We only ate at the restaurant (did not stay at the hotel) but google isn’t letting me narrow down to the restaurant. Great vegetarian options- can sub in either of two veg options for burgers, plus pizza and pasta options. Fancy food but casual quirky atmosphere. Service was really friendly. The fries were really good. Cost was about $20-30/person. If you are vegetarian, I’d advise requesting the outdoor (ish) patio area (has a roof and movable walls). The smell of fish in the main restaurant was very strong.

We really enjoyed our breakfast! The service was super friendly and accommodating. They were very transparent about a 20% gratuity automatically being included in the bill for wait and cook staff—which was appreciated and well deserved. The food was excellent—great flavor and quality and variety portions were large. Highly recommend!!

Google
We didn't stay here but kept coming back to the restaurant - small but very cozy, and the mushroom crepes are the best. Steak, fried halibut and seafood lasagna were all really good too. Very friendly staff and having live music is also a nice touch. They tell you about the 20% gratuity before you even order, so that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. I'd pass on the coffee in the evening though - it's super strong.

We stopped in Yachats for lunch at the Drift Inn. There was ample parking in back of the restaurant. When we arrived, we were welcomed by a smiling young lady, who took us to our table and made sure we had water on that very warm day. Our waiter, Michael, was warm and courteous , inviting us to look at the menu with the many mouth watering items, including gluten free biscuits!!! We chose the gluten free battered halibut and a salmon salad. Later we enjoyed a vanilla latte and shared the creme Brulle. Absolutely the best place to eat and relax after a long drive. Can't wait to return to the friendliest and relaxing restaurant with exceptional service and the biggest heart warming smiles!

Google
We recently stayed in the hotel above the restaurant.it was nice. Had a smell but you figure that with the ocean humidity. Charming room. I am giving the restaurant 3 star because of the convenience of location, variety and gluten free options. We ate here 4 meals in a row. Dinner, breakfast, dinner and breakfast all because of the gluten free convenience. One meal the printer supposedly ate our receipt and we had to wait over an hour. 3 times we asked for gluten free peach pie and they had supposedly just ran out. We ordered their famous biscuits and gravy and supposedly they had just ran out. Waiter was annoyed about a salad mix up and scolded us for asking. Of the 4 servers we had 2 were helpful. Super annoying that they add on mandatory 20 gratuity.

We had breakfast here on a Sunday morning. The place was pretty busy. The heartland scramble had watery gravy, undercooked potatoes and dry bacon. The chicken fried steak was dry but I liked the home fries (diced potatoes) and scrambled eggs. Service was friendly but they did not tell us that gratuity is included so we essentially double tipped them. That was frustrating. I overheard a waiter telling another couple that gratuity is included as we left. We didn't stay at the hotel so can't speak as to the accommodations. Unfortunately, breakfast was just slightly disappointing.

I loved everything about my time at The Drift Inn. Stayed in the Pedal Out Blue Room. It faces the 101 and sidewalk, and while at first I thought that was going to be a pain, it ended up being fantastic -- I heard the most hilarious snippets of conversation of people passing by not 18 inches from me, but who somehow couldn't see me through the window. Plus having an ocean view and ocean breeze was amazing. The room was just right for me, and the kitchenette was a great touch. There's a microwave, toaster, fridge, kettle, tea, and pour over setup for coffee. There's also a washer and dryer. The outside lounge area is really pleasant. Communication with the property managers was easy and ample; self check-in was simple and I appreciated the keypad lock rather than having a key. I also ate at the restaurant, pizza, delicious. I got the feeling that it's more a regulars spot than the popular place across the street. Would stay here again in a minute.

Google
This place is superb. I dined several times at the Drift Inn during my stay in Yachats and was pleasantly surprised. This place is full of creativity and outstanding service, all of the wait staff are very friendly. A few of the dishes are absolutely amazing, while a select few seemed they were lacking in some flavor, some of the ethnic dishes. The salmon, salads and chicken fried steak were the best I’ve Had! 5 stars overall 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Yelp
If in Yachats this is one of my favorite places to go. The vibe is the best in town, an rustic old building with Mermaids/Mermen as a theme. The food is always good - I have a crustacean allergy and they can always work around this when I order. The staff are attentive and helpful as well. The bar is particularly nice and friendly. Always strike up nice conversations when I sit there - so if the place is busy bellowing up to the bar for a cocktail and lunch or dinner is a great experience as well.

