We truly cannot say enough amazing things about The Estate at Florentine Gardens. From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of exceptional, and our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. Maria was an absolute pleasure to work with. So kind, responsive, and incredibly easy throughout the entire planning process. She made everything feel seamless and stress-free. Maria helped us craft the perfect menu and it did not disappoint. Our guests all said that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Sal Travis and his video team, Jesse and Tom, were amazing as well. Super professional, calming, and captured every moment beautifully without ever feeling intrusive. We have watched our wrap up video 100 times already we cannot stop watching it ! On the day of the wedding, we felt completely taken care of. Our bridal attendant Monica was incredible and made sure every detail was perfect, while our Maitre’D, Jeff, kept the entire event running flawlessly. Their attention to detail and genuine care meant we could truly relax and enjoy our day. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. Our wedding was on January 1st and the decor of the whole property was elegant, timeless, and immaculately maintained. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful everything was. We are so grateful to the entire team at Florentine Gardens for making our wedding unforgettable. There is truly not a single thing that we would have changed.

Despite being an hour late to our tour due to the GW Bridge, Sam welcomed us with open arms and immediately made us feel at home. Sam was incredible throughout the entire planning process, always giving off the ultimate “bestie vibes” and making us feel like we were in the most capable, caring hands. Every question, email, text, and phone call was answered with such thoughtfulness and attention—it was clear how much they genuinely care about their couples. We always felt included in the process while simultaneously having complete trust in our venue to bring our vision to life. The day-of coordination was seamless, and my wedding binder was an invaluable tool for our vendors. We fell in love with the ceremony space immediately—it is modern, timeless, open, and perfect for a beautiful, unforgettable celebration, all in one convenient location. Our cocktail hour was absolutely incredible—the food was to die for and seemingly never-ending, and the drinks flowed all night long. Every single staff member was kind, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish, making us and our guests feel completely cared for. The Estate at Florentine Gardens exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding venue. I can’t say enough good things about Florentine Gardens! My husband and I got married in September and we haven’t stopped talking about our amazing wedding since! The venue speaks for itself, it’s absolutely gorgeous. The bridal and grooms sites are spacious and have everything you need. Monica and Sofia (bridal attendants) were incredible. They were super attentive and detail oriented. From setting up the suites, steaming the bridesmaids dresses, to bringing out breakfast and lunch - they went above and beyond! They allowed us to fully enjoy our wedding day and not stress about the little things. Monica even sewed part of my wedding dress together and I didn’t even know it had broken! They were truly superstars. George (maitre d) was professional and kept us on time without adding stress to our day. He allowed the day to go smoothly and made sure everyone was where they needed to be. Denise is amazing and one of the reasons why we chose to have our wedding there. She helped us make hard decisions and answered all our questions. She was always going out of her way to make sure everything was perfect and how we pictured it! Sal Travis and his video team were unforgettable. We got countless compliments on our wrap up video the night of and got to spend such a beautiful memory of watching with our family and friends. Jessie and Tom (videographers) made the day flow effortlessly and made us feel comfortable and added no extra stress! DJ Tony Gia was the life of the party and an amazing MC. He was effective at getting people on the dance floor and keeping them there. He’s not like your typical DJ, he wasn’t just playing songs on a playlist. He transitioned songs and made fun mixes. He gave us his honest opinion about music choices and made our day so special! Our reception would not have been the same without him! The groom's mom is in a wheelchair and the venue was very handicap accessible/accomodating. The bridal suite bathroom was large enough to go in and out of in a wheelchair no problem. The service was impeccable. I can’t tell you how many compliments we got. My uncle who has difficulty using utensils was having a hard time eating dinner. The staff noticed and without being asked took his dinner, cut it up and replated it to make it easier for him. The food was the highlight of the night - I’m still thinking about the crab crusted salmon! Everyone was in awe of how good it was. We got tons of compliments thinking that the cocktail hour was dinner based on the selection and amount of food! It was the absolutely best night of our lives and we wouldn’t change a thing about it. We are attending a wedding there in September 2026 and we can’t wait to go back!

There is no shortage of wedding venues in New Jersey, but the Estate at Florentine Gardens operates on a completely different level. From the moment you step into the ceremony room and look up at that ceiling, you understand that this place was built for exactly this. The hand carved plasterwork, the towering arched windows flooding the room with light, the grand fireplace flanked by greenery… it is the kind of space that requires nothing extra because it is already everything. The garden is one of the most beautiful outdoor spaces we have photographed in. Manicured hedges, stone benches, and bursts of color everywhere make for portraits that look like they belong in a magazine. When the sun starts to go down and the golden hour hits those trees, it is genuinely hard to take a bad shot. And then the reception room at night? The chandelier alone is worth the price of admission. Candlelit tables, warm glowing windows with lit trees beyond the glass, a marble dance floor that reflects everything beautifully. It is the kind of room that photographs itself. If you are dreaming of something grand, timeless, and undeniably romantic, look no further.

If I was getting married this would be the venue I want my wedding and reception. Beautiful venue. The service was excellent. The wedding area was simple white marble and bright. Real violin and piano playing not recorded. The happy hour food was delicious. Everything was fresh. The drinks were great. Top shelf liquor. The reception area was a wow. The tables were elegantly decorated. The Dj and the MC kept the party moving and grooving. In the background the servers were moving glasses and plates seamlessly. Great place to have a wedding.

