We just finished a three-day stay at the Editory House in Porto, and I was thoroughly impressed. The location is excellent, with the riverfront just steps away. Every member of the staff we interacted with was friendly and helpful, and made us feel at home. The hotel itself is modern on the inside and very thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. It’s clear that a LOT of thought went into to the design and decor.
Our room was on the small side, but was so carefully designed that everything just worked and it seemed bigger than it was. Our room faced an inner courtyard so that we had outside light but we were shielded from street noise. Some rooms do face the street, those may be noisier though I should add that the windows are solid and seal well. The only negative (and this feels like a nitpick) is that the refrigerator in our room was tucked into a cabinet with no ventilation, so it didn’t cool effectively. I propped open the cabinet door and the fridge worked much better that way.
