Location is close to most things in south bay area. Nice amenities with heated pool and gym that is open 24/7. Gym even has a stair master. Rooms are nice and breakfast is amazing for complimentary breakfast. Eggs, sausages, ham, waffles, toast, cereal, juices and variety rotating every few days. Space is overall very cute and clean with lots of areas on the first floor to sit down and work. Highly recommend.

Google
Giving this hotel a 4/5 because customer service and facilities were awesome, price was super affordable but the beds were uncomfortable (spring mattresses) and you can hear your neighbors through the connecting doors and people tapping and walking around from the floor above. Pool was heated so it wasn't freezing cold and they have cabanas and comfortable lounge chairs around the pool area which gave it a very nice resort feel. Plants in planters need to be watered because they were all half dead. They did a good job with the interior design of this hotel. Breakfast buffet was good enough. They had a waffle making station, cereal, sausage patties, eggs and diced potatoes that were way over seasoned. There's a bar in the lobby which is super convenient.

I don't typically write reviews, but the exceptional service at The Domain Hotel compelled me to share my experience from a recent business summit. While the hotel's modern interior and overall value were a pleasant surprise, it was the staff that truly made my stay. I had originally booked a room that, I soon realized, didn't have the natural light I was hoping for. I went to the front desk, and Kendra couldn't have been more helpful. Without any hesitation, she graciously arranged for me to switch to an upgraded patio room for the remainder of my stay. It was a simple act of kindness and great service, but it completely transformed my experience. Her willingness to help is the reason my stay was so comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you, Kendra, for going above and beyond. It’s because of you that I’ll be recommending The Domain.

Google
What a great find! We found this place for a cool little week getaway to visit friends and this place was great! Good service, good location to fun spots around San Jose, the hotel was very clean(always saw cleaning services and vacuuming around) and overall we would go back. We never got a chance to try out the pool area but the bar was small, but friendly and nice. Just wish they stayed open a bit later (they close at 10). But overall very happy with it.

I had a complete experience as I stayed in a guest room, hosted an event in the large meeting room and ate dinner two nights. All my expectations were exceeded. The guest room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff provided me and my event with superior service and the food was tasty as well as reasonably priced. Since my last visit the hotel has added more ambiance. And be sure to check out the coffee cups cleverly placed on hooks on the wall of the restaurant.

Very good breakfast. The rooms are clean and spacious. Nice modern hotel. It is located in a good location in town. Close to many restaurants. The front desk staff are very friendly. They have sleep number mattresses and are very comfortable.

Google
Rated a 4-star hotel this property did not live up to its billing. Yes, the room was nice, if cheaply done overusing old desks with metal legs bumped together to take up wall space. The paining was so poorly done that it was obvious no one checked it off, walls weren't patched over correctly, etc. The elevators were scary with signs saying they were checked monthly. Not to mention they were filthy. There were only 2 coffee pods in the room one regular one decaf. The refrigerator did not work, the front desk when asked for clean towels said yes, they would bring some up never did. We had to go get them ourselves. The floor staff was not allowed to give them to us. The carpet in the hallways was grody. Handrails were sticky. Our room had a balcony overlooking the street - fine, I guess, but the top of the entrance overhang under our window was a total missed opportunity, and also grody. Breakfast was included and we ate twice, food was cold, tables dirty, staff dressed sloppy & dirty, eggs uneatable, you get the picture. The staff also seemed proud of the food they put out, Why? Even the bananas were awful to look at. Would I recommend this place even with its 4 stars, absolutely not. The entire place seemed to have been done in a rush with no attention to detail. Really sad as I expect someone paid a lot for the renovations.

Google
We always look forward to the hot tub at every hotel we visit. This one is covered over and unavailable. The rooms are bare bones, the bathroom has missing chunks of grout and dingy spots in and around the tub. The floor around the door stopper is filthy. The toilet barely flushed, unless you hold it down for at least 15 seconds and even then it was a gamble. Everywhere you look, things are chipped, dirty or just not quite as nice as it looks. Disgusting crusty food type stains on the hall carpets and smashed gum. Oh, and the reservoir in the coffee maker is DISGUSTING, stains and reaidue. Yikes. This was all within our first hour at the hotel. Really wishing I had looked around more.

