Zadar is AMAZING! Five wells square is just breathtaking, stept in history, easy going and easy flowing, not too busy. Be careful, some of the footpath cobbles can be slippy (when dry) so if you have trainers or flat sandles, just be careful when going up or downhills or steps. Overall amazing, cant wait to go back.

This is a fantastic square with the five wells that used to supply water to the whole of Zadar and plenty of places to eat and drink. Take the steps behind the wells to look down on the land gate entrance to the old town.

A little bit hidden from the center but a must see in Zadar, next to a cute park where you can rest or enjoy a drink

Nice square with 5 well next to each other above the large cistern for drinking water and part of the aqueduct that used to bring water. Built when Ottomans were a real threat in these parts, so people could have water.

Very interesting historical landmark, loved the atmosphere and the park just above it

Attractive town square with 5 hexagonal well heads. Also a large tower to rear with a gallery but it was shut on a Saturday in September. Maybe nicer at night to seat with a drink. The park behind square was a nice spot too.