Yelp
Bottom Line Up Front: I have been here multiple times, and their food is really good. But, they know it is good, and there is limited competition on that area of Oregon Coast so they get away with borderline Customer Service that wouldn't fly in other geographic areas. I loved the menu and the food choices. Not typical fish & chips only- or clam chowder American Food. I ordered the Persian Fusion Rice Bowl! And, it was executed really well, I highly recommend that dish! ANd, everyone else in my party loved their entrees as well. Their beer on tap is a hit, obviously can't go wrong with that! Previously, my husband and I ordered take-away and got a Pizza to pick up from their pizza window. THat one was easy and straight forward, no hurt pride, just delicious pizza in our mouths! Overall, the food is great, the vibe is pretty good for a town of that size. BUt, not a show-stopped that you "Must go" when visiting Yachats. And, I would love to see them communicate with their clients a tad bit better, mainly -- considering the Call-ahead option of even just being able to put your name on the list like 15 minutes early as you were driving over the restaurant would go along way. Or, I understand it is hard to predict how busy the pub will be on a Saturday night, but some clue that it would be an hour wait, or it *COULD* be an hour wait would have been appreciated, hey we probably would have made arrangements to be there at 5pm or earlier if we had known.

Yelp
We stopped in recently for lunch and it was ok , but not spectacular ... Not long of a wait to get in , but the workers were fairly slow on their service. The food was ok , but the Flies circling around our table was disappointing at best ... Turns out the pre ad a 20% gratuity to your bill , which was whack in our minds ! Normally a tip would reflect on their professionalism, the food, the atmosphere, etc. Not already added into the price ! So $75 for lunch for the 2 of us was pretty steep for the service and food we had. We realize it's the coast as we live elsewhere on the coast where there are alot of mediocre restaurants around. There are some really good ones too , but ya have to weed through the lame ones to find them and yes I know to check reviews first but they can be not necessarily truthful ! Hope I didn't let the cat out of the bag on that one , but you know what I mean... Anyway , one time and done there ... We should have gone to the Blue Whale ...

Yelp
We stumbled in here for breakfast after tide pooling and were so impressed we came back for dinner the same day. Loved the decor, the food tasted like it was all made with love and housemade, and the service was beyond. Love that they threw the gratuity right in the bill. If you are staying in the Oregon coast, this is a MUST. They have live music every night too. THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL PLACE.

Yelp
When we stay in Yachats we almost always have dinner here with our friends and look forward to their seafood options

Yelp
Great food great service. I have never been to a restaurant with just two of us where they add a 20% tip automatically. And then ask if you want to leave an additional tip. I would have left at least 20%. But I think a tip should always be optional and on service and quality!!!

Yelp
Always stop in for at least one meal here when chilling in Yachats - today was the first time tackling brunch. My oh my, they do it right - especially for my gluten-free dairy-free needs. We got there around 11am or so on a Saturday and it was surprisingly quiet. Started with super tasty bloody marias - love the pickled green beans. I decided to mash up a couple things from the menu and got their delicious GF crab cakes and the potato and veggie stir fry - perfect combo for me. My hubby got the eggs benedict with dungeness crab - very tasty. And for dessert, because who doesn't have room after all that food ;) we enjoyed dirty chais with oat milk and I had a yummy GF Vegan peach pie with vegan whip and my hubby had their famous marionberry cobbler. STUFFED! Always appreciate the cloth napkins and paper straws. Nice to relax, hang out and listen to the live music, picked up a cute mug in their gift shop. Street parking out front, bathrooms in the back.

Yelp
Wonderful unique dining experience! The colorful cotton napkin was an early cue that something special was going on here. From the artistic, funky ambience to the professional servers - thanks Ian - we had the meal of our central Oregon coast trip here. The food was amazing, but it was so much more than that. Welcoming, and seems to attract a broad array of people (real Oregon hippies, gay folk, and others) that you don't necessarily see in other local establishments catering to travelers. Comfortable and warm with lots of wood (I love a cosy booth) and the coolest patio around. See the review here by Cody HD if you want to get the full feel/history of The Drift Inn.