Yelp
The domain is literally the highlight of staying in San Jose ! Every time me and my husband want to go shopping at Santana Row we stay here , relax all day and enjoy this room to the fullest! We have paid for the nicest rooms and for the cheapest and either one does not disappoint! NIGHTLY RATE : amazing for being in the Bay Area , and completely worth having everything located INSIDE the hotel as opposed to outside like some cheaper places do . PARKING : if your a good Parker I suggest the underground parking because of how close it is to the elevator bypassing the lobby, however they have plenty of parking right outside this location as well. FOOD : they have some of the BEST FOOD just a round the corner , and we finally tried the dining room for dinner after staying almost 15 times before that and assuming it was overpriced we were surprised to see that not only was it decently priced but also AMAZING AND TASTED PERFECT ! ALL IN ALL: love this place , if they were not doing the remodel during the time we would have chosen here for our wedding venue , however we still come here every anniversary and when we just want to be romantic and alone !

Yelp
The five stars is for the bar and food area that has amazing customer service and food and drinks were great. The room was ok, water pressure sucked, the water was up to my ankles when I took a shower and the toilet had a slow flush, carpet in rooms was really old and looked dirty. Bed was ok and I liked being able to cracked the window for fresh air, beautiful in the area where you can lounge and eat, yes......I would come back and try a different room the customer service was great too!

Tony A.

Yelp
Horrible Stay. The room had a nasty cigarette smell penatrated into everything. The beds were hard as a rock. The toilet wouldn't flush and the the vent wouldn't work. The only good thing about our stay was the customer service and breakfast.

Shannon S.

Yelp
Definitely not the worst hotel I've stayed in, but there were little things that amounted to a mediocre stay. Let's start off with positives: each of the front desk staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of complimentary parking in the outside lot and garage level. The location was great for us. The A/C worked well. The lobby area was very spacious and open. A small store by the front desk is available for necessities and drinks/snacks. The hotel was much more affordable than many others in the area. Now the not so great parts: The window coverings were not fully blackout- a crack of light actually hit right at the head of the bed (see picture). This is not customary for hotels, especially with travelers (like myself) coming from different time zones. Our window was eastward facing so the morning sun was bright in our room. The toilet ran all the time. The bathroom sink had a small leak, which puddled onto the bathroom floor. The shower was dirty- I had to wear my sandals to shower. Parts of the room were not in good shape: like the tv stand/dresser area- the facade was chipped and broken. The overall room just felt dirty. Considering the affordability, at least I did not feel like I overpaid.

Jenny C.

Yelp
There were bright yellow pee/vomit stains on our sheets. There were also wet spots on the floor when we arrived. The bed was super stiff and uncomfortable. Staff doesn't seem to care about their jobs.

Ella S.

Yelp
I was staying at another hotel before and I called and spoke to Kellie she commentated me and my kids so quickly and was able to get us in promptly. Definitely upgrade in hotels for us the rooms were spacious and clean as well as the lobby and pool my kids lived in. The hot breakfast was great. The kids were able to make waffles I enjoyed the choices and variety. The service we had from Azzam was amazing my kids and I had a complaint by another guest an he acted quickly and resolved the issue for us. On our last day my kids were gifted coloring supplies and books from Kellie we felt like family here! Thank you all

JoAnn Y.

Yelp
I was very impressed with the front desk staff. I accidentally made the reservation for the wrong day and she was still able to accommodate me. The room was clean and they have a nice front bar and restaurant area.

Melissa V.

Yelp
My brother-in-law and sister-in-law were staying there for their anniversary with their family, I wanted to send some thing nice to their room and Ram was beyond helpful in this situation! They were so surprised and happy! Our families will Definitely will be staying there again!

Jacq E.

Yelp
Don't do it. This is not the place to stay for a celebration of getaway. If you're in a bind and no other rooms are available in the area and you're exhausted, sure... stay here. Otherwise, look at other options. The lobby is clean with modern decor. Staff was polite but not friendly. The room is ROUGH. The beds were haphazardly made, the dresser looked like it had water damage and was filthy, the shower is disgusting. Not pictured, the cockroach at our door. Floors are not clean. I don't know what's going on with the heat/air. It's either the freaking North Pole in here or Palm Springs in August. There is no middle ground. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

Linda W.

