Dining here is just absolutely amazing. The seafood is fresh and juicy. The view is absolutely breathtaking. Snapper was cooked to perfection. Not to mention, the oysters are the one to go for as well. Service is not only professional, welcoming but also swift.

Google
Food 4 stars, good selection of oysters and whole fish. The fish&chips was a bit dry. Location 5 stars, just in front of the beach and with a great view. Service 3 stars, the staff was very kind and friendly, but the main was very slow to come. Overall would recommend for a seafood lunch.

What an experience as dining here is simply superb. The night city view is amazing. The entree king prawns and scallops are winners in their own rights. The mains toothfish and ocean trout are to die for. Excellent wait staff and really patient with kids. Easily one of the best dining on the coast!

One of the best seafood restaurants I've been to in Australia. Produce is fresh and the service is excellent. Well worth the price. This time we decided to try the Rainbow Trout and it was melt in the mouth delicious.

Google
Service and location is great - nice cosy house with beautiful lighting. Staff ensured that we are well taken care of, even asking if we would like more sides and bread while we were finishing up our main dishes! Food wise, flash fried calamari was fantastic, it was done just right, dip was also refreshing. My blue eye cod was flavourful and cooked beautifully, the only complaint was that it gets a little dry and tough after a while. The whole fish was also deep fried to perfection, however as it was served drenched in the sauce, the skin was less crispy than we'd hope it to be. Flavours were still great though. The sides were a good addition, especially love the roasted potatoes! Couldn't stop eating them! Overall, good experience.

This place is closing soon. Such a pity. One of the best seafood on the coast accompanied with the view onto the burleigh shore. Service is down. Apparently it’s hard to keep it up to the standard when you know that it’s final days. Hope they will open something new soon

Yelp
I went there with my girlfriend without booking, fortunately we have table that sharing with others. I will recommend that make a reservation before you go there. First of all the environment is pretty good, lights quite dark but the atmosphere is nice. A bit noisy but it's acceptable. As other people mentioned that the fish is fresh, that's true, but maybe it's personal taste issue the fish is not that tasty as i expect. Last, the price is quite expensive, we ordered three dishes for $180.

Yelp
What a marvelous restaurant. This is definitely a must visit if you are in the Gold Coast area. It is situated just at the national park entrance of the Burleigh Heads area. It is just across the street from the beach - and offers a beautiful view (with a few passing cars) of the beach. But the food. Wow. Fresh pieces of fish - cooked mostly natural and perfectly. We had a dozen oysters, including delicious Tazmanian oysters. And then continued on with a beautiful piece of swordfish from Mooloolaba. It was slow grilled, and then served with a little veal au jus and topped with a small creamy piece of Foie Gras. We also had the jumbo prawns which were bold, bright and tasty. With each entree - they also bring you a selection of sides a part of the meal. Our included a bowl of bright vegetables with snow peas, a bowl of oven baked potatos, fresh cos salad. For a treat, be sure to try their house made tartar sauce on your potatos (but don't on the fish. It needs no such thing). The staff there was friendly and helpful. They paired beautiful local wines with each course. And were generous with the time and energy. This is a place I would return to any time in the area!

Yelp
Food and service was good. We were a group of over 25 diners and the restaurant coped well with a set menu. This was oysters, scampi, fried calamari, risotto and steamed fish. The Scampi was particularly good.

Yelp
Unfortunately my husband and I were very disappointed with our experience at the Fish House. We choose to experience the Dégustation Meal with wine pairing. Firstly our first dish was presented before our cocktails and we had to send it back. Then when we finished our pre-dinner drinks again the dish was presented but before our wine was served, this unfortunately happened a few times and the dishes were appearing before the dish before was complete. The dishes were tasty, except the portions were minuscule. Imagine 3/4 if a cup of risotto to share between the two of us. The soup was disappointing, watery and not seasoned well. We have so enjoyed this type of eating in our many travels and this restaurant charged so much for so little! Again, very disappointing!

Yelp
My experience at The Fish House was absolute perfection. Food was outstanding, service was 9.5/10 (could have been slightly more attentive for mine), however overall I was extremely satisfied as was my dining companion. We had the tasting menu, which I recommend. The oysters were fresh, pan fried calamari was al dente, and the lemony soup was a revelation! Finally the tooth fish was incredible, and the sides were so morish. For dessert we had the creme brûlée and citrus tart, just delish. The wines were also perfect and delicious.

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance exceeded our expectations. We all had a whole fish and a beautiful entree. The rainbow trout, calamari and squid are highly recommended. It is pricey but worth it I think. I look forward to returning.

Yelp
Fantastic in all respects. Choices to make any seafood fan happy. My only complaint is that the popularity of the Burleigh Heads view makes parking difficult. Valet parking, perhaps? :-)

Yelp
I'm not big on seafood, but I've fallen in love with this place. Everything from the food to the service is simply fantastic!

Yelp
Across from Burleigh beach, this restaurant is really lovely inside. The decor is well done, and the service is at a high standard. I have only been here once, and the food was delicious. The waitress gave good recommendations on what to order. However, if you are going to eat here be prepared to pay for it. It is expensive, but I suppose that what you get with great food and better service. I do recommend it, but I won't be going back too often, as I feel there are other places that might be slightly better value.
