Amazing restaurant in the Third Ward. Staff was welcoming and always smiling. The food was delicious and satisfying. The starter salad was perfectly dressed and the ingredients were fresh and perfectly paired. The Beef Short Ribs were moist, tender and flavorful and a match for the bed of creamy mashed potatoes. A must try when in the area.

Fantastic quality every time. During out visit this weekend, we were blown away by the quality of service from Heidi and the creativity the Chef has brought to their latest menu. We enjoyed the croquettes, summer salad, Pork Chop and Dorade. We finished with the Cosmic Brownie for Dessert. It was a phenomenal meal, with ingredients that were clearly fresh and assembled with attention to detail. We can't wait for our next visit!

I visited with a friend on a slow Friday afternoon. Drinks were delicious. We ordered off of the lunch menu. Food was also delicious. They have a separate happy hour menu, which we also tried. We lingered and talked, ordered more drinks and were enjoying the vibe until our server said she had to be the "bearer of bad news" and that she had several tables coming in. We saw that there were about 5 tables filled and the rest of the place was empty. Definitely killed the vibe and we won't be back. If she was concerned about tips or losing money on the table, she shouldn't have been as we ordered quite a bit and spent plenty for an afternoon. What a shame. I wanted to love this place.

Google
The food was delicious. Cocktails were amazing. The atmosphere was a super chill vibe. And my server was super cool and helpful. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for upscale eating in Milwaukee.

The Borg Cooking Show

Google
The atmosphere is very artfully industrious with exposed brick, well managed exposed piping, and a crowded wall of framed artwork. The bar alone is a massive piece of eye candy. The bottles are beautifully lit and contrast starkyl against the dark wood. The music played over the hidden speakers ranged from 1960s rock and roll to essential jazz which made for a perfect dinning soundtrack. The food is good but quite pricey. Nana's meatballs 8.2/10 Crab Cake: 6.0/10 Coal Fired Wings: 7.6/10 Pigs in a blanket 9.8/10 Bloody Mary : 8.0/10

Google
Very cool place. It’s a bit pricier than the Wahlburger it replaced but the food is 10x better. The downside was the wait times for food. The staff apologized, but it’s still pretty shocking to wait over an hour for a bison burger. When the food did arrive it was very good. The greens were fresh, the meat was cooked to order & the portion size was generous. I would highly recommend The Edison if you’re not in a rush, as the vibe there is cool for just chilling while you wait for your food.

Google
The apps are amazing, we tried the meat balls and they were soft juicy and super delicious on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes. The spirit free cocktail selection is very good compared to many other places with very limited options. The rise n shine is highly recommended with taste of real ginger. The salads and entre were very well prepared and tasty. The salmon skin was crispy and the fish was moist and flaky. The hanger steak is also highly recommended. The best entre here hands down is the cacio e pepe. Highly recommend Edison. Don't forget the dessert. Lemon Riccota cheese cake was so light and flavorful that you may get tempted to order a second one, but don't it. Try another dessert instead.

Google
The Edison was a great place to visit. This was my first visit and I think I will be going back. I had a Bloody Mary and Butterscotch Alexander, both were very good. I had the French Onion soup as my appetizer, which was very good. The cheese was nice and thick. I also had the Cacio E Pepe with Salmon. The Salmon was peppered to perfection. The strozzapreti noodles were homemade and very good with a thick truffle sauce. They have a wide variety of food. They also have a bar with some TVs. This is a good place for a date.

Yelp
Fantastic service, ambiance, and food at the Edison for dinner! Madison was our friendly and attentive server and she was very helpful when we had questions and choices to make. We shared the wagyu pigs in a blanket and the truffle cheese spread - both delicious. I ordered the house salad and added ahi tuna and it was excellent. It's a large portion, perfect for an entree and I even had some leftovers for lunch the next day. I also tried the beef short rib and that was heavenly and perfectly done. For dessert we shared the skillet cookie, rum cake, and flourless chocolate cake. These were all wonderful, too. I felt like the rum cake would do The Great British Baking Show proud - the cake was baked to perfection.