Yelp
Three nights with no hot water, with the promise of they are working on it. The manager who says she is the owner knew there was a hot water issue the week before I checked in. Only discount offer was a $12 parking fee credit. Unacceptable. I had to leave to find a hotel with hot water. One would assume hot water was on of the amenities!

Heather M.

Yelp
The good... the staff is incredible, and the rooms are clean. The not so good... it's a noisier hotel with a lot of traffic around you. I don't mind it.

Tiffany T.

Yelp
I didn't really have high hopes for this hotel but walking in, it smelled really great and the interior of the lobby was beautiful. They offered citrus water and free dog treats for ur furry ones in the front. Checking in was a breeze and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The rooms were okay, nothing special. Breakfast was not special at all. I just got one egg and 4 sausages for my breakfast. They didn't have much to offer maybe because it was a weekday morning. One thing that really upset me was that check out was supposed to be at 12 pm. I hear knocking at 9 am and the housekeeper came in and the housekeeper came in and my pet almost ran outside. He's only 3 months old and we stayed at this pet friendly hotel thinking it would be safe. Then again, i hear knocking at 10 am and had to grab my pet again. Then a third time the housekeeper comes in a little before 12 when i went down to check out. I get cleaning the room comes at 12 but please make sure we are checked out before coming in, especially when you guys claim to be pet friendly. It could have been so bad if i lost my pet. Or maybe offer "do not disturb" signs for the door because there was nothing available. Would not stay here again.

Yelp
The Domain Hotel Positive: Bed was great, location is great, staff was superb, facilities were nice. Negative: open Wifi, no password needed? Lickily, I was able to use my phone's hotspot. Parking was $12/night, but is open to public use with unsecured access (one night a grad party was in a large room off the lobby, very loud music, and most of the ground level parking was taken up by party guests and was not available to handicapped or other paying guests till after party, 10:30pm!) Carpet in room was dirty with many unsightly stains. Pool was nice but not heated. Not enough electric outlets, only one at each nightstand, only two at desk/counter. And no microwave. All in all it was ok, but not great.

Danica C.

Yelp
Unwelcoming & unreliable staff. Charge you extra of 150 dollars just for cleaning. Broken door lock.

Iryna V.

Yelp
I booked a hotel for a week. I booked the cheapest room. when I arrived, they told me that I would have to pay an additional $25 per night for the room, which is $175 per week, because there was no cheaper room. Later, I decided to extend the reservation for another week and when I went to pay for the same room, which I had blocked for $25 per day more, I was told to pay another $10 per day. those. At first I was asked to pay an additional $175 and then the next week $280 more. this looks like cheating.

Esther P.

Yelp
Cons --There was a lot of black mold in my bathroom ceiling. --The AC controller was dysfunctional. --There's a weird, sour smell in the air and rooms. --walls are very thin so you can hear neighbors party and have loud sex. Can't sleep at night Pros --water gets really hot, nice bathroom but tub dirty with mold

Kevin P.

Yelp
See my Photos I spoke to them I told them that it feels like I got the worst room because I booked on another vendor hotels.com so they gave us the worst room

Melissa T.

Yelp
I I believe this hotel is underrated! I have stayed here numerous times in the past couple of months. My Late Dad passed away in Mid April and we (family out of state) needed a comfortable and clean place to stay! I actually live literally in Santa Clara and have stayed at much more expensive places! The staff has always truly treated me with respect and the upmost care! From my booking agent Jack to the Hotel Manager Erin! I'm not sure if that's spelled correctly. They were always willing to answer any questions I had and extended reservations, canceled extra nights, found lowest rates...asked me my preference! They have a gym, a spacious pool and I had zero stress connecting to Wi-Fi. There was absolutely no stress! Thank you to an amazing staff! It was greatly appreciated! Best Regards, Melissa Talbot

Yelp
MOLD MOLD MOLD. we stayed in the executive suite and it was just awful! We've stayed at this hotel so many times before and have not had any issues before but this was just nasty. Ruined the whole experience. We didn't notice until the end of our stay. I wish I'd seen it before.

Shelli S.

Yelp
Although Timothy at the front desk had great hospitality and ended up upgrading my room when I pointed out the uncleanliness of the original room we were put in I am very disappointed at the accommodations. Extremely dirty. Black mold and general disrepair.