As a guest of the wedding party I only had a chance to see that point of view for this review. To sum up this business I would boil it down to simply spectacular service. Management was always present, overlooking everything going on and always checking in with the people that were the reason why all of us were there. They made the magic happen of being invisible and always available at the same time. Considering the state of the world at the moment with places being short-handed or manned by less than competent staff I would love to know how they manage to collect and keep a crew that worked with military precision. If you were away from the table, someone went around making your napkin AND the entire table look nice again. If the next course was called as being ready, people that were wired got the news and informed those without what to do. The entire crew would be engaged as one to come back and serve an entire room in what seemed to be the blink of an eye. No one, and I mean absolutely no one, was idle but at the same time it seemed that no one was rushing around trying to manage more than what one person should be able to handle. For this occasion, dessert was served table side as opposed to having guests get up. How staff were able to make rounds with the different selections as quickly as they did was amazing to watch. The food was flawless as well. Ordering the MISO GLAZED CHILEAN SEA BASS with Teryaki Beurre Blanc, I was surprised to receive an absolutely perfectly done dish. This is sometimes hard to accomplish made to order in a small setting, never mind at scale. I wish I could have seen more of the place to comment on the grounds. What I did see looked just as amazing as the service and from what I understand this is a one event location, so you will literally have the entire place to yourselves if you book here.

I attended a wedding at this venue, and it was so beautiful! The venue is so amazing and it was spacious. Also, it seemed like they offered a lot of services and special touches. The champagne before the ceremony started was such an amazing touch. The courtyard and the gardens where beautiful. The entire space is just so beautiful. The cocktail hour space with all of the food and drinks literally left me speechless. The service and the staff was so nice and respectful. The reception space was huge. I loved the projection screens, the shades on the ceiling to floor windows and once night time arrived they lifted the shades to the view of the trees that were decked out in lights. The cover over the bar when it was time for certain wedding productions. The food was great. The drinks were made well. The restrooms were clean. Also, the wedding team seemed as though they were on point with making sure the services were on point and on time. Such a wonderful experience and great space! Pictures do not do anything about this wedding and this venue any justice.

My only negative experience was the music at a wedding reception: it was brutally loud. The actually gave out ear plugs (which did not work because of the excessive volume). You could not talk and be heard by the other party. It was actually painful. Had to retreat to the hallway settle down and hear again.

The wedding was four months ago and I am still receiving phone calls on how beautiful the wedding was, how delicious the food was and how outstanding the service was!! After looking at 13+ venues, we are so thrilled we wound up at Florentine and cannot recommend this venue highly enough!!

The Estate at Florentine Gardens is top notch. To be frank- there is no other venue in the tristate area that provides the level of service that Florentine Gardens does. My sister got married there, which ultimately left me with a no- brainer when it came to making a decision for my own family. There are a few things that are important to my family - food - FOOD - food + service. people could not stop raving about how amazing {all of} the food was - and the service is impeccable. Do you know how hard it is to get restaurant quality food in a catering setting? And this venue is the only place I've seen it. Ciro- is amazing. I feel like I am a part of his family. Talk about top tier service. All of this without even mention about how GORGEOUS the grounds are. I love when you can tell a place takes pride in their own business - you can see it from the new ceremony space, to the detail in each room, to the trees and blue stone they picked out in the patio. 100/10 recommend. book your event there like yesterday.

The Estate at Florentine Gardens truly is such a beautiful venue, we couldn't be happier with our choice! The staff is so professional and does their best to make it an organized and beautiful affair. The gardens and ballroom are stunning. And the food is on another level, our guests loved the cocktail hour, entrees, and Viennese hour. Our bridal attendant, Kerry, was by my side the entire day. She is the sweetest person and made sure to help me with anything I needed. She kept me at ease as we navigated such a busy day! Jason was by our side throughout the entire booking and logistical process, was incredibly responsive, and was always happy to help us. We really appreciated his hard work. I can't recommend hiring Amanda Rae Event Styling (in house event styling services) enough. She helped me curate all of the details, from invitations to all the other little details in between, has incredible taste, and our event couldn't have been the success it was without her. She is so talented at what she does and we will miss working with her! We loved working with Sal Travis Entertainment (in house entertainment services). Sal is a true professional and is so passionate about giving couples an amazing day! Our wrap up video was so incredible (filmed by Evan) and we've rewatched it every day since our wedding. It captured so many beautiful moments. We've had so many people contact us after our wedding to tell us how much they loved our DJ, Tony Gia. He is the in house DJ. He took his time to understand exactly what we wanted. He played such a great mix of songs that got our wide range of guests of all ages up and dancing. The dance floor was never empty! Definitely would recommend hosting your wedding or other formal event here :)

"Brutally loud." I am echoing the words of another reviewer from April 2024. We attended a wedding there the previous month. Instead of walking into a calm environment that befitted the joyous occasion, we were assaulted with the sounds of 200 guests assembling. The sound literally bounced off the walls, creating a cacophony. We may as well have been in the subway! Same thing happened toward the end of the night when the DJ ramped up the music. Painfully loud, music does not make for a good time. We tried earplugs, but as the other reviewer reported, they offered no relief, so we dashed to the hallway. Also, in the main room, glass vases had been placed dangerously at the end of the aisles where guests were seated, and no surprise two of them broke. My son got married here last weekend and I can't say enough good things. From the gardens to the food to the theatrical aspects and the Amazing staff. It was the Best night of my life! The staff went above and beyond any expectations we had. My new daughter in law got a cramp in her foot and they massaged it for half an hour. The food was delicious and creatively displayed. There was so much of it and yes they sent leftovers home with us. Both families ate again and I had lunch for the week. Even the valets were thoughtful and would go to peoples cars to get their sweaters as the night went on. We used Sal and dj Tony Gea at the venue and everything was a well oiled machine. The dance floor was never empty! I truly can't say enough good things about lee and Sarah and cero. Thank you Florentine Gardens for making our Dreams come true!

