"From a members-only beach club in the 1960s, The Dunmore has evolved into a 16-room boutique stay whose spirit and decor evoke that era. Local interior designer Amanda Lindroth oversaw a major renovation when the hotel’s current owners bought the property in 2010. Wicker and rattan furniture, patterned prints, and spaces that are as much outdoors as indoors create a look that is somewhere between late British colonial and timeless Bahamian. We stayed at the dunmore in April and it could not have been more amazing! Everything from the rooms, to the food, to the amazing staff at the hotel was top notch! Everyone on harbour island was welcoming and so friendly. We can’t wait to come back!

Location was absolutely stunning. The beaches are incredible and so is the pool, but the staff are extremely rude and not welcoming whatsoever.

The Dunmore is a very nice hotel comprised of cottage rooms, scattered throughout a lovely, Oceanside property. For what it is, it is very expensive and staff were not as welcoming or friendly as I expected. The staff are also not very prompt or attentive in terms of customer service and you have to very much be on Bahamian time, which is slow and even slower than a lot of other Latin and European countries, in my opinion. The food on property was quite yummy. There is free coffee and pastries at the bar in the morning. There was no service to be had at the pool or the beach when I was there, there was only one or two guys taking care of both locations, I was thinking maybe it’s not too much to ask that I can order a drink poolside for what was presented to us as a couple thousand dollar a night luxury resort. Also, half the property lost power for a couple hours at a time on a very regular basis, and that made it difficult to get ready for dinner time. I also heard stories about Water going out regularly, but thankfully that did not happen to us. Harbor Island itself is just about like every other Caribbean destination you may have been to where there is evidence of weather damage, construction repair, and the environment off property is significantly different economically than the environment on property. Don’t be sold a story about celebrities frequenting Harbor Island or the Dunmore being very upscale and exclusive. They are expensive and run of the mill Bahamas. The only efficiency I saw all week long was the way they processed my credit card. We would not recommend nor return to either.

Absolutely beautiful property. The Dunmore is one of Harbour Islands highlights. Super special location with delicious food, drinks and things to do. The best pickleball & tennis spot on the island. Whenever I am on the island I make sure to stop by.

The hotel was overall a disappointment. The cottages were old and tired, small and dark. The seven night minimum and over $2,000 a night ( not worth it) did not help.|However the beach was beautiful, the staff helpful and the food better than at other hotels in the Caribbean. If you decide to go, don’t go during high season, and don’t stay more than 3 nights!

My friend and I visited the clothing boutique at The Dunmore. The boutique is beautiful and opens up to the lovely grounds at The Dunmore. Janelle, helped us and she made the experience so special. We shopped for a couple of hours giving great assistance and serving wine at the end of our purchase. This young woman is an important part of the positive shopping experience. We would like to see her get a commission. We hope this happens for her.

Best vacation we have ever been on!!! We stayed at The Dunmore for our honeymoon and it was beyond amazing!! Our room was perfect, the food was amazing, the staff is so kind, and all of the amenities are great. Everyone was so friendly and we had the best week ever. We can't WAIT to come back!! Would recommend to anyone and everyone!! Best hotel on Harbour Island hands down, worth every penny!

Truly a beautiful boutique hotel situated on the most beautiful beach. All staff members especially Rashida at the front desk were super friendly and professional. Restaurant was excellent. We cannot wait to go back!
