The Essential Guide to Naples, Florida

"Steps from the charming Tin City and overlooking the harbor, this is the epitome of seaside dining. In warmer months the front side opens to buoyed boats, and when temperatures dip, clear plastic walls keep everyone warm without sacrificing dockside views. Kids have a blast here watching private jets roar overhead to land at the nearby airport. It may be considered a sin to eat here without ordering the fish tacos—served blackened, grilled, or fried—then topped with pico de gallo, red cabbage, cotija cheese, baja sauce, and esquites (Mexican street corn)." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Google
Best thing I loved here was the vibe, decor, and dockside dining. It's bigger than it appears at first glance with 2 outdoor dining areas, and an indoor area too. Food temp was an issue, but it was recooked to remedy the food temp issue, yet the mashed were still barely warm the 2nd time. The fish was definitely flavorful. We had the Grouper in Key Lime sauce, and the Chilean Sea Bass. It may have been an off night where they were maybe short staffed including possibly a food runner since it was a Monday, yet it was still busy. Home made cornbread was so good we took a 2nd order to go! Our server was ok and meant well, but could've been a little more attentive. I have a feeling if you visit, you'll have a better experience with the food temp and service. As a Wedding and Event DJ I was visiting Naples for a wedding where I was the DJ. I'd still visit, would revisit, and recommend you do.

We had Hannah, AMAZING service from her and the vibes here are incredible. Sat on the corner table with the bay behind us. Ordered half a chicken and lobster bisque! Amazing night with a great view. Ask for Hannah when you get there! Thank you again!

Google
Looking for a pet-friendly seafood restaurant, and this is is a very nice one with outdoor/patio seating. The view is very relaxing and there were a couple smart birds trying to get the food from the table. The service is good.

Google
Nice waterfront dining? July & August? It's gonna be hot. Got more of a local vibe than tourist trap. Craft beer folks, they have several really good local brews and I thank them for that. Service was great. Peel and eat shrimp seemed fresh and decent size. Blackened grouper tacos were plentiful with fish not filler. Key lime pie actually had meringue rather than cool whip, (the way key lime pie is supposed to be served). Another thank you. Super clean bathrooms with cold A/C. All in all a great experience. We would go back.

My best friend and I had such a fantastic experience at The Dock at Crayton Cove! From the moment we were seated, the view alone set the tone- waterfront dining that feels both relaxed and special. The food was outstanding: the Key Lime Grouper was bright and flavorful, the Pineapple Chilean Sea Bass was perfectly cooked and beautifully balanced, the Tuna Tartare was fresh and delicious, and the oysters were some of the best we’ve had in Florida- paired perfectly with cocktails. Our server was wonderful! Attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely made us feel cared for. Between the service, the food, and the view, everything came together for an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend for anyone looking for fresh seafood, great drinks, and an unbeatable Naples setting!

Google
I have pepper allergy and Server went extra mile to ensure no pepper in my dish and the sous chef even came to explain how he cooked the dish. I deeply appreciated the effort ❤️ Seafood was fresh and without much seasoning, it was delicious and juicy👍 highly recommended 😊

Google
We had a party of 7, we were seated quickly and the waiter was very attentive. The meal did take a while to come out as they were very busy but the food was definitely worth the wait. The waiter comped us dessert to compensate for the wait. I had the Chilean Sea Bass which was awesome and someone had the Snapper another grilled shrimp and the rest had the fish and chips all meals were great. We would go back!

Google
Great food and service. Dave was so accommodating. I had the shrimp nachos and my husband had the shrimp platter. Both were very tasty. I love how they give you a post card with your receipt. Now we can send it to someone back home. I would recommend trying it out.

Yelp
First off the ambiance is absolutely fabulous. Sitting outside near the water, especially during Christmas time with the lights and the music was fabulous. The service was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious, especially after a long day of traveling.

