I’ve been really happy living at The Diplomat Apartments in Studio City. The building is always clean and well-maintained, which makes a big difference in day-to-day comfort. It’s also very quiet, which I really appreciate—perfect for relaxing or getting work done without distractions. One of the standout features here is the management. The manager Maria is not only responsive and professional but also goes above and beyond by organizing special gatherings for residents. It creates a nice sense of community, which you don’t always find in apartment living. Overall, it’s a peaceful, welcoming place to live with great management and a clean, quiet environment. Highly recommend!

Living at The Diplomat has been everything I wanted for LA housing. It's in the cutest neighborhood, walking distance to various coffee shops/restaurants/shopping, feels very safe, and the building itself is beautifully maintained. The property manager, Maria, is an absolute gem. This is my fourth apartment in LA & she is by far the best property manager I have ever had. From getting maintenance requests addressed extremely quickly to cultivating an actual community, she's what makes this apartment complex so special. I come from a small town where neighbors come by unannounced to ask a favor or drop off some bread they made. This is the first time in LA that I've felt that same energy - like I could actually knock on a neighbors door to ask for a cup of sugar & Maria cultivates that environment here.

My partner and I have close friends who have lived in this building so we have been visiting since 2014. When we were getting ready to look at apartments in Studio City, a unit became available and we jumped at the chance to see it. From the very first email, call and meeting, the wonderful resident manager Maria was an absolute delight. She was phenomenal through every step of the process and clearly keeps the entire property beautifully maintained to the highest standards. We cannot wait to be a part of this wonderful community soon!

Great place to live! The Diplomat has a beautiful, well-maintained courtyard that gives the building a peaceful, welcoming feel. The manager is fantastic—super responsive and truly cares about the residents. Plus, the location is amazing—walking distance to shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and easy access to the freeway. Everything you need is close by. Highly recommend for anyone looking in Studio City!

Maria has made living at The Diplomat so welcoming. From the very beginning she made sure she gave us all the information on the apartment and introduced us to other neighbors. Maria hosts morning breakfasts for the community ever so often and it really makes it feel like such a great and safe place to live. She’s truly the best.

This is a quiet and cozy apartment community that's clean and decorated nicely with nature and plants. I've lived in a lot of apartment buildings and Maria is by far the best manager I've had. I also like the neighborhood and going for walks. A 10 minute walk to the nice Woodbridge Park. Would definitely recommend this place to live.

We lived at the Diplomat for about 8 years. And we wouldn’t have left it we didn’t need a third bedroom. The place and the environment is just so ideal. Safe, friendly, and still very private and homey. But the best part of the entire experience was our building manager Maria. So attentive, friendly, great at communicating, and one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. She made the entire place feel welcome and like they were home. So incredibly grateful to have lived there, and for Maria!

We're moving in to The Diplomat, and we could not be more excited! Maria as the manager made the entire process absolutely a breeze from our first communication, our walkthrough, our paperwork - all of it! She represents the community so well, and because of her we're excited to be a part of it. So much so, that she will literally be our new next door neighbor!

Yelp
We just moved in a few weeks ago, and so far everything has exceeded our expectations! The complex is clean, quiet, and immaculately decorated. Everyone who lives here is super friendly. I think the friendly and professional vibe is the direct result of the great efforts taken by our wonderful property manager, Maria. She's highly organized, quick to resolve issues, and clearly takes great pride in her work. We especially love all the plants, herbs, fruit trees, and hummingbird feeders on premises. Thanks, Carlo Inc, for making our new apartment immediately feel like home!

Yelp
I lived at the diplomat this past year and had a great experience. It's in a great location on top of being a super nice apartment. But what really put this place over the top is the onsite management. Jole went above and beyond w/ every request and whenever we did have any problems, they were taken care of in record time. Once my car battery even died and Geobert, another onsite property manager, was there to help me get my car started. Over the years I've lived at a pretty wide variety of places, and the service here was by far the best I've ever received. And I really wish I could have lived here longer.

