Phenomenal B&B! The building is beautiful, cozy, and full of charm. The host goes above and beyond- fresh cookies and homemade yogurt / snacks every day were such a thoughtful touch. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. I truly loved every moment of my stay. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!

This is not a typical review detailing the room, location, etc although I know that The Edgartown Inn is amazing for all these qualities. This is about the humanity, genuine caring, and empathy behind the experience. My husband and I were scheduled to stay there in five days to attend a dear friend's wedding. Despite my husband's ongoing battle with cancer, we were sure we could go. However, he was admitted to the hospital two days ago with severe symptoms from chemo and immunotherapy and the doctors said it would be impossible for us to travel. I had booked the Inn through Bookings.com who told me that I was past the free cancellation period and would have to pay. I called the Inn directly and spoke with Allison who had helped me several months ago with a stay extension. Allison was so amazing and went well above and beyond, reaching out herself to the company on a hectic Memorial Day weekend, to help make my life easier and she managed to get the room cancelled on my behalf. A wonderful hotel experience is more than about a room, it can be about a person. Because of Alison, I will always recommend the Edgartown Inn for a stay on this most magical island.

The service and staff are really great, no problem there. IMO, I felt like I was staying in a Holoday In Express. it just had that kind of vibe. Especially the breakfast common area, you know the ones where everybody is standing around going thru a free continental breakfast? Unfortunately there is nothing unique and special about it. The walls are so thin you can hear people in the halls slamming doors and people walking around in the rooms above. No robes, nothing upscale about this place at all. It was just blah! For $600 a night I expect more.Glad I just stayed one night.

Excellent service. Alison at the reception is beyond amazing! Absolute family feel. We had a fabulous time. We enjoyed more than we imagined. Great food for breakfast

One of the most comfortable inns for a beautiful summertime get away (anywhere in the world)! Not to mention, it’s an ideal location with a true Vineyard-style relaxed vibe that will make all kind of visitors smile.

Location and facilities are new and so convenient to restaurants and shops. Breakfast was minimal but otherwise a great stay. Would definitely stay here again!

I had a wonderful time at this property last week; four nights. I'm sharing just a few remarks to describe my experience...It was well-appointed and first-class. The breakfast spread exceeded my expectations. Though the space in the room was on the smaller side, the bed was super comfortable with cozy high-quality linens. The staff was amicable and accommodating - everyone was just so darn nice. I especially liked the location which made all the main attractions Chappy Ferry, and restaurants/shopping very walkable. The only downside (for me) is that it is very quiet in the evenings like NO one is sitting outside around the fire pit, I saw no one in the living room lobby, and no one on the front porch so our group felt a bit uncomfortable when we gathered in public areas for our after dinner chats and girlfriend talk time.

Yelp
I can't say enough about the Edgartown Inn The most subtle elegance the most beautiful touches - you are surrounded in the most luxe appointments yet without any pretension. Neusa was the most efficient kind knowledgeable friendly host for us at the Inn. Looked forward to seeing her smiling face every morning while she prepared the beautiful breakfast spread on the island. It was créme de la creme from start to finish

Yelp
It was a misery trying to speak to a human and then in order to speak to the local desk of this hotel I was told that she couldn't connect me unless I gave my name, fair, phone #,fair, but why my email? I just wanted to ask someone AT the location for some regional information. They use an outside booking source and frankly have absolutely NOTHING TO DO WITH Martha's Vineyard.Another outside company trying to look local without the person to person connection

Yelp
Great place to stay for a few days. Every morning there is a lovely spread of ciabatta bread with a delicious topping which changed each morning, overnight oats, fresh cut up fruit and a muffin or breakfast bread, all very fresh. There is also coffee. In the afternoons a snack such as cookies, brownies or chocolate chip bread is offered. There is also a tap to choose still, fizzy or ambient water and in each room are glass bottles you can use if you don't have your own. Also available for guests are beach chairs and towels. There is a quaint seating area in a courtyard, with several tables, chairs, couches and a fire pit that is lit nightly. There are three rooms on the first floor, 4 or 5 on the second and at least one on the third. There is no elevator. Room 5 is a great spot, faces the street, which is quiet at night. There is a fridge and a safe and nice touches like a jewelry velvet drawer and bathrobes. The AC worked well, but it would be nice to have a ceiling fan. There is parking in the back. There are 3 or 4 first come first serve spots which are free. There are a dozen others (can get tight if all full), which can be reserved for $50 a night. After Labor Day the lot was pretty empty so there was not a need to pay the extra to get a spot. Room 5 overlooks the fire pit section and can get loud if folks are enjoying lively conversation. That room is also smaller than 5. Mariella, who I believe is the manager, is very pleasant and attentive and all the staff we encountered were friendly. Even when it rained, the porch in front was comfy to use. 4 rocking chairs on one side, and lots of couch seating on the other.

Yelp
Visiting Martha's Vineyard this week & staying at the Edgartown Inn. Wonderful staff & the entire Inn is completely renovated & modernized. Repeat guests & highly recommend over any other place to stay on the Edgartown. Entire staff is amazing

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful with a wonderful front porch and an excellent location in downtown Edgartown. The room is decorated and appointed well. Huge tiled shower and bathroom as well as a super comfy bed. Staff was super accommodating and very courteous as well as always wearing mask and keeping place looking clean and spotless. Served breakfast in boxes due to covid and all was delicious. Excellent outdoor and seating space out back. Looks like their adding on. Seems to be under new management under Lark hotels. Only gripe that kept it from being 5 star is that no one ever came to tidy up our room or bathroom or replace towels. For the price there should be housekeeping on site rather than the 2 or 3 younger seeming managers/front desk personnel running the show.