Yelp
November 30, 2025 Food: Nice selection of beer and wine priced as expected. The fried grouper was average and a bit overpriced, in my opinion. The sea bass was average and overpriced as well. Lobster bisque was pretty good. Service: Server was good and very helpful with menu selection. Drinks and food were timely. Ambiance: Great location on the water. Very nice decor and exceptional atmosphere.

Yelp
Great meal as usual at The Dock, on our once-a-trip visit. We sat overlooking the dock, of course. The menu has been updated a bit - keeping things interesting! We started with the cauliflower appetizer - it was delicious even though it didn't have the tahini sauce we remembered from our previous visits (note to chef: totally ok with us if you add that back into the recipe!). I ordered the key lime grouper and hubs ordered the pineapple Chilean sea bass, both old standbys for us. They were both super yummy - my grilled grouped had a nice mild taste, served over delicious mashed potatoes with a slightly lime-tasting white sauce over top. I am not a fan of crab cake but hubs took care of that, and really enjoyed his sea bass as well. Our server was friendly and quick. It's not officially the season yet and this was a weeknight, so parking was a breeze. Until next time!

Yelp
We sat outside on a Friday around 2pm for a party of 6. Our server Marco, was terrific. I was able to try a couple draft samples before deciding. It was great, food was awesome, and view outside was terrific! We got curry mussels, lobster mac, Thai peanut salad with grilled shrimp, and everything was amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
Talk about a hidden gem! We stumbled upon this place after the Christmas Boat Parade tickets were sold out on the dock. They mentioned we could see the parade from the restaurant, so we tried it out. They seated us outside which had the perfect view of the parade! The ambiance was incredible. We only stopped in for drinks this time around, but will certainly return for dinner in the future which looked like an incredible selection!

Yelp
This place is super cute ! Been here for over 50 years buts looks brand new Kept up very well ! We were seated right away and greeted right away ! Love that ! Our waitress was super nice ! My brother enjoyed the oysters from Washington state I had the salad I liked the shrimp but way too much dressing , it made my salad too soggy I would had preferred the dressing on the side but everything else great ! And the view was breath taking You can also walk out on the pier and really get close to the water Definitely a cute place and could be romantic at night!
google avatar

Sandy L.

Yelp
As return customers to The Dock we love the food! Be sure to sit out by the water because the view and vibe is 10/10. I highly recommend the lobster bisque due to the large pieces of lobster and the fluffy cornbread!
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
Had such a great experience here! We had dinner right by the docks on the water, which made for such a perfect atmosphere. I ordered the braised short rib on our waitress's recommendation, and wow it was absolutely delicious and did not disappoint. We also tried the docksicles, which were light, refreshing, and the perfect way to end the meal. The food, service, and overall vibe made for an amazing evening. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Yelp
Delicious food! What a wonderful restaurant. The service is super friendly and helpful in this charming cozy comfortable restaurant! The food was exceptional too! First we had an appetizer and drinks then we had our main courses! The food was very tasty and the place has a very comfortable air about it! The freshness of the seafood and the crispness of their greens was fantastic ! A definite place to go when in Naples! Please see pictures below and let your eyes do the feasting for you!

Yelp
Husband and I ate lunch at the Dock in Naples. . It's been around since 1976. We sat at a table by the water. Drew was our waiter and he was great! My husband had lobster bisque and a shrimp Louis salad. I had the Thai peanut salad with shrimp. Everything was excellent. We really enjoyed the restaurant, the Polite staff and the food. Great place!!

Yelp
Every time I go to Naples to visit my family I check my trusty Yelp for a new restaurant to explore. I swear ya'll were gatekeeping this place! A bit of an older crowd, local, chill with upscale feel. The staff, unmatched, incredibly welcoming and kind. --from the warm welcome from the host to our hilarious server. Fun fact about me, if there's coconut shrimp on the menu, I am 95% of the time going to order it. This coconut shrimp did not disappoint, I wish there was more! Another fun fact about me, my go to drink is Prosecco. I am 100% of the time ordering a Prosecco for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I decided to try the Prosecco with watermelon popsicle. Absolutely delicious... Must try! This outing was a late lunch/early dinner and I was craving something that would hold me over for a few hours... The spicy rigatoni lobster spoke to me. It tasted like heaven, the perfect amount of lobster, and just enough spice. I found my new favorite place! Make sure you head over ASAP.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! All three entrees, the sea bass, the snapper, and the salmon had such distinct flavors! The service was impeccable. Our waiter was attentive and quick to serve us! Since it's not season, we were able to get seated pretty quickly. It was not crowded inside.

