We reserved a night at Firebrand and paid a very high price for a King bed room. Upon arrival (an hour after check in time) they put us in a double queen room instead with no explanation to why and we only found out after entering the room. We questioned them on it and they told us “maintenance issue”. Next, operating the shower was so confusing and challenging. They had small instructions but I’m quite surprised a shower could be so confusing. There also was no fan in the bathroom and no trash can. Small but annoying things especially when you pay over $800 for 1 night! The bed was extremely uncomfortable and because my husband is heavier I kept rolling down to his side. We both had the worst night of sleep ever. To top everything off the night we arrived we had appetizers and drinks at the restaurant. There were only two other tables occupied and almost every single staff member but 1 was almost constantly on their phones and not attentive at all. If I ran the hotel I would fire everyone there as it felt like we were almost an inconvenience. I never write reviews but after spending so much money and feeling so disappointed on our anniversary outing I could help warning others before spending their time here. I wish I had spent less at a different hotel as I easily could have and not have dealt with this.

Apart from the lodge at the lake, this is really the only decent hotel in town. The bar is nice, but it really just feels like a loft hotel… One of the subdivisions of a larger hotel company. Not really much that is exceptional about it, or anything that truly sets it apart. I guess I just expected more in terms of personality from the finishes. Quite pricey, but that’s what you get when there isn’t very much competition. The staff are very nice though.

Nice hotel, but not extraordinary. Expected more, given the price. Room was nice, but not much different than a Hampton Inn, just much more expensive. Hotel staff was very friendly. Location has its pluses and minuses. The plus is being close to shopping and lots of restaurants. The minus is excessive road noise. Our room was close to Hwy 93, apparently the only way to get through town. Road noise was constant all night long, especially from trucks. Hwy 93 takes a sharp left turn next to the hotel, and trucks feel obligated to hit the engine brake to make the turn. Had to resort to using earplugs, a huge disappointment for a hotel at this price point. BTW, why no bypass around Whitefish?.

Reserved our room a year in advance. Received our confirmation email on June 20th. Paid quite a bit extra to reserve a room with a balcony. When we arrived they had downgraded our room with no explanation. We spoke with the front desk and they told us they did not know what happened, but the manager would either call us or would definitely meet with us over the next 2 days to discuss. The manager never called us or met with us in person. The hotel is nice, but they do not seem to care about their customers. Very disappointing experience.

Google
Excellent location in downtown Whitefish. We could walk to many restaurants and shops from the hotel. The rooftop area was nice and great for seeing the 4th of July fireworks. The rooms were clean and good size. However, the noise level was very very high even late at night.

Google
This place is impeccable — just absolutely perfect for a long, relaxing weekend or fun trip to Whitefish and Glacier. Awesome rooms with comfy beds, really nice bar with friendly staff, great food, central location that’s walking distance to everything in town, and a stellar rooftop patio with exceptional views and a large hot tub to soak away all your worries. 5/5, all around. Bar staff was amazing and really friendly too, so kudos to whoever’s running this place because they’re killing it.

Google
Five Stars! Amazing place and treated us like royalty for our wedding anniversary. Roof top hot tub and walk to everywhere. Amazing place and great town. Room was top notch and they surprised us with flowers, champagnes and chocolate strawberries

Google
Great hotel, located a couple minutes away from the main street with bars and restaurants. It’s a western/modern vibe, there is a restaurant downstairs with great food and service. Definite highlight is the roof top hot tub, on clear days you can sit and relax soaking in the view of Whitefish ski resort. Rooms are reasonably priced. The hotel staff offered to carry our ski gear to our room. If you’re looking for a hotel to stay in while skiing in Whitefish this is the spot.

Yelp
The Firebrand has a great location in downtown Whitefish and is a good base for Glacier National Park. The ambience is casual and elegant Western and the rooftop deck was nice although no food service was available there (maybe an end of season thing?). The room had two queen beds, comfy, two large armoires, flat screen tv, Wi-Fi, nice bathroom with shower. There were plenty of towels (thank you!!) and the shower got hot quickly (again, thank you!). I think a more upscale brand of shower items should be considered or at least a larger size. Public areas should be attended to more carefully. There were several large carpet stains all throughout our hallway. Coffee? Pets? Wine? Also the second floor sitting area always seemed extremely warm while the second floor hallway was cold. The Fitness Room could use an update (though I appreciate the 24 hour access).

Yelp
Had 3 rooms for a week at this high end hotel. Good Location, good service from staff(mostly). Was given a handicap room when we arrived - MUCH smaller than standard living space in standard room- requested a changed - offered another handicap room. Requested discussion with GM multiple times and NO RESPONSE! I travel a lot and stayed in many handicap rooms - just make sure you are satisfied BEFORE you leave because the GM will NEVER contact you!!

