The Dough Bros in Galway is an absolute must visit for pizza lovers. Located in the beer garden of O’Connell’s, it has a brilliant, laid back atmosphere that really adds to the experience. Being able to grab beers from the pub and enjoy them alongside the food is a huge bonus and makes it a perfect spot for a relaxed catch up with friends. We arrived at opening time and there was already a queue waiting, which says a lot, and it’s completely deserved. The pizzas were outstanding. I ordered the Stinger and it was incredible, packed with flavour and perfectly balanced. My friends went for the pepperoni, which was equally impressive, with great quality ingredients and just the right amount of heat. The dough itself was light, airy, and cooked perfectly, easily some of the best pizza I’ve had. The whole setup works so well: amazing pizza, great beer from O’Connell’s, and a buzzing atmosphere from the moment they open. It’s no surprise this place is so popular. Worth the wait, worth the hype, and somewhere I’d happily return to again and again.

The limited pizza options made me hesitate, but then I realized you can sort of 'make your own' and I'm so glad we decided to visit. The pizza is excellent and the ingredients seem to all be very high quality. The pepperoni was super tasty and the cheese and crust also exceeded my expectations. It's super busy, even on a weekday in January, so be prepared to wait and, even if there's not a wait to order, your food might take a pretty long while.

Hail Caesar! Enough said truly. This place was outstanding and gave me such a great feeling seeing all of the retro decor from the NES displayed to the old wrestling toys. This place has an incredible atmosphere to go along with amazing pizza. Who would have thought that some of my favorite pizza I have had would be in Ireland.

We visited The Dough Bros in Galway twice on different occasions, and both times the experience was excellent. The food came out quickly, which is always a plus, and the pizzas themselves were consistently great. There’s a large variety to choose from, with some really creative options on the menu that make it stand out from your typical pizzeria. The crust is thin, cooked just right, and the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. What I really liked is that the pizzas are delicious but also quite light—you don’t walk away feeling overly stuffed, just perfectly satisfied. A definite Galway highlight.

The pizza was absolutely delicious. Maybe the best mushrooms I’ve ever tasted. They also had a delicious non alcoholic IPA. Service was quick, was in and out within 30 minutes.

Often really busy, there is a long line up here around dinner time, so go early if you can! Really good pizza, nice wood fired crust and toppings, it has a really good sauce. The hot honey with pepperoni was fantastic, would definitely recommend. There are gluten free options as well if people need it.

Adding a special touch to the experience, I received a complimentary branded postcard, which now serves as a delightful souvenir of my first visit to Galway. Dough Bros is a must-visit for anyone looking for a top-notch pizza experience in Galway. I definetly raccomend!

The pizza here is absolutely delicious, and the service is impressively fast, making for a very enjoyable dining experience. The dough is thin, perfectly cooked, and has a great texture that complements the toppings beautifully. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful. The only downside is that it’s a bit on the expensive side considering the portion size, but overall, it’s a tasty treat worth trying.

I was not expecting to find such quality pizza in Ireland of all places! I am still thinking about our pizza lunch from here, days later. The pizza was delicious! Thin and perfectly melted cheese. We ordered just one pizza to share between the two of us and it was plenty. The servers were friendly and personable. Lots of indoor seating and nice bathrooms.

We came here for the rave reviews. The best in Ireland? Let's go! It was a well run machine. That can't be denied. If the line is too long inside, expect to wait outside until they tell you to come in. You are handed menus outside which is genius and helps you order quicker when you get to the register. You order at the counter. They seat you and bring you everything you ordered. We had the Marg, cheesy garlic bread, bolognese and a gluten free pesto. The bolognese wasn't on the printed menu, but was on the menu inside on the board. The garlic bread was tasty, but a bit of a disappointment to pay 6.50€ for such a small serving. The Marg was really good. The bolognese was good, not great. The gluten free (ordered due to dietary restrictions) was decent. I liked how quick and efficient the operation was being run. The service was friendly and thorough. We'd come back to try other flavors.

What's up: I just got back from a trip out to the Cliffs of Moher and was looking for dinner. A quick search of food and I discovered pizza at the Dough Bros. Transit: I walked here from the Galway City Bus Stop. It's just a bit off of Shop St. Environment: The menu was posted on the outside of the building as well as inside, so you can figure out what to order before you get to the front counter. After placing my order, I was shown to a table. Staff members were friendly and after a short wait, my food was brought to the table. Restrooms are located towards the back of the seating area, on the left of the green Dough Bros sign What was ordered: - Proper Ham And Mushroom (hot and delicious. Very flavorful and not too oily) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. That was a really yummy pizza and with the cold weather, it really hit the spot. Definitely worth a try. Credit cards are accepted.

