My husband and I have an incredible time whenever we eat here. We come here anytime we want something a little nicer than what we can get in CDA or Post Falls, and have made it our regular spot to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The menu is just the right amount of elevated, and changes seasonally. We both got the hanger steak for our anniversary dinner this year. A month later, I’m still thinking about how good it was. I can’t wait for our next visit!

Google
Well, this is a home run of a restaurant! First of all Ken, our server, did an excellent job explaining the menu to us and listening to our concerns about certain aspects of the menu...such as what might be too spicy for our tastes. He was very patient with us and made suggestions and we appreciated it. We started with the Sweet spicy belly bits. This is a dish many other reviewers mentioned and it was different, delicious and we were glad we tried it. I love chicken so I chose the new summer menu offering of pan sauteed chicken on pesto with roasted cauliflour, topped with a tomato/balsamic relish. Outstanding. My husband had the summer menu item of cumin rubbed roasted pork chop with refried pinto beans, avocado and he chose to replace the cole slaw with roasted Brussels sprouts. I can't tell you how much we both enjoyed both the food and the experience! We dined on the patio and we highly recommend that if it is available. We chose wine instead of beer. We probably won't be visiting Sandpoint again as we are on a quest to visit all 50 states (Idaho is #41 so we're almost done!) Sandpoint is a lovely commuity with such friendly people. There are a lot of choices in Sandpoint of very nice restaurants. We're only getting to try 3 dining restaurants. If you look at the menu and think...hmmm, maybe...then I'd encourage you to go for it! You won't be sorry. The menu changes frequently and that is a tribute to the wonderful staff in the kitchen! And if you are lucky, Ken will be your server on the night you visit.

Best experience we've had on this trip. Excellent service! Quick to get in. Food was amazing! Highly recommend a stop! Very delicious!

Google
Best service. We have a group of four and ordered dishes to share, the waiter helped split the entrees to two plates for us to share. Great Asian fusion style food. Will definitely come back and strongly recommend

Google
There is a wide range of food but lack in flavor in general. Chicken is good. Perfect fried and flavored. But stuffed mushroom has no flavor and the noodle in the noodle salad is very stale and reheated. Service and the ambiance is great tho.

Google
We had appetizers for dinner, brie dip, Korean chicken tenders, pork belly and pickle plate we also had the banana strawberry mousse..food was above par. Really loud. Service was great with explanation of what the items were. I will go again and eat a main next time. All in all great place to get some food. Not a huge selection on the menu but enough to give you options.

Oh my goodness! This place makes me want to move to Sandpoint! My daughter in law made reservations for an 8:30 dinner after the high school graduation having never been here before. We dined in the main dining area although they also have great outside dining. Our son ordered 2 servings of Pork Bellies as an appetizer for all of us. They were served with cucumbers. This is a dish I’ve never tried before and it was delicious. The 5 of us left crumbs. Our server was upbeat, engaging and efficient. Each of us ordered a different dish and we were all very impressed with the flavor and quality. Upon the first bite, we were impressed enough to encourage taste testing around the table. Our daughter in law ordered an appetizer of shrimp in peppercorn sauce with leeks, mushrooms, and crostini. I will definitely return for that and may lick my plate to get every succulent morsel. Her mother ordered expertly seared salmon on a bed of the most flavorful roasted cauliflower hummus I’ve ever tasted. My choice was the spicy shrimp with a perfect amount of heat. I devoured the shrimp and half the ramen, bringing the remaining ramen home for reheat with scrambled eggs and sausage links. The restaurant was slated to close at 10, but due to the activity of the community it was still going strong when we left with no evidence of an intended closure on the customers who were being cheerfully seated and handed menus. This establishment is obviously well run from top to bottom, with the entire premises clean and well maintained. Had it not been a 55 mile drive from our son’s house, I would have been there for dinner the following night. Every dish I tried was perfectly seasoned and delicious, in addition to an appealing presentation. You can’t go wrong on your order. *I didn’t try the carne asada, but our son was surprised it was not sliced. No picture of that dish or the burger.

