The Europe Hotel & Resort in Killarney is simply outstanding. From the moment you arrive, you’re surrounded by peace, comfort, and incredible views of the lakes and mountains. The setting is breathtaking — it feels both luxurious and completely connected to nature at the same time. My room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a balcony overlooking the lake. Waking up to that view was unforgettable. The staff were professional, warm, and always ready to help, adding to the overall feeling of calm and care that defines the hotel. The spa is one of the best I’ve experienced in Ireland, with an indoor-outdoor infinity pool overlooking the lake — my absolute favourite feature. Swimming there while taking in the stunning scenery is an experience you won’t forget. The spa also includes saunas, relaxation areas, and everything you need to truly unwind. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of fresh, local ingredients, and dinner at the restaurant was equally impressive — delicious food served with attention to detail. Whether you’re visiting for a relaxing getaway, a romantic weekend, or to explore Killarney National Park, The Europe Hotel & Resort is a destination in itself. Elegant, peaceful, and perfectly managed — a true five-star experience that lives up to its reputation.

Just back from another 2 night stay at the Europe Hotel. From start to finish, the whole stay was first class. The hotel itself is a fantastic building with excellent facilities. The grounds outside are kept immaculate and the walks to the lake have the some of the best scenery in the country. We even spotted a herd of deer on the golf course. The leisure centre is one of the highlights with its outdoor heated jacuzzi pool looking out over the lake and mountains. The bars and restaurants serve excellent food and drinks. Above all, the staff are the hotels best asset. They are friendly and welcoming and go above and beyond to make your stay the best possible experience. Mondays and Thursdays have brilliant music in the main bar.

What a great hotel. It’s a large hotel but beautifully kept. Our room with a view of the lake was gorgeous. We were blessed with gorgeous weather during our stay which helped. The spa was perfect with a view of the lake. Breakfast was a real highlight - we stayed at Adare Manor and Ashford Castle during the rest of our trip and I think the Europe omelettes beat them hands down !!!! All staff were great. Particularly the concierge who ensured we had a great car parking space every day. Thank you. We will definitely return.

Google
The Europe never disappoints! The staff are so warm and friendly, while still being professional. The setting is stunning and the hotel is so comfortable. We enjoyed all of our meals, in particular breakfast, such a lovely relaxed experience with a great selection of quality produce and stunning views.|Service is excellent, special mention for Andrea who served us in The Brasserie, Alena at breakfast and Jacinta in Riva. |Looking forward to returning!

Google
We visited the restaurant — it’s in a beautiful location with a lovely view of nature. However, it was quite noisy inside, both in the restaurant and in the leisure centre. The vegan options on the menu were limited, but the dessert was absolutely fantastic. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the desserts and the view. Still, for anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful stay, this might not be the right place, as it can be quite busy and loud.

Google
We recently stayed at The Europe Hotel in Killarney. On arrival, we were warmly greeted by the concierge, check-in was smooth, and our room was ready an hour early. The room was beautiful, with a great view and had plenty of amenities. The pool and spa facilities were fantastic as always, busy due to mid-term, but still comfortable and well managed. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, our experience at The Brasserie completely let the stay down. When checking in, we were told no booking was needed. We arrived at 6:45 p.m. and were advised of a 1 hour 45 minute wait, which ultimately turned into a 3 hour wait and we weren’t seated until 9:45 p.m. Never in my life have I witnessed this in any restaurant or hotel, let alone a five-star one. It left us shocked and frustrated and put a complete dampener on the stay. A special mention to the bar staff, who did their best to lift spirits and look after guests while many were frustrated with the restaurant delays.

Google
This hotel is fantastic, every member of staff is friendly, respectful and just can’t do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast was amazing, so much choice and again the staff were excellent. The cleanliness of the hotel is extraordinarily, everything is spotless, the bedrooms are comfortable, spacious and immaculate. Definitely worth a stay, Killarney town is just a 10 min drive away, what more could you want

Google
We stayed one night last week, the room was lovely with a great lake view. We enjoyed an hour in the spa, which was top class, especially the indoor/outdoor pool. Breakfast was such a great experience, the staff were exceptional, so welcoming and attentive and the quality and range of food was excellent - not to mention the view from the Panorama Restaurant which was breathtaking.

Yelp
Oh My....We spent the afternoon at the gorgeous Europe Hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. We decided to have lunch & it was a fabulous experience. The staff were amazing in that they could not do enough for us. Our lunch was delicious, not hurried in any way. We had several glasses of wine and were able to relax & converse opposite very large windows looking out into the beautiful views. It will not be our last visit to the Europe Hotel. Do not miss.

