I have never had a bad experience at the European Bakery. The food is always delicious. In my opinion, the best in town. The seasonal drinks always are wonderful! Also the bread and dessert selections have definitely contributed to my ever growing waste line (they are amazing) It is truly an amazing spot that deserves all of its success! I would love if they incorporated future vegan options for my friends and family

Such a cute place! Came highly recommended as a stop on our trip up north. Greeted instantly with friendly smiles and hellos. Probably the best scone I’ve had in my life. Enjoyed an iced chai latte and fiancé had an amazing coffee crunch dessert bar.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast - small menu of all the breakfast stables! We got the big breakfast - generous portions leaving us stuffed! Their cheese bread was delicious. And def the best scrambled eggs I’ve had with a breakfast plate. Despite the busy bustling cafe with many diners, the waiter still checked in many times to make sure our meal was just as we liked. Lots of delicious looking baked goods that smelled amazing - a shame that we couldn’t fit any more in our stomachs. Will be back!

RARE EXCELLENCE!!! 7/5!! A FANTASTIC choice if you appreciate gourmet euro style baking as well as delicious soups and artisanal sandwiches! The incredible Apple Crumble Pie has that distinct flavour profile I remember from my Danish stepmother’s “apple cooken!” Lunch options and breakfast offerings are also SPECTACULAR! Whether the French Toast or Eggs Benedict or Quiche, etc. excellent plating and ingredients are complimented by superb preparation!

The vibe is so warm and inviting, with eclectic decor that feels like a cozy European kitchen. 😊 I ordered the vegetarian omelette, and it was a total game-changer! 🥚🌱 Packed with fresh, vibrant veggies like bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, and spinach, it was fluffy, perfectly seasoned, and served with their house-baked multigrain toast that was out-of-this-world delicious. The toast had this amazing crusty exterior and soft, flavorful center. For dessert, I indulged in their date cake—moist, subtly sweet, and bursting with rich, caramel-like flavor. 🍰 Paired with a cappuccino made from their organic, fair-trade coffee, it was pure bliss—frothy, bold, and the perfect balance of creamy and strong. ☕ I was so hungry I dove right in and forgot to take good photos—sorry for the blurry, half-eaten plate pics! 📸😅 The service was outstanding, with friendly staff who kept our table happy and our drinks topped up. 🌟 They even offer a separate gluten-free menu, which is awesome for dietary needs. The prices are so reasonable for the generous portions and top-notch quality. This place is a true gem in Owen Sound—kid-friendly, with a lovely patio for sunny days. I grabbed a loaf of their black and white rye to take home, and it’s honestly some of the best bread I’ve ever had! 🍞 The European Bakery Café is a must-visit for a hearty, flavorful vegetarian breakfast and divine baked goods. 💖 I’m already dreaming of my next visit! I recently stopped by the European Bakery Café in Owen Sound for breakfast, and it is a definite must if you are in the area. The moment you walk in, you are greeted by the tempting sight and aroma of freshly baked goods - definitely a weak spot for me. Their assortment of pastries, cookies, cheesecake, brownies and breads certainly makes it difficult to walk out with just one thing - it was so hard to choose what to try so naturally I thought I would try a few things but only AFTER I was no longer hungry. We sat down and enjoyed a traditional breakfast that included their marble rye bread, and it was absolutely delicious - so much so that I couldn’t resist taking a loaf home with me along with some cherry cheese danishes and butter tarts of course!! They had plenty of coffee options as well - my latté was one of the best I’ve ever had. It has a pleasant atmosphere with options to enjoy your time inside the various spaces illuminated by natural light, a cozy nook or the colourful patio on a warmer day. The European Bakery Café is a gem in Owen Sound, and I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. I will definitely make sure I have enough time to stop in when I am in the area next!!

Had no idea that this was the main location to our other favourite breakfast/brunch spot! Quality ingredients, friendly staff and the best atmosphere for a delicious meal. Their breads are made in house, and jams locally sourced. Came with my dad for Father’s Day and had their eggs Benny, big breakfast, chai lattes, and carrot cake! Highly recommend this lovely place in the heart of Owen sound.

Went last month for Birthday breakfast with my family. Order a French toast and sausage. It was delicious. Love the vibe and atmosphere. Cannot wait to try dessert for next visit