Yelp
This is a very cute boutique hotel! The rooms are cute and cozy. I love the large bathroom and shower. They even have a snack bar in the room with everything packaged so well, with some funny additions. There's a hot tub on the roof with cabanas and a couple of fire pits. It was nice to sit up here in the evening while studying. The view is gorgeous! The staff is friendly and the location is so convenient. You're right downtown and just need to cross the street to all the shops. You can walk to the lake in 15-20 min. I gave only gave three stars because while the aesthetics are great, I didn't feel like the hotel was as clean as most others I stay at, even the lower-end ones. One of the beds had some stuff on it as if someone put their suitcase on it and the wheels left debris on the comforter - which is fine, it's on top, but I would expect this to get dusted off. There was also a hair on one of the pillows that were questionable (did it get stuck in the fibers while washing or was it unwashed?). I also grabbed a washcloth that upon unfolding, had a lipstick print in it (BUT ALSO, LADIES, USE A TISSUE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE). Other than those cleanliness issues, everything else was great.

Yelp
Honestly, there is no chicer place to stay in Whitefish This is a small boutique hotel that focuses on service and luxury. Service is impeccable, rooms are gorgeous (just take a look at the bathrooms) and they have an excellent restaurant. While Firebrand may be only four stories, they have a hot-tub on the roof and you can look over this small town and relax in the thought of being no where. Stargazing here is so memorable. This property is right downtown, so there are many shops, restaurants (Craggy's, Amazing crepes.) that are only a block away. I wanted R & R on this trip and Firebrand hit all the buttons. I will be back... if you're looking for the best, look no further.

Yelp
I enjoyed my meal at the bar. It's great for when you want to just stay at the hotel and relax. I'm not sure if the menus change seasonally.

Yelp
We took a random road trip this last Saturday and ended up in Kalispell at Los Corporales for Mexican food. Delicious! We were wondering where to stay and one of the regulars, I think her name was Holly, told us about the Firebrand Hotel. Beautifully renovated and right in the middle of town! Good price for the time of year (in between seasons) and everyone was so nice - There's also a shuttle that takes you to the sister property The Lodge I think it's called. We walked around town and then went back to go to sleep- MOST comfortable beds and lovely decor. Sunday morning we went up to the rooftop jacuzzi - the views were amazing! Sounds like we have a new tradition after Thanksgiving! Are the beds for sale? If not, they should be :)

Yelp
Very cute boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Whitefish. If nightlife and walkability are your main focus, this is a great place to stay. I visit the area a few times a year and have been wanting to check it out. I was a little disappointed. The 3 stars are due to the lack of cleanliness. The surfaces were all very dusty; pretty apparent they aren't wiped down between stays. The bed was wrinkled and sloppy upon entry as if someone had been lounging on the bed, or that no care had been taken in making it. The carpet looked as if it hadn't been vacuumed very well, if at all. Other than check-in, there was no interaction with the staff. No greetings when leaving or returning. It was kind of an odd feeling, especially for a small boutique hotel. The price wasn't horrible because it's off-season, but it's very pricey during peak times and, unfortunately, I don't think it's worth it. My review would've been much better had the room looked cared for.

Yelp
I'm a local here and recently won a gift certificate to this hotel at my son's school benefit auction. We figured it would be fun to go this summer only to call and find out the gift certificate was not good from June 1st to September 30th. Having managed in the hospitality industry before, I understand the difference between a donated gift certificate and one that is paid for in cash. My wife called to ask if it would be possible to let us book during the blackout period but she was told no. Taking care of your local cliental should be bread and butter but I guess not for Firebrand. Truly a disappointment.

Yelp
With all the positive reviews I thought this place would be a home run, until you realize the recent reviews are terrible. First impression started with the check-in...where we waited 15 minutes while the front desk was on the phone. And without acknowledging us with even a "hi be with you in a moment!". We waited so long I decided to grab us some beers from the bar while we stood there... Later that night we had drinks and listened to the live duo band, that part was awesome, and the room was nice- for these reasons I add a star. Unfortunately things went down from here, when heading back to Our room we ask the front desk (same girl who eventually checked us in) for a wine key to take back to the room. She directs me back to the bar, who then directs me back to the desk- then tells me they don't have any. We have quite a bit of a back and forth - she has a combative approach to my request, and I'm left kind of stunned. (And might I add that for a $300/night hotel this seems like a very simple request). We left the lobby and met two women in the elevator who were just as astounded by the terrible service as we were. The next morning the hotel sent us a text asking us about our experience, so I'm thinking "ok they are directly asking us- so we'll tell them!" They ask for a rating 1-10 and we give them a 2 with a simple note about why. And hear nothing back. I would think that this would have been a great opportunity for them to rectify... but they didn't even reply. It's actually laughable. The location is great, the rooms are nice, the live music was cool, but the service sucks :/