Yelp
We unfortunately didn't get a chance to stay here as our itinerary could only afford one night, but the hotel requires a 2 night minimum. We did get to have drinks in the lounge and dine at Panorama, both delightful experiences. No reservations could be made, so we showed up and put our names in for an hour wait. We found several snug spots to hang out while waiting and grabbed comfortable chairs in a lounge where we were immediately greeted by a very nice and accommodating server. We enjoyed some snacks (he even ensured the crisps were gluten-free and safe for me), and the drinks were excellent. Our table was ready on time, and we were seated by what probably was a spectacular window view, but while waiting for our table, the sun had set. While it was pitch black out, the restaurant itself was very elegant to look at. Also, our server was attentive and helpful with ordering gf. I had the monkfish and risotto, which turned out to be one of my favorite meals of the trip. Friends had French onion soup and salad, fish n chips, and a steak. Everything was excellent. Just wish we could have stayed as guests to enjoy the view, but highly recommended.

Yelp
Visited for lunch with friends yesterday, as always wonderful bright reception area , excellent hospitable staff and delicious food . At the Bistro restaurant I chose beef short ribs , they were exquisite, kudos to the chef and its presentation. My guests choices were equally satisfying, everything was spot on . I highly recommend this delightful restaurant with such beautiful vistas of the Killarney Lakes .

Yelp
One of my favorite places to stay in Killarney. This hotel is truly a beautiful masterpiece. It's located in Ireland and tucked away near the mountains. There's no bad view possible in this hotel. The restaurant is also five stars and I could eat here any day of the week. The spa includes a massive pool, hot tubs indoor and outdoor, a steam room, a sauna, and ice bath. Everyone in the hotel is so friendly and really want to help you. The service is amazing. Don't forget that the property is massive and there's trails to walk around and enjoy the scenery and flowers. If you want to celebrate a special occasion this is the place to do it

Yelp
The views of this place are 10/10. However the service is as low as you could ever ask for from the overnight staff. One person in particular, let's call him napoleon (real name he refused to give and simply said he was in charge) successfully for us and our group ruined the trip! One night upon returning to the hotel completely off the time zone, we called down to order room service. Nobody answered, upon walking to the lobby, Napoleon was interrupted from whatever show he was watching and acted as though my request of room service was the most complex request in human history. He insisted I go to my room and room service would then call me. Napoleon himself calls me a few minutes later to ask what I want. Tells me the only thing available is a sandwich. I say great and ask what the sandwich is. Napoleon tells me it's a chicken sandwich but if I want it, it's a 45 minute or more wait, because they are so busy (absolute lie). While displeased with this answer, I am content. The time goes by and I am delivered a LITERAL cheese and white bread sandwich! I call to complain and Napoleon AGAIN acts as though my request is completely out of line. I tell him this is 100% not what was order. He huffs and puffs and says in another 30 minutes they can correct it. The correction... white bread again, no cheese, and about 1/8 of a cold split chicken breast. This guy has no clue whatsoever what customer service is or what it means to run a luxury property. If Napoleon is ever let go, I might believe that the European is a hotel worth visiting. But without question I will never ever come back until he is fired.

Yelp
I've wanted to go to The Europe for YEARS now, but between one thing and another both occasions I had it booked had to be cancelled. So I was quite excited to see what all the fuss was about on my recent mini break... and I can tell you, it doesn't disappoint! We were greeted by really friendly staff and eagerly had a look around the lobby area... it's pretty stunning to look straight out to the lakes and mountains while having a read of the papers. We booked an overnight package of room, bed, breakfast and dinner in a Classic Double at €380.00. While the website says these rooms offer "windows overlooking the garden and with restricted views of the lake" we had amazing views so I'm not sure if we just got lucky or if we were upgraded to the Lakeside View rooms - either way, I wasn't complaining :) After settling in and unpacking we decided to take a wander down to the highly acclaimed spa area. While we didn't have any treatments booked I was super excited for the outdoor jacuzzi, even the crazy cold temperatures couldn't deter me! I've visited some lovely hotels with pretty fab spa areas like, but this was most definitely my favourite... everything was just perfection. Laying in the outdoor pool in hot bubbling water looking up at the snow capped mountains was special. We spent a couple of hours there, in and out of the pools and sauna etc then headed back to our room to chill out for a bit before dinner. The hotel is equally as stunning in the evening time, with plenty of little areas to sit and have a chat over a drink. Dinner included in the package was served in the Panorama Restaurant, which also has views out to the lakes and mountains. Unfortunately, it being late evening, it was pitch black outside so we had to make do with looking at each other :-) The food was superbly presented and extremely tasty... the selection of desserts was the high point for me, although between the two of us after all the food we couldn't manage to polish it all off! We went back to the bar for a couple of glasses of wine but having made pigs of ourselves felt tired and full so headed off to bed! Breakfast the next morning was also served in the Panorama restaurant, although with such a large amount of guests they had opened it out to allow for the two breakfast serving areas. A bright and beautiful view greeted us and made for a pleasant breakfast experience, along with the buffet breakfast and eggs made to order. After check out we had a short walk around the grounds to soak in the last of the beauty. Our stay in The Europe was perfect and all too brief as we set off to explore another area and stay elsewhere... secretly wishing we'd stayed two nights here! If you are looking for a real treat weekend in a stunning setting then The Europe is without doubt somewhere you should stick right at the top of your list!

Yelp
Amazingly gorgeous hotel! The view from any window in the hotel is breathtaking! The rooms are great, very nice amenities. The food in the restaurants are delicious, a great selection to pick from as well. If you are deciding on where to stay, you cannot miss this place!!