Yelp
I enjoyed the Edison. It had a really classy vibe and great service. Our food was good, but I thought the menu was small and my mocktail was not my favorite. Tried: wagyu pretzel dogs, truffle cheese dip, ceasar salad with grilled chicken Loved: the truffle cheese dip was fantastic!

Yelp
Great space and vibe, but it sadly ended there. Upon sitting at the bar, which was 20% full, it took 10 minutes to be served -- Even though there were 3-4 people milling around. The beer taps were having issues, so everything was heavily foamy. One drink order was forgotten, while another beer took 20 minutes while it sat at the tap, 1/4 full of foam. The food was, unfortunately, just as disappointing. The wings were dry and really over-seasoned. The Mac & Cheese was legitimately the soupiest I've ever seen. The burger so undercooked and soggy I didn't touch it (no one offered to remake it, either). Overall, it felt like a place that had just opened with a staff not very experienced in working in a kitchen or behind a bar.

Yelp
The Edison is smack in the middle of the third ward and has the vibe of a swanky retro restaurant. Each time, the staff has been very attentive and welcoming and always happy to walk through their menu and drinks that are seasonal. We stopped in during happy hour which is daily from 3-5PM I believe. We had a few drinks from their happy hour menu and truffle fries that were not on their HH menu. Excited to go back to explore their brunch and dinner menu soon!

Yelp
Great spot for cocktails in the third ward! The drinks were so tasty and I was really happy with the black dahlia, tasting like fruity blackberries. The decor inside was beautiful and elegant, and bar area was welcoming. We added this to our list of cocktail places in the third ward because of their great tasting cocktails and comfortable atmosphere.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch for my and my wife's birthdays. We made a reservation via Open Table and were seated on time. Parking took a few minutes to find a spot, so plan accordingly. The host and server acknowledged our birthdays (indicated on the reservation) and we got a once card signed by the staff as well as choice of champagne or chocolate cake. We got the cake and it was delicious! I had the Ahi Tuna sandwich with fries and it was delicious and very filling. The sauce was the star of the dish. For drink I chose the brandy shrub which was sweet and smooth.

Yelp
Went here with my fiancée and her parents for dinner. Had pretty good expectations as I like the restaurant group that operates this restaurant. Let's start with pros: - The service was very good, server checked in on us multiple times and brought everything promptly - Appetizers were very good and we took them down super fast - The grilled pork chop one of us ordered was bar none the best pork chop I have ever had Now the cons: - We specifically emphasized that someone in our party had allergies and it seems like the kitchen did not take enough care to reduce the risk of cross contamination. Our party member was sick for the whole night after dinner. Unfortunately this is an issue with restaurants at this price point and has happened before with restaurants owned by this restaurant group. - I ordered the roasted chicken which was extremely dry, to the point I couldn't finish it. It was certainly overcooked and not very good. Overall I think bad circumstances led to the experience being not the best. But based on those circumstances, I am not sure if I'd be willing to give this place another chance.

Yelp
We were going to a nearby play at the Skylight Music Theater (about a five minute walk away if you're looking for a nearby eatery!). Our experience was ok. Beginning with the good to great: + The space is beautiful and the location is perfect. Nestled in the Historic Third Ward, it's a prime location for dining before or after shows at the many nearby theaters. There's tons of nearby shopping as well. + We made reservations and were seated promptly. + Service was prompt as well + We got rum cake for dessert and it was a boozy, tropical delight + I had seared scallops added to my cacio e pepe and they were prepared wonderfully with the perfect sear + They have a sidewalk patio with heaters The less than ideal: + The cocktails weren't my jam. I got The Good Land and found it unbalanced + The cauliflower side also had what felt like conflicting flavors that left my dining companion and I struggling to eat it + The cacio e pepe lacked flavor + The service while prompt was otherwise not really friendly (few words were spoken) A bit of a mixed bag for me but the location is great and the inside is beautiful.

