Delicious food and great experience! We came as a group of five and ordered three entrees family style to start — everything was so tasty and filling that we only added two more cornbreads for dessert. The brisket, cornbread, and dill dipping sauce for the sweet potato fries were our favorites. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

We went on a Sunday evening and only had a 10 min wait to be seated at the bar. Service was speedy and the staff were friendly. We loved the Brussels sprouts with the tasty sauce that complimented the other dishes. Cornbread was cakey and delicious with the butter on top. The panko fried fish was tender and the fries were good too. The lava flow drink was tasty too. We’ll definitely be back

I grew up eating BBQ in Texas and have to say this was top 3 I’ve ever had. The meats were all perfection. I’m so glad we left the lame resort food for this local spot! Get there early so you don’t have to wait outside. And make sure you get the cornbread. Our waiter, (I think his name was Ben, a teacher on the island) was so kind and welcoming. We loved our experience here and it was the best meal of our trip hands down.

Google
I'm not usually a big fan of pork BBQ, but this place completely changed my perspective. The meat was incredibly tender and perfectly cooked—truly the best pork BBQ I've ever had. The grilled fish was also excellent—moist, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. This is a must-try spot for food lovers visiting Waimea.

Google
Every review that I’d previously read had me absolutely ecstatic to visit this spot. I was so glad that I did. The food is mouth watering, so tasty that I’ve thought of it multiple times since visiting. I will return every time that I visit Hawaii. What an absolutely local legend of a restaurant. Worth the wait entirely (which was about twenty minutes).

Google
We went on a busy Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious. We added our name to the waitlist after about a 15-20 minute wait just for the hostess to have a chance to take our name down (she was so busy!). We took our kids to play at the playground down the road while waiting 45 minutes for a table and they had a lot of fun. Unfortunately once we were seated we were next to a large, very loud group. We couldn't hear each other talking or anything the server was trying to say to us. We requested to move and they did accommodate us pretty quickly. After that we had a great meal. The food was worth the wait. I especially loved the Reuben Spring Rolls appetizer. If we lived on the island I would definitely want to go back! The place was highly recommended to us by a local we met in Hilo who said she and her friends often drive out for day trips.

Google
First time at this restaurant. There was a long wait, but we elected to sit at the bar. We were greeted by Travis, who provided excellent service and insight on the are of Hilo. I ordered the ribeye (medium). It was delicious, served with onions and mushrooms. As a side I had BBQ beans and white rice. Overall, the place gives a home feeling in the countryside. We will definitely revisit on our next trip here. Thank you for the hospitality Travis!

Google
Popular place in Waimea, we had been wanting to try. It can be very busy (small place) with long wait times but we got in with about a 30 min wait. Reservations are not accepted and full party must be present you have to wait outside until called for seating due the fact it is small. But it was quite good. Service was very good, really staff from the host, wait, bus, etc. Desserts are HUGE, homemade, can share with 4 people easily.

Yelp
Food is awesome service even better! Will be back very soon Keep up with great work

Yelp
Came here with my family and what a surprise--everything we ordered was a hit. The onion soup was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. I had the fish tacos, which were fresh and well-seasoned, and sampled some of the BBQ--tender, smoky, and legit. But the real star? The banana pudding cake. Easily one of the best desserts I've ever had. Light, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. Laid-back atmosphere, friendly service, and seriously good food. Definitely a must-stop in Kona.

Yelp
We stopped in here after a sunset horseback ride with Paniolo Adventures (recommended!) for a bite before heading back to Keahou. It was 8:30 pm and they were closing at 9:00 pm. The waitress was not rude but she was definitely rushing us. Our dinner came moments after receiving our salad. She was trying to clear our place before we were completely finished. Also they started cleaning up all around us while we were still eating. We were not being slow or dillydallying either...and we were not the last party in there....so this was annoying if not a bit rude. Also the food was ok, not great. The brisket was a bit dried out, the beans were meh, and the sweet potato fries were on the soggy side. I also note that my digestion has been a bit upset since eating here a couple of days ago....but I cannot say for sure it was from here or somewhere else, and I definitely have a sensitive digestive tract. I can't say that I would go back here.....

