The English Bookshop

Took the train for 2 hours with my book-loving daughter to get here, and it was totally worth it! What a lovely little shop with everything you could ask for. Good selection of books, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. We will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend a visit to any book lover! 📖📚❤️ PS. We've been back a few times now, and already have our next trip booked. Best bookstore for English books! DS.

Absolutely lovely store. The Agatha Christie novels had some beautiful covers that I'd never seen anywhere else before. The sci-fi section was also very quaint. The store had chairs that patrons could relax in as well. Very nice store

Such a lovely bookstore. All genres. Separate kids room and one for teens. Small but packs it all in. Loved it!!

Cosy and great for sci-fi, fantasy, and litfic (with great queer representation). Unfortunately most of the selection is 10-20% more expensive than other bookstores.

I really want to support my local bookshop - but when it both costs about twice as much AND takes on average 2+ weeks to order a book from them for pickup at their store vs ordering it online off Amazon - it can feel like a struggle.

Had a lovely experience here whilst in Stockholm. Very well stocked and I saw most of the bestsellers you'd find in London and other books such as romantasy/tiktol books. And the classics ofc! The non fiction section was incredibly organised and very topical. Thanks

Lovely bookshop with very helpful staff. They helped me out multiple times giving personal recommendations. I also love their recommendation book case. It’s a small store but fully stocked with a lot of different genres. And don’t miss the hidden YA area!

What a great balance in the selection. It has such breadth, but still felt very curated; you can come here to get a book you were looking for, but also if you’re hoping to find something new recommended to you. And I appreciate a place that takes a stance on real issues🍉🍉

The best bookshop in Stockholm! They've got all kinds of books including the penguin classics. I wanted to by every single book. Could stay there forever and will come back very soon.

I love love love this place. Nestled away in a lovely little section of Old Town, this tiny little jewel was a breath of fresh air. After months of Russia books stores, which seem to only carry Classics, trashy romance novels and mysteries, being able to pick up a copy of "To Kill a Mockingbird" for a friend who has never read it was a fun moment of normalcy. The owner is fantastically Swedish, nice, helpful, yet perfectly taciturn, he encourages you to browse quietly, answering questions when asked, but allowing the wonderfulness to speak for itself. I miss it already.

Perfect shop. It will have just the book you need, whether you need a good airplane read, books about Sweden in English, or advice - the owner is wonderful. He found the novel I could only describe, not name.