Yelp
Parked in fire zone which is illegal. Was there for twenty minutes but still hospitality at its finest breaking the law for its guests what a deal

Yelp
I had an incredible stay at this wonderful hotel. The staff were so courteous and attentive. My favorite person here was Margaret- she was an absolute sweetheart. She made me feel like family. She checked-in with me often to ensure that my stay was wonderful. She checked me in and provided me information about the amenities and local activity options. The hotel was extremely clean and well-maintained. My room was wonderful and if I needed anything the staff helped make my stay comfortable. Shelby was also fantastic. All around I had a wonderful stay.

Yelp
$1000 dollars total for two one night stays on either side of Labor Day weekend. This place is a roadside motel with some lipstick on it. Small rooms, rude staff, LOUD at night and in the morning!! You couldn't pay me to stay here again. The bar and restaurant open into the second floor creating an echo chamber. One drunk guy can keep half the hotel awake. It's so close to highway 93 and surrounded by other high traffic streets that you hear every logging truck, diesel F350, and ricer exhaust from fast and the furious driving past night and day. Some adventure travel group staging their day at 6am in the lobby and virtually shouting to one another. A random call on the room phone at 3am and housekeeping banging on the door with the do not disturb sign out at 10am were the cherry on top of this bad experience. Manhatten pricing for this "hotel" In Montana . Do yourself a favor and stay at a motel down the road and have a better experience and save $700.

Yelp
Nice place but not for the price. Staff just ok, no information about the hotel or amenities or operations in the room. had to keep asking for basic info most have printed in rooms, or take forever searching online. You can hear everything, heavy doors slamming and talking in the room next to you. Can't turn on bathroom lights without turing on main room lights, wth! Paid $50 for each dog, which they say they will provide a water dish, beds and treats in the room.... nope, kids working the desk had no clue and when asked tried to give the dirty used dish in the lobby. Of course i travel with all doggo needs but if i'm being charged $100 extra for 2 dogs, give me what you advertise! Restaurant just ok, all sauces were overly spicy which ruins meals for many people. The rooftop hot tub was great! Beds super comfy and the location is great for walking to many restaurants and bars. Price does not match what you get which is unfortunate.

Yelp
We stayed at the Firebrand for 2 nights early July. When booking the hotel it appeared to be a resort. So far from that! For $600 per night we had a basic hotel room with a view of a school. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. The breakfast was ok but the service was awful. The place was not crowded and the waitress never came to our table to refill coffee or ask about the food. The food was not piping hot and my husband's poached egg was hard, he specifically asked for a runny yolk. Our dinner experience was better. Our waitress was Jamie, she was the best part of our Firebrand experience. She was attentive without being intrusive. The food was solid but nothing special. The front desk was helpful and responsive to our questions. Our contact Marsha did a good job. If I visit Whitefish again I'll stay at the Hampton Inn.

Yelp
First time staying with the Firebrand. Have lived nearby we saw this building being constructed. But now are back as visitors for work and a bit of fun. The hotel is very nice. It captures the Western feel while maintaining modern design elements. So many places out this way overdue the western style that they begin to look the same. The Firebrand has done a great job at distinguishing itself. We needed a lift from the airport and had been prepared to pay overpriced cab rates for the ride. But a quick call to the hotel and 20 minutes later the shuttle had us on the move. The staff handled the arrangements efficiently, professionally, and all while being upbeat. More of the same for the checkin process. Everything in the room is clean and neat. Water pressure is great. It's mildly hard but i find that refreshing over the soft water of the East coast. The internet has proven to be reliable so far but it does seem slow. So if plan downloading moves you may be in for rough ride. Update- a week later my office vpn is still on the same connection. I was able to stream season 8 episode 1 GoT on my phone without issue. The hot tub was big and felt great after a hard day. Not sure I would want to be anywhere near it on a hot summer day. But if the snow is flying that's a good spot to be.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for three nights on our trip to glacier national Park. We decided to stay here because of its downtown location in proximity to restaurants. Whitefish itself is a cute town that is close to glacier national Park with a beautiful lake. The hotel is modern looking and has all of the standard amenities. One nice aspect of the hotel is its rooftop, which has multiple tables, fireplaces, outdoor couches, and a Jacuzzi. The room itself was nice and clean and the bathroom was really large. The style is sort of modern why having a rustic look. The bed was not very comfortable because it was too soft and both my husband and I woke up with sore backs. In the bathroom there really wasn't any place to put our towels, which is strange for a hotel. The service was pretty good even though they did not regularly check into our room because of COVID precautions. We let them know that we were on our honeymoon and they provided a $15 voucher for an appetizer at the restaurant, which we used for breakfast. They had originally told us that there were no vouchers for a free breakfast but our server accidentally told us that there was. It would've been pretty nice to get that as a honeymoon complementary gift. Regardless they were nice enough to do something for us on our honeymoon. Our room is on the first floor and one of the downsides was that we faced the parking lot in at nine time we could hear some of the cars pull in and people talking outside. Also I'm not sure if the walls were sort of thing but it was relatively easy to hear the gas in the other room including the neighbors dog barking. The location was very convenient because we were able to walk too many of the restaurants to pick up food. We also drove to glacier national Park in about 40 to 45 minutes. We probably won't stay here again if we came to whitefish but we still had a decent stay.

