Great, great people (staff). When we told them we were visiting for the first time they took the time to tell us a little bit about the history of the restaurant (1 one of 4), they also explained the menu in in full detail, and showed us the BEST customer service. You’ve gotta try the classic spicy margarita. As for food, you can’t got wrong with anything you pic. We tried different appetizers and main dishes and not one single thing disappointed.

Been here a couple times. Seems to be losing its quality both in food and service over time. We were here for a birthday and the waitress was mopey and reluctant even when we asked for simple things like utensils or water. The food was really sub par. Soggy and bland soft tacos in a weird bowl so eating it is awkward. The 3 amigos sliders were 90% bread and they all tasted the same because they all get the same tomato base sauce. This place seems to be good for drinks and simple meals like the hot chicky burger which I heard was tasty. I commend them on their vegan options too. These are nice.

Fat Cactus Gardens never disappoints. Mel the manager always extends such a lovely warm welcome. We celebrated my sister’s birthday on Saturday, 4 Oct 2025. The atmosphere was lively. Service was efficient. The food was delicious, fresh ingredients, well presented - tgg hr e usual great standard. Meal for 4 included 3 jugs of Moggy Rita’s, 4x250ml sparkling water, 2x Stella Artois beers, starter calamari Fritos (new and delicious), starter cheesy nachos and a Combo fiesta platter came to R1 833, excluding tip. Thanks Mel and team - and thanks Luthando for the Gingerbread shooter with the birthday girl! We’ll be back soon!

Amazing food and a great portion. This is one of the best place to have tasty burritos!

Absolutely love this restaurant!! Food is amazing, we’ve visited three times now and the Greek lamb tacos, chipotle tacos, cauliflower app and the cheesy nachos remain delicious. Mal took such good care of us and made some great recommendations! Very happy to visit again

Very delicious Mexican food and big portions. They offer vegetarian and vegan options which is great! Service staff is very polite. The prices are okay! The location is kind of a restaurant mixed with a Pub where they also show sports. I can totally recommend this place :)

Good food : I chose the vegan options : cheezy nachos and fajitas with plant based chicken alternative Good drinks: I had frozen margaritas 🍸 Good vibes 🕺🏿 However, I waited for a few minutes before I got a waiter, which dampened my mood a bit in the beginning. But the overall experience was good I would go there again and hope the staff would be more attentive.

We had an early dinner/late lunch on a Friday. It started getting noisy around the time we finished, so if you come after 6pm it is usually difficult to hear each other speak. But the food was amazing especially the bacon, avo and feta quesadillas! The service was amazing There were a lot of bookings for the evening, so if you plan on going on the weekend after about 5:30pm I would highly suggest making a reservation especially if you are more than just 2 people
