For being one of the only spots open for dinner on a Sunday, The Feve was packed! Our party of 5 squeezed into a table and were provided fast service. Food arrived within 10 minutes, which was incredible for how busy the restaurant was. We didn’t get a chance to try any cocktails, but the menu looked amazing and we’d love to try them next time!

I met up with friends here on a weeknight. Very attentive service. Good selection of sandwiches and entrees. Hot chicken sandwich was little too hot for my friend but we both loved the nights selection of Hungarian potato soup. Spicy garlic chicken wings were crispy and a little spicy...in a good way. Oh and the chai tea with whipped cream and cinnamon sugar...SO GOOD!

Small restaurant on Oberlin Main Street. We arrived at 10:30 on a Sunday. It was busy, but we got seated immediately and drinks ordered. They have a long curving bar with about 15 tables. Food was delicious and the service was friendly. They have one bathroom (with a line). Although we were seated quickly. The actual food service is very slow. My only real dislike were the paper straws.

Google
The food, especially the burgers, is lovely. One anomoly is the pretzel bites, which are weirdly flavorless. Service can be a bit on the slower side, but the employees are always friendly and helpful. They rotate the art on their walls frequently, so atmosphere is variable, however I do appreciate their commitment to showcasing local artist's work!

Big Bad

Google
Food was good fresh cut fries were not hot but luke warm but edible, alittle on the pricey side waitress was attentive but she was running around being it was so busy. It has a brunch menu that changes daily and an upstairs, only thing really bad about it the stairs going down to the basement to use the restroom are extremely dangerous for someone older because of how steep they are. And at bottom of stairs you a have a toliet on either side with a wash basin in middle. I understand it's an old building but I think who designed this needs to create a safer staircase. Not sure it had railings.

We moved a couple years ago to Lorain and went to The Feve for the first time for Father's Day and everything was fantastic!! I will definitely recommend this place for brunch. We had a mimosa and brunch bloody Mary with a pepperoni stick added. Food tasted great and was a bit different. We will definitely be back and let others know! 🙂

Google
Service was friendly. The ambiance was dark and relatively loud. The menu is very large with a lot of options to choose from. I would not recommend the Number Nine which was pretty bland. However, the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger was pretty good and flavorful. Additionally, the tater tots were crispy and delicious!

Google
Great place to grab a bite to eat! The burgers are amazing and the staff is very friendly and helpful! I would have given a 5 star but we found out if you do not request the burgers well done, they tend to come out kind of rare. Which is fine for me but not everyone else in my party. Some burgers had to get sent back which means they had to wait awhile to eat.

Bruce A.

Yelp
The burgers are "as advertised"! Delicious and juicy. They mix their own beef and brisket and the taste is fresh. Interesting atmosphere for a college town bar. And I mean in a good way!

Yelp
Not sure what happened with this restaurant. We used to get brunch from The Feve regularly but stopped after a while. The food was always great and we never had a disappointing experience until today. We placed our order and my husband went to pick it up. He mentioned that they were rude on the phone and he was met with the same rudeness in person. The breakfast burger was barely cooked there was almost raw on the inside. They barely had it tounch the grill. The pancakes I ordered were supposed to be "filled with new york style cheese cake, graham crackers, sweet basil & fresh strawberries." We got a basil pancake topped with a spoon of cream cheese and a strawberry. When we called the only thing the server offered was to fill another order. We're not driving 20 minutes to experience the rudeness.