Yelp
This is our first visit for our honeymoon in January 2021 and it has been perfect! We were able to check in a tad early by chance and also provided complimentary champagne as a wedding gift and welcome for our 6 night stay. We are overwhelmed with joy to be here and look forward to coming back yearly (hopefully!). The restaurant is also amazing yet convenient. I recommend this place hands down. With 5 more nights to go, I'll be providing an update with pictures!

Yelp
Not. Happy. Service was subpar. I wrote a whole google review, which I won't repeat here. Room and location is great, but avoid until after their service picks up.

Kurt F.

Yelp
For the price we paid we didn't get any daily maid services like making bed, new towels as needed, empty trash, bathroom amenities, and coffee pods. If we needed something we had to go to the front desk. The other issue is the bartender continues to serve drinks to patrons when they are clearly inebriated. I will never go back there.
google avatar

Ashlyn C.

Yelp
Not very impressed so far.. beautiful hotel and amenities. However, we showed up to the bar at 9:00 pm- 9:30 latest where the bartender said "It was a slow night so I shut it down." (There were 4 of us and would've made it worth his while.) Tonight- I walk outside for a cigarette, and all I hear is the front desk bitching about one thing or another.. I am in the service industry and I do not find it charming or okay.. When I smiled at them and said "hello"; the "shit" talk continued. NOT impressed. Day 3 of being here: 11:37 pm, I go to the front desk where I ask if there is a microwave to warm up some food from dinner, the answer from the man is "well ya I guess." I promptly follow him to the workers headquarters where I put my to-go box in and heat it up. When I am done I go back to him at the front desk and politely ask if he has any plastic silverware. He responds with a "want me to chew it up and swallow it for you too?" ... wow.. what a absolute joke. I don't care how tired, upset or bad day you might be having.. I work in the service industry too.. If you're having that bad of a night; Go home.. What a joke.. I will say; the entertainment and bartenders tonight we're on point. The man behind the desk however, (Dereck/Derick) needs to be checked.. I felt threatened and like I was a problem. NOT OK!!

Yelp
The 5-star overall rating for this incredible Hotel is definitely well deserved. This hotel has one of the best comfy beds I've ever slept on! This is coming from bottom heart travelers, which my husband and myself are.The rooms are cozy comfortable and big, everything with style and clean.Firebrand is a modern hotel and has the best amenities and food in town. We recommend whisky night that has an amazing band with an excellent menu options, sliders and gnocchi was our very fave, during our week stay, we also tried other dishes yummy as well. The atmosphere is incredible amazing we definitively had the time of our life during this trip in Whitefish MT. Location was a big plus to us, since we're always looking to be able to walked around town, all the staff was very helpful and made us feel like home, Grace was an amazing manager that helps thru the entire trip suggesting the best options for us. Definitively a pretty epic trip and hotel

Yelp
Loved this hotel. Incredibly comfortable bed, great shower, friendly front desk staff. Didn't get to check out the rooftop hot tub or eat at the bar, but have heard great things. Will be back
google avatar

Talia D.

Yelp
This hotel is nice enough and is in a very convenient location, however it is NOT worth the price. The price marketed is not what you ultimately pay, we ended up paying an additional $250 in resort and other fees, which ultimately made our room cost more than we've paid for a room at a Four Seasons (yikes yikes yikes!). The beds are comfortable enough, though we could have used more pillows. The bathrooms are nice, but there are no fans (something I find incredibly annoying). The staff was sort of friendly, but not overly so. The rooftop patio is nice enough, but it, along with the hot tub, closes at 10 and the person closing it was kind of grouchy about it. We probably won't stay here again unless we can get a really good deal on a room.
google avatar

Yelp
What an overpriced joke. Our "skyline suite" was the size of a postage stamp - definitely not a suite - and had a fabulous streetside view of hwy 93 and all the semi noise that goes with it. This is MONTANA! Sorry, that's not even close to a "view." When I asked the girl at the front desk for a quieter room, I was told, "We dont have any quieter rooms. This is Whitefish." Sorry, I've lived in Whitefish for almost 20 years. People come here for the natural beauty to be found in every direction, the abundance of outdoor recreation and the genuine warmth of the locals. You don't come here for street noise and snotty attitudes. We left and checked into another hotel. While waiting for me to try and sort out the room, my husband made the mistake of eating 3 almonds in the room. We were charged $11 for the nuts within 3 minutes of leaving. Will never patronize any Averill owned business ever again. That includes the Whitefish Lake Lodge (and their restaurant the Boat Club) and the Flathead Lake Lodge.