Yelp
We had such a lovely stay at the Edgartown Inn. They are very accommodating, it's in a great location, and very clean! Highly recommend.

Yelp
The hotel is OK but overpriced. Our room was extremely small and without privacy as it looked into other windows. Service is poor, we came back one night and the room was not made up. There was a ceiling fan in the bathroom that could not be stopped and was noisy all night long. Breakfast was included but is not good. We paid more than $ 600 a night for a motel kind of room and amateur service. The location is very convenient but there are much better options in the area.

Yelp
We stayed at the Edgartown Inn about two years ago. My husband and I were graduate students at the time so we didn't have a lot of money to spend on hotels. Edgartown seemed to be the most affordable place in town and close to everything in Edgartown. It is a walk to ocean and all the stores and restaurants. It's a quiet and beautiful place to stay in. The rooms are simple, no TV in our room which was fine since we spent most of our time walking around town and enjoying MV. We also had breakfast a couple of times while we were there, the breakfast was good, if I remember correctly. Good coffee too! But the best part [agreeing with Daniel L. is the coffeecake they give! YUMM]. My only complaint about the room is that we were in the downstairs bedroom, right across from the check-in desk. The walls seemed to be paper-thin and I felt like there wasn't much privacy since we were basically at the entrance of the Inn. And that the bed was pretty hard and uncomfortable. The decor, throws you back into the 50's and while it isn't my style, it gives a very homey feeling to the whole place. The bathroom and room were very clean. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

Yelp
I was lucky to stay at the Edgartown Inn a few times. The Inn is locationed in downtown Edgartown and is quiet, nice and very clean. The owners are very accommodating and will try to place you in a great room even if you happen to show up without reservations. I was able to get a great room on my last visit that had a small balcony and a great view of downtown. I uploaded a picture from the balcony. FYI. If you are a big TV watcher be aware that some rooms do not have TV's since it is a Inn. Check with then to be sure but do not let that spot you from staying here. You will like the Edgartown Inn.

Yelp
We had an excellent stay here this past weekend. It is completely renovated and beautifully decorated. The most comfortable mattresses and everything was super clean! They told us upfront we'd have to request cleaning staff to come in, which we were totally fine with since everyone is being cautious with Covid. Breakfast was delicious, it changed every day and they quickly brought it to our room with just a text. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Also great location, walking distance to everything. One downside was no mini fridges in the room - which was our fault for not checking the amenities list - but we had brought food, which thankfully they allowed us to store in a fridge downstairs. Overall, excellent stay and would for sure come back.

Yelp
Good breakfast spot & it has to be since that's the only meal they serve. They don't have a large selection, but everything they make is tasty. I've had better pancakes at other spots, but these did the job quite nicely. I got the cinnamon apple pancakes and the apples were cut small so they blended into the pancake but i think that they could have used a heavier hand on the cinnamon. The poached eggs were some of the best I'd ever had anywhere with no vinegary taste to them and they were cooked perfectly so that the yolk made a nice sauce to scoop up with the bread. The best part of their breakfast, though, is that everyone gets a freshly-baked warm piece of coffeecake. This little appeteaser is accompanied by your choice of juice and coffee or tea and is included with every breakfast. The decor is out of the 50's with old dutch decorations and a radio that plays songs made well before my time. The staff is great and they sing along to the radio, further cementing the timewarp feel you get when you walk into this place. I didn't stay here, so I can't comment on how good the inn is, but breakfast is good. Come here for a good complete breakfast if you're hungry and you'll leave satisfied.

Yelp
The best place I have ever stayed! They bake brownies for you on the 4th of July and bring them out to you along with iced tea while you watch the 4th of July parade from the front porch. The front porch there is the best porch sitting place I have ever seen. The staff is so friendly and treats you like their own. Breakfast is great! Location is awesome! I can't say enough good things about the Edgartown Inn! It is a must when you visit Martha's Vineyard!

Yelp
We recently stayed here for a wedding. The Inn is beautiful and quaintly decorated. It was also close to everything around town. We loved being able to walk to everything, including the wedding location. The staff was absolutely delightful and accommodating. The building itself is an older structure so the walls are not completely soundproof, but that is found in any historic hotel or inn. I would recommend this lovely inn to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Edgartown that is close to almost everything, has a great history behind it, and has a friendly and beautiful environment.

Yelp
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Edgartown Inn. The location was perfect -- out of the way enough to be peaceful, but close enough to town to walk to the shops and restaurants. We stayed in the smallest room in the inn and it was perfect. Private bath, comfy bed and no TV, so we could truly unplug. Sandi, the innkeeper could not have been lovelier, and the same can be said about Claire, her assistant. Everything was clean and homey. The continental breakfast was perfect, with warm homemade coffee cake and our choice of freshly made bread for toasting. If you have the opportunity to try the Cheese Toast, I highly recommend it. If you are looking for a wonderful experience, this is the place to stay. We will 100% be back.