Yelp
While they may be known for BBQ they have a lot more to offer! The service is always a 10 and the ambiance is upbeat and casual. It's always worth listening to the daily specials and the fresh catch has never let me down! Sample the sauces and enjoy the service!

Yelp
Often times it's hard to get really good local food on the island. Most places are at the resorts and overpriced. The other choices are hit and miss. This place is always a winner. It's just very solid BBQ. It's cute and quaint and very much the style of Waimea. There is almost always a wait, and you can see why when you come. The food and the cocktails are just really dang good. I didn't get photos of all the food, because my family was digging in before I could get photos. We got the brisket, and it was some of the best I've had. (And I used to live in Texas) The fries are really fresh and unique. Definitely not like a typical restaurant fry. The French onion soup and gumbo were spectacular! Absolutely amazing. So deep with flavor, it's like a flavor bomb in your mouth. The BBQ sauces are all unique. I love the crackseed, it's tangy and not super sweet. The only complaint, we got the fresh fish of the day and had it panko crusted. It was very fishy, and almost inedible to someone sensitive to that flavor. The service was good. Our server was friendly and helpful. The host Tamara was unbelievably sweet and accommodating. This is a gem for Big Island. I highly suggest you try to make it here.

Thomas C.

Yelp
If you are craving BBQ, but you also want some lighter options like Fish, this is the place. Just know the dinning room is smallish there will be a wait. We were a party of 4 at 6:30 and it was maybe 10 mins. Seems to open up around 7:15. Food was great, traditional BBQ, ribs were fall off the bone tender. My son got a cheeseburger and it disappeared quickly so I will take that as a good sign. Our daughter had the pulled pork and Mac, she loved it. Spouse went for the Mahi Mahi salad and she was impressed. It is a bit of a drive from the coast, but totally worth it. Eat local, you will enjoy it!

Yelp
One of the best Gumbo soup I've ever had. Their brisket taco is an essential combination! Their chocolate layer cake is amazing and huge! Great atmosphere and proper staff! They are very professional! I sat at the bar and I felt so comfortable. Nick the bartender is fantastic and very knowledgeable! I can't wait to come back on this local gem!

Yelp
Easily the meal we had this vacation. The food was excellent, down to every sauce and garnishment. Service was relaxed and friendly. Overall ambiance was good. Even our picky teenagers really liked this place. Come early because some menu items run out fast! Will definitely mark this place to come back next time!
google avatar

Yelp
So darn delicious! Their pastrami is as good if not better than many Jewish deli's with famous names! And the banana pudding pie? OMG! Last but not least, we had at least four staff members come by to tell us how much they appreciated us being there. They understand that they need to get the visitors in Waikoloa to make the drive up to Waimea to thrive. They deserve every penny based on quality of service and the food is top notch!
google avatar

Michele W.

Yelp
Delicious! Fun atmosphere. The sweetest hostess on the island. Our server was on it! Brussel sprouts were the bomb! And tater tots a must. We ordered a plate of brisket for 3 of us to share. Plenty of food. Best brisket I have had in a long time!

Mai W.

Yelp
Highly, highly recommend, 10/10 experience! The Fish and The Hog is our new favorite spot in Waimea! We were blown away by the huge portions at such a great price, easily enough for a whole second meal. We ordered the sampler, rib eye, Caesar salad, and brussels sprouts... every single dish was packed with incredible flavor. Beyond the food, the service truly stood out. The staff ran this bustling little spot like a well-oiled machine. Our food came out quickly, tables were bussed with care, and everything just flowed seamlessly. Special shoutout to the sweetest hostess ever and the kind, attentive servers. Your aloha spirit shines through! As foodies, we notice the details, and this place gets it all right. Mahalo for an amazing meal and experience. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Service is great and some of the food is very good but not everything was good. My friend got the Chinese chicken wrap which was the special for the day and loved it. Her husband ordered the Chicken drumstick and also loved it. It came with a white bbq sauce that he said was really good. My husband ordered the French dip sandwich and said the sandwich had medium flavor and was a little dry. The dip was French Onion soup which he liked. I ordered the fish of the day which was mahi mahi in panko. It was dry. The sweet potato fries and regular French fries were good. The cornbread was excellent.
google avatar