Yelp
Gorgeous hotel near Killarney but far away enough from all tourist madness to let you have peace and relaxation. The food is excellent and the spa and views even better. The breakfast is to die for with more selections than you can imagine. The views of the lake are available from every corner of this lovely property and once you're here you don't see the need to leave. Highly recommended.

Yelp
What can I say? I love, love, love the Europe! I am a student so staying here is currently out of the question but any time I'm in the area I love to drop in for lunch. It is a truly 5 star hotel from the decor, location, staff, to the food. The last time I visited I had the tempura prawns and a side of fries. The prawns are delicious, melt in the mouth as tempura should be. While the food is reasonably priced for the setting beverages including sparkling water, tea and coffee, and wine are all charged at 5 star prices. This is in no way a complaint as it is a luxurious five star hotel, it is just something to be aware of as they are somewhat hidden charges if you don't get it consult a drinks menu! I love it here, I will hopefully be back soon.

Yelp
Having a reputation for being somewhat of a tough critic (well at least by my wife), today I've been persuaded otherwise. Europe hotel is one of the finest I've been at for years. The service is immaculate with spotless decor, prefect for an obsessive compulsive like myself. Yet the staff are very friendly and helpful, well fit for the famous Kerry hospitality. We got the lake view suite room, which is well worth the extra few euro. If you're coming to Killarney try and stay if money is not much of an issue you'll be well impressed.

Yelp
This hotel is incredible and situated in such a beautiful location. The service here has been incredible and the people are so friendly. The food at the restaurants is also outstanding. I would definitely stay here again if in the Killarney/Kerry County area. The rooms are newer and modern. Only negative I would mention is that there doesn't seem to be AC in the rooms. I think this is likely because the weather doesn't normally get that warm, but it's definitely been a bit muggy for us. I traveled here with a broken foot and my friend accidentally picked up someone else's luggage and they've been so eager to help me and helped us work out a way to get her luggage without having to drive all the way back to the airport. Incredible service!!

Yelp
This hotel is one of the finest hotels you will stay anywhere in the world. The service is impeccable and the facilities are fantastic. You must make a reservation to the spa. The ESPA is second to none!

Yelp
One of the nicest hotel grounds I've seen. Not only was the service impeccable but they have their own horse stables with beautiful horses to pet at your leisure, lakes for days that you can dock from and an amazing spa! If you are looking for a beautiful scenery and relaxation this place is it. I am totally coming back!

Yelp
Just on the road back to Dublin after a wonderful two days in the Europe hotel. We went for an "experience" package, which included bed, breakfast, dinner on one night and a spa treatment each. We paid a little extra to have a lake view room, I would highly recommend doing this, if you're paying the big bucks to be here anyway I think it's completely worth the little extra for such a spectacular view. Especially since it's such an experience hotel, with that view you feel properly immersed in a Killarney experience even if you don't have time or energy to do much touristing/hiking etc, which we didn't. Our spa day was absolute bliss, the thermal suite is fabulous and my deep muscle massage with Cherridan in the ESPA was outrageously good, have never had such a great massage in a spa environment, she was fantastic. Chilling outside in the heated infinity pool after our treatments with that view was something else. The dinner included in the package was absolutely delicious, restaurant lacked atmosphere though unfortunately. Breakfast was slightly disappointing, I think at the prices paid a fairly average buffet isn't good enough. FOH staff could have been a bit friendlier but housekeeping and catering staff were very lovely. All in all a fabulous stay but not without a few faults. We'll hopefully make it back someday.

Yelp
Incredible! One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. We actually stayed here in 2006 and it was nice, but the renovation they did since really makes this a six star place. This recent trip was July 2017. Everything was perfect. The food is exceptional from the Irish breakfast to fine dining that could compete with the best in Manhattan. Everywhere from your hotel room, the pool and the dining room, the view of the lake and grounds are breath taking. Very well designed with windows everywhere. The indoor swimming pool is magnificent and the half indoor, half outdoor hot tub is amazing. Actually I should say both of them are amazing, because the smaller one in the spa area is great too. I could go on and on, but to sum it up, this is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed anywhere in the world. Playing golf up the street at Killarney Lake Golf & Fishing Club was exceptional. While you are staying here, I highly recommend a Gap of Dunloe Tour including the jaunting cart and boat tour across Lake Killarney and taking a drive around Ring of Kerry including Kerry Cliffs and Ballycarbery Castle Ruins and don't forget to schedule having an Irish boxty at Bricin in downtown Killarney.

Rob M.

Yelp
Beautiful. Excellent service. Top shelf food and stunning grounds. Very expensive but well worth treating yourself.

Amber G.

Yelp
We really loved this hotel. The hotel and spa are elegant, and the gardens look like they are out of a postcard. The outside hot tub has a beautiful view of the sunset over the mountains, and it's the perfect way to end the day. The rooms were exquisite, and the food, while expensive, is very good. I really have no advice to make this hotel better. It was a great experience.
