The Dutch Mill Hotel

We had the most wonderful evening at The Dutch Mill, Aberdeen for our mum’s retirement meal, and I honestly can’t praise the team highly enough! From start to finish, the service was exceptional — every member of staff went above and beyond to make the night special. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and served piping hot. The drinks were flowing, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect setting for such an important celebration. A huge thank you to the manageress, Chris, for her wonderful organisation and personal touch, and to the rest of the fantastic team — Carly, Fiona (cant name them all), and everyone else who helped make the evening run so smoothly. Our mum’s retirement meal was a glorious success, and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!

My wife and I have just spent one week here on holiday and we were really impressed. Good comfy bed always helps and followed by a lovely breakfast every morning as well. A big shout out to Finlay and the rest of the team and many thanks for making our stay extra special, we will definitely be back

The bar and dinner were a wonderful experience! Excellent customer service at the bar! Wild boar burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Sticky toffee pudding was the BEST of our whole trip in Scotland! Highly recommend the restuarant!

We went to the Dutch Mill Restaurant in Aberdeen for lunch on Sunday the 4th May, 2025. We had a superb meal and the service by Symone was exceptionally good so all in all it was a very good lunch and we were very impressed with what we ate and the staff. When I was a young person the Dutch Mill was the bar and restaurant that myself and my friends used to go to and it is still as nice as it was then so it was lovely to sit in comfort and have a lovely meal and as I said the service was excellent from the staff but especially from Symone who treated us with respect and courtesy the same way as we treated her. I have always told my Grandsons if you behave with courtesy and are polite to people most nice people will reciprocate by treating you the same so all in all a very nice time for both my husband and myself. This trip made our weekend special, both the food and the lovely waitress.

We had dinner here and the food was good, and typical, but nice, pub grub. Service was very good and efficient and lovely atmosphere. Dog friendly which is a huge plus for us!

Went for a birthday lunch with family. Great service, food lovely and good atmosphere. This is our go-to place as it's close by, there is parking and we enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

It's OK place for time to time gathering with work colleagues. Saying OK as there is a pleasant atmosphere but it is quite pricey (thanks to the location and the fact that there are not many competitors around) pub food. Good fish and chips
