Absolutely loved the glimpse through history. We were explained everything enthusiastically by the caretaker. The artefacts from around the world and the luxury of the mansion is worth looking at but also make you ponder about contrast of the living conditions of such wealthy people getting gifts from even the EIC and locals during the Portuguese rule. Even got to meet the current resident of the family Ms. Fatima. Loved the entire experience.

An absolute gem of a mansion perfectly portraying a Portuguese colonial house. It is extremely maintained. The guided tour by the staff was very informative & interesting. The owner very welcoming and helpful to organize the visit to her family home. Wherever you may be staying at in Goa, in my case, Calangute, the trip out to the charming village of Loutolim to visit this mansion is a definite must not to be missed. They also have an impeccably well-maintained & beautifully decorated homestay which one visits at the end of the tour.

We 3 friends stayed at Figueiredo Mansion a couple of days back and wanted to share our experience here!! Visiting the Figueiredo Mansion was truly one of the highlights of our trip. What made our experience truly special was the warm hospitality extended by Fatima, the gracious host. She made us feel welcome and comfortable, sharing her personal connection to the mansion and ensuring we had everything we needed. Her genuine warmth and charm added a personal touch that elevated the entire visit. Her passion for preserving her ancestral home and sharing with her visitors is evident in every little detail. We were also guided through the museum by Constancio, who did a fantastic job narrating the fascinating history of the house and the Figueiredo family, which brought the past to life, making each room and artifact feel meaningful and alive with stories. It was clear they cared deeply about preserving and sharing this cultural gem. The rooms of the mansion are nothing short of stunning. Each room has its own unique character, adorned with period furniture, beautiful woodwork, chandeliers, tiles, and vintage decor that reflect the grandeur of colonial Goa. All these are tastefully maintained, and one can almost feel the presence of generations that once lived there. If you’re visiting Goa and want to experience something beyond the beaches, the Figueiredo Mansion is a must. It’s not just a glimpse into Goa’s colonial past—it’s a heartfelt, immersive experience! 😊 Thanks! Chithra Pillai, Jeena Rani, Dyna Susan

Had a few nights stay recently as part of a group. It is a massive heritage mansion run by a family along with museum who stays in one part. We took Room no 1 which is huge and well appointed. Host Fatima has personally prepared and baked puff pastry for us which is the best I had in a period of time. Mansion has a good swimming pool and a small bar with good local collection as well. Museum is quite well made and many historic events would have happened here as per tour. A huge vast lush green open space owned by them is rare to find in Goa. Breakfast option is quite limited and service is slightly notchy as one can understand it is family run mansion and not a regular hotel chain. So try to soak in history and enjoy the mansion stay in a relaxed way.

We went to see the museum, it was an amazing experience seeing how well preserved things are after all these years. We enjoyed our experience and learnt so much about the family and their life …

A walk into heritage and an opportunity to interact with some of the most interesting and diverse minds and experiences on a single table, accompanied by some authentic traditional catholic Goan cuisine served with as much love as elegance and panache. The soul of this 430 plus year old mansion are Fatima and her vivacious son, Pedro who will fill your heart with stories and humour, in languages from around the world. The history is not just in a million non-living pieces but an immense presence of energies of a million souls who have adorned this house before. The walls speak. The floors dance. Each artifact, photograph narrate their stories with kindness and enthusiasm. Definitely an exquisite and unique experience that should be a must in every traveller's itinerary, visiting Goa.

Best place to stay in Goa! Truly recommend. We’ve stayed for 4 nights and it was perfect! The magical heritage house is gorgeous and full of history but also has all the commodities of a modern luxury hotel. Staff is truly kind and friendly. Bedrooms very spacious, comfortable and very peaceful. Overall it was an amazing experience! As a Portuguese couple I have also to point out that is a ‘must’ in Goa due to all the Portuguese heritage that it offers. Will come back for sure. Thank you.

I stayed 2 times at this mansion for more than 2 weeks in total for business reasons. The owners and the staff here supported my life, providing good and healthy foods, laundry services, tidy and clean room, and logistics. Especially the foods here are very nice and stabilized my stomach health in the country with different culture and climate. I am a big fan of Indian foods, but it is not possible to eat every day. The cuisine here is a good mixture of Indian foods and my familiar western foods. I recommended my colleague to stay here. The museum part was very worth seeing. Paintings and potteries from my country (Japan) before early modern time were impressive for me. The desks and the books there associated how one of the ancestors faced each case sincerely as a judge. I was very happy to feel the long history of not only the mansion or the family, but also the cultures from all over the world.