Yelp
I've been here once before for a dinner when it first opened and just went for the 2nd time for a girls brunch. I love the mid-century aesthetic, you feel very classy having brunch at this restaurant and it's such a fun spot to bring friends to! I started with a french 75, I would say theirs was OK. the proportions of liquids didn't seem quite right but it was still drinkable. Next, I tried their Pear Spritz, which was basically an aperol spritz with pear simple syrup - that was pretty tasty! We shared their pigs in a blanket as an appetizer and those were super yummy (sorry no photo!) - little hotdogs wrapped in an everything bagel seasoned puff pastry (so hot upon arrival haha). For my entre I opted for the nashville hot chicken salad w/salad on the side (because, balance...). The sandwich was HUGE, like, couldn't fit it in my mouth for a bite huge haha so I mostly had to pick at it or cut it to eat. It was super tasty though, the crisp was perfection and the flavors were on point, low spice. Will definitely be going back!

Yelp
The Edison was very sophisticated and upscale. Our server was very attentive and checked in the right amount of times. Food was tasty, we had the baked truffle cheese spread as an appetizer and I had the salmon. The app was creamy and delicious. The bread it came with was very good and well toasted. The salmon was cooked perfectly as well. For drinks, I had the Bradford which was a little too sweet for my preference but still enjoyable. I would definitely return and try more dishes.

Yelp
Run, don't walk, to The Edison for their seasonal corn risotto! Perfect summer dish! Pro tip: add bacon Overall, menu had clear gluten free and vegetarian indicators which is appreciated. The rest of my group enjoyed the wings, porkchop, and cacio e pepe Note: 4 stars given due to high prices! $30 for risotto (even great risotto) is steep for Milwaukee

Yelp
Delicious cocktails Different assortment of appetizers I really liked the shallots! The interior is gorgeous highly recommend going for drinks and appetizers, it's a little on the pricey side so you could go for heavy apps to share easy or even just for drinks before a show. Service was good.

Yelp
Our waiter was fantastic, food was absolutely delicious, and the inside had a cool vibe.

Yelp
A new Milwaukee spot, it was yummy but nothing too crazy! The menu was on the unique-r side, with some twists on classic dishes, but the taste was pretty standard (aka the waygu pigs in a blanket). The inside is cute and there was an extensive menu, so lots more to try, potentially. Service was very nice. Good vibes overall.

Yelp
Grand looking building with a bit of eclectic decor. Service was ok the waitress was friendly enough. Food was good not great. Salmon was a bit overcooked, frittata was a bit dry but tasty. Corn risotto was good and the Mac and cheese was a little too thick.

Yelp
Date of visit: April 5, 2024 We received a gift card from a friend a few months ago and finally had a chance to score a reservation and enjoy the free eats! I loved the decor, the Art Deco vibe with the velvet, sharp angles, and plentiful use of brass was very chic. I do wish we had been in a booth against the wall rather than one of the tables in the middle; while I do like high top tables, I felt a bit "out in the open," but I'm not one of those people that questions the wisdom of the host staff. Plus we were a few minutes late for the reservation due to the ever-present I-43 construction and staff didn't bat an eye! Heidi took great care of us, making sure we had plenty of water and sold the special with such gusto that our friend took her up on it and enjoyed it thoroughly. We started with an order of the rolls; which were delightful if a tab overpriced at $10 for 5. I am thinking ahead to a trip to Italy in the future and went with the cacio e pepi, and found it to be quite tasty! My husband had the Edison Burger and also gave it two thumbs up. All around an excellent meal, I just would prefer the prices to match the portion sizes a bit more, other than that, no complaints!

