The Falls Retreat

The Falls Retreat never disappoints! The atmosphere is rustic, cozy and intimate. Every detail has been so well thought out from the delicious menu down to the fresh flowers and candles on the tables. The gorgeous, friendly wait staff are expertly trained, all with beautiful smiles and happy to accommodate any need. The food at the Falls Retreat always manages to knock my socks off. While the menu is small, it is a well refined selection of dishes using quality ingredients and expertly paired flavour profiles. The beef brisket melts on your tongue and leaves you wishing you'd had just an entire plate of the meat alone! Anytime I eat at The Falls Retreat I find myself thinking about the meal for weeks to come and tonight was no exception- I practically licked the plate clean. Thank you Falls team for always smashing it out the park, we are SO lucky to have such a delightful culinary experience in our community 🫶

We popped in for drinks and some food. Really lovely place with nice fresh and local food and drinks menu. The place is really beautiful and quiet despite groups and a high number of tables. they grow their own veggies in the garden which is lovely. We had a really nice pizza (bit on the smaller side if you’ll be sharing) and some homemade lemonades which was delicious. Don’t miss out on the small store inside where u can buy local articles and some of their own preparations (like the delicious sambal!). Would have been 5 stars if I didn’t find a chip of someone’s nail polish in my drink (that went in my mouth through the straw). After addressing the issue with the person directly (since the color of the chip was very recognisable and their nailpolish was clearly chipping), they apologised but didn’t offer any compensation (even though they were the one processing our purchase at the boutique). I would recommend staff to use gloves for a more sanitary approach and avoid such incident in the future.

We just had our wedding at the Falls Retreat and couldn’t be more grateful for a perfect day. Anna-Jane and Laura were the perfect wedding coordinators and made our whole experience seamless from start to finish. The Falls Retreat were very accommodating to all of our requests and the food was fantastic as well. Overall, we had an unforgettable wedding and can’t thank the falls retreat staff enough!! If you are looking for an intimate and memorable wedding, this is the place for you!

Such fantastic staff, wonderful environment, and incredible food!! Steps away from the scenic waterfall, we also enjoyed walking through the veggie garden, and the kids playground. The food was beyond our expectations as we were just driving through the area. The salads were all interesting. Loved the risotto!!!!

The reason this restaurant is full on a Monday in the middle of a storm is not just the wonderful food,but also the service. Based on the same system employed by the Regent Hotels there is no such word as ‘no’ and no such thing as ‘it’s not my job’ This comes through from the owners who are working alongside their staff, smiling and taking the time to stop and chat, giving the restaurant a relaxed and friendly feel. We stayed in one of the gorgeous cabins and this delightful attitude was out there too. We had coffees, food hampers and breakfast all delivered to our home in the woods, nothing was a problem, it’s all about you and your experience and nothing can beat that. This place deserves every star they get.

Disappointing experience 😕 We ordered Margherita pizza to share and asked for dairy free cheese. The pizza came out with no pesto. When queried their reply was "You asked for dairy free".Ahh no. We asked for dairy free cheese on the pizza. No, apology or offer of pesto on the side. Dont make the assumption, ask the customer. This could have been easily resolved but unfortunately owner didn't want to resolve, only wanted to argue .

What a wonderful lunch we had with you today. You accommodated our requests and you made it special. Food and service great. The Social Menu offered is so good for a big group. My favourite is still the Vegetarian pizza on gluten free base. Delicious. Frances Nicol

Went for dinner for the first time tonight. Was beautiful! Food was great and staff are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Most awesome place: food, drink, and fellowship! The staff are awesome! Super friendly and helpful to create a most wonderful experience. The playground captured the hearts, minds, and bodies of the kiddos while the parents made the food & drink selection. A perfect place! Come & see for yourself :) Enjoy!