Yelp
I mean...O M G I thought I died and went to heaven when eating this meal. Hands down the best Reuben and Mac n cheese I've ever had. We started with the tater tots and they were just amazing. My mom and I split the Reuben and brisket Mac n cheese and I would highly recommend others do the same. It just melts in your mouth, we were in pure bliss. The brisket plate and brisket tacos looked fantastic as well. We were so full so we didn't get to enjoy the banana cake, but we got a slice to-go!! Service was great and it's a cool farm vibe inside. It truly lived up to the hype!
google avatar

Yelp
Another great meal at the Fish and the hog! I had the pineapple mint tea and loved it, slight mint flavor tea with pineapple juice. The food was delicious! Service was great. Remember to be patient as this place is packed and small. Plenty of parking in their expanded parking lot.

Yelp
We always have a great time at The Fish and The Hog. Their fried fish, sandwiches, and desserts are fantastic. I've had their sliced brisket twice now and although it is tender it has been a bit dry both times. The banana cream pie is 10/10. Arrive early and expect to wait 15-45 minutes during the dinner rush.
google avatar

Yelp
I love these farm style barbecues, and this one was better than many I've been to in the South. The ribs, cornbread, brisket, sweet potato fries are the standouts I tasted. The deserts are delicious. Their table sauces are their weakest point. The service was very friendly and inviting. The inside was cozy and matched the food perfectly
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Some of the best mainland-Southern-style barbecue I've had in Hawaii, with a local twist. The beef brisket is juicy and tender, the shredded pork is succulent and tender, and the barbecue sauces are made with local ingredients. The service is wonderful, if you tell them you haven't been there before, they take the time to introduce you to the restaurant and the menu. The decor is old country farmhouse. Pull up a chair and get comfortable because they're going to feed you well! Don't miss the corn bread, it's incredible- tastes like fresh sweet corn with a touch of chili pepper, and the coconut cake slices are both huge and delicious!
google avatar

Acira M.

Yelp
Love this place!! So many options to choose from. Out of the appetizers I would recommend the tater tots that are topped with parmesan, bacon, green onion, and a sauce. The poke nachos were also loaded and so flavorful. Garlic shrimp wasn't what I expected but was still good, might not order next time. Since the appetizers were heavy I decided to go with the fish salad as my main course and it did not disappoint!

Dana W.

Yelp
This place is a MUST try. Their fish is fresh, delicious, and their service is warm and friendly. Would definitely go back for sure! A lovely local spot!

Yelp
After visiting the Hilo side of HI, we went home via Waimea and stopped off at the Fish and the Hog around 3pm on a Thursday where there was no wait. Here is what we ordered: Bloody Mary Fried Pickles Poke Nachos - skimpy on the poke Mac N' Cheese with Smoked Brisket Pulled Pork with Beans + Cornbread The Sampler with Sweet Potato Fries + Beer Battered Onion Rings Banana Cream Pie - While we licked our plates clean, what stood out to us was that all the fried items were A+ because the items were crispy. As for the smoked items, though everything was tender, the ribs seemed like they had the most smoke and best texture. For the sauce, there was the Paniolo Sauce and the Cracked Seed Sauce which were both unique, but on the salty side.
google avatar

Kim K.