Yelp
A newcomer to Milwaukee's Third Ward that shakes up the restaurant landscape with a bit of modern Great Gatsby vibes and American fare with an elevated twist - think truffle cheese spread and cauliflower steaks. Located in the Third Ward very close to all the action and Milwaukee's Public Market, the location can't be beat although finding street or nearby parking can be a challenge. Theres an ample, covered patio space that spills into the sidewalk in front of the restaurant and inside there's a riot of mish-mashed photos making up an eclectic gallery wall in the main dining space. We were surprised we were able to be seated right away (no reservation required) albeit we did visit on a weekday. Service was fast and friendly from start to finish. The menu was loaded with great, modern American dishes including vegetarian options. All dishes we tried were very good - tasty and flavorful. Prices are reasonable especially for the Third Ward. The atmosphere is elegant but also casual - especially if you are seated by the bar space.

Yelp
We ate here on a Saturday night with another couple. Our server greeted us promptly and had suggestions on cocktails and later on entrees. Drinks came out quickly but things slowed after that. We ordered the baked truffle cheese spread which was delicious although we could have used a bit more bread. Two folks ordered short ribs, one person ordered salmon and I ordered the duck ragu and a Caesar salad. There was a pretty long gap before the salad came out. It was large, well presented if pretty standard. After another decent gap the entrees came out. Both diners liked the short ribs. The duck was ok. Large portion but nothing stood out. Our waiter came back several times to see if we wanted another round of drinks, which we declined, but he left water glasses unfilled until he brought out desert menus. Everything we tried was well prepared and presented.

Yelp
We went for our wedding anniversary having never been. The location, design, and decor were great. The server was very polite, but my wife received an incorrect dish she did not order and it appeared to have been a server mistake. The cocktails were well balanced and refreshing. The food was mediocre, especially for the price. I would consider going back, but only if their food quality improved or maybe for cocktails and apps.

Yelp
We arrived 15minutes early for our reservation and Brook greeted us with a big smile and seated us right away at a high top for 3 as we requested thru Open Table.. The ambience is cozy, intimate, and charming. Our server Michael (please don't ever lose him--he is fantastic!) took our cocktails order and helped us decide on the Nana's Meatballs appetizer to start while we studied the dinner menu. Many reviewers had recommended the coal-roasted corn risotto but the Duroc Pork Chop looked so inviting. Michael steered us right as he described how chef prepared the pork and then paired it with white cheddar grits and Door County cherry jus--heaven on a plate. The fried Confit Chicken was moist and tender/paired with a smoked potato salad! We shared house salads that made a goat-cheese convert out of one of our friends who always "opted-out" of goat cheese before tasting the way The Edison used it! More cocktails, more delicious food, and desserts; crème brûlée and a flourless chocolate cake. It was a wonderful evening and we will definitely be back for more from The Edison.

Yelp
The Edison is a nice addition to the Third Ward. We stopped in for brunch recently. The decor is really beautiful, the service was great, and the food was very good. We shared the pigs in the blanket to start things off. I tried their Just A Dash mocktail and the chicken and waffles (the waffles were so delicious!!). The others tried the chicken sandwich and the ricotta eggs. The home fries that came with the eggs were a favorite, but we all agreed I won.

Yelp
What a treasure! The service (Natalie) was exceptional-attentive and helpful without being intrusive. She was especially patient with my elderly aunt, who can be a little extra with servers! We had the Waygu pigs in a blanket to start- they were tasty, but not quite what we expected. For entrees, we had the Steelhead Trout, the Summer Salad with Hangar Steak, and the Waygu Bavette. Each entree was expertly prepared and delicious. We all tasted everything, and there were no misses. The summer salad, a cold mix of sliced snap peas, asparagus and carrots with miso dressing is something I'll be craving and trying to recreate! Both steaks were perfect , and the trout was delicate with crisped skin and a side of a duck fat hash brown that was to die for. The space was comfortable and felt like an (much) elevated super club. The jazz music playing in the background was a nice accompaniment to the meal. We shared a dessert of a butterscotch pot de crème that was delightful, as well. My aunt, who is incredibly hard to please, was thrilled with the whole experience. My only regret of that we live so far away that we can't make this place a regular stop. If you're in Milwaukee, be sure to check The Edison out!

Nick S.

