"At 186 Portobello Road lies The Distillery, a four-floor mecca for the discerning drinker. The first of its kind in the UK, we are not only a working distillery in the centre of London, but also home for the internationally-renowned Portobello Road Gin and the critically acclaimed gin-blending experience, The Ginstitute, The Resting Room, The Malt Floor, a private dining room, and three guest lodgings."
"Set along Portobello Road, the Distillery takes its inspiration from the history of gin; the on–site Resting Room bar serves rare international spirits. Don’t missthe Ginstitute, a beloved neighborhood museum that was relocated to the hotel’s basement, where travelers can create custom blends using rare botanicals."
Good food, TERRIBLE SERVICE.
It felt like hours to order, and the waiter that sat us down(who was impolite in the first place), never looked at us again so we had to grab a different waiter to order.
The waitress that gave us food was also amazingly impolite, and it took forever to get the bill.
The location was perfect for tourists like us, and the interior was also pretty but definitely NOT RECOMMEND.

We went for the Whiskey Experience tasting and were very pleasantly surprised. The value for money is extraordinary, the “guide” was knowledgeable, patient and funny. The whiskey selection was varied, curious and sometimes surprising. Truly an interesting and sensory experience. Would 100% recommend. Thanks again!

Great friendly service and good tip on the chocolate Martini (def for the people with slight sweet tooth). Didn't get the chance to do the gin tour. But was told I could blend my own version, and I could arder it in the future. Sounds like I will have to visit for round 2.

Very quiet brunch on a Monday around 11am. The extravagant entrance could do more in the inside decor. Good portions, the potatos came out very cripsy and hot 👍 i asked for poached instead of fried on my chorizo hash. Coffee is quite average. My partner ordered the truffle toast and it was VERY heavy on the mushrooms. £ ~15 per person

The place looks really good, the waiters were friendly and the food was ok.
The avocado toast was very small and the Benedict eggs needed more time, the egg white was juicy.
The truffled fries with parmesan were not good and they added the parmesan later and the taste of the truffle was barely there. The fish was way too oily but the taste was ok.
The sweet potatoes and the lemonade were delicious.

I'll start with the positive, really nice place, super location, beautiful spaces. And the drinks were good but the service is really a tragedy. The waiter threw a menu like a dog on the table, I asked for water twice, no one brought it to us. Food really small portions, nothing much for the money. We were really disgusted, we waited half an hour for the bill. I do not recommend.

Brilliant gin experience! I had a few to choose from in London and so glad I chose this one. The knowledge, company and the actual gin were perfect for me. Nicole was an excellent teacher and the whole gin-making experience flew by with so much fun! Thank you 😍

The location was special and cosy, the staff were friendly and the dry martini was well done, mixed with their portobello Gin and white Vermouth. Prices are a bit steep.
