The Fix - Café de Especialidad

If you need a Gluten Free option, this is the place. Most of their menu is designed for GF individuals, and it is all delicious! Although there are several great items to choose from, my favorite is the Salty Waffle ... which came with a poached egg, bacon, and avocado. So fresh and tasty! And the staff was so kind and friendly. It was truly a joy to come here regularly for our breakfast.

Tried the V60 and cappuccino — both were excellent. The filter was clean, smooth, and well-extracted, while the cappuccino had a rich espresso flavor with perfectly textured milk ☕️👌 Beautiful presentation and great attention to detail. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, making it a great spot to enjoy quality specialty coffee. Highly recommended, and definitely worth a repeat visit.

Great coffee but the waiters were not so helpful. The place was not busy and we came with stroller and no one would help. The people on the street help us to hold the door to get in with our stroller. Feel not so welcoming. The coffee was good but the egg made me vomit very badly after an hour we got home. Do not recommend the breakfast here, would come be for coffee though. We wait for simple egg toast for 30 mins and it looks like a huge mess.

Loved this café! The vibe is super chill, we didn’t have to wait at all, and everything was so delicious. Definitely coming back!

The Fix is now in my top 3 of specialty coffees. First to mention that is pet friendly. I'm visiting Madrid with my dog and this is a must. Now, the food: Toast with avocado, bacon and scrambled eggs was delicious, perfect in every aspect, crispy bacon, fresh avocado and the eggs cooked with the precise texture. The size... Big, what can I say I'm full for the rest of the day... Oat latte, creamy, tasty and great temperature. Last but not least a fluffy flavoured cheese bread. These people know their business. If you are around look no further. Next time I'm in Madrid I'm coming here

Great team. Well staffed. Attentive, professional and friendly. Very nice atmosphere with just enough modern design. One ding for cool looking but not great for comfortable seating. Best bacon I’ve had these last few weeks in Spain. The BEST yogurt, too! Plates are ample and well cooked.

Waffle with egg and avocado pretty good, waffle very nice. Pancake is very big and soft Hot chocolate here no added sugar but smell really good. Moreover the staff so nice

I really enjoyed everything that we have eaten and I also really appreciate that they have gluten free options for everything on the menu. The staff was helpful when I asked about the options. We had the avocado & feta cheese toast with gluten free bread(forgot to take a picture), salmon & cream cheese & avocado toast with an addition of poached egg and we shared gluten free pancakes. The only thing that I didn’t love was the downstairs area, as it didn’t have any windows and the atmosphere, although matching the overall simple design, was a bit too simple. But if you can get one of the tables upstairs the experience here will be a definite 5. Edit: I have tried the bacon pancakes in a second visit, they are amazing, don’t even order the other one just go for the bacon pancakes!

Both my wife and I agreed this local coffee shop served us the best coffee we had while in Spain. I enjoyed an espresso that fruity and mildly robust. Think Illy, but much better. When I inquired, it turned out the beans were from a small farm in Uganda. My wife enjoyed her coffee with milk, oddly I was so satisfied with the espresso I didn't try hers. Those beans were from a small farm in Columbia. The cardamom and fig gluten free coffee cake was also good. Service was great and we were able to sit and talk.

Great coffee shop near Plaza España. Seems like a spot regulars like to get their fix for coffee. Augustine was friendly, made an excellent latte, and ate the best house-made granola, yogurt, and bananas! This would be my go to spot!

LOVE this hipster cafe located just off the central tourist drag of Plaza de Espana in Madrid. Fantastic service. Excellent oatmilk latte (which is hard to find in Spain!). Delicious sandwiches and salads. Nice ambiance inside as well. Highly recommended!

Such a great spot for bunch! It's aesthetic was cute & minimalist -- love it. The food was amazing! I ordered scrambled egg and toast and my husband ordered avocado toast. And of course after we shared an order of this pancakes -- which were SOOO GOOD! Everything about this place was top notch -- food quality, vibe, & service!

Very good tasty fresh brunch spot. We had the avacado toast and Spanish sauce toast and all very good. Everything is made and tasty fresh so it does take some time to get your food. Very friendly welcoming staff. Aldo the pancakes where Very tasty.

Lovely little modern coffee shop serving good coffee, matcha and chai. Their baked goods are sublime. Try their vegan banana chocolate cake. Chillax vibe!

The Fix is down the street from the school where I work, so it's a frequent stop for me on weekdays! The coffee is great (and very strong); be sure to ask to see the full menu, because the wall only shows a portion of the drinks they offer. Until recently, I thought of The Fix as strictly a coffee/work spot, but that changed the day I tried their cinnamon ginger cake. I'm very picky about desserts here, but this cake was a dream. It was slightly crunchy on the exterior, but super moist inside. And the flavor was amazing (if you like cinnamon and ginger, obviously). Now, every visit I'm tempted to try a new baked good! For working on the computer, it definitely depends what time you go. In the mornings I've never had a problem, but in the afternoons it can be crowded and difficult or impossible to find a spot to sit. There isn't a ton of seating, so be ready to share a table with other people!

Simple, yet elegant, The Fix in Madrid is a tiny gem waiting to be explored. One of the only places that I have found serving an iced coffee or latte at this time of year, it also has a fantastic selection for breakfast. It has a modern atmosphere, and a quiet demeanor. It's not a huge coffee shop per se, but it certainly makes up for it with its food and drinks. Worth checking out if you are in Madrid and want to experience something delicious. Travel on.

They did their homework and the product reflects it. The coffee is freshly roasted and prepared as purists demand. The Fix offers pour over and a siphon. My daughter said the tea smells great and tastes even better. Try it for yourself.

Excellent latte and flat white. Small and a little tricky to find but worth the walk from the tourist areas. Espresso flavour was good and made perfectly. Not too hot. Breakfast options were good too.