Yelp
Over my four years here, I've dined at your restaurant many many times with friends and always tipped fairly (15% for lunch, 20% for dinner). However, my recent experiences have been extremely disappointing due to poor communication and ridiculous server's behavior. On my last visit (Saturday), I called in an order for a cheeseburger with everything on top, but when I picked it up, I only received a plain cheeseburger. The price I was going to be charged was $15.67, which is for the full burger with toppings, it's not what I had ordered and the price isn't correct. When I tried to speak with staff at the counter to pay also fix the mistake, no one acknowledged me. Two staff told me to wait and then walked away without making any eye contact. After waiting a long time with no help, I just left without resolving the issue. I was there for so long and tried my best to pay but ironically nobody had responded. Today, I went to the restaurant and placed an order in person for takeout. When I pulled out my phone to pay using Apple Pay, the same waitress who took my order told me I was "good to go" and walked away before I could complete the payment. Based on her words, sure, I started to walk to the exit with everything like the last time, the server really didn't want to accept my payment??? However later, sarcastically I was confronted by another staff member who accused me of not paying twice and even suggested that I was trying to avoid payment because I am graduating soon and left. This assumption was ridiculous, unfair, and completely unreasonable. The problem clearly lies with your server's actions, attitudes and communication, not with me. I want to emphasize that I have always been a honest customer. I paid for both meals today, today and the last visit, I don't owe this restaurant anything, even though the server told me I didn't have to paid the last time because he couldn't find the receipt. I still paid including the payment of the last time and everything in the tip. He is very happy and said that I am good? Lmaoo. However I believe it is part of my responsibility to take care of my payment and I never tried to avoid or ditch the payment, who is gonna chanlleng the morality with 25 bucks total? Not me‍ your restaurant server just simply don't wanna take my payment. Brought a loss to the restaurant and trying to pass the buck on me? This whole experience is just so stupid sarcastic. If you are too busy, just hire more waitresses instead of ditching your job responsibilities. However it reflects a serious breakdown in communication and professionalism among your staff. It's not my fault at all and I believe that I do not deserve to be labeled or treated unreasonably. The manager should addresses these issues so other customers don't have to face similar problems, or whatever how this small town restaurant works...

Matt V.

Yelp
The service was abysmal. We were seated and 20 minutes went by and we had to go get our own menus. 30 minutes passed before a server came to the table.

Stephanie O.

Yelp
Service, was a yeah, food just enough and priced well, so yeah, total experience, I'll be back!

Janis W.

Yelp
Decided to do a fun little day trip to Oberlin with my boyfriend. The town has a lot of quaint little stores, as well as beautiful areas around campus. Several store owners recommended that we eat here, so that's what we did. We were able to be seated right away which was nice. We both got burgers with fries for dinner, and they were excellent. FYI, this isn't the kind of place where they ask you how you want your burger cooked. They've already decided the best way for it to be served, and that's how they serve it. The fries were especially yummy! But the real star, in my opinion, was the spring roll appetizer. Hot, crunchy, delicious, just absolutely perfect!! I'd come back just for this appetizer! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Katherine H.

Yelp
Ordered carry out the other night with my cousin. Her turkey pesto sandwich looked delicious and I enjoyed my spinach pie. We both had the slaw for a side-delicious! Order was ready on time and staff was friendly and efficient.

Siobhan D.

Yelp
I can see why this has been such a special place for my Obie for 3 years! I had my first meal at The Feve today and was so impressed by the quality of the food and the excellent service! Cool vibe, not too loud, attentive service, love the art on the walls. I got the soup plus vegetarian black bean hash and eggs- wow! My kid got the burger, beautiful!

Kamris C.

Yelp
Ok Sunday afternoon me alongside my family visited "The Feve"as our first stop in Ohio. It was a pleasant atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon, it was moderately busy and the service was quick. The young lady in the yellow blouse was very kind, quick and accommodating. Our server quickly came over with waters and gave us a little insight on the menu. The food was good but the potatoes came out cold not that it stopped my appetite because the presentation was still solid. The flavoring of my Lamb gravy and biscuits lacked some salt but that's something that can always be added. Overall good experience and quick service!

Emily V.

Yelp
Not going to lie, this place got me through my last year of college. Highly recomment getting the tater tots and a side of white cheddar cheese dip to go with an evening drink. This place is an incredible neighborhood bar and restaurant. It gets crazy in the evenings, but to me that's part of its college town bar vibe. If you like simpler drinks made well, this is the place for you. Must try drinks would definitely be the Paloma, the monthy specialty cocktail, and whatever cider is on tap.