Yelp
Good food no weight nice ambience lots of options for dietary restrictions - win win. Cute gift shop just to the side of it really cool sink in the bathroom. Hunky people illustrations on the walls. Looks like they have bands as well. The window is between the booth was especially a nice touch.

Yelp
Automatic 20% added to your bill no mater the size of your party. They only spring on you when you get your bill, no previous warning is provided. Service is slow with no emphasis on bussing tables. The preferred window side tables were a mess but open and the place wasn't that busy. We had to sit near the back of the place. They say it is an automatic gratuity but it cannot be called a gratuity if it is taken by the establishment and not given by the customer. Totally wrong use of the word. It should be called a penalty for eating there. This alone will keep me from ever going there again. All that being said the food was good, they had a nice selection of local beers on tap and the drinks from the bar were good. The vibe was nice and old school beach casual.

Gynene L.

Yelp
We loved this place! Just picked off the reviews, and it definitely did not disappoint!! We had Michael as our server, very friendly and attentive. We were there for dinner, and when we arrived, it wasn't too busy. Love the decor, umbrellas adorn the ceilings, all so colorful!! We ordered cheeseburgers, with fries, homemade buns, and the hamburgers seemed hand pressed too, very flavorful, with some seasoning, fresh condiments. My husband had a delicious bloody mary. Michael told us about a little drive up the Yachats river we could take the next day...which we did. We saw a herd of elk, and also found the covered bridge he mentioned. The next morning, after our drive, we stopped again for breakfast!! The wonderful lady that was bartending the night before, was generous portions, of ham, eggs, potatoes, and a big homemade biscuit for my husband. I had a equally wonderful omelet, stuffed with ham and cheese, homemade bread, with fresh jam, and potatoes. Held us over the entire day!! The staff is so friendly, and we came home, looking forward to visiting there again!!

Yelp
I've just moved into this area for the summer. I've friends living here. They selected the Drift Inn to celebrate! This was my first but not last visit. It has a really nice atmosphere and decor. The staff is very attentive and professional. My friends split a pizza and i ordered the seafood lasagna. Although I didn't taste the pizza my friends loved it. I devoured my lasagna, every bit. It was excellent. The music was a combination of old south and coastal enlightenment. Nice !

Yelp
The bar here is great. Great staff, good drinks, tasty food, friendly locals. This place is a gem.
google avatar

Yelp
The service was great, so that's not an issue; what was an issue was the flies, so many flies. The outside seating was opened to the dining room and that meant those of us eating inside couldn't take a bite without several flies in our face and on our food. The food that was ordered was pretty decent, with a few exceptions- side salads had bad cucumber. Mushy and obviously frozen at one point. The BBQ chicken pizza could have been great if there wasn't so much blue cheese. I should have taken a photo to show how heavy handed the cook was. It was smothered in blue cheese, it was all you could see and taste. The automatic gratuity was a bit much on top of the restaurant fee. I get it, it's so the staff doesn't get stiffed but it's a bit much

Yelp
The food is good. Reasonable price with big portion. Interesting story of the place. I really liked my Caribbean cache, so many different varieties of seafood in it! I had to take a bug box to go and had another 2 meals. The mom's potpie was delicious, tasted like cottage food in an old town. Home feeling flavor. The pizza was just ok. Would like to come back and try other things too!

Yelp
Very cute beach town brunch place. The waitress has such a casual personality; it's very easy to talk to her. Food is delicious, and the restaurant gives shipwreck, hippie vibes. I enjoyed my experience here!

Yelp
Another wonderful Stay including delicious Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner @ The Drift Inn & Cafe in Yachats, OR. !! We had the great pleasure of staying and eating at The Drift Inn for a couple days to enjoy the warmest days of the year so far! The service was top notch throughout our experience here. We were served in their Cafe by a different staff member every single time, and each one was great! The right people, fresh ingredients, and homemade recipes made each meal wonderful and delicious. Our room, Most Charming, was ready for us ahead of time, comfortable & clean, and had The Best View! I appreciated the self check in accommodations, along with clear and continuous communication through a designated text number. The bed was comfy cozy with linens, the bathroom had beautiful tile work, the kitchen appliances were convenient, and the entertainment section included books, games, and Roku tv. I look forward to my next visit to Yachats and The Drift Inn!!