Yelp
Pets are welcome. Very friendly staff and a great bar downstairs. 45 minutes from Glacier Park. The front desk offers a Waterton-Glacier park map.

Yelp
Excellent dinner for 6. Great service, food was very good. We liked the calamari and the duck bruschetta was fantastic! Would definitely get again. We will visit again next time we're here!

Yelp
Great hotel! Staff are awesome! Being here a week though, i've had one staff member who was stuffy and difficult to deal with. Very unfriendly. I also asked him if I could borrow a stapler for 10 minutes and was told no. I went down to the business center and the computers don't work. So I sent my document, to print, to the hotel email and when I asked if they could send it up; as I was on a conference call, he said no! This is all the same guy at reception. All the other people at reception and other departments, over the past week, have been wonderful. This one guy made the experience a downer.

Yelp
We stayed at the Firebrand for 3 nights in July. Our business group met in Whitefish for 2 days of meetings in their very comfortable meeting room and then we had one evening at the local Rodeo & a 1/2 day enjoying a Red Bus Tour through Glacier Park. It was was ideal spot to conduct business and pleasure. Lots of great places to walk to eat and shop & fun night life. The lobby has a very comfortable contemporary lodge feel. Good place to hang out and enjoy a drink and visit. One night they had a talented guitar player. Comfy furniture & a fireplace. Beautiful rooms - very comfortable beds. Great staff.

Yelp
We stayed for 3 nights in August 2021. For $500+ a night, I expected a cleaner boutique hotel with greater attention to small details. As previous reviewers have stated, there is nothing special about this hotel. Pros: 1. The location is in downtown Whitefish, a cute town with several great restaurants. It is about 25 miles west of Glacier National Park. 2. The king size room had a good sized bathroom. 3. Abby, a server in the "restaurant/lounge" area was friendly. She provided good service during our dinner. I enjoyed the duck confit. 4. The music provided by Eric Alan on Wednesday night was fun! 5. Nice area on the rooftop, but... Cons: 1. Cleanliness!! The tall closets in our bedroom reeked of mildew. There was someone's shoes left in the closet from a previous occupant. Do they clean the closets? The ice bucket had not been cleaned and the sheets were damp. 2. The shower leaked; therefore, the bathmat became soaking wet after every shower. 3. Our room was on the 2nd floor. The walls are thin and noise could be heard from adjacent rooms and rooms above. 4. Due to Covid, housekeeping is scheduled. We arranged for housekeeping on one morning. We were surprised that they did not restock toiletries in the bathroom. (One small sized bar of soap is provided on arrival. Why not 2 bars of soap for the shower AND the sink area?) 5. No service on the rooftop for beverages. Wobbly/broken tiles by the hot tub. We will not stay at the Firebrand Hotel again.

Yelp
Be careful giving Lexi your credit card. My husband and I have gone here a few times. This last time, Lexi refused to charge us the advertised price for happy hour drinks, told other customers she had worked there for a year, and then added a FRAUDULENT tip of $32.00 onto our bill without our knowledge. I have spoken to McKenzie, the day manager, and Ricky, the food and beverage manager, and they support these actions by continuing to employ Lexi. Be careful she doesn't commit fraud against you, too!

Yelp
We made reservations for Christmas dinner as it was one of the few places open. Not exactly what we expected but the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Definitely a lounge but still was cozy with great live Christmas music. The feature was a beef Wellington with asparagus and potatoes. The Wellington was an overload of peppercorn seasoning, especially with the side of peppercorn sauce. Mine was cooked well but my boyfriends was raw in some parts. The crust was tasty and helped to balance out then seasoning a little bit! We were given only about 3 fingerling potatoes each, would've been nice to have a little more to the plate. However, the eggnog cheesecake was delicious and a very large portion. The servers were attentive and friendly!

