The Fig Tree Restaurant Kilkenny

I brought two of my children here for lunch today and it was lovely! We ordered kids pancakes with Nutella, adult pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, and kids sausages and chips. The food was all presented really nicely and was very reasonably priced. It also tasted great!

They were very busy when we arrived around 1pm on a Saturday in July. We were headed from the castle to the cathedral and it was the perfect spot. They were able to find us a couple of tables. All the servers were extremely friendly and the food was great! The bagels were firm on the outside and soft inside. The panini was perfect for lunch on both size and flavor. The soup was very good and the hamburger was amazing! Make sure to grab a bite here when you're visiting Kilkenny.

Bright cheery welcome was just the beginning of a very pleasurable experience of coffee, Soup of the Day, dark rye bread with real Irish butter and many options for Veg, Vegan and other dietary adjustments. Thank you so much!

Lovely early lunch at this cute cafe. Serves breakfast most of the day so everyone can get a bite. Friendly team and solid food. We sat on the main level and enjoyed the street view. Excellent coffee!!

A nice cozy cage for some good affordable food. I tried the full Irish breakfast. The size the potions and options were really good. I was so full fate this didn’t really need anything until 4 pm. The pancakes were also good. The staff here is quick and the service is good as well.

I had the vegetarian Irish breakfast made vegan (they also have oat milk to go with your tea, delicious) and everything was great. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere 👌

The Fig Tree was lovely! We had the gluten free full Irish breakfast and gluten free scone. Both were delicious! As an American with celiac disease, it was wonderful to eat such a delicious meal and feel safe about it.

We stepped into The Fig Tree, from a seemingly endless misty rain, for a late lunch last week (21 June). The husband and kids had the beef burger with chips; I had the warm goats cheese salad. The place is cozy and light; the staff was inviting, charming, and accommodating. The meals were superb. When we're back in Kilkenny, The Fig Tree will be on our list for breakfast!
