The Dutch Mill Hotel

Stayed for 3 nights with my husband. Our room was spacious and cosy which was handy as Aberdeen was freezing. Our bed could have been bigger to be honest, the room is large enough for it. Breakfast was tasty although I would have loved to have kippers on the menu! Every staff member was friendly and professional. We didn't use the bar. I was concerned we would be disturbed by noise from the bar in the evenings but we didn't hear a thing. It may be different on the weekends. |On the whole, a pleasant stay although due to the very tricky car park we probably wouldn't stay again.

We had a wonderful experience tonight. The food was delicious but what really stood out was the exceptional service from both the waiting staff and Tony. They were attentive and friendly and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this as a spot for anyone looking for great food and great service!

We had this hotel booked for us as part of a driving tour through Scotland. This hotel is a very good place to stay, with interesting character. The staff were accommodating and helpful, the room was cozy, clean and comfortable, with a very nice ensuite bathroom. We ate at the restaurant twice for supper, both the service and the food were good. The breakfasts were included with our room, and had a good choice on the breakfast menu, always tasty and filling. We forgot a jacket there, and they were very helpful by mailing it on ahead to another location we were going to. Highly recommend this hotel!

We had lunch at the restaurant with my toddler. Service was good, tasty food. Very classic Pub environment while family friendly. I like it!

Restaurant, Bar and Breakfast all under one roof. Once you've been checked in, They leave you be. But plenty of people around if you need something. There is no night porter. So Behave. And in fairness even though you are above a working Restaurant and Bar, you don't hear that much noise. Towels provided. Shower gel, Shampoo provided. You will do well staying here.

We went for my graduation dinner. There had been a mistake with their books and our booking wasn’t there but that didn’t matter to them. They took us into a private dining room and we got excellent private service from the manager Tony. He was so accommodating, chatty and gave top of the range customer service! Him and his staff could not have done a better job. Thank you so much Tony and staff for making my graduation dinner so special. You guys rock 🤩

The Dutch Mill is a nice building. I liked the look of the inside. The seats were comfortable and the food was good. We had no problems with the staff. They were all very busy but took the time to check up on us, take orders etc. Very nice lassies. However, our experience was somewhat ruined by the noise from the bar. If it wasn't the drunk sports fans, it was a hen party (or whatever it was) or obnoxious music. It was just endless throughout our couple of hours there. My daughter, wife, sister in law, parents and myself all left with stinking headaches. I get the idea that it's a bar etc, but when there's a meal area out back. You'd think that both areas would be closed off from one another. We could barely hear ourselves talk. It was quite annoying, honestly. The entrance to the building is also through some awful tent thing in what was the car park. It was full of obnoxiously loud air heads. It made us feel uncomfortable, having to weave my 8 year old through so many loud drunken individuals before we even got to the front door. Considering the lack of parking, it might be wiser to utilise that area properly again. I highly doubt it, because money. Right? The Dutch Mill Hotel could be a really nice place. It's visually quite nice, the staff were spot on and the food was good. But that atmosphere made the place feel like some tacky sports bar, which seems to be the fad for that street from what I saw tonight. It pretty much guarantees we'll never be back.

We live close by the DM but it’s not 1st choice place, especially if wanting food. Nice outside tent, especially on nice sunny day to go for drinks. However the food in my personal opinion is sadly below average and overpriced for what is received, unless ordering a burger. E.g £10 for cold nacho which are soggy underneath as dripping in puddle of sweet tomato sauce. Drinks choice and price are generally good. Albeit the frozen daiquiri machine is always broken / not working. Really wish they would sort that out to stop my Mrs complaining. Staff - generally the young servers are helpful and pour a decent pint. However bar manager is not so customer focused if you have an actual problem.

It's OK place for time to time gathering with work colleagues. Saying OK as there is a pleasant atmosphere but it is quite pricey (thanks to the location and the fact that there are not many competitors around) pub food. Good fish and chips

Excellent food at reasonable price, good atmosphere and show all major sporting events in bar