Nicole K.

Yelp
Good food, cool vibe. Would recommend if you're in the area. Fries and tots were great. Fried pickles very tasty! It is a small place and I would expect it's crowded when school is in session.

Kimmie Y.

Yelp
My husband and I were disappointed in our visit to The Feve. It had been recommended to us from someone who had completed their graduate work at Oberlin College. We were in Oberlin for the first time. While the Bloody Mary was huge and delicious, the service was extremely slow. We were a party of two and while two other tables were sat after us, they were able to place their orders while we waited for our server to return to us after initially ordering coffee (I do want to commend the coffee service - very attentive). The other two tables (different server) were served their meals, eat, and left before our check was even dropped (after ordering it took over 35 minutes to receive our food).

Dakota O.

Yelp
Been going to this place for years, they have some of the best burgers around. The tater tots are definitely the play with the amazing sauces they have, will say the fries are not the best but the taters are great. The whole vibe is great and it has tons of parking in the rear.

Jessica C.

Yelp
Food amazing, beverages on point. In "downtown" area of Oberlin. Enjoy and amazing meal then a walk in the beauty of Oberlin. Service and a always good and brunch is nothing short of amazing!

Max J.

Yelp
Whoa, I had no idea when we first pulled up. This place is INCREDIBLE. I strongly recommend you stop here and order anything off the menu, honestly you can't go wrong. The vibe in here is comforting and inviting after being on the road for days on end. Jess welcomed us as soon as we walked in, a real gem in this town!

Ken P.

Yelp
First time here and happy I went! Staff was extremely friendly and the food was really good too! Place was full of people all enjoying to nice day through the open front windows. It is right downtown which means it is easy to find. I enjoyed it and you will too!!

Tom G.

Yelp
We had a big group and the service was excellent as was the food. I had the avocado bacon burger and amazing tots and thoroughly enjoyed both.

Sara H.

Yelp
Food was delicious and servers were kind and attentive. It was my son's first day arriving at college and he and I appreciated having a last dinner together in such a friendly atmosphere before I left for home. The drinks (raspberry iced tea and a special cream soda) were delicious too!

Rachel R.

Yelp
How have I never reviewed this place ? I come here at least once a month. It is consistently awesome. The brunch menu rotates so it is different every month but always has a sweet pancake and usually a savory pancake. You can always get a "basic" breakfast, but they have much more!

Michele B.

Yelp
What a lovely brunch we had! FYI: the dining room is upstairs and you have to climb a tall, steep staircase to get there. Situated in a quaint, downtown part of Oberlin, so we had a great view of the street from our window. It was a cute place, nice ambiance and lighting. I started with a delicious Bloody Mary. Classic brunch with perfect fluffy eggs, a salad, bacon, and potatoes. Mom loved her salad Niece got the challah French toast- this kid put everything on the side and really missed out. The berry compote and frosting were sooo good! She was happy to just enjoy the crispy French toast. With generous tip, we spent about $50, which I thought was a fair price for 3 brunches with the bLoody and a giant hot cocoa. Our server was awesome. Friendly and laid back- she really added to the overall chill vibe of the place. She was busy but never seemed harried or stressed. We're not in the area often, but would surely return for food if we were!

Yelp
The Feve is a nice place for casual dining or just for drinks. I had the fish and chips. The cod was excellent! Service was very good.

Matthew W.

Yelp
If you have one Oberlin experience, make sure it's The Feve! This beloved institution serves pub food and awesome cocktails at a surprisingly affordable price. The atmosphere is warm with exposed brick walls and a gorgeous copper bar and it's ALWAYS full of Oberlin folks. It was THE place for tots before tots were a thing, and the staff is fantastic. If it's a warm spring or summer evening, the huge street-facing windows will be open and the people-watching is SUPERLATIVE.