Yelp
Worth the wait! Service was prompt and lots of inside AC seating. We came on a weekday and it was a ~45 minute wait for two but we'll worth the wait. We got the fish of the day (Mahi) and brisket tacos. The fish was perfectly cooked and a great portion for the price. Husband said tbe brisket tacos were good too. Awesome tropical cocktails as well! Would love to make it back.
google avatar

Yelp
Sophie (10) pork street tacos The tacos were really yummy. The pork was the best I've had in Hawaii! Great amount of food. Josie (13) macaroni and cheese with pork It was soooo good and huge! You could tell the cheese sauce was homemade. Everyone was super duper nice. Katie- French Onion Soup Delicious! I have never had scallions on top but it had a good crunch and contrast to the onions in the soup. The service was above and beyond! I tried the bbq sauce and the flavor is so unique. We are taking a bottle home! I can't wait to try the slice of pie we grabbed for later. The restaurant has a cute farm feel and warmth. What a gem! Marc-Poke Bowl The poke bowl was everything I was looking for! The flavors were really well balanced and fresh. I appreciated how thin the chips were and nicely salted.

Yelp
We were greeted and put on a waitlist at 11:47am. I can see why this place sells out daily the food is good. We shared the bbq sampler and poke of the day. It was the best poke on the trip. We sat at the bar and had awesome service from Nick. I highly recommend this place in Waimea. The building is also over 100 years old which adds to the charm.
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots to eat while visiting the Big Island! The Fish and The Hog screams island old-school charm. Just hanging out on the front porch on tiny stools felt like a classic way to pass the time--laid back and welcoming. As for the BBQ? It's solid. I went with the sampler platter--brisket, pulled pork, and pork ribs--and really enjoyed it. Definitely worth the wait. I paired it with an island Moscow mule, which was fantastic and refreshing. But the real star of the show? The banana cream pie. Hands down the best I've ever had anywhere in the world. It will absolutely knock your socks off!

Grace A.

Yelp
During my stay in Hawaiʻi, I'm really glad I made time to stop by and try their BBQ brisket sandwich with house fries. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted right away and seated at the bar. Travis, the bartender, was nothing short of awesome--super attentive and made sure I was well taken care of throughout my visit. The food came out fast, and everything hit the spot. The brisket sandwich was flavorful and filling, and the house fries were the perfect side. I also ordered a ginger ale, and the fizz was on point--a small detail, but appreciated! The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a classic BBQ spot--casual, cozy, and welcoming. Between the hospitality and the quality of the food, I'd definitely recommend stopping by.

Yelp
We were lucky to have Jess too. She was very pleasant and made good suggestions to our order. We had the appetizer Tater Tots to start and it went pretty quickly as we were all hungry. The have it set up pretty good inside and we were served pretty quickly. You walk in the front they encourage you to walk through the back to leave. We only had to wait about 20 minutes during dinner time on a Monday. I thought the Sampler plate was perfect amount. The cornbread was ok but the grilled pineapple was delicious as well as the pork. The meats I liked the baby back ribs the most. My daughter had the sweet potato fries with a side salad. She liked the sweet potato fries over the regular fries. My wife had the salad with her choice of meat while my other daughter had the bacon cheeseburger and said it was really good.

Yelp
Ok so we have been to the big island quite a few times now. We have always heard great things about this place but never had a chance to stop in. We finally made it and it did not disappoint! The pull pork Mac n cheese was insane. It is heavy so be prepared to shore or bring it home. The brisket tacos...can I just say like m&ms they melt in your mouth. I went with the bbq sampler and it is big definitely big enough to share and I did some research ahead of time so went with the double cornbread side. Don't be afraid to go for it...you will be mad if you only get one. So about that sample...brisket just melts....it has great flavor and if you go with their smoke bbq sauce which they have 3 types on the table...it is a perfect pairing. The pulled pork is better than what I had in Nashville...top notch. I paired that with their smoke bbq crackseed bbq sauce.. it is a sweeter sauce and makes all the flavors pop. The ribs were juicy, smoky and cooked to perfection. Last came the sausage...I am not a big eater of sausage in general but this was one you will not be disappointed with. It has the right amount of smoke and spices and will make you want to keep eating. I did mention the cornbread didn't I? Oh yea there is nothing better with bbq then moist cornbread with green chile and the butter was nuts. I could eat that for breakfast. The service was fast l, friendly and amazing. Our waitress was Mailani and she gave us great feedback on what she liked. Let me tell you...she told us the Brussels were great and she never had eaten them til she started working there. We got some and they were up there with the crazy expensive restaurants I have been to and dare I say better? My wife did the lilikoi mule it was delicious and I did pineapple mint tea...amazingly tasty. Mint tea with pineapple juice and a slice of pineapple...wow just amazing. The place is on the small size but as many mention they turn tables quick and you feel like a local. It is not too loud and easy to converse. This place should be a must stop if you are on the big island. Get out and get some deliciousness! We will be back...again and again. Now I want more cornbread!

