The Falls Retreat

We’re from the US & got married here & it was truly the most beautiful location EVER!! Such a stunning place, the energy & vibe is so special. We loved walking through the garden & around the property! Special shout out to Brad the owner & Laura who were so great & made a big difference in making our experience here exceptional. AND THE FOOD was INCREDIBLE! We’ll be back for our 5 & 10 year anniversary 😘❤️

We have been staying at the Falls retreat every year, and they have always been wonderful hosts. This year, Brad and the team truly went above and beyond when our car broke down during our holiday. They were incredibly caring and helpful, offering support in every way possible to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Their kindness and hospitality made a stressful situation so much easier to handle. We can’t thank them enough and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. And the food is...AMAZING! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place where you’re treated like family!

The Food is Exceptional. Fresh and delicious. You can taste the creativity and love. The gardens are beautiful. The venue is stunning. Location amazing. We did a workshop there and are very happy with the whole experience!

A nice hidden gem, we were doing the Karangahake gorge walk and stumbled on this place. Very lovely staff, nice atmosphere and very refreshing house sodas after walking for so long. Highly recommend stopping by if you're near here

Laura, the wedding coordinator, is AMAZING. It was so easy emailing her and she went above and beyond with getting in extra flowers, making sure everyone was so well taken care of. The venue is such a vibe and the food is AMAZING. I've had rave reviews from my guests! Only thing though are the mozzies. Do put repellant on as I seem to be one of their favourites munchies.

My husband and I recently eloped at Falls Retreat. We chose this location as an escape from the bustle of downtown Auckland and couldn't be more satisfied. The location is not far from Waihi and easy to get to. Near Owharoa Falls as well, and at night we enjoyed the ambience of birdsong, wind through the trees, and the Falls. Everyone we interacted with was very kind and helpful. Laura was an extremely good co-ordinator. Very communicative and had many recommendations of things to do nearby. Brad's cake he supplied us with was perfection as well as our breakfast the morning after. We even had a surprise breakfast guest in the form of resident Layla ❤️

My partner and I eloped here last week and were blown away by how incredible this place is. It is seriously a little patch of paradise and you can tell how much the owners and staff care about the environment they have created here - felt like we could really feel the love that they have put into this place. Anna was so kind and thoughtful and made sure the day went to plan with no issues, and the food!!! Oh man, the food was so good. We can't wait to come back here again and stay for a bit longer, thank you guys so much for everything.

We just got married here and it was the most beautiful spot to have it. The Staff are super lovely and helpful. The food is amazing and the rooms are soo cosey and clean. No stress they made it super easy for us.
