The Empress Chiang Mai Hotel

Stayed for 7 nights in room 1103 during a conference held at the hotel. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very nice. The food is plentiful, but the buffet we were served was not very tasty. The hotel also does not understand food allergies, something that was very frustrating. Most of the hotel staff have very poor knowledge of English, so I recommend installing Google translate. The room was very comfortable, but the bathroom could do with an update. Bathroom amenities provided. Safe deposit box, lots of clothes hangers. Housekeeping very good. The hotel is situated within walking distance from the night market, restaurants etc. Very nice pool!

A wonderful quiet, clean and outstanding Hotel in a quieter area of Chiangmai but close to everywhere. It surpasses the publicity and offers cleanliness above the Normal even the lifts get disinfected every 30 minutes. A feast for breakfast features an array of dishes to please even the fussiest of eaters. Every member of staff is there to assist you and help you enjoy your stay. I can only say my stay was a quality one with outstanding service and a restful and relaxing bedroom and even a reading room if you would like to use it.

Nice hotel, very clean and tidy. Great staff that are happy, polite and friendly. Facilities are very good, rooms are the same and have all you need. Laundry service available, or use the one at the bottom of the road. ATM machine in front of the hotel to the left, down the steps into the car park. Short walk right at the bottom of the road to the night market.

Location is good. Overall a good hotel but surprised on the price given the service and room. If price was a bit lower I would stay again.

Excellent service by Boon at the front reception desk when checking in, was able to check in earlier without prior arrangement which was appreciated. Received a gift basket as well, exceptional and very grateful. Hotel itself has a nice foyer and entry, and room was comfortable with a good breakfast and restaurant. Would stay again.

Other than the fact that they are still using room keys and thus limit you to one key per room and not using the key card technology, the hotel is pretty good and the location is excellent. The rooms are pretty big and so are the washrooms.

It's a very old hotel that needs some update! Rooms are nice, though and service is good. Food is awful, only breakfast was good. It is located in a normal place, nothing fancy.

Hotel is slightly runned down. The electricty in our room was shaky. My king size bed was two twin beds with wheels put side by side. If you the moved, so did the beds. Cleaning is a little questionable. I dropped a flaky pastry on the rug, and it was only swept, and the crumbs were dispersed throughout the rug.The only thing good about the hotel was its location and price.