Yelp
Great service and good food for Thanksgiving. Turkey was nice & I appreciate all the different sides as sides are very important to me. Staff very friendly.
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
Lively atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. They automatically add 20% tip to your bill, fyi. The halibut with crab, the fish and chips and friend razor clams were excellent. All came with a salad and choice of starch, either rice, fries, baked potato or polenta.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
We stopped by Drift Inn for a casual dinner and were super impressed. It was a busy night and though we needed to wait half an hour for our table the friendly and energetic staff made the wait fun. Then we enjoyed a fantastic wood fired pizza and fine Caesar salad. Our waiter though very busy was amazing. We cheered him with ice cold Pilsner he served us. An inexpensive Five Star evening.

Yelp
Okay, first things first we stayed at this Airbnb for the night which I 100% recommend. The rooms are cute, cozy, have fun themes (we chose the safari room) and right above the restaurant which is extremely convenient. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and although we preferred breakfast, we enjoyed both. For dinner, the wait was almost an hour for a table (which was fine since we had our room to wait in) and we sat on the super cute back patio in the table with the swinging chairs - my request, which they easily granted. Sitting at that table automatically made this an unforgettable dining experience for me. The food for dinner was good, not outstanding. I had the seafood lasagna and while it was flavorful and a good portion size, the seafood weirdly didn't taste fresh to me? Which seems wild this close to the ocean but that's what I thought. The crusty Italian bread that came with it, which is apparently made in house, was definitely the star of the meal. I got some with breakfast too and we bought a loaf for the road. SO good! For breakfast the star is the cinnamon roll. Gigantic, delicious fluffy icing. I also got some eggs, bacon (super thick slices), and my husband got biscuits and gravy. No complaints, everything was great. We'll definitely stop here again if we have future visits down the coast and will encourage others to make the stop in Yachats as well. A unique and memorable little place to stay and to dine!
google avatar

Yelp
Place was awesome. Would definitely come back if I am in the area. Went with a big family group. Waitress was super pleasant and helpful. Fish and chips and the butternut ravioli were huge hits. Amazing looking fish and chips. I had the razor clams and they were great, but had regret when I saw the fish. Great food and great drinks!
google avatar

Lori P.

Yelp
Servers ares are forced to add their tips in when you receive your bill. What is the purpose of doing your best job. We also give 20% most of the time. Not when they don't deserve it. I'm sure the house takes some. We haven't been back.
google avatar

Misty P.

Yelp
The ambiance of this place stays with you well after the vacation is over! We initially came because of the huge variety of GF offerings, but the service is good, and the food is tasty! Next time we may try the services at the Inn instead of staying in the next town.

Constant C.

Yelp
The food was pretty good so we went back for more the next day. Service was hit and miss and we waited quite a while to get our check. The booths are cozy if not particularly clean. There is a sliver of a view of the ocean if it's not blocked by a vehicle. Prices were too high so I wouldn't be eating here every day if I lived here.

Brittany S.

Yelp
Great service, ambiance, and gluten free pizza! We were there on a busy Saturday night and ate at the bar.
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
This is a great local restaurant. Ate here for breakfast and dinner while in Yachts. The menu has a great variety. Everyone loved the dishes they chose. We were there when the musicians started. The volume was good. Not too loud and the song selection seemed appropriate for the atmosphere of the restaurant. The service was excellent. It is a little awkward that a tip is automatically included, and divided across the entire restaurant staff ... I guess that is one way to deal with the inequities of the American tipping system. It makes sense once you think about it.

Yelp
Ug really enjoy this cave. The folk and food are above expectations. Ug mate and he celebrate 15 sun rotations. We return after a moon cycle and try new things to go and just as spectacular as dine in. Crab cakes are a must have and so is house seafood soup with rice. If coast exploring and cold and wet. You will be refreshed before the next journey. (Seriously though, good live music and amazing food. Try it at least once and I will be surprised if you're not happy after the experience)

Mike S.