Yelp
We got here at a weird hour slightly after lunch, but it was still busy! We were told it would be 30-45 minutes wait, so we put our number in, and went to explore a nearby area. We got called within 15 minutes to let us know our table was ready! We had to rush over, but fortunately, they kept our table, and the hostess was so kind about it! we got the sampler so we can try a little bit of everything, and a calamari. They were both absolutely delicious. The pork ribs fell right off the bone, and the pulled pork with kimchi was delicious. The brisket was tender as well. Everything was seasoned just right. And this high praise is coming from a texan visitor! Our friend got the corn bread side, and it was delicious. Will highly recommend skipping the fries and doing the cornbread as a side! Servers were also super friendly and nice, 100% recommending this place!

Vin S.

Yelp
The place was crazy busy for a mid-afternoon. I thought the Fish and the Hog would be empty, but we had to wait, which was a really good sign. It was worth the wait. I ordered the fish taco salad, which was outstanding. The fish was not overcooked and all the veggies were fresh and yummy. Mel ordered the brisket, which was tender and delicious. The ambience is country BBQ, which fits the bill nicely. The staff is friendly and helpful. 5 Stars.

Yelp
Best hostess ever!! Amazing hospitality and delish food. We ordered the fish and chips- yum- and the incredible French dip sandwich. Efficient and super good!! And kind folks work there as well.

Yelp
Reception was so sweet. Very welcoming and fast. They bbq every day so if it's gone, then it's gone! Bbq was good. Sampler is a good option for first timers like us. The fried ribs were delicious but on the sweet side- meat fell right off the bone. The real winner was the banana cream pie.... We brought this back home in our cooler and absolutely devoured it. We don't typically get cream pies, but the server said it was the best dessert on the menu, and it was good! We will definitely go back next time we are in Waimea.

Jessica R.

Yelp
The best tasting food we have had on the island. Pastrami sandwich and cornbread were our favorites. Food came out quickly and very friendly service. Cocktails were also tasty.

Yelp
We decide to skip a day on the beach at our resort and do a little road trip and see some other options for our next visit to the Big Island, with family and grandchildren we ventured off to an area suggested by one of the bell man. I am always interested where the working staff like to eat and frequent and tend to stay away from the touristy locations when we travel. Let's face it we all want good food and great prices when we are traveling and the local working people have that knowledge in my opinion. So we headed to Waimea from our resort and got to Fish and Hog shortly before they were opening, when we pulled into the parking lot there was already a line of people waiting to get in. Known for their smoked and BBQ meats as well as fresh fish we were excited to try this location, about 25-30 minutes from the coast the drive was very scenic and the temperature was a lot cooler than when we left the beach. Unfortunately having the grandkids at the table I was not able to grab pics of the delizioso entrees we ordered ( if you have toddler grandchildren or children you know what I am referring too) Our server was very helpful and accommodating and happily helped decide on what to order, great ambiance and reasonable prices. Our entrees included an amazing fresh Poke Bowl, Blackened Mahi Mahi with sweet potato fries and cornbread as well as a 2nd order of fresh Mahi Mahi Panko crusted with House-made Cole slaw and cornbread, Mac n Cheese ( which was very good) and we finished with a piece of their most excellent Chocolate Cake for the table to try, we were told that their desserts were incredible and was hoping to try the Banana Cream Pie but they had just opened and it hadn't been prepared yet. All in All it was a great place to dine at and the food was plentiful and tasted amazing. The smoked meats looked incredible as well as the rest of the dishes offered on the menu. They offered a full bar with plenty of local beers as well. We will be back to explore the menu further but have to say be prepared for a small wait, it's definitely worth it and you won't be disappointed. Mangiamo!