Yelp
A disappointing experience. Three of the four diners in our party struggled to finish our entrees. Bland flavors were the common theme. The restaurant was only a quarter full on a Saturday night at 7 pm. Feels like the word is out on this one. Dont let the beautiful decor fool you. Probably a better place just to grab a drink and then head somewhere else for your meal. Service did as well as they could, but the food just doesn't meet the standard of a place where you'll spend $50-$60 per person after apps and drinks.

Michael Z.

Yelp
Amazing bar restaurant! Great vibe great staff great food and drink menu! In the heart of Milwaukee near the public market - very walkable to the river and lakefront attractions. Bolognese, gnocchi, shrimp and grits, steaks have amazing flavor from their hardwood charcoal grill and double cut pork chop was my favorite!
google avatar

Gladys C.

Yelp
I had the opportunity to meet with a client for dinner, at the Edison, while traveling on business. It was not too crowded on a Tuesday happy hour time. There was plenty on parking in the lot next to the restaurant for around $20-$22 for two hours. The host and waitress were nice. I had a house salad with tuna as my protein. Everything was delicious the tuna was perfectly cooked. I had dressing on the side with a bit of milled pepper. There is a bar in the restaurant and overall it was a great atmosphere. I recommend the Edison when in the area.

Yelp
The Edison is a beautiful establishment in a A+ location. The restaurant overall for me though, comes in short. While the design is outstanding and the concept solid, for me the food and drink miss the mark. The prices are appropriate for the concept that they are trying to portray, but the food is bland and un-impressive for the price. It remind me of another restaurant group in Milwaukee that develops a great esthetic, a nice menu- but then, comes up short where it is most important. Brunch on a Saturday had a weird energy from a staff standpoint- and really everything just seemed mediocre. The bartender warmed up as the experience continued, but didn't live up to the concept in my opinion. The pigs in a blanket were just "OK" but the food runner who brought them out was very friendly. The BLT on the brunch menu was 'eh at best. Dry and of less quality than you could make at home. Steak sandwich was tasty- and I would order that again. The Edison has a ton of potential, is a beautiful space- but has some work to do on their cocktail and food programming. Milwaukee needs a place like this- so step it up.

Yelp
Delicious crab cakes. Great service. Delicious New York strip. Wonderful service. The wait staff signed a card for our anniversary which was awesome.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this restaurant! The space is very cozy and feels intimate, and the service was great too! The menu is a little more expensive, but everything was delicious. I'm not a huge fan that most of the dishes on the menu were a slice of some sort of meat, but that's just a personal preference. I had the Cacio E Pepe, which was so creamy and flavorful! I would come back to the restaurant for this dish alone. The black dalia cocktail tasted like a blackberry mojito too.. yum!

Yelp
The Edison was fantastic. Four of us had a great dinner on a Wednesday night. At the bar - the Old Fashioned was a good twist on a classic. The bartender crafted an off-menu cocktail for one of the guys in our party (It's the Apple Cider non-alcoholic cocktail w/ a shot of bourbon - you should try it). Everyone else enjoyed their cocktails and wine. Heidi was our server. She "got" us. She was a ton of fun and made the experience even better. The food - the pork entree was amazing. The short ribs were also fantastic. The meatball appetizer exceeded expectations. All in all, a great experience. Now in the top 5 of my favorite restaurants in Milwaukee.

Yelp
The Edison is truly one of a kind. When you walk in it feels like you are in a different era. The food options are unlike other places I have tried. I got the cauliflower steak and I will say it was the best I have ever had. The server my cousins and I had was amazing she checked in often and gave us great recommendations. The ambiance was unlike I have seen in some time. Just sitting inside the restaurant was like a time warp! The one thing I think it was missing was break or some kind of appetizer like other places I have been to.