Yelp
I lived at the diplomat for 5 years and I loved it. I'm moving away because my we bought a condo, and I'm actually getting a little emotional about leaving! I wanted to post this review with the info I was looking for when I moved in. I lived in the one bedroom apartment for 1 year, on the street side on the 3rd floor. I enjoyed it but there are some considerations: - It doesn't have central AC. It has a large wall unit which works fine BUT it doesn't flow into the bedroom very well, and it's super loud when you're trying to watch tv. I like to sleep with my room icy cool and the summer was a bit of a struggle. - You only share one wall with another apartment which is nice - The bedroom window overlooks the street. It seems like there is a trash truck 7 days a week and I would hear it every morning. Otherwise I never heard traffic even though it's technically near the freeway After living in the one bedroom, my boyfriend and I moved into a 2 bedroom on the third floor, a non-corner unit. It is more than double the size of the one bedroom for way less than double the price AND most importantly for me, it has central AC. The bedrooms are huge, lots of bathroom counter and storage space, closets are big. Windows are all new and block out noise well. It also has a "fireplace" with a mantle which is fun to decorate in the holidays. We lived in ours for 4 years and loved it. Here are the considerations for the 2 bedrooms: - the fireplace kind of throws off the feng shui of the living room if you want your TV somewhere other than the mantle. Also, the flame on ours was literally tiny and I never saw the point of running it, so I wished we could just have the wall space back - The kitchen storage is limited. Not a huge deal - There's only one AC vent in the living room so if you have a lot of people over or you're cooking with the oven it has a hard time keeping up General tips about the complex: - everyone gets one tandem parking spot but you can pay $50 for another tandem spot. There is usually street parking close enough by, but my boyfriend got his truck broken into when it was parked closer to vineland and we have 3 cars, so we bought the extra spot. - They do a really really great job with maintenance. I never had anything left unfixed for more than a day or two. They are really careful about the plumbing, so even if I just had a drain clogged with hair, Rogelio would come out and take care of it for me. - They are kind of funny about the property. You're not allowed to have your own doormat. They supply their own. Blinds have to stay up because they want it to look uniform from the outside. I think we even got a letter once about not putting Christmas lights in our window for the holidays. I could be misremembering that but it just seemed silly. - The fitness center is new and usually empty. The tv in there only gets one channel. - Water is included in your rent. Cable internet is through spectrum - You need a code to get in the garage AND you need a code to get OUT of the garage. The code to get out is just silly - it just needs an automatic sensor or something. - The lack of elevator is a bummer. Costco runs are only for the strong. - The buzzers in the apartments for when someone needs entrance to the building are SO. LOUD. Give you a heart attack loud. Wake you from a deep sleep when you're in another room loud. I can hear them from other apartments LOUD. - You have to supply your own fridge or pay to rent one from management. I think it was $35/month in 2015. There wasn't a water hookup for an ice maker in our 2 bedroom. - As of right now there's a good mix of residents and everyone is really respectful. Some families some couples some friends and some single folks. Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves but is very kind whenever you run into each other - Laundry room still takes quarters and the washers are really small but they're well maintained and clean. It does suck going up and down the stairs on laundry day. - I found it refreshing that the owners would invest in updates to the property. During my 5 years, they built the fitness center and storage rooms, completely redid all the landscaping, painted the railings, and installed brand new water efficient toilets in all the apartments. We were never disrupted by the work - it was done quickly and quietly. - Rent increases each year were about 2% - The neighborhood across Fair is absolutely gorgeous - You're close to all the restaurants on tujunga and ventura - Super close to every freeway. You have a freeway in every direction EXCEPT who. Traffic on the 101 is of course brutal during commuting hours but you're super close to the red line. Overall I would recommend Carlo properties and would definitely live at the diplomat again.

Yelp
My name is jack, this is the 3rd apartment I have lived in since moving to Los Angeles, and I must say that is has been a fantastic experience! EVERYTHING works, ALL the time! On the off chance something does go wrong Jol'e (property manager) has it fixed immediately! Not only that, she is an extremely welcoming property manager who takes the time to go the extra mile to do little things that make it feel like a "home", rather than a "apartment complex" by decorating for the holidays, stopping by to say hello, and she is always there if I happen to lock myself out :) if there is an opening I advise you grab it while you can, you wont be disappointed!