Attending my brothers wedding at Florentine Gardens and helping him with some behind the scenes planning it was a pleasure working with EFG. Denise was very accommodating from day one when the couple did a tour of the venue. The beautiful venue itself was stunning, on top of all the details, the ceremony hall, outdoors space, bridal suite, live music, delicious food - were all just an added bonus. The staff was all so professional and helpful, just felt like a magical day. I couldn't have suggested a better wedding venue. Denise was always quick to answer if we had any questions and made everything smooth and easygoing. We're so grateful we could have experienced this beautiful day at this beautiful location. Beautiful venue. Everything was immaculate from start to finish. The cocktail hour was loaded with nicely prepared food. The roasted pork and prime rib were my favorite. They had all sorts of stuff and I always fill up on it before the reception. The dinner was good too. I had the short rib and it was prepared nicely. The only knock is I had horrible cellphone service so it was hard to get an uber home. The place is also massive you can fit as many people as you want comfortably in there. Fun spot!

What a beautiful venue! I came her for a work event and the place was absolutely beautiful! The best was the bridal suite, they redid the suite to look like a salon and was super easy to get 16 girls ready! The staff is also very amazing! Everyone was so pleasant and helpful! Def a great venue for a party or wedding! Only downside is the service is horrible

One of the worst experiences I've ever had. My fiancé and I went in for a tour and the man who showed us the venue was nice throughout the tour. When we went to the office to discuss pricing his attitude changed completely. We told the event planner, Jason, we could guarantee a certain number of guests, and the price per person that he offered was significantly higher than other neighboring venues. We then asked if the price could be lowered if we could guarantee more guests, and he responded by saying "I know how you Egyptians are, you always have way more people in your back pocket than you say." We had not previously mentioned our ethnicity, and for him to make an assumption about us because of our race is wildly inappropriate. We tried to ignore his extremely rude behavior and continue discussing wedding pricing options and he just said smugly "we'll talk again when you're ready", refused to discuss further, and then showed us out. It was extremely unprofessional, and to be judged based on our perceived ethnicity is truly disheartening.

I toured the venue today and it was a very unprofessional and unsafe experience. There are signs all over the place requiring people to wear masks, but none of the staff wore masks. When we arrived there was confusion about who was supposed to give us a tour. The owner eventually took us on a tour which he power walked through. He seemed completely uninterested, and the whole thing lasted about 5 minutes. I wasn't impressed with the venue or the staff. I could not picture having my wedding there. I also found their pricing of 22-25K (without taxes or gratuity) for a weekday wedding, with 100 guests, during low season, and without open bar or a ceremony to be unreasonable. The attendant actually told me to get in touch "if things changed or I found more money".

Had a wonderful experience at this venue. Beautifully decorated both inside and out. The ballroom that our event was in had glass windows and beautiful outside lighting which was a gorgeous enhancement to the room. Our event did not have a traditional dinner. Rather, we had an extended cocktail hour followed by dessert and cordials. The cocktail hour was nothing less than spectacular. The servers were super attentive and very nice. Along with passed appetizers, the room was filled with various stations. The raw bar had humongous perfectly cooked and chilled shrimp....yumm!!! Sushi was being made fresh and there were some very good selections. Pasta station had a few different selections of perfectly cooked pasta along with one of the tastiest polenta dishes I have had in a long time. Carving station had an amazing pork loin which I indulged in several times...lol. The dessert and cordials was also very nice. Each person was presented with a plate of 3 desserts while a cart of after dinner cordials made its way around the room. I would not hesitate in returning to The Estate and I would certainly look at having future events here.

I came here for a work Christmas party, and everything was superb! There is plenty of parking, and the grounds are spacious. The banquet hall was well decorated and gave off a luxurious vibe. The food was some of the best I've ever tried at a banquet hall. The appetizer array was fresh and artfully spread out. The hot hors d'oeuvres were ample and delicious. The steak with chimichuri sauce was my favorite part of the entire meal! The steak was tender, well cooked, juicy and flavorful. The sauce added an extra layer of intense flavor, and the whole thing was freaking wonderful. The staff was attentive throughout the night, and props to the bartenders for making strong drinks. It was a great night at a wonderful venue!