Yelp
Love The Edison - it's a great addition to the downtown area! I've been a couple times (for brunch and dinner) over the last few months and each experience was exceptional - kudos to the hostesses and the servers! I'll start by saying the interior is beautiful. I love that even with the updates, they kept the integrity of the building - it's industrial but contemporary. It's a really beautiful space to match the aesthetic of the restaurant. THE FOOD! Brunch, we tried the parker rolls, chicken and waffles (the sweet tea brine + chicken thighs is a nice touch), lobster fingers and French toast. For dinner, the table had lobster pasta, salmon and the Edison burger - all amazing! Check it out - you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
The Edison had a great vibe for a weeknight during a heat wave. Our server had the most wonderful raspy whisper AMSR voice. He forgot to tell us the specials and we gave him crap, so he treated us to 2 champagnes:) Sooo sweet! The cauliflower steak was our favorite, however we ordered this as a starter to split. I don't think I would've been full from it as my entree. The fried shallots were a lovely adaptation of "onion rings". The duck bolognese was the perfect cozy dish. The scallops were cooked to perfection! We loved this upscale spot in the Third Ward.

Yelp
I had no idea what to expect at The Edison, as I'd never been inside the space, nor had I pre-browsed the menu. I was excited to go blindly into this brand new restaurant! We had a group of six on a Friday night, in which we were sure to book a reservation ahead of time. I'm glad we did because the place was full when we arrived. Our party was sat towards the back in a large, round booth that was quite cozy. I liked how the booths all along the perimeter are all raised up higher that then seating in the middle of the restaurant. Initial overall vibes: a great atmosphere. Certainly more upscale and sophisticated. Very well designed and decorated. We were not long greeted by a friendly waitress. She gave us a nice intro the menu, shared the appetizer special and took our drink orders. It was cocktails all around, and they did end up taking quite a long time to make it to our table. With the place being so new, I'd imagine they're ironing out some kinks. I was the only one who had a spirt-free cocktail and it wasn't my favorite. Not really worth the $10 price, a similar price to the cocktails that actually have alcohol in them. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their drinks (minus the espresso martini that could use an upgrade). For apps we shared baked truffle cheese spread, pigs in a blanket, and the shrimp special. All were throughly enjoyable and packed with flavor. My fave was probably the cheese spread. I opted for the risotto main and added scallops. This dish was a WIN! Absolutely loved the combined herbs, lemon and mushroom flavors. The whole thing has a perfectly creamy consistency. Plus, the scallops were cooked just right! Various other entrees were ordered at the table, included the lobster pasta, chicken, and Edison hero (aka prime rib). The one suggestion that came up was noting on the menu that the Edison Hero is indeed made into a sandwich. All around thumbs up from everyone though!

Yelp
Review is for brunch -stopped in for brunch and the atmosphere and service were great, but the food overall was just a miss for me. The truffle cheese was great and definitely the star of our meal. My chicken sandwich was just meh...felt a bit over cooked and lacking in flavor; and just entirely too difficult to eat. My companions had the skirt steak sandwich and the Benny and felt similarly about their meals. I've had other items here which were quite good, but I think their brunch is just a miss for me

Yelp
Was very excited to try out The Edison for my birthday meal, the hubby listened when I said it was where I wanted to go so he made a reso online and noted it was my birthday (we dined on a Sunday evening). We arrived and were sat at a big booth which was kind of fun in my opinion. I was a tad bummed when I discovered there were no vodka cocktails, but there were 3 gin cocktails and 2 bourbon cocktails... So I requested a vodka collins from the waitress, while my hubby got a beer. The experience started iffy when my drink came back and there was more ice than drink in the glass, but I figured that's what I get for not ordering something on the menu. The hubby inquired what dishes the waitress recommended as we were new to the establishment. She notified us that the pigs in a blanket were the most ordered app - so we said we would try it. I thought they were very good but I know my hubby was underwhelmed, stating that for the price they were not nearly "complex enough". For dinner, I ordered the lobster pasta main and my hubby ordered the Edison burger. I enjoyed my lobster pasta, it was rich with a good lobster taste that wasn't too overpowering. My hubbys burger was good, he was not overly impressed and when I asked his opinion, he said he isn't going to rave over it to his friends anytime soon. As I said in the beginning of my review, our reso was at 8pm on a Sunday and my husband noted it was my birthday. When we finished our entrees we both thought a birthday treat may be coming my way. Instead the waitress told us the kitchen is closed and she was unable to offer us dessert (it was minutes before 9pm). Being that both my husband and I both worked in the service industry we were understanding. That is until another guest sitting near us requested a dessert menu within ear shot and she immediately brought it to them and took their order. She must have known we overheard because next thing we knew she came to apologize and offer to give us a complimentary dessert. Again, no acknowledgment of my birthday. Take away: The food was good, the ambiance was also very lovely. I would NOT recommend for a birthday or celebration event, unless you are willing to speak up and say HEY it's my birthday.

