Amazing beautiful cozy hotel. Lots of class, beautiful designed antique style. The staff is so friendly and attentive to the guests. Deliciuos breakfats and if we order Pyial can cook delicious dinner too. Highly recommended.

Very authentic house in colonial style is run by a lovely Buddhist family. Carved wood and old pieces of art all around as well as the garden. I can get out from my balcony climbing down a huge mango tree. 4 rooms only, so book in advance. queit and close to everywhere. Breakfast included and you can also order lunch or dinner. The owner Piyal is a great cook, the fish he made was the best i tried on Lanka.

We had a lovely time with Piyal and his family. The house is just stunning, so different to other accommodation we had stayed in. We decided to extend our stay as soon as we got there. Breakfast and dinner-amazing! We loved the location, hospitality, and the rooms with the private balcony overlooking the garden. It was really like waking up in another world. We wished we could have stayed longer. All the best to The Dream House, and we hope that you decide to stay there and enjoy it as much as we did.

Unawatuna is a terrible kind os russian enclave, but this place has it's own charme. Beautiful interior and exterior design which is very rear in Sri Lanka, especially in this price range. Located on walking distance to the the beach, but not on the main road so it's remote amd quiet. We loved every minute we spent here.

The Dream House is an enchanting and idyllic place. I stayed there for one night and fell in love instantly. It is lovingly furnished, very calm though close to the beach. I can definitely recommend to spend some time there with this warm and welcoming family.

We had a very pleasant stay at The Dream House. It is perfectly located next to unawatuna's beach, and the fact that it's not directly on the main road makes it very quiet. The room was small but cosy, with a great bathroom and nice little balcony. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, we have even been offered to take a shower before leaving for our train, although we already checked out our room in the morning.||The house entrance and corridors would benefit from being redecorated though.

We booked Dream House spontaneously in the internet in advance and didnt have any idea what'd expect us. First time Sri Lanka as 5 girls group. Double room and Threebed room very clean and nice furniture. Each room with own bathroom, which had really modern design and spacious shower even though the water pressure was low. Mosquitonet covered each bed and airconditioning saved us through the night:) The hotelservice was friendly , helpful and served us more than enough and always with a smile at breakfast time (bread,jam,coffee,tea, eggs in different styles and lots of exotic fruits)...youll never be hungry in dream house ;) so all together it was a remarkable and affordable (good and cheap prices) stay for us in Unawatuna Dream House right next to the common beach and also jungle beach (a bit hidden to touristy area). We would always come back !

Such a beautiful gem hidden just a bit from the beach away. A stunning colonial house set in a tropical garden with squirrels and humming birds and a super friendly owner. Such a shame I couldn't stay longer but definitely one of the better places in Unawatuna. Also there is free Wifi and a big yummy breakfast served as well.
