If you want to stay in a lovely quiet area away from it all then the Farmhouse hotel is the place to stay. The room had everything we needed with a bed that could be made into twins. A lovely shower and deep bath. We also had a patio are and balcony on the 2nd floor with loungers & chairs. All the staff we met where happy and friendly. A good menu to choose from with food served in the restaurant, bar or on the patio. Its a super choice to stay while experiencing Guernsey.

This is a beautiful place. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. The photos do not do the Farmhouse justice. We were in the quiter indoor area for coffee and mini mince pies came for free. Such a lovely atmosphere. It was Christmas time and staff had beautifully dressed the hotel public areas. Well worth a visit.

Lovely few days at this small, very old, quirky (in a good way) hotel in the countryside, but only 15 minutes by bus from St Peter Port, bus stop right outside. My room is pictured on this page! It was very spacious and comfortable with a large comfortable bed, sofa, desk etc. The bathroom had a bath ( which was great for me!) and a separate large shower cubicle. The towels and bath robe were the softest, fluffiest that I've ever had in a hotel - luxurious! Lots of toiletries available as well and good lighting over the sink area - sometimes in hotel bathroom, the sink lighting is horrendous and difficult for applying make up. Outside the french windows it was not so much a balcony as an enormous terrace complete with table, chairs, sun loungers and covered in artificial grass - just wish the weather had been a bit more predictable to make the most of it. The grounds are very attractive and a lovely swimming pool. I get the feeling it is more like a restaurant with rooms (about 14 I think) than simply an hotel. The food was delicious and the other diners were not residents, in fact I only saw another 2 residents at breakfast, so it was very quiet. The staff were helpful, friendly and professional. Altogether a very relaxing few days.

The welcome was warm and children are very welcome. The room was very well maintained, spacious and above all very clean. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They constantly enquired whether there was anything else they could do for us or our daughter. The cuisine for breakfast and dinner was very good and varied.

Couldn't fault any element of our two day stay here. Room was spacious, very comfy beds, lovely bathroom and the whole room was spotless. All the staff were fantastic, very welcoming and were happy to help with anything we needed. Breakfast selection is really good and freshly cooked. Didn't have an evening meal. As the hotel is small it feels exclusive and personal and is the perfect place to relax. Buses run from the road outside with links into St Peter Port and the Airport

Food is not really that good for the price and I left still hungry so had to make myself some food at home. I'd also like to add, apart from one member of staff, the staff don't seem that happy or welcoming.

What a disappointment! We booked a superior room, there is nothing superior about it. Stained carpets, dark and dingy. We asked to change to a different room. This was no better. No room to swing a cat. The lighting is so bad you can't sit and read in the room. We were told that the better rooms are already taken although we booked our stay 4 months ago. Pillows are dreadful. asked for more but they aren't sure if they have any. have waited over an hour so far. I tried to book a table to eat but no availability. i asked if there is a bar menu but was told there isn't one. We cannot unpack our suitcases as there is no place to put the clothes. the wardrobe is taken up with a cupboard with fridge, tea tray and safe in it along with ironing board. There are no comfortable seats to sit in the room. Toilet sit doesn't fit the toilet. We are looking to see if we can book another hotel for the rest of our stay as this is making our holiday a complete misery. I have asked to see the manager in the morning, we will see if he materialises. They advertise fresh flowers in the room. there are 2 carnations in an old cola bottle!|The receptionist had the cheek to say that if we book to stay here again they will do better. Why would we stay here again?!

Our 2nd visit to Guernsey for a short break & we deliberately chose a smaller hotel out of St Peters Port. There is a very convenient bus service to town which stops right outside. However, as the weather wasn't great, in hindsught it would have been better to have a car.|Our room, the food in the restaurant & bar area were all very good & the service & helpfulness of staff in all areas was excellent.|This hotel is obviously a popular function venue & on 2 of our 3 days there were private functions of an office party & a wedding during the afternoon into the evening.|Had the weather been better we would have liked to use the pool but this would not have been possible as the functions were using that terrace area. The hotel had cordoned off a space on the grass for hotel guests but we would have been very disappointed.|Something to bear in mind if you want a quiet relaxing place to sit. It must be said, however, the functions didn't detract from the service offered to us at all & there was separate live acoustic music in the bar one evening which we enjoyed.

Yelp
Had a lovely family meal at the Farmhouse. It was very cute and service was good. I personally had the oysters, which were fresh and yummy, as well as the sea bass for my main dish, which was seasoned well. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their orders-- scallops, crab cakes, tiger prawns, and smoked salmon.