We just had a 100 person wedding reception at the Estates. From the moment we booked the reception to the night of the reception, everything was done with precision and the highest quality service. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the word estate is not just the name. The ball rooms were recently re-done and of the finest materials and standards. They only do one reception at a time and you will receive their undivided attention and service. We were given a tremendous selection of fine Food and appetizers. We had many specific requests and they were granted without hesitation. Their recommended vendors worked together like a finally tuned watch. The pricing was an excellent value for what we received. They are a family business and we felt like part of the family by the time the reception was over. All of our emails and phone calls were returned and answered right away. This was a low stress way to have a wedding. Just a beautiful venue and facility

I'm a grumpah. Catering halls bore me. My experiences working doubles at a catering hall in Queens when I was 16 must have left an indelibly negative impression. Catered food is usually institutional and the faux glamour of such places fades fast, like Donald Trump's spray on tan. OK. Got that out of the way. Now last night, Florentine hosted a fundraiser/high school sports banquet for about 50 youngsters (including our son), and we and a few dozen other parents came along to support them. For what it was, this venue worked (mostly) and the food was as expected. I was a little creeped out by the dour faced wait staff and plus sized maitre d's walking around with Secret Service comm gear, surveying the guests as if trying to sniff out a terrorist threat. Was this degree of surveillance really necessary for a Caspar Milquetoast suburban crowd like us? I know the gear is for timing service, but I have seen it done better with discreet hand signals. But my biggest issue here is with the room's acoustics. No music at this event, but plenty of amplified speeches. I know I'm getting on in years, but we were stone cold sober and none of us could distinguish the words. We heard folks talking -- but what they said ... that's another matter. Sucks -- especially if the whole idea is to appreciate the youngsters oratory skills, or at least hear why your child received an award. Perhaps an open bar would have helped. Oh well. The trials and tribulations of parenting teenagers. Buckle up Dorothy, because Kansas ... is going bye bye ....

Smaller than other caterers and out of the way, but very nice. I went to a party here on Super Bowl Sunday. It happened to be open bar, and I happened to get quite drunk. The drinks were well made, the staff was quick and courteous in taking finished drinks and plates. I walked around a little bit before the game, it's nice. I'm sure the outdoor gardens are much more comfortable in the spring.

My first time at The Estate at Florentine Gardens and I'm really impressed with such a nice banquet hall in the middle of a neighborhood. Service: The staff was very friendly to the attendees and well mannered. The place had ample employees around, but some reason it was still hard to get a glass of hot water. Food: The food wasn't what i would've thought it would be judging by the venue. They offered the steak two ways, medium or medium well. I like my steak rare to medium rare. The sea bass had some bones in them which was eh...I guess you can't really get them all. Decor: The place has ample grounds to take pictures at. The place was well decorated on the outside especially in the middle of the winter. The parking lot was lit with bright white Christmas lights to give that elegant appearance. I would definitely recommend this place to people planning weddings. I feel they have a lot to offer and can definitely make a wedding beautiful for the newly married.

For whatever reason, I go to about 4-5 weddings a year, no joke. This is one of my favorite halls. Everything from the grounds to the food and staff is wonderful. Their cocktail hour is absolutely delicious. Sushi, oysters, clams, Brie, pasta, you name it they can provide it and it is all so well prepared. The actual courses were okay... Crab cakes were a little fishy and salad was extremely dry. Salmon was good and the stuffed chicken was pretty good as well. I did hear someone say that their steak was dry. They also came around asking if anyone wanted seconds (second time I've been here and they asked that, which I think is great). The grounds are stunning. Beautiful windows across the entire hall, water fountain in the back, stunning lights everywhere. And at the end of each wedding the florentine puts together a slide show of the entire day for the bride and groom and is shown to everyone as the last thing of the night. Beautiful!!

Amazing!!!! This is the one word I can think of to describe my daughter and new son-in-law's wedding. From the day we met with Jason, we knew this was the place to celebrate this union. Not only did Jason and his team deliver, but every detail was executed with precision. Jason and his team are beyond wonderful. They did everything to make their day perfect and it was. Sheyla was the bridal attendant and stuck to my daughter until we were leaving and Jeff kept the wedding party organized and ensured everything ran smoothly. I can probably fill up 5 more pages detailing what an outstanding team The Estate at Florentine Gardens has, but I will end it with this... a wedding venue can make or break your special day, no matter what your budget is, but this venue brought my daughters dream wedding to life. I attended my cousins wedding last night and this place was amazing. I walked into the ballroom and literally said Wow! They recently renovated and it is beautiful! Besides that, the food and staff were great!! They were attentive and friendly. One of the best weddings I've been too, all around.