Yelp
For a change of pace from our beach-side hotel, so we drove inland to The Fish and The Hog. I'd describe this as island rustic. It is very casual, even by island standards. The staff was quite busy and you'll be sitting very close to the other customers. It's a bit loud inside. But the people watching is pretty good. You'll see from my pic, the wait line is outdoors (so plan accordingly if it's going to rain). Fortunately, there are some small shops in this complex to browse as you wait. We started with the Brisket Mac n Cheese. As you can see from my pic, this is a BBQ place. There was plenty of brisket, great smoke, and the right amount of sauce to add flavor but not so much as to drown the meat or the Mac n Cheese. The cheese sauce was rich and creamy. There wasn't any scrimping of calories or flavor in this dish (or should I say pan). We also shared the Fish Plate (as you can see in my pic, there wasn't any plate but it was served on a tray). The fish filet was cooked well. Both the sides were good. Being a BBQ place the beans were good - you can see in my pic they had a nice variety of beans. We'd go back; it added a bit of diversity for us.

Yelp
This was about an hour drive from our hotel, but it was so worth the time to get there. This is an amazing place and the service was excellent. My wife had a Poké bowl and absolutely loved it. I had the pulled pork and grilled pineapple and it was fantastic. Both our dishes were fresh and served quickly. This is the type of restaurant when they run out of smoked food or fish they stop serving or close. They do not take reservations, but we highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Aditi M.

Yelp
Amazing, authentic experience and the barbecue was outta the world. It's the entire experience including the drive up to the Waimea area specifically for this spot, that was just so satisfying

Yelp
Holy Moly GO HERE if your on the island. We only wish we had found it before our last day. Food was AWESOM. Great service and great location/atomosphere. I'm an amateur BBQer and I've eaten BBQ all over the United States and this place is right up there.

Yelp
Came in at 7 PM and unfortunately they were out of some of the best cuts of meat. My sister and I had the pulled pork platter with coleslaw and fries and a grilled shrimp add on, as well as the smoke pork tacos and poke nachos. The poke nachos were flavorful but if you really want the bang for your buck, I'd recommend Umekes in Kona instead. The chips were dry and thick, and the toppings were not nearly enough for the amount of chips. I felt like the fish was finished before 1/2 of the chips were gone. The pulled pork platter with coleslaw, fries, and grilled shrimp was magnificent, but the smoked poke tacos were very mid, and honestly a 3/5 star meal. at the end of the meal we had the chocolate. Take slice that was extremely moist and had a fine layer of chocolate ganache frosting. Overall I think we may have missed the best offerings here but from what we did have, I think it was good but not great, other than the pulled pork and grilled shrimp. Service was great though, even on a busy evening, and the ambiance of the restaurant felt very warm and lively. Also please check your bill when the server comes with the electronic card reader-- they charged us someone else's tea, even though the original receipt they brought to the table didn't show it. While the charge wasn't much, it was super disappointing that it happened at all.

Yelp
It was my first time at this place (also first time in Hawaii) and I had an awesome time. The restaurant had some cute decor gave me Lucille's BBQ vibe but island style, and was very accommodating for my big party of 10. The food was also a hit. The mac and cheese is a must, and the BBQ and bbq sauce was so good ! I ordered the brisket dip on a roll and it was so good. The service was A+ not only was our server super attentive but super helpful as well. We explained that due to hurricane Milton we detoured to Hawaii but was still having an amazing time. It was my sons birthday and made him feel so special by bring him a slice of cake and sing to him. The chocolate cake was soo moist and flavorful i would toyally recommend. This is a great stop if ur looking to enjoy a good dinner with the family or even just a good lunch alone.

Yelp
EXTREMELY upset with the service. My grandma waited in line for 15+ minutes just for them to tell her that she couldn't place a takeout order because they were "short staffed". She then asked if she could be seated at a table instead, which she was denied, which makes NO sense whatsoever. Our family has been in the service industry for a really long time, so we understand long wait times and everything. As a server myself, I'm just baffled and very frustrated by the situation.