Food only took 6 minutes to arrive So good nice setting there is music but not to loud. Not the best quality of pepperoni though. Loved the garlic mayo and the rock shandy.

Amazing! One of my friends from Galway recommended this place and so glad we went. One or two roads removed from the touristy street. We ordered 3 pizzas for 4 people and was just about right. The Hail Caesar, Guardiola, and Margharita pizzas all delicious. The Hail Caesar was by far my favorite. Food also came out quickly and the staff super friendly. The pizza crust was thin and slightly charred - just the way I like it! Highly recommend.

We had a lovely pizza here while visiting Galway for the day. The Margherita and we added mushrooms. I had an orange soda my hubs still water, they have cocktails and beer available too, they also offer dipping sauces for your crusts. It's nice brick oven pizza. Great mozzarella. You order up front and then they bring you to a table with your drinks - hot pizza arrives shortly after from the authentic brick oven.

We were exploring Galway and found this truly amazing pizza place. The line went quickly, and even though it was busy, we were seated right after we ordered. The pizzas came out not even 10 minutes later piping hot and full of flavor! Don't sleep on the ranch dip either! Everything was healthy and if we lived closer there I'm positive we would be going to this restaurant every week. It is also nicely decorated with their story and awards all around the wall. 100/10

We found an awesome pizza place!! Dough Bros Pizza already had a line out the door when we got there around 6:30pm and would only be getting longer as the night wore on. They have a super efficient process, so the line went quick and we were able to get a table to enjoy the Pepperoni pizza and cheesey garlic bread. The pizza is wood brick oven style, and a perfect size for 1 person or if you spilt it, then you definitely need a side. I had the chance to also try their McDaid's cola and my husband tried Dough Bros special beer from the White Hag... the whole meal was delicious, and we know good pizza!! August 2023 Overall, we found it very difficult to find a good dessert in Galway (other than ice cream). *Pro tip, most places offering lunch do not open until after 1pm. We're not sure if that was because it was Sunday, but mostly the options are cafes.

I'm honestly shocked by how much I loved Dough Bros. The pizza here is absolutely incredible!! And by far the best pizza I've had in years. We were lucky to get seated without having to wait in line, but I'd totally wait for this pizza (which is saying a lot as a chronic hater of lines). The toppings were fresh, the pizza baked to golden perfection, and the flavors robust.

Cute place! Long wait times though and you cannot order ahead even for takeout, which was a bummer as we ended up waiting around 45 minutes for two pizzas to go. The pizzas were really good and love that they incorporate locally sourced ingredients! Wish they had more non-meat or non-pork options. Would recommend for a quick dinner!

If you are in Galway and want pizza, don't waste your time getting it anywhere else than at Dough Bros! For pizza in Ireland, it is really the best. There always seems to be a line but it moves quickly. When you reach the front, you place your order, they show you to a table, and the food arrives a short time later. It looks like the menu changed a little bit because instead of a pepperoni pie, the pizza my husband got is now called "The Pepp Guardi-Jala" (margherita with pepperoni, candied jalapeños, and parm). He loved it! I had the "Hey Pesto" (pesto, mozzarella, balsamic red onions, goat cheese, and arugula/rocket). Delicious! They have beer but not on tap. My husband had a canned IPA while I had a bottle of delicious MacIvor's Irish cider. We would definitely come back here again!