We got married Sunday, May 31. 2015. There was rain. No, not just rain. Torrential downpour and flooding in several parts of New Jersey. I was expecting it to rain and prepared myself for it so I didn't stress about mother nature because I knew we would all be fine inside the stunning Florentine Gardens. Here's how a day that could have gone terribly wrong, didn't, because of the complete professionalism and expertise of the staff at The Estate. We worked with Jason Gentile. When we arrived, Jason brought us and our bridal party (20 people including parents) directly upstairs to a conference room. Maria Daidone immediately found my husband and I and brought us to her office. She was very straightforward and told us the rain had come down so fast and hard, that the pipes could not handle draining the water from the cocktail hour roof. Two feet of water had collected there. The Fire Marshall informed the Estate that it would be unsafe to have anyone in the room but Maria told us not to worry. Fortunately, our food was not affected and the staff began immediately setting up stations in the entrance and hallway. Luckily, it was such a big space, our 200 guests fit just fine. It was all set up in time for everyone's arrival and no one knew the difference. Our Bridal Party also had to stay in the conference room because some water had seeped into the lower level where our original Bridal Suite was. Even though the room was small for us, it all worked out. We had music blasting, food stations brought up and a constant flow of drinks being brought to us. The staff did everything they could to accommodate every one of our requests. We ended up taking our pictures in the room and believe it or not, they came out beautiful- cozy and almost godfather-esque due to all the mahogany furniture and leather couches. Since, we also chose to have an after party in the cocktail room our time in the ballroom was extended instead. I think in the end it turned out better than if we had been moved to the cocktail room because the ceilings were so high and with the lighting, it really gave a nightclub feel. Also, the chicken wings and sliders were amazing! Most of our 200 guests we have spoken to since the wedding have not stopped raving about the endless food (cocktail hour, entrees, a second round of entrees, the four mini plated desserts, after party snack foods) then of course, the stunning chandeliers, top shelf open bar and the great music. Sal Travis was wonderful to work with. He was in constant communication with us, answered every question through e-mail quickly and even threw in an edited DVD that night of our wedding because of all the rain. The day could have been a disaster. I am sure that if we had chosen another venue, they would not have been prepared enough to control the situation and make it seem like everything was going according to plan. To top it all off, the owner was generous enough to reimburse us some money for any complications the weather may have caused us. We are so thankful to everyone at the Estate, Jason, Sal, Maria but more so, the staff behind the scenes. If we had to do it all over again, under the same circumstances, we would still pick The Estate at Florentine Gardens. It's such a classy and elegant venue with the business know-how to back it up. Florentine Gardens is tucked away through gorgeous winding roads full of lush greenery. When you open the door, you're greeted with a stunning chandelier and piano in the lobby. If you're fortunate, you're greeted by Jason Gentile, my right hand man throughout my wedding. I truly believe the man never sleeps. At any time, weekday or weekend, he is answering my emails with lightning speed. I joke around when I don't hear from him in over a day, I'm concerned something has happened to him :). Florentine offers you the best of both worlds - a beautiful, lush outdoor area with plenty of different areas full of fountains, domes, walkways and columns for pictures as well as a luxurious, high-ceiling grand ballroom donned with multiple chandeliers, tall gorgeous windows and a wonderful balcony overlooking the entire scene (from which come beautiful pictures and the ultimate bouquet toss!). Perfect for both day and night weddings. The massive cocktail hour room comes with live musicians and two ice sculptures. The bridal and groom suites are the biggest and best I've seen. Private bar and buffet tables so you can enjoy your cocktail hour with your besties. Flat screen TV's, private make up rooms and even a shower! The grand lobby comes with a gorgeous life-size bouquet. Live music also comes with ceremonies. What sealed the deal for me was entering the ceremony area and seeing the gorgeous dome surrounded by never-ending trees. Second helpings of the main entrees are provided to every guest (no one will be able to accept after their massive cocktail hour). Want to feel like you're floating on a cloud on your wedding day? They literally, can make that happen. Live streaming from their projectors ensure everyone's got the best seat in the house. As massive as this venue is, it is structured to still feel incredibly intimate and modern. Customized ice sculptures, live musicians and you won't even break the bank but will sure look it. Ask for Jason!

My family and I went to The Estate at Florentine Gardens for a wedding we attended, and overall, I felt it was a very pretty venue, but forgettable. As the reception was held here, there was a lot of progression from room to room. The champagne cocktail hour was a bit cramped and there weren't enough servers for demand, but it was a good way to arrive. The cocktail hour itself was sumptuous and completely overdone, but that was a reflection on the wedding couple and not really of The Estate at Florentine Gardens. The event space for that cocktail hour was adequate, especially for how much food there was. The actual event space was very ornate and luxurious. However, my table was right next to the band area, and so the positioning of the speaker system literally rattled my head and I had to switch my seat because I couldn't even hear my own thoughts. I feel that's a problem with this event space, because it wasn't jampacked with tables, but the space couldn't adequately handle tables next to the band area. It's assumed that there's a band at any wedding, so that is an issue with this place. The after party was kind of lame. The dance space was very small, and the dance floor somewhat came apart. Not great. Another random issue I have this place is it is in the middle of nowhere. Still now, I have no idea what city I was in. I was put on shuttle from the hotel driven here and driven back. So really, I don't know why I would "choose" this place for a wedding place, because I cannot differentiate it from any other random ballroom. That's why I said earlier that displaces forgettable, because all I knew was that I was in northern New Jersey at an event space. There are tons of those, and so I don't really see the point of this place over any other place closer to an actual city. This place is far in the middle of nowhere.