Andrea H.

Yelp
Amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere. I would recommend a stop here anytime you're in the Oberlin area.

Brooke Y.

Yelp
Nobody is going to mistake Oberlin Ohio with one of America's raging college towns (Happy Valley, Athens George, Iowa City. . . ), but The Feve does Yeomen's work (pun intended) to provide the locals and co-eds a great food and drink option. The joint impresses with its ability to blend quality downstairs dining with a joyous upstairs bar vibe. Grab dinner downstairs and enjoy some something from the incredibly diverse menu. How many quality restaurants (that aren't diners) offer Thai Peanut Chicken, a Cuban Sandwich, Ahi Tuna Salad, and Market Falafel??? But as good as the restaurant is, the real fun is upstairs. Head to the second deck and order yourself some wings and one of their quality burgers. My money is on The Fever, which spices things up with pickled jalapeño. Regardless, make sure you get some of the tater tots. The bar staff is friendly and they always have an assortment of tasty brews on tap.

Tracy S.

Yelp
Great tacos, wings (just right sauce), stinky fries and great beer! Great option for brunch, dinner or happy hour!

Robbie L.

Yelp
Ordered online, my wife opened her food and looked after taking a bite of her burger she came to notice it was almost still raw. Very pink inside

Client 9.

Yelp
Nice place. Friendly service. Good tap selection. The food was pretty good: My friend liked his burger and tater tots, and my spinach pie and side of fries were pretty good. Kind of weak of the veggie options, though. I know it's a bar, but it's also in Oberlin. All told, I'd go back.

B-shay G.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch on a college visit with our son. First, the service was excellent. Personable, positive, and relaxed. Second, the food was creative and the basics were well done. I had the samosas and habanero wontons. Both with crisp, fresh dough. Our son got their famous tater tots. Nothing fancy, but exactly what a tater tot should be. Crispy, hot, delicious. Recommend!

Melissa R.

Yelp
I love the food, ambience. Brunch is great. However I'm no longer patronizing the Feve since my cousin was banned by communist Janet, over politics. Pathetic.

LuAnn V.

Yelp
The vibe as we walked in was warm, casual, inviting. The old brick interior is beautiful. The food we ordered, Buffalo Shishtawouk, Hot Ham & Swiss and a Cuban was all soooo good! And who knew they have the best crispy tater tots ever? The service was stellar, thank you Ashley! Even the music was amazing! Thank you again Ashley! Can't wait to come back!!! Pandemic Hours Mon-Fri  11:00-9:00 Saturday 10:00am-9:00pm Sunday  10:00am-9:00pm Brunch Hours Sat & Sun  10:00am-2:00pm

Yelp
Just visited here during COVID times and everything was awesome. The upstairs dining room was the only inside area for eating with the downstairs being closed for pick up only. Tables are well spaced apart and service was quick. Our group ordered a grouper appetizer which the kids loved and burgers for the adults. You can't go wrong with a burger here. Lots of choices and options on toppings. Plus fresh cut French fries and the ranch on the salad is amazing. Plus they are open everyday. Lots of restaurants in Oberlin are closed on Monday so it can be tricky when eating out.

Scott G.

Yelp
A great place in a college town. Food was amazing. Had the cheddar and sweet corn pancakes, very good, even better with maple syrup. The bacon was top notched. People were very nice and the food came quickly. It was a little loud in the upstairs bar area where we ate, but not enough to drive us away. Had the blood Mary and it was huge and very tasty, could have used some horseradish, but very good. I would recommend you come here if in town.

Courtney K.

Yelp
The Feve was one of my go to spots when I worked in Oberlin. I've never had bad service or food here. I met up with some friends to catch up. The service was wonderful. I love their burgers and tots. The hybrid on the cocktail menu is delicious, too. Can't wait to come back here sometime soon.

Julia T.

