This was our final stop after a tour around the Scottish highlands and Outer Hebrides. It was the most expensive stay so our expectations were high.|On arrival, the bar was busy but we soon got our room keys and made our way to the Conic Suite. Initial impression was good. The room was clean and spacious.|However, the blind on the velux window was broken and took time and patience to wedge it shut. The television did not work. The staff, although friendly and courteous were too busy to help. We managed the blind and retuned the television ourselves (although we could only get BBC programmes).|Dinner in the bar was very nice and breakfast was good, but nothing exceptional.|After our first night's stay, the room was not refreshed. Having the bed remade is not an issue, but we did not expect having to ask for more teabags, milk and, embarrassingly, toilet paper. Clean mugs would have been appreciated.|For the pricetag, we would have expected toiletries other than a dispenser of generic soap in the shower.|All in all, an expensive and disappointing stay. 2 stars given instead of 1 because the bed was comfortable, the staff were pleasant (although busy) and the location is good. Could do better!