We had our wedding at The Florentine Gardens on May 5, 2019. Choosing this venue was the best decision we could have made. From the second we stepped foot on the property to the day after our wedding when we picked up all of our belongings (and even through today), Maria and the team at The Florentine made us feel welcomed and appreciated. We looked at many venues just to get an idea of what was around in the area. As sad as it is in 2019, not every venue is welcoming and accommodating to a same-sex couple like Maria and the team here was. Maria worked closely with us to make sure every detail was met and was always making sure we were satisfied and that there was nothing the venue could do to improve. On our wedding day, everyone went above and beyond to make sure that our expectations were exceeded. We were checked on regularly by Maria and management. We had the privilege of having Laila as our attendant, which was a dream come true. Laila was with us from start to finish and was there for us with ANYTHING we needed. She is a saint and we wish that everyone could be as lucky as us to have her as their attendant. There was a point when our florist was late and our photos were being held up (not Florentine's fault) and Laila saw how stressed we were getting. Laila asked us how she could help and offered to make boutonniere's while we waited for the ones we ordered. Within minutes Laila was back with beautiful pieces that we were able to use in order to start our photos. We could go on and on about all she did for us throughout the day. Throughout the rest of the night Laila catered to us so much and we felt like true celebrities. Part of the reason why we will always have such fond memories of this day is because of you, Laila- so thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you did. We do not regret anything about our wedding day and we highly recommend that you check out this venue if you are looking for a stellar time. I had my wedding this summer and it was absolutely breath taking. Everything came out exactly how I wanted it and they recently did some upgrades to the grounds and the flowers were completely bloomed. Florentine Gardens is perfect for someone who is looking to have a large but intimate wedding. I chose the location because I wanted a romantic ambience without all the old ugly carpets most nj venues have. Food and staff are also extremely friendly and helpful all along the way.

I had a wedding here the other day and I have to say, I was VERY impressed with this place! The cocktail hour was spectacular. One of my favorite things was the wine and cheese bar, they had about 5-6 different types of red and white wine and 6+ different types of cheese. They also had a table with a variety of cold and hot appetizers, a mashed potato bar, pastas, and fresh meats. They had at least 5 different tables of food, and everything was delicious. I never had an issue getting a drink at the bar as the bar was never super crowded, which was nice. After an hour or so, we were lead into the hall where they band was playing. Five hours went by, and I didn't even realize it. The band was awesome and they had everyone up and dancing the entire time. I was told by the bride that when you book the Estate for a wedding, they offer the band to you, I'm glad my gf said yes. I have never been at a wedding where every single person was dancing the entire time! For dinner they give you a salad, which was okay, nothing to rave about, and a choice of chicken, lamb or halibut (from what I recall). I had the halibut, which I thought was really good, especially for a wedding. It was a delicious crunchy piece of fish that came with some fingerling potatoes. The service was great. The waiter, Gerard, definitely took care of me. He kept asking me if I needed anything. For desert, they came by with a plate of 4 different mini desert, and some of the wedding cake. I also asked for a cappuccino, which he quickly brought for me. I went for a day wedding, so when we walked in we saw the huge beautiful windows and the beautifully manicured lawns, when we walked in, then they shut the blinds after a few minutes, and let the party get going! I missed the reception, which was a bit of a bummer as the landscaping is beautiful here. My only minor gripe with this place is that no one offered to valet my car, maybe because it was a day wedding, and there weren't too many cars there. In any case, this is one of my favorite wedding halls to date. It's a bummer the closest hotels are 15-20 minutes away, but it is in Upper Bergen County. In any case, I would highly recommend this place.

Very beautiful and spacious special events venue with SO much to offer in terms of food, packages, rooms, etc. I came as a guest and not a planner so I cannot comment about the interaction and planning process, but the event execution was very nicely done. Cocktail hour had about 10 different food stations set up (both hot and cold): raw bar, pasta, carved meats, sushi and sashimis, etc. On top of that, there were also the passed hors d'eurves (I'd recommend saving your appetite for these instead because they're fresher). The coconut shrimps were so crunchy and perfectly spiced with the pineapple dipping. Reception dinner was pretty good. We had kale soup, mushroom cucumber salad, Chilean sea bass (my choice, you could've also chosen from beef, chicken and a vegetarian meatloaf option). The kale soup was pretty good - not a creamy base, but a liquified potato texture. Mushroom cucumber salad was VERY refreshing and a perfect supplement before your main dish. The Chilean sea bass cut like butter and was the absolute highlight of my night. By this point, I had already eaten enough for about 5 grown adults, but I made room for this piece of fish because it was just. that. good. Now onto desserts ... holey-moley, they should not have named it Viennese hour, but World of Heavenly Sweets instead. Portuguese natas, cannolis, crepes, bananas foster, brownies, cookies, tarts, fresh fruits ... I got a real sugar high just from looking at the options. You have to leave some sort of room for their dessert hour. You'd be doing yourself an injustice if you didn't at least leave room for a few bites. My favorite part of dessert was the crepes with Nutella and then topped with bananas foster (yeah, that's right --- I know how to eat). The crepes are made in a pan versus that flat surface you normally see, but it tastes just as darn good and they are very generous with the Nutella and toppings. Well, there you have it folks. Florentine Gardens in a nutshell is just awesome :).

The food is absolutely horrible. The wait staff looks like they just showed up in someone else's clothes after a long night. I hope I never have to go back again.

Tom and his family of exceptional professionals run, without a doubt, the BEST venue for any large party, in my case my daughter Samantha and now Son in law Tyler's wedding. This past Sunday evening was a night for my family and my many close friends to remember for a very very long time. The food, every morsel, was perfect. The service is unsurpassed in every way. The building and decorating is impeccable. They just didn't miss a single detail on way to making this night the most enjoyed could have imagined. GREAT thanks to Tom, his family, staff and especially Sal. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU !!!

