The Feeder Restaurant

Our first time in was a great experience which means we'll definitely be coming back! We had dinner at this great little place based on wonderful reviews. We had no intention of having the buffet but were pleasantly surprised at how clean and well presented everything was. They have a salad bar, a nice variety of pizzas, and a few other dishes including Mac & Cheese and Pork Green Chili on the buffet and I'm sure this changes a little from day to day. Toward the end of our meal, the owner, Jessica, came to our table and asked if we'd like to test a new dessert item on the menu. Her Blueberry Cheesecake Tacos were delightful! The no-bake style cheesecake filling was perfection (not too sweet with great flavor) and the blueberry pie filling was a perfect accompaniment. We can't wait to try other menu items in the future.

Such nice staff! We ordered the Philly cheese Steak and Cheeseburger Pizza. Both were delicious, the fries were nice and crispy and the beer was ice cold! We got the cinnamon sticks for dessert and they were AMAZING!! I would come back just for them!

We were in the area to go to Mammoth Cave and stayed here in town. We decided to give this place a try. We had a group of 6 and we were all satisfied with our food. There was a buffet but most of our group ordered off the menu. Food was good. Staff was nice. If you are in the area give this place a try.

After our visit to Mammoth Cave, we took a short ride to the Feeder Restaurant. My teenager enjoyed all you can eat pizza. Her favorite was the dessert pizza. My husband and I really enjoyed the Mexican eggrolls. My husband had their hamburger while I had the steak and cheese. Both were very good. The waitress was very friendly, and the service was good. I would say this was well worth the stop!

My experience deserves five stars across the board most definitely will be returning. Actually had an experience where the owner went out of her way to make me a steak even though they only serve them on Tuesdays. Once again I enjoyed my visit along with the southern hospitality!!

The cook is a mad genius! This unique blend of pizza, burgers, and country dinner specials shouldn't work together but it does, very well. I had one of the most tender NY Strips I ever ate. Their sweet potato fries and Sicilian sub are amazing. You have to try the sweet tea! The staff are polite and very hospitable even when in a rush. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! I can't express how much we loved it. Truly! We stayed at Horse Cave Motel right down the road and stopped in for dinner. The owner greeted us with a big friendly smile and walked us to our table and even pulled the chair out for me?! Wow! The atmosphere was very comfortable.. almost like you're at home. The locals had prom night so there were customers enjoying dinner before the event. The owner walked around and obviously was familiar with many of the guests, making conversation. The vibe was very chill and relaxed... not like other restaurants where you feel rushed and pressured. I could sense that many of the locals make this a regular spot. The food was phenomenal! I ordered a calzone and you could taste that it was homemade dough and the sauce was on point!!! Yummy!!! Just the right amount of cheese and toppings. My husband ordered the pork apple burger with fries. Excellent! The fries have a unique seasoning.. almost like a sweet barbecue powder? We also had a side salad and they allowed us to make our own. Their salad bar was very clean, stocked well and fresh! Obviously we didn't order the pizza buffet, but I saw that they were constantly putting a variety of fresh pizzas out... And I really regret not trying their dessert pizza! The service was perfect as well. I wish I could order calzones from this place regularly.. too bad they do not deliver to Cincinnati! Definitely try this place out if you are near the area! You can taste the homemade freshness in their food and you can sense the care and love behind it. It seems like it's one big family there and they welcome you in as one of their own.

The buffet was good. The pizza was fresh and flavorful. The salad bar appeared to be well maintained and replenished with fresh vegetables and fruit . The staff were professional and very attentive to the customers. I would recommend.

I was so excited to try this restaurant, but when I arrived, it said that it was closed and a Mexican restaurant would be opening soon.

This place blew me away with how good it was. So amazing. Like stay in town another night to eat here again good. This was so reasonably priced. The service was delightful and the owners both talked to us. We got 2 appetizers: we got the individual loaded bread sticks, but that was a perfect appetizer. The green pork chili I didn't share because it was AMAZING. We got 4 main courses: individual pizza which was great, calzone which was amazing. And we got the pork schnitzel and the Parmesan chicken. It was all fantastic and we were so full. But still somehow made real life heart eyes when we saw the Philly cheesesteak and the wings go by. The facility was clean, and obviously loved. I've never seen a buffet as well-maintained as this one was. We did not eat the buffet but it's one of the few buffets in my life that I've seen that I would've eaten at.

Outstanding! Loved the food, good service. Sorry this place isn't closer to home! Very clean and friendly.

Good restaurant in a very small town. The decor is simple. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. The staff is friendly. My cousin and I dined here because we were in town to visit Hidden River Cave. We were satisfied with our lunch items - patty melt and an order of chicken wings.

Good food and fast service. We are visitors and Keith from wigwam told us to try, and his advice did not disappoint. Wigwam village is also the bomb! Enjoy both! Mp

We stopped in The Feeder Restaurant this evening after driving by and turning around for supper. Very friendly and attentive staff. Kept up with our drinks the entire time, and checked on us regularly. Everything was very good. Generous portions. I had the schnitzel- WOW! I don't know what is in that sauce, but that stuff had so much flavor! Twice baked potato was great! Wife said the catfish was good, mom said the stroganoff was really good- very tender meat, daughter said the huge parmesan chicken was very good too! Overall, a very good experience. (And the bathrooms were super clean! A+)

We stayed at the KOA in town and a few campers recommended The Feeder. Our waitress was amazing as the rest of the staff. We got there a little closer to closing and they were happy to make us a fresh pepperoni pizza for the buffet for our three boys. We will definitely visit again. Plenty of parking.