Google
This was amazing and an unexpected gem! We had salmon and a black bean burger as well as the belly bits appetizer. All were perfection!

Yelp
like it! Very special flavor. We ordered pork belly, stuffed mushroom, pickle plate, belly bits. All very good! Strongly recommend stuffed mushroom and pork belly. And the service is nice also! Will come again if we revisit sandpoint

Yelp
Service was great. Beer selection hit the spot with the Japanese Lager from Pfriem. Fat Pig burger and fries was good, but the pickles were the star. The peanut noodle salad had good flavor but the noodles were too firm and the size of the cabbage made it a messy eating experience and I didn't find any caramelized garlic. I stopped eating it about a third of the way through since I was just tired of dealing with it. Finished the fries from my partner's plate. Thanks to our server for taking the 'not quite there' peanut noodle salad off our bill.

Yelp
Veggie Burger- hard to tell based on description but it is essentially beans on toast with a non-patty shaped bean mass on the bottom, a mushy tomato, and a whole lotta micro greens. The chipotle aioli helped on flavor, but overall it was a fake burger and soggy fries. Def try something else. Chicken Sandwich- pretty bland sandwich, there isn't a patty, it's more like chicken tenders and the burger falls apart really easily. Also there's little flavoring in the patty .

Yelp
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The food was 10/10 super tasty. My party was seated fast and the whole place was so clean. I saw table getting cleaned up as soon as people were finished and walking out. The server I had (Ken) was super nice and a funny guy, he told us a few funny stories and he was on point with the service!!

Michelle J.

Yelp
Great food, beer and desserts. I wanted to lick my plant clean. My steak entree did not even need any additions such as salt or pepper.

Yelp
Incredibly delicious! My son & I ordered 5 different items from the menu and each one was so fresh, bursting with flavors that made us want more! The ladies that we got to interact with were very friendly and helpful...I highly recommend going to the Fat Pig..YUM!!! And the restaurant was super cozy, clean and inviting.

Yelp
Came back to Fat Pig last night after a year and it was a nice atmosphere and a busy Saturday evening. You could hear the live music from the wine bar next door. They share a wall that actually opens up. So that was really nice. Our server was absolutely wonderful. Very friendly. We perused the menu and were soooo disappointed to learn they no longer have the corn nachos on their menu. So we started with the elote corn dip starter. It was good, but too expensive for the amount you received. There were a lot of chips but could only use half as they were broken and too small. But that was okay because you only got maybe four dips each of the dip, so that's 8 chips. For main course, my mother ordered the pad thai and I ordered the bang bang cauliflower salad. I had them add grilled shrimp to the salad. We shared the two dishes. We both thought the salad was very excellent. The pad thai, however, was lacking flavor and appeal for an entree. Both of us thought it was just okay. We did not finish it. I will come back to the Fat Pig in the hopes they have the corn nachos again and maybe try some other items. Again, our server (female) was superb.

Yelp
We loved our visit to The Fat Pig! Visiting Sandpoint for NYE weekend and it was recommended to us by a friend - and we're so glad we listened! We started off with the elote dip and it was so good. I'm now inspired to start making elote dip at home . For our mains we got their pork belly ramen and hanger steak. The ramen was great and had so much pork belly! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Broth could probably have a little more flavor, but they give you soy sauce and sriracha to add to it as you please. The hanger steak was cooked perfectly and the leek side was super tasty. A great selection of craft beers too! Overall the ambience was lively and casual...we heard live music from the winery next door which was enjoyable! Our service was great too!

Yelp
Delicious food. Gonna enjoy the leftovers just as much as I did when I had it at first

Tim T.

Yelp
The service by Ken was phenomenal!! The rest of the staff was also wonderful, just wanted to praise the customer service that Ken gave my brother and I. The food was amazing! Try the pickle plate (if you like pickles). This is a must visit place if you're in Sandpoint!

Christopher B.

