

Room was by far most spacious of our entire trip in Israel. Beds felt pretty basic. Bathroom was small. Staff was nice. Breakfast every morning was delicious. Location was great.

A very beautiful hotel, we had an amazing room, which felt like home. Everywhere are amazing art pieces, that create a really nice atmosphere. The breakfast is really yummy, the reception is really helpful and you just enjoy your time in Tel Aviv so much more, if you stay here!

Location is very good, the Backstage cafe serves good food in a good atmosphere by nice people, although the drinks selection is very limited. The hotel however falls short on the basics: the rooms are very old, the bathroom is worn and tiny, the doors are dirty, locks not working properly. “Art” is scattered around the place, but with no visible concept. And the weirdest is that they sell umbrellas for 50 NIS at reception but won’t lend you one when it’s pouring. Mind you the umbrellas are big and hence would not fit into your luggage if you did decide to buy one for some reason. And when you ask why, the answer is “because.” This hotel needs a major refresh and change of attitude.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Diaghilev. The staff is exceptional; they made us feel like a member of the family. Rooms were comfortable, clean and, roomy (which is a rarity in Tel Aviv). Hotel is well-located and Back Stage (the restaurant in the lobby) makes the best cappuccino.
