A delicious full cream tea for a very reasonable price in the quirky tea room of this lovely hotel. Delicious range of sandwiches (the ham one is to die for) and a wonderful range of small cakes, chocolate mousse and scones with jam and cream. ||My only comment would be that better quality jam should be served. Also on exiting at night to the public car park at the back a light by the steps should be installed for safety reasons.

We had a fabulous stay at The Feathers. We could not fault the service provided by the staff. Our room was fantastic, very comfortable and spotless. We ate in the restaurant for lunch and dinner the staff were attentive and very friendly and professional. The breakfast had a great selection and was delicious. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to all staff for making our stay one to remember.

I ate at the restaurant so can't comment on the rooms and hotel, however based on lunch I'd have confidence that a stay here would be high quality. I ate here with my family and had an excellent lunch. This is not a high end restaurant but I really appreciated the attention to detail across the board which elevated the entire meal. Pie of the day was flavourful and I suspect locally sourced or possibly even prepared on site. My son had a kids fish and chips which in many restaurants at this level would have been terrible, but in the Feathers was perfectly cooked. The rest of the party said their food was at similar quality - standard pub food but done with care and with real attention to detail. The wait staff were similarly taking their work seriously, and though several were clearly new (or newish) they were well trained, polite, cheerful, and attentive even though it was the lunchtime rush. Bathrooms were spotless and the atmosphere of the restaurant is bright and inviting, whilst still being cosy. They were very welcoming of our small children. There are clearly people in charge of the kitchen and front of house who care about quality and customer experience, and it makes a huge difference. Price was around £100 for 3 adults and 2 kids with several drinks each, not super cheap but I think worth it. I will absolutely come back and would recommend.

Wonderful night at the Feathers in a beautiful room (22). Really cosy just before Christmas. Lovely pint in the bar. Place was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Staff are absolutely lovely and the breakfast was excellent. Can’t fault the place. A real beating heart of the town

We popped for a lovely lunch today, served by the amazing Lucy. Nothing was too much, even though we can be conscious of our cocker spaniel being giddy, Lucy made us feel so welcome. Gorgeous fresh food too.

Incredible stay here! It is a small hotel and restaurant but that's such a positive because you do get a more personal experience & you will be really looked after here. We were really looked after by Jess, she is a credit to the hotel and made our stay perfect. We had a few questions before we arrived and just so happened to speak to Jess and she answered them for us. We booked last minute and were unable to get a table in the restaurant as it was Valentine's weekend - Jess got us a table in the bar connected to the restaurant at 5.30pm which was fine but we were hoping for a later time. We had a phone call on the day we were due to arrive from Jess and she managed to get us a table later in the restaurant due to cancellation! The menu for Valentine's was a 6 course set menu so I cannot comment on the 'usual' menu in the steakhouse but as a pescatarian I was catered for too. The food on each of the course was incredible! The breakfast is incredible. Everything was hot and tasty. One of the best I've had. We stayed in the Violet Room and it was cosy. Had a bathroom with a bath and a shower with a sink, wasnt small either. The bed was super comfy, the room had a fridge, desk and a stand to hang clothes. The rooms are all upstairs and from conversations with other guests are pretty similar but all comfortable. We would definitely stay again & we look forward to returning soon. Thanks again Jess, you made our stay.

The ambience of the Inn is true to its age and character, food is excellent, accommodation, the room was what we asked for, very tidy, clean. Hospitality staff very helpful. Polite, I found the staff is there for the guests. Will go again. Good value

A beautiful original black and white building on the high street in Ledbury. We went for a bar meal with friends who were spending the weekend there. We'd been to see their room earlier, and it was wonderful. Large, beautifully furnished and an interesting view over the town. |The downside was that there is obviously a staff shortage when it comes to clearing up the public areas, with discarded crisp packets and used glasses and meal debris left uncleared for a long time.|It was very off putting to see that a dog was allowed to sit at a table in the bar to be fed titbits by its owner. Dogs should be on the floor, not in chairs when other customers are having supper.