Yelp
We have been camping in the Florence area for 10 days and have eaten here 4 times. This is by far the best place to have a meal. Music every night during dinner s must do if visiting Yachats. Great food and great service.
google avatar

Taylor M.

Yelp
Cocktails, pizza, and wings is the play here. Cute outdoor patio and friendly staff. They have a huge menu, so I can't speak for everything, but the seafood entrees looked like an afterthought.
google avatar

Kyle Y.

Yelp
I ordered a ribeye for 38$. It came out cold, with a searless, clammy, grey exterior and a brown sauce that tasted chemical and reminded me of the powdered packet mixes from the dollar aisle. I scraped off the sauce and wiped it down with a napkin. It was still difficult to put in my mouth. I only saw the waitress four times all evening. They add 20% gratuity automatically, which I definitey would not have provided given the choice. I tried the chicken strips, and they were quite good. So maybe just stick to the kids menu here.
google avatar

Dan R.

Yelp
Maybe it was just our mood, but the atmosphere of this place was so comforting and homey. Liked using old windows as part of the dividers between booths. Add a really talented woman providing live music. very very good service. Melba doesn't often order fish and rally enjoyed her salmon. I came here wanting the razor clams, but they were out. The seafood lasagna was a great-fill in, light on the pasta, heavy on the bechamel and cheese, And it's rare to have a salad with what i consider enough dressing, but this did.

P. M.

Yelp
Love everything I have had at Drift Inn. Seafood pasta and seafood pizza were amazing.
google avatar

Jo A.

Yelp
The cutest little restaurant, such a beautiful property. Lots of decor and interesting things to look at. Very busy place. Food was good, price was steep but most places like this are. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked and crispy. Burger was massive, with fresh avocado and lettuce. My only complaint is how long it took. We had reservations so we were seated quickly, but it took a long time for anyone to come and take our orders, and a long time for our food. Waitress only asked about drinks once and we all could have used some more water or refills.
google avatar

Wil P.

Yelp
Expensive, overrated and problematic. Beware the automatic 20 percent "gratuity." I can't imagine a restaurant in Eugene or Portland surviving the way this place operates. The service is poor. Yesterday we waited at least 15 or 20 minutes to pay the check. Then they pointed out the 20 percent "gratuity." But it's not a "gratuity." gratuity /gr-too′ĭ-tē, -tyoo′-/ noun 1. A favor or gift, usually in the form of money, given in return for service. 2. Something given freely or without recompense; a free gift; a present. Similar: present 3. Something *voluntarily* given in return for a favor or service, as a recompense or acknowledgment It's a ripoff. I almost always give a 20 percent tip. At our meal yesterday I would have given 18 percent because we sat there waiting and waiting when we needed to go. Our meal of two sandwiches, a salmon entree, and one soda cost more than $100. The last time before yesterday I was at the Drift Inn we waited -- it seems hard to believe -- almost one full hour for our food. At one point the waitress took my friend's beer before he finished it while we were waiting for the food. And then she took his food before he finished it! We laughed. It was surreal. We will try the competition next time. Good riddance.
google avatar

Lisanne D.

Yelp
OMG... Have the Boccone Dolce! Hands down my favorite dessert ever! The food is great, the service is very good. My only complaint is that a MANDATORY 20% tip is added to every ticket, whether it was deserved or not. It's REQUIRED, which is a huge turn-off to me. I'm a great tipper. Being a former server, I appreciate good service and I make sure it's well rewarded. But... if you force me to tip, you're getting EXACTLY that and no more. Even the servers were apologetic about it, which tells me that they don't love it either. Fix this. It's not necessary and frankly, it stinks. You're not doing your staff any favors. Tips are EARNED. They're an incentive to do your best. Happy customers = bigger, better tips. That said, the wood fired pizza was excellent and the nightly live music was fun. In spite of the tip policy, I'm sure we'll go back for the food...and especially for that delectable dessert!

Yelp
What a fantastic restaurant in the heart of Yachats OR. Lunch outside on a covered courtyard. All the tables were very unusual, mine had a Koi Pond underneath. Beautiful garden to gaze at. Food was delicious. We had the Chicken Pot Pie and Halibut Fish&Chips. Pot pie had a small side salad with your choice of dressing. We had the Berry Vinaigrette. Pot pie was served piping hot so eat the salad while you wait for it to cool. Generous portion of Halibut Fish pieces. Check out the Mercantile store next door on your way in or out. You won't be disappointed by either The Drift Inn or Mercantile.