Yelp
I am giving one star for the comfortable bed. The front desk employees were not friendly. Not thank you, no welcome. When asking where the restaurant is located, as the employee walks away from us, makes zero eye contact and simply waves her hand and says "over there." The restaurant IS the lobby. The lobby IS the restaurant. While I could see an attempt to make it cozy and comfy, it was uncomfortable and felt like I was in a free breakfast room in a Super 8 motel, except that nothing was free or worth the cost of what was spent on our stay. When attempting to get a drink from the bar, we waited 15 minutes before ever being greeted. The drinks we ordered were horrible. While yes, it's a motel, it was absurdly noisy. We certainly did not get what we paid for. Sadly disappointed. There are better places to stay for less and more convenience and very kind people. I'm not sure what they are aiming for but they are attempting to be a champagne hotel on a beer budget. Pathetic.

Yelp
Took a trip to Whitefish, Mt. to visit family had a one night lay over in Seattle. And we stayed at 3 hotels/Inn total. Seattle hotel was the Inn at the Market, The Hotel/Inn was the Izaak Walton Inn next to the BNSF railroad tracks in Essex, Mt. and in Whitefish we stayed at the Firebrand Hotel downtown Whitefish. All three of these hotels you consider high end places to stay in a high traffic area. The most expensive and most noise at night was the Firebrand we felt like at any minute a truck was coming thru to our room. Yes the main road is right next to the hotel in Whitefish but really when you pay too dollar for a hotel you should not hear the outside traffic like we did. Room size was great bathroom floor was rather cold . Elevators and hallway had pine needles and looked like they had not been vacuumed since the Christmas Holidays Inn at the Market place 4+ Izaak Walton Inn 4.5+ Firebrand Hotel 3-

Yelp
Extremely disappointing stay for what could be a great hotel. Awesome location within walking distance to so many restaurants in downtown Whitefish. We didn't eat at the hotel because the rest of the stay was so disappointing and there are so many better options. We were traveling with a toddler who had already skipped nap and was cranky. We were initially not even greeted when we tried to check in early and had the worst customer service experience. We were told to check back in an hour and our room still wasn't ready. We knew there were plenty of empty rooms due to a snowstorm and many cancellations. We then waited until after check in time and tried at 4:30, still room wasn't ready so they called to get us a different room. The room was nice and clean but definitely not a "suite". We didn't even have room for the pack n play and had to have our son sleep in the bathroom. I had to return our rental car the day before our departure due to a very early flight so scheduled the hotel shuttle to pick me up from the airport. I was told they could not pick me up from the rental car place that was a mile outside the airport. So I shuttled from the rental car to the airport to wait for the hotel shuttle that never came. When I called they said the driver was just now leaving so they ended up being 45 minutes late to pick me up! There was no apology for their mistake which, again, is just terrible customer service. The shuttle driver also told me it would have been easier for him to get me from the rental car place and they were wrong for telling me they couldn't do that. The shuttle was also late for us in the morning to take us to the airport. I got a massage and foot treatment in the "spa" at the hotel which definitely isn't a spa. It is one massage therapist and room with a small relaxation area. This is misleading marketing on their part. They scheduled my services incorrectly and didn't even have the other services listed that I had requested. Luckily she was nice enough to do them afterwards. The scalp massage was nothing more than putting a bunch of oil in my hair. Despite asking for deep pressure it was one of the weakest massages I have ever had. At the end I was told the final would be billed to my room with no option to adjust gratuity despite the disappointing service. There are so many other great options when choosing to stay in Whitefish and I would never again stay at the Firebrand.

Yelp
Super comfy beds. Nicely decorated rooms. The rooftop patio is fabulous and I enjoyed the most beautiful sunset up there. The firebrand's key to fame is location....within walking distance of most of all the best spots in whitefish. Surprise plus is that they dropped that lame $12 parking charge. So yay! There is a complementary beer/wine hour at about 5pm. Totally un-advertised, but very much appreciated. The toiletries in the room are the bulk pump size so they are adding as much to the plastic waste that our country generates at an alarming rate. The beds, I know I said they were comfy, but it serves to mention again. Super comfy high end linens on a feather style mattress. I just slept like a baby! The only negatives was that the lounge still only serves beer/wine....no booze. They say they are working on that. Also does not include breakfast. I'm here in the off season so I think $119 per night is a great deal here. In the peak season at probably $300 per night, I would be less inclined to call it a great deal. But I loved my stay here and would definitively recommend.