Yelp
Quick service, delicious food (no matter what you order) and a cool atmosphere. I love the art on the walls and the casual yet classy feel of it.

Cindy A.

Yelp
Good food, nice environment. Our waitress was polite and efficient. A lot of parking in the back.

Darren R.

Yelp
We really enjoyed The Feve. The food and service was amazing! The Rangoons are a must try appetizer and the burgers are delicious as well. I did see the Cuban sandwich making its way to a table and I will definitely have to try that next time. I didn't care for the Satan like decor and I'm not even a religious person. It's just weird and not very inviting especially since we took our daughter there not knowing this. The bathroom is also down some stairs so just a fair warning should anybody need to know that before visiting. The bathrooms are also sort of weird because of the design. You can tell they were forced into the basement and built around preexisting structures to make it work. This place is also very small so timing is critical as to whether you will get a table or seat at the bar.

Brigid O.

Yelp
Visiting family at the college and looking for dinner. The staff were very pleasant and efficient. The menu was extensive and the food was good. Prices fair. Atmosphere, inclusive and warm. Overall very happy! Do note that the restroom is in the basemen down a flight of stairs. If someone in your party has a problem with stairs this might be an issue. However, there might be a staff restroom on the main floor, we didn't ask.

Steve A.

Yelp
So good. The Feve is the best restaurant in Oberlin. This has been there awhile, it's always listed as one of the favorites of students and locals, and after eating there it's easy to see why. It's upscale but not ridiculously expensive. They have good handcrafted drinks and plenty of vegan friendly items. Finding a good sit down restaurant in a college town can be hard because there's so many crappy ass chains. It looks like a pretty upscale place at least compared to other places in town. The interior is nice and brick walls. It has a nice bar. This is a relaxing place to get a craft beer or one of their handcrafted cocktails. As for drinks one of my favorites is the 100 Monkeys and a Typewriter. This is about $5 for a good size glass. I got it the first time just because I really liked the name. This is made with Bacardi Silver, Cazadores Blanco, and cranberry and orange juice. I turned out liking the taste too. The food menu has lots of vegan choices. It has all kinds of burgers with or without meat. Erica's Vegan Burger is $9 and comes with a choice of a side. It's topped with avocado and red onions. This is one of the best vegan burgers I have ever had, and it's not that expensive for the size of this. The Feve is good for lunch. It's also good for later. This is good pretty much any time.

Doug W.

Yelp
Met my elderly mother, son and his fiancé at The Feve. To start, we were served PINK water. It must have been disinfectant left in the pitcher; quite a dangerous oversight. Then, in this loud (exposed brick walks) and crowded environment we waited 55 minutes for our food (three sandwiches and a salad). When I talked to the manager and told him about the wait he said they were busy, had a small kitchen and only two cooks. When I pointed out that the next table, who had arrived 30 minutes after us, had their food he told me to "grow up" , "you're an adult", "I don't need a lecture" and finally "looks like we are plenty busy, must be you!" Wow! Just Wow!

Jillian M.

Yelp
This place is LEGIT. I have family in the area, so we stopped by for a late lunch on a Monday. It's a cute bar/restaurant in downtown Oberlin, and it looks like they have lots of specials on certain days of the week, plus a brunch menu. It was so hard to choose what to order; there were so many tasty looking sandwiches! I ended up with the ahi tuna sandwich, and a massive side of tator tots. The ginger/soy topping and veggies on the sandwich made for a lighter and more exciting option than your typical burger. Their portions here are very generous, and from what I can tell, every sandwich has killer bread! As a huge fan of dips, I love that you can order a side of any kind of dip (there are like 10+ to choose from) for your tots or fries, AND you can even add a flavor dust to the tots! Their chicken is locally sourced, and there are a ton of veggie or vegan options. They had a decent draft list, as well as a full bar of cocktails and wine. Looks like they have 3 for $5 taco special on Tuesdays! I would love to come back again and check out the upstairs seating area as well. If I lived in the area I would dine here frequently!