Yelp
Super cute restaurant right on the harbor. Plenty of food and drink options and great for big groups! You cannot skip the key lime pie!!

Yelp
This is a good establishment for casual , yummy dinning. I have nothing negative to say for a casual evening. The menu has lots of yummy things to be found on it , the atmosphere is positive and lively , this is a good establishment for a very casual night out. Good service Everytime.
google avatar

Jordan B.

Yelp
Food is very expensive for what you get. Clam chowder was very good. Lobster Mac n cheese was ok. Nothing spectacular. Blackened grouper tacos were good. Good flavor.

Max B.

Yelp
Incredible view, incredible food (I ordered the salmon and it was scrumptious), and great service. Only downside was that they were playing Christmas music two days after Christmas but I'll let it slide.
google avatar

Brian D.

Yelp
Wanted a nice waterfront and romantic lunch with my wife, was greeted pleasantly, ordered the lobster bisque and it tasted good, unfortunately was not able to order lunch because the server was busy chatting with co workers... Terrible service, beautiful location
google avatar

Yelp
First time visiting this place and the staffs were friendly and took us to our table right away. The place is very open and look very nice. The Dock is on the water and our waiter was friendly and attentive. We ordered the red curry mussels, very flavorful and not spicy at all if you are worry with the fresno chili in it. We also ordered Florida grouper sandwich, spicy lobster rigatoni, and macademia nut crusted snapper and we think they need to add more seasoning on the snapper but overall pretty good food especially the spicy lobster rigatoni...Yummm ...so delicious! The people that ride boats can dock here and eat at the restaurant.
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
Nice having places to go and eat with a view on the water. Been coming here for years, always consistent and yummy. Watching the boats etc on the dock is always nice. They use to have live music here and there, which we always enjoyed. Definitely an oldie but a goodie in Naples.

William T.

Yelp
This was honestly the best seafood I've ever had. Everything was perfect -- from the calamari to my stepson's swordfish to my own grouper. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. What really blew me away was that my wife, who never eats seafood, was seriously impressed. That alone tells you how good this place is. If you want incredible food, great service, and a spot that can convert even a non-seafood eater, The Dock is the place.
google avatar

Hillary G.

Yelp
We had dinner here while staying at the Cove Inn. Our food was delicious- large portions, great flavor, plenty of options for everyone! We sat out on the patio right by the water. Our waitress was very attentive and offered recommendations. We ordered the macadamia nut crusted snapper and the key lime grouper. Each had its own unique flavor with perfect sides. The crab cake was perfectly made with a lot of crab meat. We would definitely come back!
google avatar

Michele G.

Yelp
Nice location right on the water with outdoor seating. Service was great- nice and quick. Food was yummy- has a selection of seafood from shrimp nachos to paella to grouper (and ribs). All was delicious. Overall nice lunch and good portions - recommend

Mary Jo G.

Yelp
Overpriced and disappointed $21 for a martini in a tulip not martini glass Seafood paella all rice just ok. Not 5th Avenue Service was fine

Jake H.

Yelp
Looking for great seafood and willing to splurge last Saturday nite. First time eating in the area. Sat by the water, wonderful view, smell of salt water in the air. Prices were high but willing to overlook if the food is good. Left disappointed. Service was good. Had a bowl of lobster bisque to start. Nice chunks of lobster but overall watery and lacking flavor of a nice, rich bisque. Main course was Snapper Pontchartrain. Decent portions but definitely a little on the bland side for the price. Was expecting gastronomic heaven but left a little wiser.
google avatar

Annie M.