Yelp
Went to The Edison on a Tuesday - very relaxed environment and attentive staff. The location is so perfect, especially if you're visiting Milwaukee since it's right across from the Milwaukee Public Market and a bunch of the more tourist-y areas. The food was delicious! I got the pigs n a blanket, mac n cheese, truffle fries, and scallop entree. The fries came with ketchup and then this delicious black garlic aoili. The highlight of my meal was honestly the mac n cheese - it was so delicious. I would recommend giving The Edison a try!

Yelp
The outside seating area is nice and the service is good, but the dinner menu is quite underwhelming. Very few vegetarian options and not having a real good vegan option is disappointing. The menu does say that the mashed potatoes contain bone marrow (so yes do pay attention to the menu), but seeing a huge chunk of bone as part of the "décor" in the middle of the plate seems unnecessary if not grotesque. Perhaps the brunch options are better, but dinner wise, there's not much here for enticing vegetarian options.

Yelp
Impressed by the modern interior design and great service already even before we started to order and eat! We went with a little awake baby in a car seat and also needed to use bathroom a few times because of baby. It felt like everybody in the service team was well trained - not only knew how to serve professionally but also had the hospitality spirit and took very good care of us. Now the food. I must say it's all at "third ward upscale restaurant prices". With that being said, here we go: Pigs in a blanket: this appetizer was so popular on social media so we decided to give it a try. Nothing surprisingly special, but we liked the flaky & warm pastry crust a lot. Lobster pasta: this one was also very popular on social media and it didn't disappoint us. Generous amount of lobster, chewy and authentic handmade pasta, and delicious seasoning. A slightly heavier and saltier dish than we thought but very good. Cauliflower "steak": a delightful and refreshing vegetarian dish! The coal-fired cauliflower - we were curious about how it would taste and it tasted tender and natural and not quite as smoky to us. The sauce, the lentils and the greens were all great components of the dish. A very successful recipe! Mashed potato with bone marrow: not very special but we liked the "extra" side of the dish. Skillet cookie: I was so worried about getting a crazy sweet & large cookie but it turned out to be a cutie. The gelato was refreshing and came in a larger amount so you don't need to worry about not having enough to eat with the warm chocolate cookie below. A classic recipe but The Edison did it in a considerate and nice way.

Yelp
Nice ambiance , good for family dinner and get together but need reservation. You can park on the street but prefer to park on the paid parking lot. We came here for family dinner to kick start my son's journey to Marquette for early dinner. Family ordered ,Truffle Cheese Spread as starter, Scallop, Risotto, Fish and Chip, Edison Hero, Cappo E Peppe, and 2 side dishes of whipped potato and carmelized cauliflower. Food came in pretty quick maybe because we're here for early dinner. They look great and appetizing in the eye, they are delicious just like in the photos. Hats off the kitchen staff. Service staff also are attentive and took good care Of us. I really recommend this place to try when in Historic Third Ward District.

