The Fitz Cafe & Rooftop

We had a great Christmas party! Tom & Taleah were standouts for us, excellent service and very friendly.

We have come here a few times for work functions and hired out the whole bar. Some people found it a bit small for a group of our size (about 60). They renovated since our last visit and it is better. The staff are friendly and they make great cocktails. They have a variety of beer and wine too. There is an area for dancing which tends to get pretty packed but is fine.

We held a work event at Damask in December 2015 and they were just fabulous. Super helpful in the lead up, found us a perfect DJ and were so patient with my questions. The night went perfectly, bar staff in particular were fun, professional, friendly and accommodating and didn't shove us out the door when the clock hit 1am. Great space with an amazing outdoor courtyard and lots of different areas for people to settle into. Very reasonable minimum spend too. Highly recommend if you want somewhere people will relax, have fun and be well looked after. Ace.

This hidden little gem is one of Fitzroy's best secrets! To gain access you need to walk up the stairs out the back of the Fitz cafe. Once you do though you're greeted by an awesome cozy little cocktail bar with booths to sit and watch people walk along Brunswick St. There's also a great rooftop section with seating for lots of people! I have hired this place out a few times in the past and can't speak highly enough of the staff. Most recently we booked the place for my 40th on New Years eve and the bar staff were fantastic! Friendly, professional, polite and up for a laugh!

We had a friends birthday party at this venue upstairs. It was an extremely hot evening I ordered 3 x soft drinks as was charged $15. All the drinks were warm as they were being poured from bottles left on the bar. I then bought another round was charged the same amount and again drink were warm. The third time I went to the bar I raised this with staff who said “we should probably keep the drinks in the fridge” . $15 is pretty steep for 3 cokes, I don’t mind paying that much, it is what it is but for $15 they could have at least made sure they were cold and not room temperature. Lift your game guys you are in the hospitality industry!!

2 for 1 cocktails - ohoh I like 😛. Nice outdoor area (though not enough back support for my liking). I have never seen anyone sit inside the venue - I think it could be made a bit more welcoming, a bit less heavy Victorian smoking room.

The Fitz Rooftop bar was a Perfect Party space ! The food platters were really good and the staff are all amazing.

Great Roof Top Bar and well placed on Brunswick Street. Great food, great drinks and attentive staff who know what they're doing. I LOVE coming to this place.