Yelp
Overpriced food and mediocre service. We ate there for my mom's birthday, and the experience was mediocre at best. The server kept getting annoyed by us every time we asked for things that should've been on the table, like utensils or napkins or straws. Location is best part. Wouldn't return.
google avatar

Terri E.

Yelp
I'm usually skeptical of the waterfront restaurants. I've had bad experiences where it's a tourist trap selling you a beautiful view, excessive menu prices for mediocre or terrible food. The Dock at Clayton Cove was a pleasant surprise. Five stars all the way! The food, service, view, and overall experience was better than I anticipated. The Dock was also a lot nicer than I expected. The bathrooms were very telling as it was clean and even stylist in the decor. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Although it was a very cold day, by the time we finished with our fishing charter, the sun was coming out so we opted to sit on the patio with no windows. Our seat was next to the water with a spectacular view. When we sat down, I could feel the heat coming from above and noticed they installed heaters above the patio that lined it all the way down. So smart, more coverage. Goran was our server. You can't miss him as he is the tallest server there. Such a nice guy and so patient. Even when my kid accidentally knocked over a water glass and broke it, Goran immediately went over to him to ask if he was ok. Then he assured him they would get it cleaned up and it was no big deal. Another server came over to sweep up the broke glass and said to my son, "It's ok. It was a happy accident." Think Bob Ross. Ha. So cute and so nice. Both of them. We ordered blackened grouper sandwich, blackened mahi fish tacos, kids fish & chips, calamari and clam chowder. It was a lot of food and not gonna lie, everything that came out was fresh, hot and tasty! Even the kids meal ya'll. The fries were perfection because it was double fried. Incredibly crispy. No joke. I had the fish tacos and added avocados as an upgrade. Honestly, although it was really good, I didn't need the avocado. It was so much food. The corn was like a Mexican corn in a bowl and that was my favorite part. A burst of flavor. I had to add it to my tacos which elevated my tacos. Yummmmy!!! Goran and his co-workers were excellent and they all worked together. I'm happy we came here for lunch and will definitely come back next time we're in the area. The view and food cannot be beat! Trust me!
google avatar

Si B.

Yelp
This place was cute. Not sure it was worth the price but you pay for the view. Drinks seemed watered down. Key lime pie was the best thing we got and worth the $13 lol
google avatar

Samantha W.

Yelp
The fish tacos were excellent. Others had a cheeseburger, a salad, and the Shrimp Louie Salad. The shrimp were stellar. I had a daiquiri and others had beers. The ambiance was delightful with completely outside seating overlooking the marina. The staff wanted all parties present so it took a minute to get a table. I'm not sure if they took reservations so I probably could have done that. But it was such a short wait it didn't matter. Our server was delightful, Ryann from Kentucky. (She also goes by Heather!) We really enjoyed our meal and I've already encouraged others to try The Dock!

Frank T.

Yelp
Way overpriced for what you get. Portions are a joke. My grouper dinner comes with whipped potatoes and veggies. The grouper I got was 3 bites. I ordered a side of truffle fries. Basically was give a handful of frozen fries with some grated cheese. Also failed to bring the whipped cream potatoes and veggies. My wife ordered the King Crab legs. Another joke. The crab was awful. It wasn't a big beautiful king crab leg. More like a snow crab leg. The leg meat came out in shreds instead of one nice piece. My bill: $150.00 and we're still hungry. Avoid this place like the plague.
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
Firstly I will say, order any of the fish dishes and you will be happy. All of the seafood was very fresh from the water tasting and well balanced flavor-wise. My brother and sis in law and I got the swordfish, the snapper and their signature grouper with crabcake on top. We all ended up sharing bites and no one could decide which was best. I wish I would have taken more pictures. Calamari was well prepared, fresh and crispy. I was told the lobster bisque soup of the day was delicious. Lobster pasta had generous lobster and the fish and chips were not greasy at all. Service was thoughtful and attentive, though a bit more of a relaxed pace than in my hometown of Chicago. But it made for a relaxing, enjoyable dining experience. We were able to savor our food and have good conversation which was so nice. Drew took good care of us and even checked with me on spice tolerance for my dish which I really appreciated. (Butter sauce on the side for snapper if you're unsure if you can handle heat. It is definitely spicy! In a Smokey sweet way. ) Also key: along with a fun drink menus there was very nice selection of delicious non-alcoholic cocktails which was a happy surprise for my sober brother. All in all a lovely experience. I definitely don't understand low reviews. Maybe we just ordered really well. Ambiance was peaceful and lovely, even sitting at a round table somewhat in the center. They don't take reservations and parking can be a challenge but it's worth it!