Dan C.

Yelp
I saw some bad reviews of the place, but I had a great experience on a recent stay. I was in town for work in Mountain View and was put in this hotel by the travel team. The hotel is on the low-frills end. There is a small lobby bar, a pool and a gym, but not full of amenities like a larger chain hotel. However, if you're here for business, none of the above should matter. I also would recommend a rental car because although it is located on a busy street, there just isn't much in walking distance. That said if you have a carm there is plenty to get to for food options. All of that said, they have a pretty solid, gets-the-job-done breakfast. The rooms are modern and have everything you need for a business trip. I spent a few hours working in the room and the wifi works well and although I was on the ground floor, right off the lobby, all was quiet in my room.

Smruthi S.

Yelp
Was looking for somewhere to stay last minute and this place was accommodating. They accept last minute & late night reservations. The staff and receptionist was very nice and friendly. The hotel is very modern looking and looks like a great hotel for business travel/accommodation. The room I stayed in was spacious and seemed pretty clean. However, I noticed that they had not emptied the trash can from the previous guest so I wasn't sure how thoroughly they actually clean the rooms. In addition, we noticed a few problems with the appliances: * The wine dispenser/ cabinet wasn't working and the touch screen didn't display * We had problems accessing hot water in the shower as heat labels didn't match the actual water temperature and it took a long time for the water to heat up * Not really a problem, but we wish there were some to-go cups by the coffee dispenser Besides this, overall had a pretty good experience and hope they can fix these changes soon.

Yelp
Great stay. In a very good location. The breakfast was good. I had a huge room. Lots of parking. The WiFi was great here also. Restaurants are right across-the street. Staff was great. Room was very clean. Uber everywhere. Great business stay. Did t really go out to look at the property.

Sejal S.

Yelp
Pretty sweet hotel, in the area. I was expecting more of a hotel for the price but I understand it is due to the location. It was comfortable, and the breakfast was great. Stayed for a work trip and had no issues at all. Would recommend this hotel. Pro Tip- the beds are super comfy!

Misty O.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst from no restaurant or bar as advertised view of a dumpster in a back alley not in a good area. Breakfast was horrible and they charge 17 for it per person. The elevator is a death trap waiting to happen. The only good thing I can say about this place is the bed was comfortable. I booked this place for my husband's birthday weekend and was extremely disappointed

Tamara L.

Yelp
this place is thieves , and has roaches and the staff is rude af , they lied and said me and my husband smoked weed in the room and charged us 350.00 to my account which we never did do, we know better than that , please beware of the mold and roaches they also have ! along with there unprofessional staff i will never stay here again if this was the last hotel on earth !! o stars

Sarah L.

Yelp
Employees were not friendly or helpful. Check in took forever. The rooms are clean and nicely set up but nothing special. Free wifi. Free parking and parking garage. Not right off the freeway.

Adrienne A.

Yelp
I had a good experience at this hotel. The check in was quick, and easy. The bed was a sleep number bed. I enjoyed the artwork. I hadn't expected to pay the 12$ per day parking fee. There was a big screw on the floor. I'm really glad I didn't step on it. There was also some piece of plastic?rubber? It was pretty big and I don't know what it was from- There was also something that I think was leftover drug paraphernalia, but I could be wrong. Aside from those things found in the room it seemed clean. There was no DND sign in my room, but the front desk attendant brought one up, and put it in the door for me. I would stay again, and make sure I check around the floor before taking my shoes off.

Mary L.

Yelp
Clean and friendly staff. I was a bit hesitant to book here based on the reviews . Didn't disappoint.

Cassandra C.

Yelp
My Husband and I stayed at the domain hotel twice once in December (which was really nice we had great service and a awesome room). So this past weekend for our anniversary we went back to stay but to our dismay we got a a smaller room then before and when we tried to upgrade to the sweet they tried to charge more than our previous stay. But since the room they gave us we got wasn't nice and wasn't special we opted to upgrade. But the upgrade was worst then the small room it was a suit but it had markers written all over the tables the walls where unfinished and over all was more like a 2.5 star then the 4 star we also were charged for the markers which wasn't us so I called and spoke to Mari who was super helpful at the end way better than Johnothan who helped us at first he was very short and not helpful. We loved the first stay but this last time made us think less of this hotel.

