22 Free (Or Cheap) Things to Do in Reykjavik in 2025

"I usually find live music at the Drunk Rabbit Irish Pub — it typically has someone singing solo with a guitar, offering a cozy, informal night out." - Matthew Kepnes

Greet beers, great service, great atmosphere, just a freakin fantastic pub. The cozy little pub is located right in the downtown. They have limited outside seating til 10pm and indoor seating across 2 floors til 2am. This place gets pretty packed pretty quickly. The live music here is fabulous! Was so impressed with the duo: wide variety of classics and alternative rock. They were truly exceptional musicians and just as friendly as could be. Staff and security were professional, kind and on top of passing out drinks to a thirsty crowd. Great night out.

The Drunk Rabbit is a typical Irish pub in central Reykjavík, with a lively atmosphere and a casual setting. The interior is cozy and familiar, especially for those looking for a classic pub vibe. The beer selection is decent, with Guinness being a popular choice, while the food menu is fairly standard and does not particularly stand out. Service is friendly but can be a bit inconsistent during busy hours. Prices are high, as expected in Iceland, and overall the experience is pleasant without being exceptional—fine for a relaxed drink or a quick stop while exploring the city.

They don't do food. But if you are looking for an Irish pub this is the one to go too. It is in a good location close to things.

I visited here over the holidays and this place was close to my hotel so I decided to check it out for happy hour. I got the mulled wine and it was good. Cool decor and atmosphere but I found the bartender to be a bit rude so I had one drink and left.

Really affordable drinks for Iceland standards even outside happy hour. The live band was lovely and fun too. We sat by the bar and the bartenders were equally fantastic. This is a must visit experience in Reykjavik!

Exceptional Irish pub. Would highly recommend. Starting with the absolute creamers of Guiness, to the cozy pub feel and friendly bar tenders, to the exceptional music that brought in a crowd. This place was one we stopped in for a pint, but ended up staying for four.

Went in to warm up with a nice Irish coffee, good crowd but worst bartender! He was so rude it was disturbing. He also switched the Irish music to American classic rock. The inside what was what you would expect and did not disappoint- the only positive thing. What a disgrace to an Irish pub at least get an Irish bartender that makes you laugh not an angry American

A busy pub with loud tourist guys letting off steam. A high tempo pub that would rock on during the night with probably a boxing match later in the night. Not family friendly I dont think...but its up to you. Had my beer and left. Maybe its a good bar once you take out that crowd of loud guys?