Yelp
Great food! My kids had the brisket Mac n cheese and only my oldest could finish it...large portions. My wife and I shared the sampler platter. She loved the pulled pork, I felt the brisket or ribs tied for to on the plate, but the sausage was really good too. Sorry no pictures of food we started eating as soon as it was brought to our table. We finished with a couple slices of coconut cake that were massive. See picture The staff and service were fast, efficient, and supper friendly! The restaurant is small but had a very homey ambiance. Highly recommend coming here versus Kona or Hilo touristy spots.

Yelp
There's a line before they even open, that's how amazing their food is! You cannot go wrong with anything on their menu! But my husband said the ribs are THE BEST he's ever had and he's had his fair share of bbq in the south and his own smoker. I ordered the brisket and cornbread and I'm salivating at the memory of the deliciousness of it all. My son had the brisket tacos and he loved it! Great flavors all around and cooked to perfection. This place is small but they definitely know how to handle their growing crowd, didn't have to wait long and service was very warm!

Yelp
Excellent barbecue and fresh poke. We had the barbecue sampler. The barbecue brisket and ribs were best followed by the pulled pork and sausage. We're from Houston, Texas and can say this barbecue is on par with Texas barbecue. The poke is very fresh and the portion sizes are large.

Yelp
My family and I stopped in for lunch at The Fish and The Hog and so glad we did. The staff helped us quickly find a table and promptly started waiting on us. The waiter was very informative and helped us make some great lunch choices. We definitely indulged! I welcomed all the calories I could during this lunch and enjoyed the smoked brisket Mac n cheese! It was amazing! My parents shared the BBQ sampler and it came out with plenty of smoked meats to include brisket, sausage and chicken. The restaurant was clean and cozy, very well decorated. They also have a full bar, in case you want to have a few cold ones with your meal. It was a great experience!

Yelp
Dinning in was so pleasant we were greeted with aloha and got taken care of very well the waiter was very attentive. We don't expect for anyone to accommodate for our baby but she was very kind and even gave our baby pineapple slices while we waited for our pupus. Everything was very good I loved the poke nachos, the broccoli cheddar was so yummy and the pineapple mint drink was so refreshing it was al very good and everyone was very nice. 20/10 would recommend

Yelp
Absolutely incredible! We got here right at 11:30 when they opened and thankfully we got in (make sure your whole party is there to be seated). We got a great spot and had and an incredible server, Princess. They were so attentive and got us our food so fast! What we ordered: - Brussels sprouts (off the hook) - wings (not flats) perfectly fried and crispy with the most amazing sauce - brisket Mac n cheese - ribs with sweet potato fries and jalapeno cornbread - mocktail mule The space was super cute and had plenty of seating. So glad our friends brought is here!!! Would 10000000% come back

Yelp
We visited once during our brief stay on the Big Island and loved it so much that we came back for another meal! The service was very friendly and efficient. My husband absolutely loved the poke bowl. We also tried the brisket mac and cheese which was indulgent and delicious with their barbecue sauce. The BLAT was also perfect. Definitely don't sleep on the desserts! We got the coconut cake to go and it is delicious! The perfect moist cake with sweet coconut frosting. I wish we'd tried the banana cream pie. Be sure to get there early or plan on a bit of a wait for a table, but it is definitely worthwhile!

Yelp
This restaurant was soooo good! We made a special trip inland to this restaurant to try it out. We read the reviews before coming and they were all exceptional! We're hoping for a two top and not have to wait long, and it was about 20 minutes as quoted. The restaurant has this farm kind of barn like vibe to it. From the looks of the patrons, they were a mix of locals and tourists like ourselves. I had the blackened daily fish with sweet potato fries, which was exceptionally cooked! My boyfriend had the MOINK- cleverly named as it was a brisket burger topped with pulled pork and bacon and what they call the crackseed barbecue sauce, WHICH IS DELICIOUS! LIKE SMOTHER IT ALL OVER ALL OF YOUR FOOD. Whether you're nearby or not, make it a trip in. It's worth it!