Brian D.

Yelp
It's a really nice little newer hotel ! Rooms are very clean and cozy I go here for Coin shows every six months It's easy to get to and has underground parking in the back but it's still really close to the entrance . Great place for small shows and a helpful staff!

Sandra H.

Yelp
Wouldn't stay here again ..... sure the lobby is decent ... but the rooms .... not very clean. Tile in shower has been pieced together with different styles after breaks - the floor of The tub is soft and feels like you could fall through. The water is Luke warm. Dirty baseboards and caulking to fill holes and sloppy paint job. Toilet paper holder falling out of The wall. Stained ceilings, bathroom fan sounds like it's about to take off to space ....wallpaper lifting and they set your AC to a set level so it doesn't really get cool in the room ....Good location for San Jose and surrounding area. And the bartender was nice. But all in all it's a no. Our friends stayed here too. They had a sleep number bed with dead batteries. They had cold showers. Not thrilled. I should mention I paid for the upgraded 'Executive suite'

Andrea R.

Yelp
PRO-TIP: CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT FOR ADDITIONAL CHARGES FROM THIS HOTEL. THERE WONT BE A REFUND. Stayed one night, got the whirlpool tub room, which did NOT have a sleep number bed, as advertised. Everything was reasonable. They're remodeling so not many perks or upgrades in the rooms now. The water was shut off at 10am because of construction, It was not previously mentioned, I learned of this during check in. I had to brush my teeth with bottled water, which of course, they charged me for. A week after our stay, I noticed some other excessive charges. I called the hotel @7am & was told we "destroyed" two bath robes & were being charged for replacement. I asked to have a manager call me, even mentioning that I did not want to call them back to remind them. I was upset that they never sent a receipt or even mentioned about $120.00 in additional charges! They just charged my card & hoped I'd never notice, I guess? I was assured that I would get a call back. At 2PM I called back & the same gentleman answered the phone & told me he forgot to tell the manager & someone would AGAIN call me back. I called later that night & the manager was again "unavailable" , then at 9pm at night I received a call and was told that they would look into it and call me back. A BUNCH of run-a-round later, I'm told that I've been denied a refund due to "me destroying two bath robes" the culprit, they described as blood and paint or makeup Nothing in the entire room had BLOOD or paint on it! Not one single towel, no sheets, no furniture, but they're accusing me of destroying two robes. Nobody had an accident or mensi situation, not even a paper cut!! It's absolutely ludicrous! Out of the two photos I received (after asking and waiting some more), one shows some odd small black dots, which they claim were taken after they washed them. If you notice, they're not taken in the room, but in some sort of area with old linoleum flooring & oddly enough, there's black gum or something on that floor that resembles the black crusty whatever, in the first picture, the other photo shows odd discoloration on the cuff of the sleeve, that was not there when I left the room. Idk, It's so light, maybe it was there & I didn't even notice? Which even makes me more upset to imagine! It's just ludicrous, nothing like this has ever happened before. The hotel is being absolutely unreasonable. They made me pay $120 for two old, used robes. I've escalated the situation with my bank, HOPEFULLY there'll be some sort of resolution! This is absolutely unfair. Makes me wonder if they're being tricky, in an effort to earn some more revenue, during the construction, considering part of the hotel is closed down and not earning any money

Beauty And T.