Yelp
Stopped by this restaurant during a day trip with my family from Fort Lauderdale. We were looking for a place to eat by the water and found this gem. The restaurant has a super cute setup with plenty of outdoor seating, and the bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. Service was top-notch--our waitress was friendly, helpful, and took the time to go over the menu and daily specials. The food was good, but it felt like it was missing something to really stand out. Overall, a nice experience with a great vibe!
google avatar

Mike K.

Yelp
A classic indoor outdoor spot in Old Naples near the wharf, this place checks all the boxes: good cocktails and some local beers; fresh catch specials; usual fried suspects; and water views. One the best calamari anywhere, a mahi mahi topped Caesar and fresh shrimp guaranteed we'll be back. It's a good spot if you are looking to avoid the glitz and glamour of "new Naples"
google avatar

Sam P.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurant in Naples. Everything on their menu is out of this world and nothing beats its ambiance. In season, be patient with service because it's always packed.
google avatar

Posey B.

Yelp
Amazing outdoor dining with Covered patio garden on the water I had the spicey watermelon maragarita which was delicious, but a bit pricey. The shrimp nachos had plenty of small breaded shrimp with cheese and chili sauce-- which I had never had before , but loved. My husband had the fish and chips, which were very good, but he would have liked more fish lol The service was very attentive! I would definitely come back and recommend
google avatar

Bob F.

Yelp
Ok--let's start with food. First--the Brussels Sprouts--Holy Moly--horrible. Soggy, dull, and rather sloppy. Not good Next --the Shrimp Salad. You ever take home a leftover salad from a restaurant and try to eat it couple of days later but the lettuce turns into an ugly mess--salad gets old fast. This is what I was served--not a bit of freshness in it. Ugh! Finally--service. The 4 of us walked up to the host and waited for the folks in front of us to be seated. The Host said to the first set of people--go look around for a seat. I thought that's what we had to do and so we preceded to find seats ourselves. There were a couple of tables open and we chose one. The server came up to us and asked if we stopped at the host stand and I said we did and they said--go look around for a table. The server said ok and we sat at that table. And we're served. After our crappy meal we waited forever to get our bill and when the server finally delivered it she began lecturing us on not grabbing a table like we did because a host should have seated us. She literally told us not to do it again when we come back. Meanwhile we are signing our bill and ready to tip. We did tip her --but dang--she got lucky she got one. Don't lecture your customers like we are children. Sorry---we won't be back. Not good.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a blast dining here with family! The restaurant is right on the water and just such a great place to enjoy a meal as the sun sets. I ordered the burger with fries which was delicious. It's a double patty burger so if you get that prepare yourself for a hearty meal. We lucked out and made it just in time for happy hour so naturally we knocked back a couple margaritas too. The service is wonderful and everyone is attentive and we enjoyed our time here. Will definitely come back next time I visit!
google avatar

Darrell M.

Yelp
We had Louie salads. It was OK but nothing special. The ambience is the best . You can't beat sitting out on the water. Good service from our server.
google avatar

Patrice N.

Yelp
A little local gem . Dimly lit . Old low ceilings . Open dockside seating . Menu was reasonably priced . Drinks were good . Let's talk corn bread . Amazing ... Parmesan calamari was delish . We loved our first time . Walked along the dock afterwords ... everything was delicious .
google avatar

Linda P.