Jeff B.

Yelp
Wowzie, this place gets it, this has been on my radar for quite sometime. I was coming back from Put In Bay, and purposely starved my self knowing that Oberlin and I were going to have 20 year reunion. I was looking forward to spending the day walking the campus, breathing in the crunchy goodness, and stuffing my pie hole with something from the Feve. Man this place was busy. After quite some time seats were had. I asked about the Machaca, pork to be precise. The server pretty much said it was glorious. Then she asked "what do you want to know about it". My retort - Nothing more needs explaining. Pork Machaca is where it was at and it would only cost me a few green backs. I asked if they had anything spicy and they claimed they had a level 10 sauce. I asked is it real spicy or white people spicy. She advised it was very spicy. Had it with scrambled eggs and salad. Wow was it awesome. Plate of schredded pork flaroved with a hint of poblano and their hot but flavorful level 10 sauce that had scorpion and habenero peppers. Omg, I also tasted the Caribbean pork sammie and a couple perfectly fried tater tots. The service was excellent, everyone was super friendly it is evident that people enjoy working here . Well done, I say. This place was awesome. I understand why this establishment is always packed. Oberlin is my kind of town. Next time I go to Put In Bay, I think I will most likely detour and spend the night In Oberlin, much more my style.

Randy P.

Yelp
Very good food and atmosphere. And the drinks were very unique and very good! Excellent

Sheena W.

Yelp
I was in Oberlin for a date one Friday night and we decided to check out The Feve for dinner. 100% this is a perfect example of a trendy little college restaurant/bar. Staff was hip with their tattoos and flannel, pretty sure there were white Christmas lights for ambiance, the food was creative with peanut butter on the burgers, and prices were hella nice! Seemed like a pretty popular place as it was so busy my date had to fend off the bar stool he was saving for me from eager patrons ready to dine. My date got some chicken salad on pita with side of hummus dish and I went for the PB bacon burger with a side of tots (cause to hell with salad! I'm a woman who likes my arteries to be clogged!) We both enjoyed what we ate and our server was helpful and friendly. I think our bill came to just over $20 which is very good when you're used to Cleveland prices. If you ever catch yourself in Oberlin, I would recommend giving this place a try!

Karen K.

Yelp
Stopped here while driving through to Niagara. So glad we did! Cute little neighborhood. Friendly service. Comfort food. Service was friendly. The bar area was packed. And it's a pretty small place. Other than that, I enjoyed my crab cake sandwich and tots. The sandwich was a little spicy (I hope it wasn't to mask fishy crab), but it tasted great. The others I was with enjoyed their dishes as well. Note, there's only 1 restroom (single person room) near the bar/eating area. There's another downstairs. Both were occupied so we left and used Subway's restroom instead.

Kacie S.

Yelp
I am from out of town and I LOVE this place! Every time I'm in town I go at least twice. The food is great, they have a dynamic brunch menu that changes monthly, and the drinks are great! If you're in the area you should check them out!

Sarah R.

Yelp
My brother & I came in to have brunch because we've never had brunch at the feve before! We were quickly greeted by our server Katie! She was such a pleasure, she really set the tone for our meal, she helped us pick the best dish & made us great drinks! Even though it was pretty busy! she was still quick & very pleasant with us! I'd definitely come back especially if Katie's on the floor! (: she's the BEST!!!! LOVE YOU KATIEEEEE !!!

Margo B.

Yelp
Hands down the best Americana in Oberlin, or cleveland for that matter! The Rangoons are a must.

Frantz C.

Yelp
Great and friendly place to get drinks. Friendly servers and delicious and affordable drinks to take your mind off of dropping your kids off at school. The kitchen was closed so we didn't get to try the food. Next time.

Donna A.

Yelp
Amazing burgers and Cubans. Great deal of good for the price. Nice selection of draft beer. Service was very good. I would go here again