Yelp
I gave the one star review for the guy working at the counter named Blake that helped me get my refund. So let me start by saying I booked this hotel because I wanted to have a one night staycation with my son who is 12 months old just some mommy and son bonding time. So we get there to check in, and I find out that the hotel is not a full-service hotel, meaning they don't have a bell hop to help me and my son to our room. The setup of that hotel is very strange It has big stairs in the front, or a ramp I guess that was set up for wheelchair access, although the ramp was one of those winding ones and it was so very narrow that I had trouble getting up and down it with my stroller. So I told the guy I'm here alone with my son I don't know how I'm going to bring in my stuff, and he said since you're here with your son alone, I can have someone help you bring it in. So he calls basically the hotel maintenance guy, and he helps me bring me and the baby stuff to the room. I get into the room and initially it looks pretty nice, they gave me a room on the second floor that had a balcony that overlooked the swimming pool. Unfortunately that was the only nice part, I went to turn on the TV and they had a remote control that obviously did not come with the TV because the TV was LG, The remote look like a universal remote that was bought in 1995, I could barely figure out how to use it. On top of that I turn the TV on and they have no channels for kids to watch TV except cartoon Network which we all know is basically not for kids. No Nickelodeon, no Disney, and the movies that they did have on demand were like $20 each movies that you could watch at home on Netflix or something for free. That was really irritating to me because I was with my son and he had nothing to watch :( luckily I brought my tablet which has all our apps on it so we watched Disney on the tablet for the whole night. So the bathroom has a door from the living room that goes into the bathroom and then another door that goes from the bathroom into the bedroom. The door from the bathroom into the bedroom is one of those hanging sliding doors that hang from a track on the top. The door was clearly halfway off the track because when you tried to drag it it made a horrendous noise, So all night I had to get up go out the bedroom and in through the other bathroom door so I didn't wake up my son. Our neighbors upstairs were terrible they were up all hours of the night 1:30 in the morning, 5:30 in the morning, 7:30 in the morning just making a lot of noise on the floor. So after a practically restless night with my 1-year-old, we get up in the morning and go downstairs because we are told the hotel has breakfast. I asked where to go for breakfast and the guy tells me it's to the left, he says our breakfast is through a third party restaurant so you have to pay for it. So I ordered him a side of bacon and soft scrambled eggs. I paid, got my food and went to the room, when I got there I realized they gave me regular scrambled eggs not soft scrambled, so I called down to the desk and told them my son will not eat these he only likes soft scrambled, they apologize and said they would send up new eggs. The girl from the restaurant brought up new eggs again, and again they were not soft scrambled, they were softer than the last batch but they were not soft scrambled, So I decided to start trying to give it to him even though I know he doesn't really want it because I don't want to keep wasting the people's time when obviously they don't understand what soft scrambled means. So my son seems hungry and keeps taking bites but he keeps spitting it out and I can't understand why, so I taste the eggs myself and they have this terrible sour taste to them. I've been told when eggs stay sour that means that they are old. Next thing I noticed I look at my son's pajamas that he's been wearing since the night before until now which is about 9:30 a.m., and his socks and pajamas were just filthy a dark gray brown color. So I decided to take my son out of those dirty pajamas, and we went down to the desk and I took the pajamas with me. I told the guy kind of have a problem, and I put my son's pajamas on the counter and I said these are the pajamas that he's been wearing since last night. The man Blake at the desk said I'm sorry this is disgusting. He informed me that since I booked through hotels.com, at the property they couldn't do anything for me, but he would get in contact with hotels.com and ask them to give me a refund, I also told him about the breakfast how the eggs taste sour, so he had the restaurant on the property give me a refund as well. I went back upstairs to pack me and the baby stuff and I got a call from Blake at the desk and he said that hotels.com was going to give me a refund. I got the refund about 3 days later. Thank you for reading my review.

Yelp
How do you get over the little things that tick you off? I found myself upset while staying at The Domain Hotel because: -people at the pool playing music, vaping/smoking cigarettes, open bottles of beer and wine when there's a sign at the doorway that clearly states no personal music, no smoking and no glass bottles. -people letting their kids fist-fight at the pool and throw water bottles at each other in a crowded community area. -people smoking pot openly in public when there are young children around. -cars parked in handicapped spots with no placard. -lack of hotel security staff to deal with such a situation and front desk with their hands tied even when you report it to them.

Michael K.

Yelp
I stayed here two nights while in town for an interview. The hiring company picked this spot that I had never heard of. The Domain was easy to find and despite it having a garage around the side, I was always able to park up front right close to the door. My room was quite large and I later learned was equipped with a sleep number bed. First time using one of those and turns out that I am an 80. There was a comfy chair and a nice desk area as well. The room was fresh and everything in fine working order. My only room complaint was the super low flow shower head that I could never get the water to be hot enough from. The hotel is an easy walk to a great pizzeria and a Lucky's grocery store. I ate both mornings downstairs at the included breakfast buffet that was fine and convenient.