Yelp
This is a review on the restaurant only as we did not stay here. This hotel is located in the gorgeous historical town of ledbury. The service was quick and friendly and the menu offered a decent range of food. My husband had a rib eye steak which he enjoyed. I ordered the classic platter which was ginormous. It consisted of a mini fish n chips, sausages, garlic mushroom slice, garlic bread, chicken wings, and salad. To be honest it was enough for two people to share. The decor was lovely inside, nice furniture and decorations and they had restored it very well. The hotel is stunning with old wooden beams, and a black n white striped exterior typical for it's era.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. Do not recommend coming here. Many other great restaurants in the area that have delicious food and great customer service.

Yelp
Like Theo, stayed here the night before the wedding at Eastnor Castle. I loved the decor with its beamed walls and history of the place - the hotel has been standing since 1564! One of the rooms had a slanted floor - we could tell because we placed our luggage on the ground and it started to roll! Only added to the charm of the place! We took the train in, and then walked to the hotel, which you can do, but I would recommend arranging for a taxi, if possible. We also ran into trouble the next getting a taxi to go to Eastnor since most of the taxis in the countryside were engaged in picking up children from school and bringing them home (never would have thought we'd have that trouble!). The hotel is right in the heart of Ledbury, and it's worthwhile to take some time to stroll through the area. I wish we had had more time to explore, and will definitely head back here at some point.

Yelp
This hotel was in the centre of the the small quaint town of Ledbury. I spent my night here for a wedding at Eastnor Castle. If you decide to stay here the service was lovely. A little known fact is that taxi's are difficult to recruit this far into the sticks and my ignorance left me with an hour walk to the castle. Fortunately one of the staff members drove me up to the castle, gratis! Upon return, we were lucky to find the hotel bar still open and well stocked. Afterparty anyone?

Yelp
For those seeking a glimpse into old England - then Ledbury is a perfect example of a quaint old town, and The Feathers Hotel is perfectly suited to its role as the centre of town. The hotel oozes charm from its beamed outer facade to the staircases and beams themselves (its not you the floors of some of them are slanted). Despite its old world charm the hotel has all the modern amenities and facilities you would expect - swimming pool, gym (while certainly not the largest definitely serviceable) and access to Wifi. In addition the hotel boasts one of the best restaurants in a town that has quite a few good places to eat. The service is impeccable and staff do their upmost to help at all times. Only reason not a 5 is that some of the rooms could do with a make-over - they are not bad and no major faults, but definitely on the charming side and those used to the stylish minimalism of a boutique hotel may find such rooms clash with their inner style guru. If you're staying in a small town like Ledbury your options are always going to be slightly limited. Luckily for Ledbury this option is one you won't regret

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay at the Feathers. I stayed here for a weekend in the Spring of 2013. It is probably the nicest hotel in the small town of Ledbury. Our room was very nice and had some antique furnishings. The gentleman who checked us in seemed to be working 24/7. He also helped out in the dining room, was the bartender, and even was the one who brought my room service. I have nothing but positive things to say about this hardworking man. I just hope they let him sleep every once in a while. The bar and dining at the hotel was very nice. I enjoyed the bar lounge. It is on Ledbury high street and it is easy to walk to the various restaurants, pubs, church, and the farmers market. Ledbury itself is a lovely town and can be explored in a couple days. Be sure to view the Mappa Mundi in nearby Hereford.

Yelp
Let me begin to say when my elderly mother (with physical disabilities) went on her vacation to England (her dream vacation) I was expecting to hear nothing but great stories. When she arrived home, she said she went to your establishment and every man was served and couples.... a nice young gentleman was beside my mother and had just arrived. My mother was waiting for about 10 mins to get service. This wonderful gentleman, when asked by the bartender what he would like, he gestured to my mother and said she has been waiting for some time... the bartender then looked at my mother and said, "we are too busy," and continued to take orders after that. Needless to say you screwed yourselves over with a great tipper and a very well known person who travels for her business, and so do I. I will NEVER visit your pub when I come to do my photography and publishing in the UK I will make sure I won't visit you. I do mention where I am on the street throughout the world. I am am on IMDb as well as many high fashion and worldwide magazines. Wish she had better time otherwise her trip was fantastic! Shame on you and your staff
