The Falls Retreat

We had our wedding at Falls Retreat and it was absolutely perfect! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The accommodation was cozy and welcoming, the food was simply outstanding, and the service was faultless – every detail was taken care of with genuine warmth and professionalism. The stunning scenery provided the most magical backdrop for our day, and it truly felt like something out of a dream. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or experience – thank you to the Falls Retreat team for making our wedding so unforgettable!

I had the pleasure of booking a Girls Getaway at Falls Retreat and it was absolutely amazing. The level of detail and customer service was out of this world. Steffi checked in frequently to make sure we were all okay and that we didn't need anything. The accommodation in the log cabin was perfect (as was the fire place), everything was clean and tidy and catered for. We booked in for the platter and again this exceeded all expectations. Enough for us to eat all weekend! I can also recommended the picnic if you are doing the Hauraki Bike Trail - again exceeded expectations. Overall it was an amazing experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking at using this magical place.

If you’re looking to get married here at The Falls Retreat - look no further! This is it. We chose to elope here in May 2025. Our elopement was just the two of us and our dogs. We found the venue online as we live out of the region, but the process was made very simple thanks to the wonderful coordinator at The Falls. The venue is absolutely stunning, the food was 10/10, and the cottage we stayed in (Rose) was perfect for just us and our dogs. There are so many wonderful places around the property for photos. Despite having torrential rain on our special day, the falls did a great job at setting up a wet weather alternative - inside by the fire - which was beautifully decorated. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. We will be coming back for future wedding anniversaries! Highly recommend to anyone looking to elope or have an intimate wedding.

We really loved our stay at the Falls Retreat. A massive thanks to the lovely team there, the service was just incredible. The log cabin is quaint and comfortable. The staff think of everything, and if you need something they’re right there to make it happen. We walked along the river with our dog, lit the fire in the cabin, read magazines, and ate our gourmet hamper. The gourmet hamper and cooked breakfasts were so healthy, delicious and packed with flavour. I just loved it all.

What a magical place! We stayed for our elopement & it couldn't have been anymore perfect! Welcomed as soon as we arrived, shown where everything would be happening and how it would all pan out. Making what could be a stressful situation extremely easy from start to finish. Thank you for making our wedding day and stay so special Falls Retreat team, We will most definitely be back xx

It was purely a coincidence to find this place as I randomly walked out of the DOC camp to the main road. But it turned out to be such a great place to relex. The food is tasty and the manager is lovely.

What a fabulous foodie experience! Amazing location with wonderful staff and amazing food! This experience was a birthday present for my husband and we absolutely loved every minute of it. Thank you so much to all at the Falls Retreat. ❤️

This was a wedding venue our youngest daughter chose, and we can see why. Simply delightful. The organizer at the Falls Retreat was beyond helpful, she went out of her way during the planning stage and the organizing stage, and on the day lifted her game even higher. Nothing was too much trouble. The entire staff were friendly and helpful. We could not fault any of them at all.|The venue itself was stunning. |The accommodation was superb, not 5 star, 4 star anyway, but very comfortable and relaxing.|The food was 5 star. definitely. |Service was top notch.|We were there for 3 days in total, and the whole time we were relaxed and comfortable. And as you know, weddings can be anything but that! The staff are the ones that made it for us.|Thank you.|Very highly recommended.

Most awesome place: food, drink, and fellowship! The staff are awesome! Super friendly and helpful to create a most wonderful experience. The playground captured the hearts, minds, and bodies of the kiddos while the parents made the food & drink selection. A perfect place! Come & see for yourself :) Enjoy!