Yelp
At first glance the hotel appears nice and modern and overall the main areas are; however, my room needed some upgrading. The sleep number bed was nice and the pillows were comfortable, but there were a lot of damaged areas in the room that appeared to have been patched and re-patched one too many times. The tub was stained and I have no idea why blinds were hung over the walls near the windows or stained curtains over the mirrored closet. The walls were paper thin, so I could hear guests talking. Music blaring when you first enter the hotel is also a bit much.

Yelp
Shower is slow draining which means ankle deep showers. The sink is also slow draining too so you need to wait forever for the water to go down. One of the lights in the bathroom is out so only the light above the sink is operating which means ankle deep showers in a dark bathroom. The toilet also doesn't flush well. Bed squeaks like crazy. It makes the weirdest sound for about two seconds every time you move. Parking is limited. We came back around 11pm and thankfully there were two last spots left. If we hadn't consolidated into bringing one car, we would've barely made the cut into the parking garage. We called asking for one roll of toilet paper over half an hour ago and it's the middle of the day so there shouldn't be heavy traffic yet nobody has come. Update: 1 hour after after requesting for toilet paper, still nothing. Update 2: We eventually had to go get toilet paper ourselves since nobody was going to show up. Update 3: Front desk called to send a maintenance guy to help with the plugged up tub. I have to say, their maintenance guy and housekeeping aides are all extremely courteous and carry friendly dispositions. The light ended up working on our second night without replacement so I'm not sure what happened the first night. Ultimately, my final review is that it's a mediocre hotel but I do appreciate front desk taking initiative by reaching out to me when I voiced my dissatisfaction.

Yelp
"Cheap hotel" for Northern CA seems like an oxymoron, but it seems to apply to The Domain. The section of Sunnyvale it is in reminded me so much of staying in Shanghai and Beijing because the hotel is in the middle of some very good strip mall options for food. This is so unlike most hotels where you are forced to drive 10 minutes away from the hotel for food, if you do not want to eat very expensive room service at the hotel. The Domain is a modern, split or multi-level hotel. The rooms are like an Aloft hotel in that modern way that is a little cheap, but navigable. I was accepting everything that came my way about this hotel, until one moment of pause: my room looked over a trailer park. No kidding. I didn't see it on the road because it sits behind the restaurants that face the street, but it is definitely there. The real estate and development team behind The Domain certainly made some interesting decisions, but none that are reprehensible. They are just ones that will restrict them from raking in the money that some neighboring hotels can get per night. As for the rooms themselves, the beds are extraordinarily hard, but are comfortable overall. All in, The Domain is worth the cost. You should just come in with low expectations and you should close your blinds.

Yelp
Incompent staff to start, so sorry dear manager, but I do not care that you have three young sons if you assure me that breakfast is included and yet your staff the following morning wishes to charge me for same. I can name a dozen hotels that offer better value/etc

Yelp
Hotel bar is quaint. Prices are reasonable ($7-$25) for food. We didn't order food as we watched the bartender cough up a lung before heading to our table to take our order. We ordered two sodas ($3 each) and ate elsewhere. The rooms are decent, appear to be cleaned, rooms did have a faint musty or mold smell to them. Nonetheless this is a good hotel to stay overnight for a business trip. It is located on a Main Street and is next door to various restaurants and a few blocks away from conscience stores such as Walgreens. They have plenty guest parking right in front and a private parking garage for guest.

Yelp
I had a great time here. The hospitality from Charlie was incredible- he went out of his way to accommodate me and to ensure I had the best stay possible during my time there for work. His dedication to hospitality is what made my trip. I'll go back every time I have business in the Bay Area.

Yelp
Whoever Sam is that works at the front desk is very rude. I called to book a reservation and she told me the room I wanted was booked for the night I never asked if it was booked for the night I wanted it for the weekend she said it was booked and that she did not have to check because she knew that they had a big party I asked for her name she said Sam I asked for her last name to make a complaint and she decided to hang up in my face I called back and she never answered if there is a way that I can make a formal complaint about her being extremely unprofessional and rude I would love to do so. Very DISSATISFIED in this companies customer service.

