On October 14, 2020, I took an out of town guest here to eat. I spoke of how good the food was, how amazing and friendly, the staff are, etc. I called before coming in and the young lady who answered the phone was very rude and told me she did not have time to answer questions from me due to them being extremely busy. I went to dine-in despite of. As we walked in the restaurant, all the tables were dirty and we were told to have a seat where we liked. I was like okay, let pick a table and have them to clear it off and clean it. That took about 5 mins, so I still like okay, let's just order. As we were placing our drink order, we were informed that they had no ice, so ok, I just got a lemonade that was warm like tea and my guest got a warm Coca Cola. Waitress brought food out and nothing was even warm, food was lukecold, no warmth anywhere. I'm still like okay, silverware was very dirty. I'm still like okay. Guests came in behind us and they seemed to have magically received ice, but even after refills, we were never given ice or even asked if we wanted ice after being forced to drink lukewarm beverages. This was by far the worst experience, I have ever had at Dutch Oven. It is clear that they must be under new management or something is seriously going wrong. After, trying to eat our cold food, we just gave up and proceeded to check out at the register. Little did we know, the same rude girl that answered the phone was also working the register. At this point I was over it. I asked for management and she comes out and she has a little attitude herself. At this point, the restaurant employees were clearly functioning off of her energy level. No apology was given, she just had excuse after excuse. I informed her that I was also the Welcome Center Supervisor for Coahoma County. And my job was to advise people of restaurants to visit while in Clarksdale and I was no longer comfortable sending anybody to an establishment that treat paying customer in that type of manner. I asked the lady of management about Cody. Cody is the overall owner of The Dutch Oven and I hope this review finds his eyes. I was very embarrassed and disappointed after such bragging I did. I can not believe how bad this place has gotten. Never in a million years.