Yelp
This was our first time at the Dock. I must say I highly recommend this restaurant. We were a party of 4 and had lunch on January 25th. 3 of us had the double hamburger with caramelized onions, cheese, and a delicious orange sauce that was sweet and spicy. A great addition to the burgers. We had the grilled chicken sandwich on toasted sourdough bread . With Avacado lettuce and tomato. That too was delicious. They were all served with a good portion of piping hot French Fries . Cooked to perfection! Our waiters name was Dave. We had excellent service as well. We sat overlooking Crayton Cove. The menu had offerings of 2 kinds of soup and many salad choices. I highly recommend The Dock as great place for lunch or dinner. 5 star rating!
google avatar

Darlene B.

Yelp
A friend who lives in Miami recommended I come here when she learned that I was visiting Naples so I made it a point to add this spot to our list. My sister and I were coming from the Midwest before this trip where it was still snowing in April so enjoying a meal by the water seemed like the perfect idea! We went for a Sunday brunch. We got seated close to the docks. It was a windy day but it was a nice spring day, i really like their open space. We ordered some really delicious fish tacos, fresh oysters, and fries. It was just the perfect start to our week of eating delicious seafood!
google avatar

Randi S.

Yelp
The food was expensive , the waiter was either not listening or overworked. The vegetables were overcooked . The location was great, but not sure if I'd go back
google avatar

Nick W.

Yelp
Nice location on the water. They have outdoor covered seating so it can get toasty during the summer months. Great atmosphere looking over the water though. The Key Lime Colada and Rum Runner were good. They used to have conch fritters but no more. The food was mostly good but not great. It was expensive and just didn't fully satisfy us (with the exception of the key lime pie which was exceptional). The seafood tower was a bit of a disappointment especially for the price. The bartender waited on us and it seemed like the service industry wasn't the ideal career choice for him.
google avatar

John W.

Yelp
Nice open air restaurant and great service. The Snapper Pontchartrain was a great dish with some a kick as well as the lobster Mac n cheese!
google avatar

Greg P.

Yelp
Service and location is great. Family feel with solid food. We would go back but it is especially good for multi generational party as there is something for everyone.
google avatar

Katie E.

Yelp
Unfortunately, when it came to the mouthwatering seafood you hope to get when eating right on the water, The Dock fell short. We ordered the fish tacos and the lobster roll. Although the lobster roll was pretty good, the fish tacos were probably the worst I've ever had. It was very dry and the flavor wasn't there - I couldn't eat the last one. And with prices as high as they are I was expecting to at least be able to finish my meal. The staff was friendly and the view was pretty. (The restrooms were also surprisingly very nice). Overall there are plenty of other seafood restaurants in the area that are way better than The Dock.
google avatar

Gabrielle A.

Yelp
This place really is awesome - super casual, open-air with awesome views. Service is good too. We haven't had a TON of the menu yet, but I will be back in the future. So far we've had the Mussels which we loved, the Calamari which was also delightful, and the key lime grouper. I'm not sure if in the off-season they have a true happy hour, but I know right now they have a half-price (just about) margarita deal at happy hour time. We had one and they were pretty good for 7 bucks with a bay view of yachts!! Will definitely return, even if for just some drinks and an appetizer!

Liam B.

Yelp
They gave me a kids size cup for what I'm paying for and these weirdos decided to fw the wrong person cuz this is what they get have a horrible day.

Jeffrey G.

Yelp
Great ambience and servixe but unfortunately the off season grouper not fresh served with soggy cole slaw. Wait until bigger crowds.

Michael N.

Yelp
I'm a big chowdah fan. Theirs is top 3 all time. Shrimp Loui salad was perfect. Our server was great. Scot was helpful and not intrusive. The location is on the Naples harbor. Covered al fresco, gentle breeze...there could be a cover charge for ambiance
