This hotel is very special. Although it is small, it is well equipped. The location is quiet yet convenient, with plenty of places to eat nearby and easy transportation.||When we arrived at the lobby, a staff member named Venezia greeted us and assisted with check-in. She was extremely friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. She asked whether we were tired and if we would like something to drink, and she also explained the facilities in the room. When I asked her for recommendations on nearby places to eat, she quickly found several very authentic local restaurants for us.||Because I was feeling quite tired, I asked her if there were any massage places nearby. She recommended one that was about a 7-minute walk away. The staff there were very friendly, and I felt extremely comfortable after the massage. I am very thankful to Venezia for recommending this massage place, as it made my vacation even more relaxing.||Every time I returned to the hotel and saw her warm and friendly smile, it made me feel very happy staying there. Whenever I had questions, she was always able to help. Her kindness and attitude toward guests made the stay feel especially welcoming. Next time I visit, I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again.

We recently stayed at a small hotel tucked into a busy business district. To our pleasant surprise, we were upgraded to a suite upon arrival. The suite was well-kept and offered a nice view of the streets below. We also enjoyed the free drinks provided. One staff member, Silvia, went above and beyond as she happily answered our questions and helped us navigate the area. Unfortunately, another staff member named Hailey ignored us. Each time we approached with a question, she seemed more interested in her phone than in assisting us. The suite upgrade and Silvia’s exceptional service were highlights of our stay. Regardless of the inattentive front desk experience, I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a cozy stay in HK.

We chose this location to be close to the metro and ferry terminal. It is a more local area and we liked that as there were loads of shops and restaurants around. The people at reception were super nice. The complimentary snacks and drinks at happy hour were very appreciated. And there was a lovely outdoor terrace where you could enjoy the sunshine. We received an upgrade to the Magnolia Suite and it was very nice. Spacious with a small kitchenette and separate living area. We had everything we needed. Loved having the water station available to fill water bottles. The only reason for the 4 is that the bed was extremely hard. Otherwise everything else was perfect.

We had a perfect stay at The Figo. The staff – in particular Marco, Hailey and their manager, Ethel – were exceptionally helpful and accommodating, and helped us escape a truly atrocious Airbnb experience. I would strongly recommend this hotel as an excellent, affordable option with a great team running it. We are Hongkongers who moved abroad a few years ago, and when we next return to the city, which we do regularly, we will definitely stay there again.

Love the location, the design of the lobby and the rooms, the cleanliness of the hotel, and the politeness of the staff. The view is great too. However, there is one issue that I would give this place a 4.5/5 stars is due to the maintenance of the lift. Without failing, there would always be a lift maintenance at 10:30am everyday. This has causes a lot of inconvenience to the guests and the cleaning crews. The wait for remaining lift will take 5 mins or more as the lift is tiny and everyone fought to use the lift. Another thing to take note for arriving guests is to exit from Sai Ying Pun's Exit A2. Don't trust Google Map by alighting from Sheung Wan as it is a terrible choice. It is an uphill walk with multiple busy roads that you have to cross from Sheung Wan station.

A great value hotel. Beds firm, with nice pillow options. Rooms small, although we got upgraded to a suite on the top floor (21), which was lovely of them. We booked directly with the hotel and stayed for 4 nights. The happy hour is generous of them - beer, wine, some basic spirits and mixers. Juice and soft drinks. A few snacks. The small outdoor area was nice - only on the 4th floor though. Only a couple of drawbacks. The gym opened late - 730am. It is basic, with a dual pulley cable machine, single adjustable bench, dumbbells up to 10kg, a bike and a treadmill. An infrared sauna and small cold plunge. One lift was out of service for the whole time, and as the building also houses offices, it made for some long waits for the lift. Location is decent, but not as good as Wan Chai or central for restaurants. These places are easy to walk to or get a tram though.

We had a lovely 3-night stay in a standard room. The reception team was welcoming, and our room was tidied every day. I especially enjoyed the spacious lounge with complimentary drinks and the open balcony—it’s a perfect spot to relax. Great value for money and a charming stay in Sheung Wan!

Avoid this hotel! Total chaos and zero common sense. I had an absolutely infuriating experience at The Figo. It is beyond belief that management decided to perform elevator repairs during peak check-out time. The elevator is tiny and can only accommodate 4 people at once. With one elevator out of service, we were left waiting for over 20 minutes in the lobby with all of our luggage. It was a complete bottleneck. You simply cannot get anywhere in this building when they decide to shut down the only means of transport during the busiest hour of the day. Extremely poor management and a total lack of respect for guests' time. Save yourself the headache and never stay here.