Yelp
I met with Jolé who was super nice and very professional. She was thorough showing me all the amenities and informative about the building. The grounds are kept clean and there was no complaints. My problem was my refrigerator did not fit in the allocated spot and I just bought it. Jolé followed up with me immediately and has followed up regularly.

Yelp
It's been more than 4 years now(!) and I still LOVE living here. My roommate and I are two of the longest residents here. That says a lot. I'm pretty picky about where I live (location, cleanliness, responsiveness, etc.) and the Diplomat more than satisfies all of the above! Most importantly, Jole and Jobert, our building managers are second to NONE! They are exceptional. They are quick to respond to any apartment issues, they are the tidiest and, most importantly, they are KIND! A kind building manager?! Who knew?! I'm more than happy to write this for the building we live in. Here's to many more years to come!

Chansi S.

Yelp
I moved out to Los Angeles in June and stayed at the Diplomat as a guest while I looked for my own place. I really enjoyed my time there. The apartments were clean, well maintained and Jole and Jobert were great. They really seem like they care about the people and the building. I loved that it was walking distance to Starbucks, Jamba Juice and Aroma Cafe. Plus all the highways were close by. The only reason I didn't rent from them is because I have a dog and they don't allow pets. For that, they get four stars and not five.

Yelp
I seriously considered moving here only because the property manager Jole has the community so well kept and clean, the cleanest communal laundry I have ever seen plus she was so helpful and willing to go above and beyond to coordinate how my furniture could fit in their unit. The only reason I didn't take the apartment is I need a lot natural sunlight in my space. The apartment was also cleaned and maintained so well. Jole, let me know when an apartment opens up with a lot of natural sunlight and I will be there!

Yelp
I have been looking for an apartment for about 2 weeks now. I came across the extra informative ad on Craigslist with lots of great photos and made the call. Jolé was the on-sight manager who answered and she set up an appointment that was convenient for my schedule. We met and she gave us a tour of the beautiful property and answered all of our questions. Never did we feel rushed. She was so nice and helpful. I had looked at at least 10 other places before this one and this place really impressed me. The building was in pristine condition and the unit itself was immaculate. We put in an application on the spot. Great building, great management!

Yelp
A wonderful place to be. This building is in one of the best neighborhoods in the Valley - super easy walking distance to a great park; the boutique, classy Tujunga Village; and Ventura Ave. It's also a super-cozy, quiet place. But most especially: the manager is fantastic. Jole was so helpful in showing us a new unit (2 bed townhome), and assisting us every step of our application process. I recommend this building to all tenants looking for a comfortable place in a phenomenal neighborhood.

Yelp
Loved living here! Wouldn't have moved out if I didn't have a job opportunity in Northern California. The managers here, Jolé and Geobert, are the BEST! They are super responsive and get stuff done within a day or two. Not to mention, they are very kind and happy people in general. Miss you guys!

Angelica L.

Yelp
Jolé is the best apartment manager I've ever had. She responds to concerns as soon as she can, the grounds are kept clean, and there's a cozy and homey feel to the apartments. I'll be moving abroad soon, and I think I'll seriously miss the holiday decorations she puts up throughout the year most!

Yelp
I've been a resident of The Diplomat Apartments for about 3 1/2 years before moving and relocating to New York where rent is SOOO much more expensive! The grounds are well kept clean and almost all the apartments have been recently remodeled with fireplaces and dual pane windows! The location is fantastic (block away from Ralphs) and central to all the major freeways (101S, 101N, 170S, 134W all within 3 mins from the apartment). Ooooh! And they have a super uhm....strict....professional....goes strictly by the book....every-landlord-should-be-happy-to-have-her....no-nonsense....did I mention very professional?....Yes I did.... manager Jole who's extremely helpful with building issues and maintenance requests! She's super helpful and always available! :) My only thing is I wish they had a gym or a pool. But other then that, amazing place to live! Also they should update the pictures on their yelp page because those are old pictures. Ask for their move in special if they have one!