Yelp
We tried it out for date night and enjoyed the service and ambiance of the restaurant! We made the reservation a day or two in advance and didn't have an issue with getting our desired time. The restaurant fits in nicely with the third ward and has a nice modern feel to the space. The tables are spaced well and you don't feel like you're on top of people, options for inside or outside (under canopy) seating, booths and tables, as well as a bar area. The menu has lots of options for different dietary restrictions and lots of options of wine and spirits to choose from, including some mocktail options. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful especially with it being a newer restaurant, has lots of recommendations. We ordered drinks from the bar, cacio e pepe, and the filet mignon with a side of Mac and cheese. We weren't super impressed with the food, especially for the price, the pasta was a little salty for our taste. The food was good, but we were expecting a little more for the price point. For dessert we had a delicious crepe brûlée (newly added to the menu), with some delicious white peach cream on top. Overall we would be back to give it another try, there always are some kinks to work out when opening that I am sure they are aware of.

Yelp
Stopped in for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised! Located and a very cute area to bop around (for out of towners like me exploring), they have a cute and shaded outdoor patio and an elegant (but not overly fancy) inside with a full service bar. The concierge at my hotel who recommended it described it as a place you could grab a casual (but good) burger or something much fancier and I couldn't agree more. I grabbed their Wedge Salad and it was DELICIOUS! The picture speaks for itself and I appreciate the smaller pieces of wedge that made it much easier to cut up and eat! Would definitely recommend giving it a try!

Yelp
We stopped in for a glass of wine on a stunning Sunday night that we were out for a sunset walk . Staff were welcoming and happy to see us even after a long weekend. Atmosphere allowed for great conversation with a wonderful glass of wine .

Yelp
Highlights 1) Cool Ambiance 2) Friendly Service 3) Great Food Wow! Wow! Wow! I visited Edison for the first time last night and was completely blown away. We had made a reservation about 1 month prior and we definitely needed it! I did overhear the staff at the host stand inform a few people that they were completely booked up for the evening and had to turn away all walk in business. This place is brand new so maybe in time you will be able to do a walk in, but I definitely recommend a reservation. We were seated right away when we arrived! The ambiance is modern and trendy without being sterile. I loved all the rich colors and textures. Service was super friendly and helpful throughout our entire experience. We ordered a bottle of wine that was sold out and our server had a great back up recommendation at the ready. We chose to share a bunch of plates which was easy to do! This isn't a "small plates" restaurant per day but there are plenty of appetizers and our group was comfortable sharing entrees. The food was great! Gluten-Friendly options are marked. We did the tempura shallots (GF), chicken wings, risotto (GF), cauliflower steak (GF) and whipped potatoes (GF). The risotto and tempura shallots were for sure the stand outs to me but everything was amazing! I can't wait to be back and try more menu items!

Yelp
Sunday brunch started with mimosas. Crispy Lobster fingers. So far so good. Our waiter Alex, polite, punctual, high customer service representative. The Ambiance clean, fresh, high ceiling open flowing concept. For brunch we picked three different entries. Ok so what happened to our food we seem to be waiting an extended amount of time between taking away our empty appetizer plates and bringing out our entire it took 30 minutes has gone by. When the food arrived it was all looking delicious, tasted delicious hot fresh and we all left the table full with no room for dessert So because of the time we had to wait for our entire there was no way I would give them 5 stars. Other than that everything was quiet good Bon appétit

Yelp
Wow! We had an amazing meal, great cocktails, terrific service and a fantastic date night at the Edison last night. (Make an Open Table reservation online and ask for a booth if you want to impress your date.) We started with a pair of Old Fashioneds, and are very fussy about such things. The Edison cocktails did not disappoint, made with premium bourbon and the bartender's own unique twist. We then shared the warm truffle cheese spread and bread for an appetizer -- craving carbs after a hot afternoon at AmFam Field. It came hot and quickly, and our server Jillian took great care of us. Hungry for steak, we both ordered the filet mignion. Mine was a perfect medium rare, his was medium, just as he ordered. The steaks were flavorful, seasoned perfectly and served with mushrooms and asparagus. Instead of a side, we ordered the Cacio e Pepe at Jillian's suggestion, splitting it into to two side portions. Yum! The Old Fashioneds were so good we ordered a second for dessert, though I'm sure the desserts are wonderful as well. It was the best dining experience I've had in a long time. Thank you Edison! We'll be back.
