Sustainable fashion made easy. Truly.
The Circular Fashion Hub is a collective of brands dedicated to slow fashion.
It’s an airy, light filled space, with items neatly hung according to size and colors, ample changing rooms, and friendly staff: everything you need for an unhurried, relaxing experience.
The Fashion Pulpit is CFH’s anchor tenant, where membership gives the privilege of swapping in fashion items you no longer reach for, in exchange for ones that might become your new faves (if not, you can always swap them back in! It’s a low stakes way of experimenting with new styles).
No membership? No problem. Items can also be bought with cash, like in regular thrift stores. There’s also TFP’s sister store Playdate near the back, which sells items by bundle pricing (starting from $3.60/pc for a 5 pc bundle, and less for the 10/20 pc bundles, which makes it very affordable, especially when you come with friends!) Why jostle with throngs hunched over suitcases and hammocks at weekend markets, when you can try-before-you-buy here 6 days a week??
TFP alone has a huge variety of styles. Brands range from none, to high street (mostly), to brands like Coach and Kate Spade. Over 5000 pieces are displayed in store, with regular top ups.
Members also have the option to swap from a curated online collection (different from what you see in store).
In the unlikely event that you don’t find anything to your taste, CFH also houses other sustainable brands to check out.
For those with a penchant for luxury, there are goods from secondhand luxury retailers for sale: think LV/Chanel shoes, YSL/Balenciaga bags, Armani/Gucci clothing etc
Slow fashion brands like Syne and Re-store have concessions here, and there are regular pop ups by other brands featuring their past season collections at deep discounts. There’s always something new!
Tucked away on the 4th floor of an unassuming building along Jalan Besar, TFP/CFH is a hidden gem worth hunting down. Budget a few hours for your first visit. Bonus: This fast gentrifying area is also home to a range of F&B options (from old school to hipster) to refuel at afterwards.
Grab a brochure at TFP’s counter (or download the map on their IG) for a list of places to eat/drink/explore. They have kindly done the legwork to help you make the most of your Jalan Besar adventure!
