I love a good country pub and this is definitely one. Polite and friendly staff. The prices were OK for a very captive audience not able to go elsewhere. Very dog 🐕 friendly with a cool little dog bar 🍻. Very nice to see a compendium of pub games to play too and to top it off a lovely open fire. We didn't get to eat any food but what we could see looked very good.

Beautiful place, loved the inside interior and was lovely done up for Christmas. We were sat in the restaurant near the fire which was lovely. The staff were all friendly and attentive. We had the festive menu, me and my husband both had the pate for starters which was lovely, I then had the steak and venison pie with veg and mash, absolutely stunning and my husband had the pork which was also amazing. We both had the apple and mince pie crumble for dessert, wow it was gorgeous. The best meal out we have had out in years. We will definitely be returning the next time we stay in Devon.

Visited here today whilst on holiday with friends, and had the most excellent and delicious meals. Service was with a smile and very prompt. Just the right gap between courses. Very dog friendly, our dogs were well catered for with treats and water. Highly recommended

Visited today for Sunday roast, service was absolutely amazing. The pub is lovely and clean, great menu choice for a Sunday, not just roasts available. The warm scotch egg was delicous, The trio of meats was lovely, the only criticism was the roast potato's were incredibly tough to cut and so was the pork belly that was not part of the trio of meats, the Cauliflower cheese was quite hard too but very tasty. The mini pudding was amazing as well, the crumble was lovely and hot and the honeycombe bomb was heavenly! Will definitely visit again!

We both had very grisly steaks which we could only eat half of them and had to complain. The chef made a tasty sauce and chips but the meat supplier let him down. Gavin our waiter kindly gave us free desserts so we had a good outcome. Service was excellent

The Drum inn was a very quaint place set in an oldy worldy village. It was stepping back in time. A really nice experience. The beef brisket sandwich was tasty

Yelp
Tucked away in a tiny village is thus Amazing inn with quaint ambiance and decor, decorated for the holidays, dogs allowed ! Super friendly staff and attentive. We all got the Sunday roast beef with the trimmings and it was so worth it . Only thing I would change are the roast potatoes they just were not quite " British style" gravy and Yorkshire pudding and meat and other veggies were great . Soon they will be all lit up for Christmas .

Yelp
Went here twice in the summer of 2018. Once for lunch and once for the Sunday roast. This is quite a large pub, with a large terrace in a beautiful location. The food is better than at an average pub but also a bit more expensive. Think for lunch at prices of around £ 9 to £ 16 for a meal. There are 2 and 3 course menu options which are a good deal (at around £14 for 2 courses). Sunday roast is fairly priced at around £12 to £14 depending on your choice of meats. Also one of the few places where there is actually a choice of vegan & glutenfree products. A word of caution for people with a non-UK bank card: don't use the "open tab" system: this will cause trouble with your bank & payments.

Yelp
Ruined my parents wedding function. Used dirty creased up table cloths. Served food on filthy dirty crockery. Messed up buffet menu. Poorly trained bar staff. Dirty dining area. 2 weeks later and after much communication between my parents and the management, nothing has been done to resolve the issue. Vouchers have been offered to go back to dine in same place that ruined their special day. Cant see them ever wanting to go back. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE FOR AN EVENT OF ANY KIND

Yelp
Love this place so much, great selection of food that tastes excellent. Awesome variety of cask ales and other local favorites. Tons of comfy seating indoors and out, large front lawn with lots of dogs running around. Best pub in Torquay!