This is a very nice place for a wedding. Very private and I think we were the only party there. There was an upstairs but I think that is the private room for the bride. The outdoor was beatuiful. It had this little doom and surrounding us was very large tall trees. I think it can cater up to 500+ ppl. To bad this location is near the transit train. I heard the train passing by when the ceremony was going on. (***) The cocktail hour was by far the best. I don't think they put to much alcohol in it because it was an open bar, but the drinks we're delicious. If your into sour drinks then they don't have to much selections. Also, i requested pickleback shots and they didnt have it. The calamari was the best and I think their sauce was home made. Everything was really fresh. It was a bit small for a party of 300. I had to stand why eating which was hard because I had a drink in another hand. So instead of cutting into the steak I just put it all in my mouth...way to be classy, but I had to. (****) They had a huge dance floor and the view of the little doom I was talking about. Beautiful chandelier right in the center of the room. I had the steak and had it cooked medium and it was very tender and soft. I know your not suppose to use sauce for your steak, but I'm a saucy kinda person so I was relying on the natural juice of the steak and I thought it was a bit bland. I like my steak a bit crispy on the outside and tender instead and they really didn't have the crispy part. I think the dessert was the best. Had this chocolate lava and creme bulee and yes I had seconds because it was that good. (****) The service was amazing. There was valet parking and each table had their own cater. I think there was also security guards too. The bartenders was also very friendly. (*****) The bathrooms were super clean and classy. They had a powder station too. (*****)

Having our wedding at Florentine Gardens was One of the BEST wedding decisions we made! I trusted them from moment 1... and I was never let down! Our wedding this past weekend was absolutely perfect ! First of all the food was delicious , came out steaming hot and soooo much variety . The drinks were flowing all night and the service was amazing. This family owned venue works with you on so many levels to make your event exactly How you want it to be! If you want your family and friends to rave about your wedding and especially the Cocktail hour then make FG your choice. Ciro, Maria, Tom, Jason and everyone are sooo helpful ! Attended an event here today and have to say it was awful. Food was inedible...no exaggeration! In what realm is port wine sauce the color of carrot juice??? Service, with the exception of Elizabeth (she was great) was horrible...waitstaff asking us to clean off the table to make room for their "so called pastry tray " when asking for additional tea/coffee mugs and a tea option our "so called server" walked away and never came back! I have heard the FG is closing to revamp...I think they should concentrate on food and customer service....may help‍‍

AMAZING! We want to thank the entire staff at The Florentine Gardens. In this time of trouble and uncertainty. Unfortunately our wedding has been postponed. We completely understand and agree with the decision that has been made. This decision was made by people in very high authority and is a wise move. With this being said Tom the owner and Denise our event coordinator have been hands on with us, very approachable and very forthcoming on information. This has made our transition extremely smooth even though it happened very fast. With the help of Tom, Denise and their entire support staff we were able to re-book our own support staff (Photo, Video, Florist, Lighting, Decorator) They all helped us make phone calls and lock in on an appropriate date. Even in a time of trouble and unknown factors the Florentine Gardens - Stands up, Backs up, and Follows through on their promise. My Fiance is relieved and happy. This is the most important thing to me. We truly truly Thank Everyone for speaking the Truth to us and being up front. Also for making our change as unexpected as it was an easy one. On Friday January 31, I was at a sweet 16 party. The place, ( ambiance, decor, cleanliness) 5 stars. The food 4 stars. The service 5 stars the reason for the 3 star review is there was a service manager yelling at the staff while the food was being served. Terrible manners, not sure maybe he is family... but he needs to be talked to and a decision about putting him in front of the public needs to be made. The waitress(s) wanted to cry. Not sure I would ever book a party or go back.

I was in a wedding band for seven years and the switched to DJ and have been to many, many wedding venues. We had our Daughter's wedding here this weekend and it is the best venue I've been to. Cocktail hour is amazing, although I missed a good portion of it. Raw bar, martini bar with ice sculpture, huge spread of food, I could have just stayed in that room all day LOL. The sit down meal servers are incredible to every detail with dinnerware and service. Jeff did an outstanding job with organizing & instructing the wedding party. So many guests complimented the venue. We couldn't ask for a better experience, Thank You!!!

The Estate at Florentine Gardens exceeded our expectations. My granddaughter had a bat mitzvah at Florentine Gardens in November 2019, and every aspect of the affair was executed beautifully. From the religious service that was held there to the cocktail hour to the main event, all went seamlessly. In addition to the superb service from each worker at our celebration, the family had a special server, Isabella, who took care of anything we needed. She was invaluable! Each course was delicious and presented perfectly. We even had the mother of a child call us the next day to say she heard from the kids it was the best food ever! If you're looking for perfection, Florentine Gardens is as close as you will get!