Yelp
Manager on duty handled extremely rude guest with grace. Food was good, but I'm inclined to revisit just because of this. Honorable.

Daniel V.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Pork belly bites are to die for. The only downside is that they aren't open earlier!

Yelp
Fun place to hang out .. clean, quick service and friendly staff! Visiting Idaho and so happy my Brother & Sister-in-Law brought us here!

Yelp
Oh, I've got to go BACK! Wife & I up for the Home & Garden show. Thank you Sandpoint for the Great response. The Fat Pig was the best we've had in a long time. The pork belly was amazing. Duck nachos Fancy & fantastic. The Coor's mix drink, took my vibe for the place to the next level. service was way above & beyond. 5 stars all day.
google avatar

Yelp
Small, friendly pub in Sandpoint with an amazing list of draft beer and wine and fantastic food like duck nachos, baked brie, heirloom tomato, and Gorgonzola salad and vegetarian choices. Family friendly. Recommend it!

Yelp
So happy we decided to eat here for dinner coming back from the Silverwood. Sand point Idaho is truly a hidden little gem. We stayed at the hotel right next to the fat pig and we can not recommend enough. Their pork belly is just soooooo delicious. We will literally go back to Sand point just to eat this. Service good and attentive and everyone seemed eager to assist. Although we didn't get to sit outside the inside was nice as well. Very rustic and warm. There's also winery connected to it I believe. Will be back!

Yelp
We went there for dinner. Ordered the beef with broccoli , $27. It was pathetic. Seriously , there was little broccoli, a few stems . The meat was tough and there was maybe three small pieces of over cooked stems of broccoli . The flavor was good but really $27 for a few small cuts of tough meat and green onions. We also had the cauliflower salad . I have had this before and it was great. Tonight it was weird. Not cooked enough , bland. Very sad

Yelp
Very unique appetizer menu, and on occasion unique main menu entrees. Most recent is their shrimp and mushroom risotto. While overpriced, it was delicious. Be prepared to pay $$$ for many of their menu items. Always good are the burgers, but they skimp on fresh cut fries. It would be nice to see some other entrees to include curry dishes, smoked salmon and cream cheese boards, charcuterie w/olive boards, spinach with pork belly salad, Greek salad, etc.
google avatar

Joe R.

Yelp
Food and ambiance were fantastic! We had the Pork Ramen--excellent. Will be back. Service was a bit delayed but they apologized and were great after.
google avatar

Wil S.

Yelp
Yelp said to consider the food, service, and ambience. Been here twice now, and all three are excellent.

Pamela P.

Yelp
The entire experience was excellent. From the greeting to the checkout. I went for the pork belly, and it is the best I've ever had, and I accompanied it with the house salad which was presented beautifully. Hubby had the Fat Big burger. He's ordered burgers in every state in the Union and said this was the best ever. For dessert we split the blueberry/apple crisp with Ice cream. YUM!! The waitress was perfect knowing when to approach and when to stay back. The patio is a beautiful setting. You forget you are on a side street with all the lights and flora. Do NOT skip this place if you find yourself in Sandpoint.

Costa F.

Yelp
We frequent MANY Restraunt's in Sandpoint. There isn't an establishment in Sandpoint with a more efficient and pleasant staff. The food is excellent , the beverages are great but just can't say enough about how organized and well staffed they are in a time that most restaurants are struggling for help. Our server was named Grace and she was awesome. Well done!
google avatar

Christine M.

Yelp
Outstanding eclectic well made quality food. Great beers and we can walk next door for live music at the pend Oreille winery. It's one of my favorites!
google avatar

Cassia G.

Yelp
We were in town from Portland, Oregon and found this place! If we are ever back in Sandpoint we will be back! I'm a vegetarian and my husband eats meat so it was the perfect restaurant for us. They also made a new dish for my sister who has a dairy and gluten allergy and she was very impressed with how it turned out. We got the Carne Asada plate, the Cod dish, black bean burger, the bang bang cauliflower salad, and the tofu bahn mi (made gluten and diary free)!
google avatar

Becky K.

