Really odd experience!! The grounds are stunning, nice and quiet. But everything else needs massive rethinking. The ‘Dr’ consult is just a quick chat about your diet and the massage you are going to have. He took our blood pressure but read them both wrong. The food in the evening was awful, very basic and bland, you’ll have much better down the road at a local restaurant. If you’re vegetarian you will be served just vegetables and bland salad. Sri Lanka has some of the best vegetarian food so it’s strange they can’t bring that in to a 5 star hotel. Even the fish was an over cooked fish finger, with jarred tar tar. The restaurant had zero atmosphere as well. The breakfast was actually ok, and was the most authentic Sri Lankan food they served, why not offer that for dinner? The treatments were nice.

I spent 9 days at the resort and can only say that my stay was amazing. The staff and manager were incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I had a wonderful experience with my Ayurvedic treatments and unbelievable massages. The service felt very personal and everyone was invested in making your stay as pleasurable as possible. The food was also super amazing - in particular the High Tea. All of that within the most fantastic jungle setting with yoga as the sun set. Perfect!