We had dinner here on 3/24/23 after a long day in the car they were pretty busy and it took a little bit to get our food but all of the food was super good and the staff went above and beyond to make up for the food taking a little longer. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Oh yea, get the fresh baked chocolate chip cookie with ice cream for desert!

Wonderful service and they had a great pizza buffet! They also had some other appealing options but we didn't want to wait. We just got through a lot of hiking and we were starving! We were so thankful to find such a little gem open where everything else was closed! Fresh homemade pizzas were great, nice variety and they also had spaghetti, mac & cheese options along with a great fresh salad bar! Our server was super nice to our kiddos and even popped in a cheese pizza for the little ones. Desserts were a apple cobbler and some cinnamon sticks (which was really good!). If this is the only game in town they sure do a great job! Definitely recommend before or after the Hidden Gem Cave tour down the block!

Good people. Good fun. Pizza and salad buffet. Had the fish and it was pretty good. Had a group of guys and gals playing guitars and mandolin and a fiddle.

We loooove the food at the pizza buffet, my only complaint was for the waitress. She was doing AMAZING, but had at 10 tables to take care of (bring out food, take orders, and seat us) and there was a whole other dining room she was taking care of too! I recommend the food at this place but just be kind and patient with the staff!

The food and service are great. My husband had the Beef Stroganoff, and I had the Teriyaki Meatloaf with green beans and a twice baked potato. Yummy! Everything was seasoned well. The buffet and salad bar looked very tasty. Lots to choose from the menu!

Our family of five spent a night in Horse Cave while traveling back to Wisconsin from our annual Florida road-trip and I'm so glad we did because The Feeder Restaurant was a highlight of this year's trip! Not only was everything delicious, but our server's attentiveness, including making sure we got tortillas for our special needs sibling and checking back frequently, made our experience top-notch. From yummy appetizers like the Steak Bites and Four Cheese Sticks, unexpectedly tasty dishes and sandwiches like schnitzel (a huge win for our German heritage), and the best Philly cheesesteak I've ever had, The Feeder had something that hit the spot for all of us. And with amazing prices, we couldn't pass up desserts! The cast iron chocolate chip cookie came out perfectly warm and gooey and the ice cream was the perfect bite. Pictured are the pecan bars - we ate every last scoop. And how perfect is the plating?! Our family highly recommends checking out The Feeder Restaurant and trying out the chef's creative and delicious menu. We can't wait to come back!

The Feeder was fantastic! The food and service was top notch. We were there on March 24, 2023. After being on the road for 10 hours, it was nice to feel so well taken care of. They were busy, and our food took a while time to come out, but they more than made up for it! Their giant chocolate chip cookie was a great way to top off a long day. We'll be back the next time we come through the area.

Had a good meal, service was very good, thank you Ashley! My hubby had the Pork and Apple Burger and added Fries($1.99) and I ordered the Beef Stroganoff after reading the reviews with a trip to the salad bar($3.50). Nice selection of toppings with your classic iceberg lettuce and a dash of baby spinach but after a long day of driving it hit the spot. Main course came out quickly and were enjoyed. Burger was cooked nicely and served on a Brioche Bun. The Beef Stroganoff had a nice flavor and plenty of well seasoned mushrooms...the noodles were the typical grocery store egg noodles but were cooked correctly. Two pieces of garlic toast on the side which I didn't even touch as it was more important to enjoy the tender beef. Negative were two things, an awful compressor noise that just would not end and a "convenience " fee for using our Debit Card. We travel this way a lot and will bring cash and stop again.

A nice surprise on our vacation We were traveling with three boys under 11 Hard to please everyone We ended up eating here two nights in a row. Our servers were real servers that cared about us. We enjoyed our food and service.

The nice lady at the counter offered a variety of iced drinks to go. I chose unsweetened ice tea and it was just right. The salad bar looked inviting. She told us of the many offerings she had to meet a variety of specialty food needs. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This is a great addition to Horse Cave! We always enjoy the food, whether we order off the menu or get the buffet - it never disappoints. I love that their food is homemade and made to order so it is always hot and fresh. The owners are great!! They really seem to care about their customers and work hard to make sure everyone is happy. I cannot wait to go back!!!!

Went to cave city for a quick get away. Found the Feeder by chance and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious! They were short staffed but still quicker than most restaurants. They messed up our pizza and put ham on it after we requested it not. The waitress noticed it, we didn't, and immediately brought us a new pizza. If you're up that way, definitely stop by.

Delicious pizza. Visited cave city 3 days ago. Been there two times. Highly recommended. Staff are friendly and service overall excellent.

Super good food at this family owned business. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and cheerful as well. The pizza and salad bar was tasty and also offered yummy pulled chicken chili, spaghetti, blueberry cobbler and hot cinnamon stix. We will be back everytime we're in the area! Passing the word on to family and friends about this wonderful food!

Delicious. Has a pizza buffet and menu items are wonderful. We got the steak bites which were so yummy. My husband got the lasagna and really liked it. I got the schnitzel and it was so good.

Delicious! We had a great dinner here. The staff was friendly and efficient and the owner came out and chatted with everyone. We had the lasagna and the cheesesteak sandwich and enjoyed them both. They have beer and wine available and their prices are very reasonable. We will be back!

Excellent food and flavor! Great and helpful staff. We were travelling through town and ordered delivery, and were surprised by the choices and excellent homestyle flavors. Highly recommend!