Yelp
We were in town to ski and our vrbo owner recommended this place. It was so good we went back for a second night! Service is fantastic, super friendly and knowledgeable. Highlights were the belly bits (don't miss out! You may need 2 orders), bang bang cauliflower salad (I added the duck confit) and the fast food burger, double!
google avatar

Gabrielle M.

Yelp
The pork belly is a must. The red chili pork and Korean chicken tenders were so good. We will keep coming back
google avatar

Theresa S.

Yelp
Ok I'm never one to give a 5 star, however this place does deserve it.. Eric our waiter was wonderful... We were a party of 6 and decided to order 3 snack and 2 main dishes. Our favorites hands down for Snack.. Duck Nachos, Pork Belly Bites and the Caribbean Shrip - not for the weak.. Ramon was a great main dish. I liked to add a little soy or salt... My only advice is that the wine tasting next door called Pend d'Orellie Winery has decent wine but does not allow customers to bring the wine over. Wish the 2 restaurants worked together and were more conducive for the customers. Will definitely be back. And a must stop when visiting Sandpoint, Idaho
google avatar

Robert F.

Yelp
Excellent food, drink, and service. Must try: The Korean chicken appetizer! Many beer selections.
google avatar

Dani D.

Yelp
My hubby and I went here for dinner and were impressed with the food, craft beer selection, and service! My risotto was absolutely fantastic! My hubby had the pork belly Ramen and loved it. We will definitely go back!
google avatar

Nancy Z.

Yelp
This is our second time here. Service was good and the food was awesome. We had the cauliflower salad - it was amazing! I could live on it! Then on to entrees - he had the short rib which had wonderful flavor. I had the pablano shrimp and it was also amazing. Great developed flavors. I would eat here again tomorrow it was so good. Friendly staff and very accommodating.
google avatar

Alan K.

Yelp
Good Ramen bowls and my wife enjoyed the Birria tacos (and she's Mexican and a foodie chef) - and the duck nachos were good too
google avatar

Jeff L.

Yelp
Fantastic and unusual menu. Friendly staff, it's place where you could call home and everybody knows your name.
google avatar

Lincoln G.

Yelp
Came here after a day of Skiing and the menu choices were varied from Curries to Ramen to Stuffed Portobellos.... I had the PorK Belly app with was ridiculously good...Think Teriyaki meets Spicey Korean BBQ...Then a half order of the Brussel Sprouts witch they deep fry and toss with chili flakes, basalmic vinegar and some other spices, also delicious and chose the Mushroom Gnocchi as my main...savory and cooked perfectly....not to mention fantastic service and it was a 5 star ending to a five star day on the slopes!
google avatar

Jamieleigh W.

Yelp
Amazing service, the friendliest staff and a very great vibe and atmosphere! One tip for them is to serve the tea the coffee and cone does and offer the local honey... But other than that the food was good. My husband loved his steak, we are fans of the duck nachos (a first!) and our friends are regulars here. I wasn't a fan of the risotto (normally I love risotto) but I'd try something else next time. We will be back. Thanks for excellent service, Carerra!!

Tara O.

Yelp
Great food every time! Love it, never disappointed. Love the duck nachos! Highly recommend trying this place!

David G.

Yelp
I am not sure why the menu did not warn me that the stir fry entree was extremely spicey hot? Wasted my money on a dish that tasted goid but I could not tolerate the burn.
google avatar

Bill M.

Yelp
Sandpoint's newest eatery hits all the marks for a great place to grab some grub. What it has going for it: - great decor - good portions - outdoor seating - food was tasty and not bland - staff very friendly - pricing on par with similar establishments What it has going against it: - no private parking - bathrooms outside of restaurant So this place is owned by some Maine transplants that have been living in the area for awhile. There menu is pretty simple and not over complicated. I had the lamb flatbread on the lunch menu. Very tasty, perfect portion size for lunch. Nick the bartender that took my order (also a Maine transplant) and got my order to me pretty quick and correct. Do I see myself coming here again...definitely

Breanne W.