Yelp
Ok, I'm going to try and break this down. Spend the extra money for a nicer hotel, this hotel is equivalent to a truck stop except good decor in the lobby. ONLY DIFFERENCE. -paper thin walls, I could hear the upstairs and next to us sneeze, cough, talking. -FRONT DESK STAFF SUCKS. Worst customer service I've ever had. 1. I arrived at this hotel excited I've always thought this hotel was cute on the outside and so I was excited for my stay. 2. I was disappointed when the room was on the same level as the parking lot I did not know that was an option. Not a big deal though I let it go, I asked if I could have a room change to even a second level and they said all rooms were booked this is perfectly fine I went on with my day. 3. Within seconds of being in the room you can hear every cough sneeze and conversation from your neighbors above and next to you as well as every engine from the cars in the parking lot. 4. It was around 11 PM which was funny because they made sure to tell me that quiet hours were at 10 and I could hear laughing from our neighbors due to thin walls, I could hear every sound from parking lot. 5. Again try not to make a big deal I called the front desk to ask if they have earplugs. The guy who answered the phone acted like he never heard the word air plugs in his life. After I was told there was no air plugs in sight I could barely get to sleep. Good things about this hotel the Decor is very cute and very whitefish. The lounge is awesome the music was awesome the staff in the lounge was awesome the staff and the lounge was also very quick to get our order and our drinks! COME FOR DRINKS AND MUSIC! LEAVE TO YOUR BETTER HOTEL FOR PROBABLY THE SAME PRICE!

Yelp
I would highly recommend staying here, the Firebrand is truly awesome!! Grace Flanagan and staff are truly exceptional, the food and drinks are amazing, rooftop with fireplaces and jacuzzi is a great place to relax and unwind. The Firebrand is centrally located in Downtown Whitefish and truly the best location and place to stay. My wife and I stayed here for a week and truly had an amazing time, highly recommend this place!

Yelp
This hotel is top-notch. It's brand new and beautiful inside - the vibe is "mountain lodge" and they spared no expense. Rooms were very comfortable, staff friendly, lobby restaurant and bar was great too. The rooftop was still under construction but will be amazing when they finish. It's expensive, but absolutely worth it!

Yelp
I stayed at the Firebrand on a business trip. Hotel is new and nice, bathrooms are nice, bed is comfortable. The room was a little cramped without much space to relax off of the bed (that may work to your advantage, but I was solo...). Staff was very friendly and professional. The fan in the bathroom or something in the HVAC system runs constantly, kind of like one of those white noise generators. The bar downstairs has a really nice selection of local beers and a pretty diverse wine list. Good location, walking distance to several other downtown bars and restaurants. Drive up to Big Mountain is short, maybe 20 minutes.

Yelp
This review is specifically about the spa, not the hotel. We scheduled a 50 min service + an add on for extra $$$. But the service in total was barely 45 minutes! That is not our expectation for a special splurge treat!! With the add-on, we expected to be pampered for the 50 min + 10/15 more, not less. Huge bummer when it was over. All was professionally delivered, just felt short changed and cheated on the time.

Yelp
I was scheduled to stay at this hotel for 2 nights. Unfortunately there was a death and my travel plans changed. They charge one night plus fees and state that "A deposit of the first night's rate plus tax is required at the time of reservation. If reservation is cancelled or modified within 72 hours, guest is responsible for one night's room rate, as well as resort tax" This all seemed fine so when I called 73 hours prior to the earliest check in time to explain that I was unfortunately unable to travel due to the funeral, I was shocked to find out that they consider an arbitrary time (that they couldn't pinpoint) to determine the 72 hour window. I asked to speak to a manager and they offered that I could send documents supporting the death and they would provide a refund. That seemed fine, but they were unable to tell me what documents would be required except to say that more than an obituary would be required. I don't know exactly what that is and is hardly worth the fight to deal with this in this way. Long story short, in my experience they don't follow their own policies even when asking for something that you are entitled to. As a result I'd recommend not staying here.

Yelp
Picked this hotel because it is in the center of town but the employees are extremely rude! I understand it is Covid and everything but it is unacceptable to yell at people at 9:50 at night and tell everybody to get out of the bar when I was told by Matt when we checked in we could hang out in the longe area as long as we want after 10 PM. Paul, the bartender is very rude and very unaccommodating! He has a major attitude and it really stinks! The only good thing about the hotel is the location and proximity to Whitefish!. After we had an issue with maid service, Bethany, the Manager accommodated me with the promise that they would clean our room for the rest of the week and gave me a free bottle of champagne which was very nice. I just feel like everybody has an attitude here and don't like tourists in a town that is driven by tourism! We will not be staying at this hotel again probably should've stayed at the Lodge at whitefish but it was booked. Oh no that's their sister hotel so maybe it's better and it's on the lake hopefully the employees there are happier and don't have bad attitudes. Matt was extremely helpful and so was Jeremy but they were the only ones that went out of their way to help us. I just don't understand being in the center of town and charging what they charge for rooms and having an attitude like they can't stand any of the tourists that are here. We are the ones that are paying to keep them employed so they should appreciate us and even though Covid is going on they should not have the attitude that they have. We have gone out of our way to tip as good as we can and be as good of guests as we can be but when people treat you like shit no matter what you do it's really unacceptable so I would not recommend this hotel!

