The Fig Tree Restaurant Kilkenny

We were so pleased to find this lovely gem of a cafe on our visit to Kilkenny. It was so peaceful, with great service, and tasty food. I was able to get a couple of different gluten free options, including a scone and a sandwich - they also mentioned vegetarian options on the menu!

We had a lovely experience in this restaurant. The place is well-located in the heart of the town. It is very spacious but it does not compromise the cozy vibe the restaurant gives. The breakfast we ordered was absolutely divine (those rashers were amazing!) Last but not least, the staff were just so friendly. We were just happily eating all the way. Definitely coming back!

Food and service were very good but we got the unlucky draw of getting the table closest to the bathroom door, which whenever someone would go in and out of, we would get a smell of it. Otherwise, the experience was good. The waitresses were friendly and helpful. Overall I can recommend this place for a visit.

They were very busy when we arrived around 1pm on a Saturday in July. We were headed from the castle to the cathedral and it was the perfect spot. They were able to find us a couple of tables. All the servers were extremely friendly and the food was great! The bagels were firm on the outside and soft inside. The panini was perfect for lunch on both size and flavor. The soup was very good and the hamburger was amazing! Make sure to grab a bite here when you're visiting Kilkenny.

Atmosphere was clean, cozy, and lovely decor on multi story seating. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was great, and perfect to have all day breakfast so we could get our first Irish breakfast of our Ireland holiday. 🥰

The sweet treats are great value for money. Got myself a gluten free scone for only 50c more than the gluten scone my friend got. Really delicious and they have a number of gluten free options. Highly recommend 👌

Very nice atmosphere and great service. The food was good, just a bit overpriced in my opinion