If you are getting married or holding an event, there really is no other choice than Florentine Gardens. From the first time we walked in, my now husband and I knew it was perfect for us and hoped that we could have our wedding there. Our initial meeting started with a walkthrough of the beautiful grounds. It really is breathtaking. And I also liked that it wasn't right on the highway - not too far but not on a busy street. We then discussed that a Saturday afternoon wedding would be a good fit for us price-wise and it was the best decision we made! If you are not so sure about having a daytime wedding, call me.. Seriously. We had the most beautiful, sunny day and all of our guests enjoyed the daytime and the price was right for the same impeccable service, delicious food and more. Our wedding coordinator was Denise and she was MADE for this career! I emailed Denise probably 1000 times and she always was extremely responsive and helpful. The actual day was like clockwork. The entire staff was extremely wonderful, helpful and if there were any bumps, no one knew about it. The bridal suite is huge and provided us with our cocktail hour food which was amazing. Our guests even told us they wish they can get remarried at Florentine! Everyone was extremely impressed when the wait staff came out and offered seconds! They also packed up all of the extra food that wasn't eaten and we had it later that night at the hotel. You're not going to get the attention to detail and thoughtfulness anywhere like at Florentine Gardens. On a side note, they have a separate "lighting and dramatics" package which wasn't for us and we didn't need it either, especially being that we would never want to ever close those beautiful windows. I highly recommend The Estate at Florentine Gardens. I truly hope I can be a guest one day and experience it all again. Thank you all so much for making our wedding beyond perfect!

Unprofessional staff for large events. I've coordinated several events from weddings to funerals at many venues, and coordinating a medium sized wedding at this location was nearly a nightmare due to certain specific management staff. From open contempt to the rolling of eyes from the maitre d', certain people have no business in the running of an operation such as this. Hearing open yelling and berating at staff members is totally uncalled for. The location is decent for outdoor weddings. The lighting is not the best conditions for professional photographers indoors; there are many dark and ill lit areas. The food is okay to a bit below par. The wait staff could not seem to get the orders right for the entree orders. The cocktail and venesse hours are okay. There are many other estate venues in the Bergen area that are comparable in price and providing better customer service and food. Hence my 2-star, "Meh, I've experienced better," rating. Note: Only decent staff member was the bridal attendant Nancy.

Ciro and the entire team at florentine gardens are so sweet and accommodating. They truly go above and beyond for their clients. The renovations they just did are absolutely stunning and the food is amazing. Florentine is truly the best wedding venue in New Jersey. We are so excited for our wedding this spring!!

We had our wedding at the Florentine this past Sunday, 3 June. When the team at the Florentine told us not to worry about a thing, and the event will be wonderful, their word is gold. The Florentine had one objective that day - to make our wedding spectacular, and they did as they said. From the day we signed with the Florentine, Jason continually collaborated with us, and guided us in every step of the way in planning the event. The team accommodated every special request, and were so kind in handling all our last-minute changes. The entire event went well beyond our expectations, it was perfect. From the moment we arrived, the ceremony in the beautiful garden, through cocktail and reception; the team at the Florentine meticulously coordinated every detail and ensured we, the bridal party and our guests were taken care of and treated as if we were celebrities. We enjoyed every minute of our celebration. The food was amazing, and the attentiveness of the staff and the service was second to none. During the event, so many of our guests commented on how beautiful the Florentine is, and how delicious the food was, and highly impressed with the service. This entire week, our families and friends are still calling and texting just to say how impressed they were. For entertainment, we booked the in-house team - Sal Travis Entertainment. Sal and his team (Shar and James) were fantastic. We selected the entertainment package which included DJ, lighting, smoke effect for the first dance, wrap-up video, etc. Sal was a pleasure to work with - we had many (many) last minute changes and special requests. For the ceremony we wanted certain music to be played by the flutist and pianist. We provided Sal the sheet music and he ensured the musicians played these special songs during the ceremony. During the cocktail hour, the musicians played Latin jazz per our request. Sal ensured our guests were entertained the entire evening - from video presentations to his special way of keeping the party going on the dance floor. The entertainment for the entire evening was so well coordinated that our guests commented this was not like a typical reception, it was truly an event and a show they never experienced before. The lighting effects and sound was perfect. Sal's team produced a video montage, and wrap-up video for us that chronicled the entire day from getting ready at our parent's (for the bride), through the ceremony and reception - and then towards the end of the reception, the video was played for us and our guests - it was amazing, all done on-site at the Florentine! If you have your event at the Estate at Florentine Gardens (and you should!), don't waste your time looking outside to other vendors for your entertainment and videography - do yourself a favor and go with Sal. There are few times that everything works out perfectly, however our wedding was one of those exceptions! Cocktail Hour, Dinner, & Dessert- the cocktail hour was beyond amazing. We had almost every station imaginable and each one was perfectly executed. Sometimes with large parties ours in particular with a guest list of 250 people it's hard to manage everything, but Florentine did a superb job. Every station was a beautiful presentation with fresh delicious food to accompany it! The dinner was brought out to each table at the right time and each dish was excellent! Just when I didn't think they could top it, it was on to dessert! The dessert trio, Palermo's cake, and passed desserts was out of this world. Presentation and Customer Service- every single person we encountered at Florentine could not have been more helpful or accommodating. From our initial visit to booking to finally enjoying our wedding I can't possible begin to describe all the amazing things that were done for us! Everyone was so friendly and truly bent over backwards to ensure not only we were satisfied but each one of our guests. Sal Travis Entertainment- our entire day was being filmed by an amazing videographer coordinated by Sal himself. Each presentation was better than the next. It was truly amazing how great each video was considering they didn't have much time to put it together! We went home that night with multiple videos that recreated our entire night. To sum up the evening and I don't just say this because it was my own wedding it was truly an amazing experience and one that I will constantly recreate in my mind for years to come. I would recommend this venue to anyone who asked and my only regret now is that it's over because if possible I would do it all over again and not change a thing!
