"Delicious Weekend Brunch in Taipei Discovering new and exciting restaurants in Taipei is a big part of the travel experience there, but I was surprised when I learned how popular American-style cuisine is at the moment. From Tex-Mex to classic Eggs Benedict, Western-style meals are being consumed at a record pace. Instead of avoiding these cafes and restaurants, be sure to try at least one, if only for the novelty of seeing how homey favorites are interpreted in old Formosa. The Diner is one of the more popular American-style restaurants, adopting a real diner feel both in look and through the menu. The classic breakfast brunch is the most popular option and a great way to usher in the weekend."

This is where Diner begins. Being a long supporter of Diner, this has been one of my favourite burger place. I did not order burger in this visit. In stead, I ordered ribs and other side dishes. Among these, nacho is the most satisfying treat, and rib is not. I would recommend to stick to other brunch items like burger, sandwich, eggs.

Tacos, Burgers & Birthday Vibes! 🎉🌮🍔 Celebrated my friend’s birthday at The Diner (Ruian Daan), and it was such a fun and smooth experience. The staff were incredibly kind and helped set up a small surprise for the birthday girl—huge thanks to them! Price ★★★★☆ Fair pricing for the portions and central location. Not the cheapest, but definitely worth it. Food & Beverage ★★★★☆ We had tacos and burgers—both were flavorful and satisfying. Great quality and portions. The milkshakes were thick and creamy too! Atmosphere ★★★★☆ Chill, retro diner vibes. Clean and cozy space, though it can get busy during peak hours. Service ★★★★★ Friendly and thoughtful staff. They really helped make the celebration feel special!

The Candied Bacon Eggs Benedict served with Hashbrown is good! Love the ambience and service as well despite the slightly long waiting-time. Free-flow drinking water is provided.

We visited The Diner Ruian Branch in Taipei twice on different occasions, and both visits were satisfying. The menu offers a good selection of Western-style breakfast and brunch dishes, with options for different tastes. The food was well-prepared, portions were reasonable, and the ingredients seemed fresh. Service was efficient, though the place can get busy, especially on weekends. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, making it a good spot for a relaxed meal. The coffee and drinks menu also had a decent variety, complementing the food well. Prices are fair for the quality and portion sizes. While there may be a short wait during peak hours, the overall experience was positive. The Diner remains a solid choice for anyone looking for a Western-style brunch in Taipei.

Great breakfast place with English menu. We have tried 3 items from the menu and were all lovely, they forgot my corn, but rushed a separate plate straight over. Avianca is nice and free WiFi is available

Smaller than I expected space, but nice atmosphere. Got there as they opened on a typhoon day. We got a healthy and tasty scrambled egg and salmon with avocado. It looked great and ended up very tasty. We also got a not so healthy fried chicken and biscuit breakfast. The fried chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. All the fixins were tasty too, not sure what one of them was, but it tasted like rice pudding and had bits of meat in it. Anyways, great brunch and quite filling. Oh, the hazelnut latte was good too. It had some sweetness to it.

Overall decent food, lots of options on the menu. I would have rated this place higher if the following things hadn’t happened: 1) it took forever to receive the food. My partner had already finished his plate by the time mine arrived (35 minutes after ordering), which made for a suboptimal joint dining experience, 2) I ordered the açai bowl, but I believe it was just a berry smoothie in a bowl with little to no açai, and 3) the black sesame soy milk was very watery and not worth getting. Service was extremely chaotic and I saw other tables having the same experience. It’s such a shame because the food is good, but the slow service just really makes me not want to go back here.