Located in a stone structure storefront in Galway is The Dough Bros wood-fired pizza. Despite not being in the mood for pizza, a quick search of reviews on both Google and Yelp convinced me to check out why others rave about this place, which I believe has been considered to be the best pizza in Ireland. I understand that lunch is a busy time, especially when all the tour groups visiting western Ireland stop off in Galway, but the line to order food was out the door, and the girl taking orders was very slow and inefficient (sometimes stopping to wander around in the restaurant to chat with others, leaving a line full of people waiting to order). You are only seated after you order, which creates chaos in the waiting area for families, larger groups, and more elderly guests where all you needed is one person on line to give an order. The interiors are tastefully done, but seats at ends of the restaurant in booth format were all like sitting on an uncomfortable wooden bench. We went with an order of garlic bread with cheese and a margherita pizza. The garlic bread was ok in taste and wasn't overly heavy, but the bread it was on (I think Irish soda bread) didn't make for a good base as much as a standard Italian bread. The margherita pizza fell into "just ok" territory as the bread/dough was a weak point in the creation. Cans on tables indicate that they use San Marzano tomato sauce, but the sauce really didn't have the zest a good San Marzano sauce usually has. Similarly, the cheese wasn't anything to write home about. The ingredients were fresh, but just not my thing as it was floppy with some burnt spots on the bottom. I had better pizzas in England and Scotland. There really isn't much wait staff service as nobody is around to wait on you, and we had to flag somebody to get some water, after the initial lady that took us to the table forgot about it. Overall, I'd rate it a 3.5/5 having gone in with low expectations of pizza in Ireland, but happy to round up.

This is clearly the place to be in Galway!! The line was out there door and down the street, but totally worth the wait!! We thoroughly enjoyed our pizza. They also have beer and cocktails. Highly recommend!!

Catching up on Yelp reviews as I visited The Dough Bros back in October. Rated as the best pizza in Ireland, it was extremely good and lived up to the hype! We arrived around 18:00 on a Thursday night. There was a long queue, but it moved so we waited about 15 minutes to order and get seated. You end up waiting in the queue, order at the register, and they give you a table/number. A little bit different, but it was pretty efficient. Ambiance was modern, well lit, and contemporary. We ordered the Bro's Margherita and the Pepperoni Pie. The pizza is Neapolitan style and it had a super soft crust. It was almost perfection and probably would have been if I liked Neapolitan style so it's a 9 instead of a 10. Cheese was good, but it needed some more on the pie. Sauce was also very good too. The pie were loaded with pepperoni and the candied jalapeños were excellent as they had some sugar or honey on them to make it super sweet. Both pies were very good overall! Crust: 9 Cheese: 7 Sauce: 8 Toppings: 9 Overall: 8.25 Overall, I see what the Dough Bros is rated as the best pizza in Ireland. It's not the best pizza that I had, but it was extremely good and definitely worth a stop while in Galway!

The pizza 100% lives up to the hype and reputation and as good as any I've had anywhere else in the world outside of Italy. Caesar salad on a pizza? Yes perfectly executed love child of a salad and a pizza. It packs all the flavor of a Caesar onto a pizza with the soft pillowy and slightly burned crust of a wood oven pizza. The Margherita was great as well but live a little and go for one of the fun flavors instead. We got a side of the hot honey as well but it was mostly honey and no heat. Loved the mcdaid football special soda as well. Think less sweet Coca Cola with lorange notes There will be a wait. Takes awhile to get through the queue and 15 min to get your pizza. Worth the wait though!

SO DELICIOUS!!! Dough Bros lives up to the hype and great reviews. We got the pesto pizza and wished that we could have tried more. They're a perfect size to share or to have your own with some leftovers. The bruschetta is also highly recommended, it tasted so fresh! The aperol spritz was great and they have some nice beer options!

Ok ok their reviews and raves are prompted! Best pizza in Ireland 100%!!! Fast, friendly, and easy service and the wood fire pizza was phenomenal. Must go if you're in the area

The pizza here is absolutely incredible. We first went to Dough Bros shortly after they opened, and returning 8 years later they are just as good. The service was wonderful and accommodating to our large party, and the restaurant was nice and cozy. The location we went to was a little cramped, but no pizza place in Ireland does it better. Highly recommend!

This place ROCKS! If a business has a line out the door on a quiet street, you know it's either a gem or tourist trap. And this place is a local gem!! The staff was kind and the story of the family ownership is on the walls as you wait in line. The menu is large and diverse and everything is made fresh to order. The wait wasn't even that long for us to order or receive our pizzas! My friend tried the cheesy garlic pizza and I went for the carmelized onion, roasted red tomato, feta, pesto pizza. WE ATE EVERY BITE OF BOTH OF OUR PIZZAS!!! So good!! It was less than 20€ for each and if we were able to take leftovers and not just starving tourists visiting for the day, we would have definitely taken some home or come back a second time. Dough Bros knows what's up & they're doing it right!!

Amazing pizza! Don't let the wait outside the door on to the street intimidate you. Worth the wait! We had the Curry Cheese, Legalize Marinara and the Hey Pesto. All three had amazing flavor on top of a crust that melted in your mouth. We expected the cute names to be gimmicky but they lived up to the name!

