The Fat Cactus Gardens

This was such a great suggestion for a catch up while I was visiting Cape Town. Great way to start the weekend. It was very busy but our waitress made a plan and got us a table. Food and drinks were delivered quickly and OH SO TASTY...and we were never left with empty glasses 😉 Manager was friendly and enticed us to try some fun drinks and even gave me one for free! Will definitely be a spot I go too again when in Cape Town.

The place was beautiful. The drink special was great deals. The food wasn't the best and certain menu items were on the menu but they took off and was disappointing when receiving the so call nachos without cheese like it stated on the menu. And lack of flavor on some of the food.

Great, great people (staff). When we told them we were visiting for the first time they took the time to tell us a little bit about the history of the restaurant (1 one of 4), they also explained the menu in in full detail, and showed us the BEST customer service. You’ve gotta try the classic spicy margarita. As for food, you can’t got wrong with anything you pic. We tried different appetizers and main dishes and not one single thing disappointed.

Been here a couple times. Seems to be losing its quality both in food and service over time. We were here for a birthday and the waitress was mopey and reluctant even when we asked for simple things like utensils or water. The food was really sub par. Soggy and bland soft tacos in a weird bowl so eating it is awkward. The 3 amigos sliders were 90% bread and they all tasted the same because they all get the same tomato base sauce. This place seems to be good for drinks and simple meals like the hot chicky burger which I heard was tasty. I commend them on their vegan options too. These are nice.

Wow - is all I can say. Always go here for drinks but dug into the food menu tonight - truly the best food I’ve ever had. No words just - wow.

Very delicious Mexican food and big portions. They offer vegetarian and vegan options which is great! Service staff is very polite. The prices are okay! The location is kind of a restaurant mixed with a Pub where they also show sports. I can totally recommend this place :)

Absolutely love this restaurant!! Food is amazing, we’ve visited three times now and the Greek lamb tacos, chipotle tacos, cauliflower app and the cheesy nachos remain delicious. Mal took such good care of us and made some great recommendations! Very happy to visit again