Yelp
Great setting in a historic building. Friendly and attentive service. Perfectly fried and fresh fish and chips. I would definitely return just for that. The grilled Caesar salad was really delicious as well.
google avatar

Rochelle V.

Yelp
Busy place, waited 30 minutes on a Wednesday to be seated. We had two green salads and split a hawaiin pizza. The salads were basic. The pizza was really good and we will back for that again on future trips.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
My wife and I had the pleasure of dining here on a crisp September night. The warm cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home the moment we walked in. There was a lovely gentleman playing guitar and singing, and after a brief wait, we took our seats at a beautiful wood slab table on their patio. Our server and the other wait staff were courteous, attentive and charming. The food came fast and warm. My wife and I split a perfectly cooked and seasoned halibut with crab on top (super yummy!) and a salad (I forgot which one) that was equally as good. And finally, a delicious peach pie with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream on top *chef's kiss* (They were sold out of the marionberry crumble which sounded awesome.) I'd would definitely recommend this A+ restaurant and we'll certainly be back again next time we are in town.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! In Yachats for work and stopped in after a long day outside. Ordered the steamed clams, chicken Alfredo, and a glass of wine. The ambiance is perfect, the service was great, and the food was delicious. Defiantly a must-go establishment when visiting Yachats!
google avatar

Lynnann W.

Yelp
Just delightful! You'd never know the exceptional welcoming decor waiting for you from looking at the exterior? The entrance opens to a bar/tables or ... walk down a thin hallway (immersed with local gifts for sale), make a left and walk into an atrium haven complete with a live koi pond. It's just unbelievably so unique. The tables are incredible pieces of preserved wood, there is an outdoor garden that's exquisite, no detail was missed. This place is an absolute treasure for ambiance! Thereafter, the service was top notch, epic local color. We ordered crepes with crab (huge hit), chili relleno with prawns (we always ask for extra spice but be warned we couldn't even eat it) and a delectable homemade chicken pot pie. If we lived here we'd be regulars!
google avatar

K S.

Yelp
Pretty darn good. The staff is kind and service is good. They have a pretty wide variety of foods. My family member chose some vegetarian options while I went a different route. We ate here a few times since it is our favorite spot in Yachats for lunch and dinner.

Allie C.

Yelp
Table top sticky; Ketchup bottle goey; Unappealing water served in tin cup. Went for afternoon bite- ordering just 2 portions ( no appetizer, drinks or dessert) and paid $50 for small portions. On a positive note: Wait staff pleasant and attentive. Soup of the day excellent. Would consider future takeout, but will pass as a 20% gratuity is added.
google avatar

Trish B.

Yelp
You will be so glad I am sending you here. This landmark inn's restaurant has attentive servers who are friendly and prompt. The homemade food is tasty and plentiful.
google avatar

Inga K.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem in the lovely Yachats town! They have delicious food for various dietary needs without compromising the taste! Have been here many times and it's always 100% delicious!
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
Good Evening. Yelpies, Welcome to a place where service is number 1 and they will remind you when you get the check as they add a 20% gratuity automatically without letting you know before you order. The food wasn't that bad and like I said the service is on point from beginning to end. I ordered crepes and my wife ordered a Thai dish. The crepes were ok and the Thai dish was unfortunately cooked all the way. The wife was very disappointed and vowed to never order an Asian dish at an American restaurant again as they always miss a step on the simplest of dishes. (Noodles just had to be soaked in hot water a bit longer as they are fresh out of the bag) Cheers everyone DMK

Yelp
Fabulous food, superb cocktails, friendly service. We don't bother going anywhere else. Favorite dishs: Persian Fushion Bowl with Halibut, bread pudding and any cocktail! Also tons of Gluten Free options.

Yelp
Always great food and service. We had the Halibut Fish and Chips and Crab Ravioli! Yum! Halibut is easily overcooked and our fish was perfect! Loved the ravioli! Great sauce! Enjoyed the music! The singer sounded a lot like James Taylor! Enjoyable evening!
