The Fishwives - Quality Fish & Meat

Our Christmas Eve party was completely ruined. The turkey, ham, and salmon, scheduled to arrive between 4–6pm, did not turn up until after 10pm. At 745pm, we received an email that our food would arrive at 8pm. It did not. We called repeatedly, countless times, and received absolutely no response. From 6–10pm, we were frustrated and anxious, debating whether the food would ever arrive or whether we should rush out to find food for our family and guests. The stress and disappointment during those hours were overwhelming, and frankly, I don’t even want to relive or detail the emotional toll it took. When the delivery finally arrived at 1020pm, we reject it. At that point, it was far too late. This was unacceptable and completely ruined what should have been a meaningful Christmas Eve gathering.

Rebecca's amazing glazed Christmas hams have become a very important family tradition. Unbelievably delicious. When not in Singapore I religiously follow the recipe. A huge thank you to Kim for cooking this year's delicious delight and for the personal delivery. The French turkey was also soooo moist and delicious. Wishing you all at Fishwives the very best of the season.

Fishwives is the place where I get my family supply of fresh salmon for meals and sashimi. A friend recommended the Akaroa salmon and I had been a customer since 2018. Quality of Fishwives products and customer service standard had been consistently upheld through the years. I appreciate the clean and fresh scented shop space to browse and shop. Also grateful for the friendly and helpful staff reserving my favourite salmon slabs for sashimi upon request. Even during the tough period of Covid pandemic, Fishwives strived to maintain the steady supply of salmon and its products. My utmost respect to the owners for their dedication and commitment to serving us - customers despite challenges and rising cost. To many more good years ahead for Fishwives and the team !

First time ordering a king salmon (whole). Price was reasonable - though i would have hoped that they could provide filleting services for free as supermarkets like NTUC and Giant does it FOC. Nonetheless, the customer service was superb and very responsive. Received the salmon vacuum packed which makes freezing the meat easy. Will buy again.

The Fishwives salmon was delicious as were the boneless free range succulent chicken thighs and absolutely LOVE the fact that they were brought up listening to Mozart 😁!

Update: thank you for getting back to me. I do understand the issue. However, in todays’s world we have ways to keep customers informed. I drove over because wishing to cook salmon based on the IG post you had: “salmon recipes” Original: Unfortunately, no salmon to sell. Not even frozen. Drove over for nothing. And I tough others are bad with stock keeping. Sorry for the low star rating originally, but that’s how I felt then. You are running a fish shop.

Have been buying Akaroa Salmon from Fishwives for a number of years. Recently received a fillet which had bones not removed and smaller than expected . Upon giving feedback, Rebecca immediately refunded me the full sum was so nice about it. Will definitely be back for more thank you rebecca for such wonderful service.

The Fishwives’ salmon is the best; once you have tried them, you won’t buy salmon anywhere else. I have also been buying Koala Eco household cleaning products from The Fishwives for many years, They are all natural, effective and smells great!