Yelp
We only came for drinks, but I wasn't entirely impressed, even during happy hour. There were about 10-12 food options, but nothing sounded good. There were an equal number of taps with a variety from Oregon & Idaho. I'm a stout / porter fan so options were limited as it was summer, but our waitress did a great job providing some recommendations. I sampled a cider & a stout that tasted like the crust of BBQ. Sounds weird, but she recommended a 4 oz pour & it was just right. The accommodating & kind staff were the best part of the visit, but nothing stood out enough to give them a 4 or 5. If I go again I'll try the food & update my review.

Travelin E.

Yelp
Two stars for the great staff. Servers and bartenders are great. Menu looks good, but execution is awful. The duck nachos are served on a bed of tortilla chip crumbs that look like someone jumped up and down on them. Risotto was so over cooked and dry, you could set bricks with it. Very sad, as we were hoping this was a good spot in Sandpoint, but the kitchen staff really needs some oversight.

Doug K.

Yelp
The pork belly bites in itself are worth driving out of your way for! Everything we have tried has been amazing! They put their higher end spin on a fast food style cheeseburger that is absolutely delicious

Lynnette D.

Yelp
Walked out twice after waiting for more than 20 minutes. It was not full and literally 3 servers passed us by several times and said " ill get your server" apparently we didn't have one. Second time was because hostess disappeared for 15 minutes and left us at stand. Good news is we found Matchwood Brewery.. great food!

Anonymous R.

Yelp
Great food and service. Vegetarian options. Decent prices because everything is made inhouse, if it wasn't I would say they are a little steep.
google avatar

Donna P.

Yelp
So far we have been here 3 times (twice with different friends) and we have been very pleased with full tummies every time. Service is always spot on. Staff is knowledgeable, courteous, polite, & friendly. They greet you as soon as you walk in, explain the different beer profiles of the beers on tap, and what the daily specials are. So far we have had- Duck Tacos, Cold Ramen Salad, Cauliflower Tacos, Fish Sandwich, Spicy Pickled Eggs, Smoked Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich, and Roasted Beet Salad. Since we've had so many things, hard to describe each one individually. However, everything is made fresh. Even their hot sauces, which we bought the green jalapeño one to take home. Always look forward to coming back and bringing others to enjoy their meals as much as we do.
google avatar

Jackson L.

Yelp
Great night out for dinner. Great selection of beers on tap and it was delicious dessert was over the top. Great customer service great greeting as you walk through the door great place to have dinner or just a beer and some appetizers highly recommend and we will be back.

Laurel F.

Yelp
The ramen and rice bowl (on special) were great. Reasonable prices and the the bartender/server was very friendly, despite us sitting at the bar as non-drinkers.
google avatar

Heather C.

Yelp
We were told to go here by one of our favorite servers at MickDuff's he said the food and service was amazing. The service was amazing we were seated right away and our waitress was very friendly so was the bar staff upon our arrival. But once we were seated and given menus we quickly noticed that things were quite spendy, while reading over the menu we began chatting with a very nice couple sitting at a table near ours while chatting with them their food was delivered and the portions were very tiny and they agreed. Me and my husband made the mutual agreement to leave. I have never gotten up and left from a restaurant ever and I felt bad but I could not see paying $24+ for a small portion. Again the staff was very friendly and helpful even once we told them we would not be ordering food.

Loribeth D.

Yelp
Our waiter Ken has perfected the art of engaging and friendly service. He even suggested order half an order rather than a full order of duck nachos. Everything we ordered was amazing and inventive. The Brussels Sprouts were the best I have ever had. Also highly recommended and the feta dip, and pork belly. Dessert was an apple pie skillet. Sorry I didn't take photos!

Andrea B.

Yelp
The Burger was great but the fries were clearly the leftover fries. Only short and burned pieces. Ruined the dinner