Yelp
My favorite place in the valley due to atmosphere and service. I love the wagyu sliders and homemade chips! Best wine selection in the valley too. My fav right now is the Malbec, but they're Italian Pinot Grigio is great if you prefer white.

Yelp
This place is exceptional. Great value, great location, and great hotel. I will definitely stay again. Other reviewers mention thin walls and loud neighbors, but I did not experience that at all. The hotel was fully booked and my room was super quiet. I stayed three nights and slept in late each morning and didn't hear a sound. Best robes I've ever worn too. The only thing that could make these rooms better is to make a microwave available upon request. However, the staff was very nice and heated up my leftovers in the staff break room. Can't say enough about this place. In a town with limited options, the Firebrand is the stand out choice.

Yelp
Stayed here recently and had a nice time. It feels like a "lodge" (to me, I've never been to one) with dark wood and a quiet atmosphere despite being in the downtown area. It felt nice and cozy. It's not a big place and you can tell it's not like a Hyatt or anything. But the room (a "Deluxe") was just fine, with the standard bed, desk, TV, closet, etc. The room also had a minibar plus standard coffee and tea. Pricey if you chose to partake but it's nice to know it was there. Bathrooms were great, although a tub would have been nice for a soak. Water can get hot, so be careful! I also appreciated the option of not necessarily having room service every day (which I didn't realize until the end). I also always felt secure with a deadbolt that I doubt could be opened unless there's a strong outside force that basically has to break the door. This may be minor, but it was also nice that the front desk (all of whom were helpful whenever I asked for help or had questions from how to get to the airport to where to find X) also asked me if I wanted to be placed further away from a traveling companion. This was not a question that applied to me but I know why they asked and appreciated that they picked up on the possibility. As mentioned, the place is downtown but it was so quiet at night, which was a pleasant change although I know someone else who did not have the same experience unfortunately (he said he had a neighbor who was very loud and the front desk didn't do anything but I don't know what the circumstances of that was). They do have a tiny gym (as in, one treadmill if I remember correctly and a space that's really only meant for like 3-4 people max at a time), a spa and some conference rooms in the basement. I did not get room service or eat at their restaurant but I have been told the food is good. The gentleman who drove the shuttle that took me to the airport was quite nice, too. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

Yelp
Housekeeping is not in the habit of changing sheets. Hairs and stains were in my bed on two separate occasions. A blood stain was seen through the sheets from the mattress pad of the new room offered to me. The hotel overall has a cleanliness issue. I could see sheets piled at the end of a hallway in front of a room as I was checking in late at night. The hotel elevators were dirty and needed to be vacuumed. For first impressions, the feeling was not positive.

Yelp
Spent the past 5 nights here and my wife and I really enjoyed the hotel in downtown Whitefish. We drove 3 straight days to Glacier which took 30 minutes to the west gate. The hotel staff is to notch and the bar lounge is a great place to start the day. I will do it again

Yelp
This hotel is amazing. Seriously I love this place. I'm up here a few times a year and Firebrand is not only right in the middle of White Fish and walking distance from everything but customer service is always incredible. Their gym is really impressive. Accommodations are always perfect. Room service, quick and they have a great kitchen. If you're staying in town, I highly highly recommend this place.

Yelp
I would have rated the firebrand 5 stars until this last stay. Here's why: 1. Check in isn't until 4pm - no exceptions unless you work for United airlines 2. Front desk clerk didn't even acknowledge me at the front desk until I said hello, she didn't look up and stated check-in is at 4 3. The service is BEYOND slow...10" to check-in, 5" for a drip coffee at the coffee bar when you're the only customer 4. I was part of a group of 30+ professional women in town for a meeting. We stayed at the firebrand, we also hosted our meeting at the firebrand. Breakfast buffet was not ready at the requested time. We ran out of coffee early in the day, asked for more three times and did not receive it until 3:30PM right before the close of our meeting. Lunch was a far cry from spectacular- ran out of pasta and salad but did not receive more as requested. 5. Late checkouts can only be requested the morning of and they are on a first come first serve basis with a limited number of late checkouts allowed. They also only allow a one hour late checkout-no exceptions 6. If united airline employees need rooms or need to checkout they come first and are bumped ahead of you in line 7. Don't waste your appetite on the food when there are so many delicious options right down the street I still have them three stars because I have stayed many times and this was the first time the service was sub-par. I brag the firebrand up to all my friends and Co-workers and encourage them to stay there when I'm whitefish so i was totally embarrassed when 34 of my coworkers were having a bad customer experience. The rooms and hotel are really nice and clean. The lounge is inviting for a drink with friends. The rooftop is great and you can't beat the location.
