The Diplomat Boutique Hotel

We absolutely loved our stay at the Diplomat Boutique Hotel and were genuinely blown away by the kindness, warmth, and generosity of everyone there. The service is truly special, with thoughtful little touches that elevate the everyday and make you feel deeply cared for. The vegetarian breakfasts for two are outstanding—beautifully prepared, incredibly flavorful, and a true foodie experience.||Sara, her husband, and the entire team are exceptionally welcoming and attentive. They went above and beyond to help us arrange excellent outings in and around Mérida, making our stay even more memorable. Congratulations on creating such a special place to relax, feel at home, and ‘hang one’s hat’ for a while. ||We look forward to coming back for another stay.

My wife and i stayed four nights at Diplomat Boutique in early November 2025. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location and the courtyard pool area is absolutely gorgeous. The provided breakfast was outstanding and they even provided a to-go breakfast for our early morning Mayan ruins tour. The suite was spacious. Above all else, the staff, Anna, Samantha, Chef Gedce, and the rest were truly accomodating and very helpful with restaurant ideas and making reservations. You have to stay at this hotel. You will not regret it. My amazing experience began even before I arrived. Sara, the owner, reached out to me personally to offer special options for my stay. When I got there, her staff greeted me with a warm welcome, a tour, and a drink and snacks—the perfect start after a long flight. The hotel itself is marvelous. The design is thoughtful, and the spacious, comfortable rooms feel luxurious and peaceful. Fresh flowers and plants add a beautiful touch. The hospitality is truly phenomenal. The staff is top-notch and their kindness shows in every detail, from the kind notes and cookies left in my room to the daily cleaning. They even gave great recommendations for places to see and eat. The breakfast is also fantastic; you can tell the chefs are passionate about what they do. They truly go above and beyond. I mentioned I was celebrating my birthday, and they surprised me with decorations in my room. This hotel takes the time to get to know you. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at, and I can't recommend it enough.

Beautiful respite on a quiet street in Merida. The owners and staff are fantastic - friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were amazing. Room was generously sized. There are only a handful of guest rooms so private feel. We stayed a week and loved it.

I had the privilege of enjoying a weekend staycation at the Diplomat Hotel in Mérida, just 15 minutes from my home. After a hectic few months, I needed an escape, and the Diplomat turned out to be the perfect haven.|The hotel exudes luxury, with no detail overlooked. I found myself so comfortable that I didn’t leave once during my stay; in fact, I could have easily extended my visit for another week! Having lived in Mérida for nearly a decade, I can confidently say that the breakfast at the Diplomat was one of the best I’ve experienced in the city. The homemade bagels were delightful, complemented by fresh fruit, roasted veggies, and a variety of delicious cheeses, homemade salsas, and jams. I would return just for the rosemary shortbread cookies alone!|Every corner of this charming hotel reflects dedication and intentionality, creating a gorgeous space that envelops you in luxury while nourishing both your body and aesthetic needs. I highly recommend it!

We agree with everything that has been written about The Diplomat. The rooms and their furnishings are beautiful, the breakfasts are incredible and the staff are all so warm and kind. This is a very special place! Don’t look further, stay here!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The service was honestly some of the best I’ve experienced anywhere—every little detail was handled, and we always felt welcome. I especially want to mention Maggy. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and genuinely cared that we were happy with our stay.