Yelp
This updated hotel had its plus's and minus's. The good: 1) Beautiful modern look and updating 2) Free milk and cookies around 5:30pm in the lobby 3) Free full breakfast buffet with Expedia Elite reservations 4) Centrally located 5) Third floor rooms have balcony 6) Plenty of free parking The bad: 1) mediocre service, some staff were nice and others not so much 2) Very thin walls you can basically here your neighbors breathing LOL 3) If you have to pay for the breakfast buffet it is not worth it This is a good location if you want to find a affordable place to stay and catch an event at Levi Stadium. An Uber ride is only about $6.

Yelp
We live in the area and wanted a nice day to spend in the pool. We booked the two queen bed with balcony and couldn't be more pleased. The rooms are very clean and the beds are super super comfortable. 5 stars for the rooms. The pool is amazing and they have a few toys for kids to play with. This is our 2 time staying here for a stay-cation and it's never crowded. The staff has always been amazing. The General Manager has checked us in both times and is very nice and easy to talk to. The rest of the staff when either come down to ask a question or just anything are all amazing and super friendly. We've stayed at a lot of hotels out of town. This one for the price is totally Worth it for the rooms/staff/ and amenities. 5 stars

Yelp
I had a wonderful stay at this property. But first: this hotel suffers from a bit of an identity crisis, as you may tell if you read multiple reviews. I believe there are some king sized rooms that are completely renovated? The rest are kind of half-renovated. Our room had an old and damaged bathroom, with falling apart tiles, peeling wallpaper and mold. Half the room had very old wallpaper (80s? 90s?) on some walls and more recent painting and photo murals on others. The beds were brand new Sleep Number though, the linens were very clean and comfortable, and the room was very clean, even if furniture was worn. I would say the room was half 2 star and half 3 star. Overall it was nice where it mattered. I was pretty frustrated because I booked the room through Hotwire and they sold it as an unidentified 4 star. Nothing about this hotel is 4 star. That being said, over 6 days I really enjoyed my stay. Common areas were very clean. The pool was nice. Staff was wonderful!!!! The bed was very comfortable. Mostly it was very quiet. On Saturday night there was an event in their event space, right by our room. It went until 10 with loud music, and then there was vacuuming, none of which was great for kids. But overall, not a big deal. Never heard my neighbors on either side. I could hear my upstairs and downstairs neighbors, but only sounds not talking, and it wasn't bad. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel, but set your expectations. This is solidly a 2 or 3 star hotel (unless possibly you get a remodeled room - I don't have experience with them).

Yelp
By Far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The staff when checking in were rude and did not help whatsoever. The room was pretty dirty itself I felt a bit disgusted in there. The walls are so thin you can hear the people next door breathing. And the bed was so hard the floor seemed more comfortable. We stayed there last night and had to make several complaints because our "neighbors" were being loud and obnoxious between the hours of 12am-3am. Luckily the staff member at that time who's named Blake helped and tried to situate everything. Needless to say it was a horrible experience and would never go back again. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
I stayed at the Domain Hotel for two nights, and it was an overall great experience. The hotel is clean, quiet, and centrally located with food all around. What I enjoyed most was the great customer service I received. I was greeted with a smile by Erin the moment I walked in. She was helpful, patient with my questions, and very friendly throughout the entire interaction. Although this sounds simple, it's getting more and more difficulty to receive friendly hotel service (even at the more luxury hotels). Thank you Erin and team Domain Hotel for the great experience.

Yelp
Pretty bad experience overall. The domain hotel looks much nicer in photos than in reality. I had many many issues while staying here. The hotel was loud, and I mean LOUD. I checked in to get some sleep on my way home from a road trip. Due to the noise, I could not sleep at all. I asked the front desk if they could give me some earplugs, they didn't have any. Neither did they have any appliances for charging cell phones. Unbelievable. The room was clean, but the first room they gave me had no hot water. They have a breakfast in the mornings but not only did they not tell me during check in, they didn't tell me what hours or even that they had breakfast. So I missed out on that. Overall, customer service was not good either. I would say this is definitely not a 4 star hotel as portrayed on their website. The hotel is not in a terrible area but it's on the shabbier side for Cupertino/Sunnyvale. It is sandwiched between orchard inn and another motel, so I would say it's probably slightly better than the two hotels it's sandwiched between, but I would advise not booking this hotel and going for the Juniper Hotel in Cupertino or the Aloft hotel, both of which are miles better.
