"The Duncairn arts center has occupied a disused Victorian church since 2014. Situated in the traditionally working-class northern part of the city, its mission is to strengthen ties within the local community by providing a shared artistic and cultural hub. In particular, it offers classes, workshops, and affordable performances for disadvantaged residents. This is significant, as North Belfast has also historically been mixed in terms of Catholics and Protestants. Its centerpiece is a cavernous concert venue in the old chapel which plays host to both up-and-coming and established artists. Periodically, the Duncairn also holds exhibitions of local visual artists." - MATADOR_NETWORK

Excellent Arts Centre, its interior creatively designed within a large, decommissioned, old Church building. The music event was curated by Beyond Skin, sharing Music and Movement from Afghanistan and other cultures... some folk, sadly, having to live away from their country, 'asylum seekers'... the event touching both Mind and Soul... 🌏👥️🎶

Converted church with upper loft level auditorium. Fantastic acoustics and great atmosphere, recommended for any live performances.

Hidden gem!! Worth seeking out not far from the city centre! Just half a mile up the Antrim Road from Carlisle Circus.
Freshly made food & coffee emphasis on taste and healthy offerings but also great scones too!!
Loved everything I've tried, varied menu with daily specials. A friendly & helpful couple running things in the kitchen and front of house.

Just attended it yesterday for the MFNI festival. My daughter had her music performance 2 years in a row here, and one of my friends works here, so I am going to give 5* to this place.

Yelp
Great space used for lots of activities. It's a community space that groups meet in for various activities; play group, arts classes etc.
They have a brochure of workshops.
Different size spaces that you can hire out.
There is also a play group located here.
There's a coffee shop too.

Yelp
The Duncairn centre is a beautiful centre filled with some amazing pieces of art and even a resident artist and sculptor . A warm and relaxing cafe is the perfect place for a coffee and lunch. At night the gigs have some of the best traditional Irish bands you could see, all in a great atmosphere and a better crowd of people.
On top of that there are classes including Irish language and photography.
The must see thing in North Belfast.