HOW DID MY PIZZA COME OUT IN 5 MINUTES?! YA'LL CRAZY. And the service was really nice. I don't remember the price, but I don't think it was crazy. -1 star because my table was not wiped when I was seated & there's only two bathrooms that were single use. Would go back!!

As an American traveling through Ireland I didn't expect to find amazing wood fired pizza, but the Dough Bros killed it. Staff is really fast and friendly. Very casual atmosphere. The food came out very quick and as mentioned, tasted excellent. After a day of hiking, this was a great spot to end a cold rainy day in Galway.

It was pretty good. My expectations were too high going in. They were out of everything we ordered and then tried to order so we ended up with not our top 3 choices, but weren't told until 20 minutes after we ordered. Then, We didn't get our garlic bread with cheese until after we ate. That was the highlight of the meal. The garlic bread with cheese and the garlic dip were amazing.

Okay okay okay okay okay. I see you Dough Bros. So I am from New York, my fiancé is from Chicago and we currently live in New Jersey.... Needless to say, we have eaten A LOT of pizza in our time. Dough Bros pies are very competitive.

This is the first pizza place I tried in Ireland, and it did not disappoint!! The pizza topping combos are so creative and it was so hard to choose which pizza to try. I definitely recommend the Banh Mi pizza, which has pork belly, caramelized jalapeños, pickled carrots/radish, and flavorful sauces on top. I've never tried a pizza so tasty and unique! The Bees Knees was also good if you're a fan of hot honey on your pizza. You really can't go wrong with any pizza choice!

I was really excited to try this restaurant when I saw the line outside the entrance. The staff were excellent, I wish I could say the same about the pizza. The pizza was burnt and undercooked at the same time. The toppings were falling off while picking up the pizza slice. My advice to the owner is to find a better way to cook the pizza. Being from Boston, I think this place is very overrated and a little pricey for what it is.

Yummy! If you are craving a pizza this is the place. Washed down with a nice cold beer.

Great pizza in the Dublin area!!! My family went here on a Wednesday night and the line was out the door. We decided to wait and the line moved rather quickly. You order at the register and then are seated, so the process of ordering is a bit different. The Ingredients were fresh and the servers were very friendly. The Irish sodas were also delicious. Pizzas are about personal sizes. Would definitely return again.

The Caesar pizza is so good. The crust is dreamy and I would move to Galway just for Dough Bros. Additionally all of the staff is kind and welcoming. The inside is clean and there is plenty of tables so you can sit and enjoy your pizza.

The pizza is not cooked enough dough was so undercooked that it was watery. Rolled up the slice like a burrito. Also they do not serve salads which I was surprised and annoyed

Awesome pizza in Galway! We took the train from Dublin for the day and had Dough Bros in mind. Located in the middle of the downtown area, easy walk from the train. Friendly staff and excellent food!

This place was recommended to me by my AirBnB host, and it did not disappoint. the wait was typical for an evening and the service was good. My first credit card didn't want to run but they were kind and patient with me while we worked it out. I never order wine with dinner but it seemed very fitting for the meal, and for such a big glass of Cab, 6 euro was worth it. The atmosphere was busy and it was pretty loud but over-all, this was expected. My pizza arrived hot and it was amazing. I'm not someone that likes fire cooked pizza, I like the thicker and more traditional (American) crust pizza, but this... This was a whole other level. Maybe that was the half a glass of wine talking, but I could not stop eating this pizza. But, by the time I had finished I was definitely full. I would recommend 1 pizza per person, but if you're stopping by for a quick lunch, splitting one might be okay. But one was definitely right for me. If I'm ever in Galway again, I would definitely go back.

Saw all the awards and at first thought, perhaps a little remote Ireland overhype? Nope. This place rocks Napolitano-style pizza with amazing fresh ingredients. The only bad review is clearly from someone who doesn't know this style of pizza. The place is busy. We went on a Tuesday night and the line was out the door...BUT...the line moves quickly and don't worry about finding a table, they handle that after you place your order.

This place was amazing! We went early enough that there wasn't a long line. They were super helpful and willing to wait while we chose our pizza. We wished we had come back here when instead of a different restaurant for our last dinner in town. This might sound dumb or silly to some people but I am super appreciative they have ranch.
