This was such a delicious spot. We stuck around, nursing our drip coffees after eating just to soak in the friendly service and quaint atmosphere. I enjoyed a delightfully heaping portion of ham, egg, apple, and spinach on a bagel. If you’re looking for tasty, underpriced, fast service, this is your spot. Don’t forget the fresh bakery goods!

Always a great meal. Tuna sandwich - had to come back for second time so my wife could experience her favorite meal. Huge sandwich and the scones are always a nice warm buttery treat. Coffee, best in state, enjoy the chill

Delightful dishes and atmosphere. Tuna salad sandwich, Cat sandwich and banana cake - all fresh and superb! And the raspberry Italian soda - one of my faves!

Google
The food was fresh & delightful. The fresh-made pico was scrumptious. I can’t have gluten, but they make fresh scones for those of you who can! Highly recommend stopping in. The place is small, and that represents half the charm. Vintage feel and has a lava lamp too. I thoroughly enjoyed my time. This place is a breath of fresh air in a manic world. I’d assume the only 1-star reviews for this place were from people who either don’t pay attention to what’s happening around them, or they are entitled and need to be told to be nice. Twice during my visit, I heard the owner stand up for his other customers and his place. Once he told someone to be patient. *sigh* What a joy to hear an owner point out the customer isn’t always right.

Wow! Artisanal sandwich for breakfast!! Vegan options, and they sell out quick. What a great show.

Google
This was the first place we ran into when we got to town, so we stopped. Very small menu, they only have a microwave and a toaster oven so you're not going to get anything other than that. There are a lot of bees inside so if you're allergic I don't recommend. The lady that served us was super super nice. And the cook was okay, I said something and I think he took it wrong, so it got weird. Cute place , but only three small tables and the bathroom is across the street. And isn't open in the morning when the restaurant is. Eggs seemed to be done in microwave...

Came here as my first stop during a mid-week visit to Jerome. It was a chillier, foggy morning and I was looking for a quick place to warm up & grab some coffee - I ended up staying much longer than anticipated. The space is quant but so charming. Chad welcomes you with such a nice, warm welcome. I grabbed a nice window spot, ordered myself a bold Americano and their ’Really Good’ oatmeal - it was perfect. Simplistic, but well executed - I was instantly transported back to my childhood, reminiscing on grandma’s perfect bowl of oatmeal. Well done, Flatiron. The owner, Chad, is such a great guy. He makes it feel like you’re visiting a good friend, welcomed into his home, while he cooks you up a heart-warming meal, perfect espresso, and some great convo. As he served the other table their meal, he left them with a “Phones down, forks up.” Loved it. We geeked about both working in the industry, and as I was about to wrap it up, he pulls a brand new bottle off the shelf behind him - a beautiful Spanish vermouth. He pours us both a taste. It was hands down the highlight of my visit. Do yourself the favor when you’re in town, and make the stop in. Let Chad know I sent ya!

Google
Food was okay but the guy at the counter had that "you're lucky to be in my presence" attitude, which was off-putting. Prices were high, but that seems to be the norm these days. We'll choose to go where there isn't as much attitude. There are so many other options out there.

Yelp
I try and visit this establishment each time I come to Jerome. Best pastries and great coffee. I first noticed it because there were some many people lined up to get in. Really wonderful food. Had great service and the ambiance is great too. You sit and enjoy the day go by in the large window overlooking the street. Sit down! Relax! And enjoy!

Yelp
I hadn't been to Jerome for some years so I drove up to walk around and have some breakfast in my favorite building. The Flatiron steals its name from New York City's iconic building. Sitting here in the triangle-shaped room when the sun begins to stream in and light up the yellow space is just mentally uplifting. Looking out the large window while enjoying my latte and incredible quesadilla made the morning fulfilling.

Yelp
Cute little spot on the corner. Wedged between two streets. Love the layout. Relaxing atmosphere and ambiance. The breakfast quesadilla was delicious. Fresh and filling. Service was good. Staff were friendly. I'd come back here.

Yelp
We loved flatiron! So much character, good food, and good service. Oh and great lattes!! (The best we had on the trip). Never had a breakfast salad in my life and now I have! it's super cute in there. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place... you might have to walk a little further. WORTH IT! As someone who ventures into town here and there, I go for the easy to find place. Flatiron was a little more difficult to find. But the task to find was worth it. The mocha was stellar and far eclipsed by the scones. Don't walk into this place thinking you will get 4-5 choices of dense scones for the day. There is one choice only and it's nothing close to dense. The first day we came across this place was a unique flavor I've never seen before, Blueberry, vanilla and Hawaiian sea salt. Wow! Unique and perfect. The pat of butter that topped this masterpiece was perfectly salty. The second day I made sure to come back to get the mocha and scone option of the day. I'm not sure what flavor the owner would have come up with without my influence, but the day before, I mentioned Cran/orange and that's what was offered that next day. WOW! Nothing "basic" about these scones. I think this place, due to location, is all about locals, but I'm so glad I happened upon it! When in Jerome, AZ, just go there. Leave the copper place to the other tourist that visit Jerome.

Yelp
Visited Jerome for my first time today & I'm so happy we decided to stop here. The inside is on the smaller side but luckily for us we were the only ones eating in at the time & the large window is quite a view to look out of and enjoy some delicious food! I got the Chad Bagel & a London Fog Latte & both were DELICIOUS! The Chad bagel is definitely my new favorite way to eat a bagel. The gentlemen, I'm assuming the owner, was very welcoming & very passionate of his cooking & his food presentations. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
"The worst service" is still above standard for our experience here. We live in Prescott, visited for the 1st time, the man behind the counter was passive aggressive, rude, condescending & just flat out mean. Perhaps he's having a bad life, or ??? The coffee taste like burnt wood. I read similar 1 star reviews. Highly discourage anyone visiting this place. I also read some good reviews & wonder if those review were written when another person was manning the fort? No exaggeration, this guy was flat-out mean, just a suffering soul.

Yelp
Steam scrambled eggs along with fresh whole fruit. Really enlightened my taste bud! Started my morning off right. Don't forget the coffee!!:)

Yelp
The owners and crew were great! Stayed upstairs for the night in the suite above flatiron building it's located on. Absolutely perfect combo on a trip to the town of Jerome. Tons of history, great food, and great Arizona coffee from Firecreek.

Janet G.

Yelp
Visited here a couple of weeks ago and had great coffee and delicious food!! Definitely a stop when we're in jerome again!

Veronica P.

Yelp
Rented apt upstairs. Watched a storm roll in through the large picture windows. Amazing place..great location.

Yelp
Adorable little cafe. The owner is very funny. Delicious food and perfect coffee. Small seating inside but outdoor seating just across the street. Definitely must try.
google avatar

Yelp
Cool breakfast spot in Jerome. Food was good and service quick. Wanted to try the pastries and explore coffee options more. They have a nice patio across the street that would be nice to eat at when it's cooler.

Yelp
Walked across the street to find the best breakfast place. Small and quaint with an outdoor seating section across the way. Orders come out fresh as soon as they go in. Great coffee and wonderful freshly baked treats were nice. The food was excellent. Great find in Jerome, AZ.

Yelp
What a great Easter Day in Jerome. I used to live in the area and couldn't wait to go back. Even though it was cold and rainy, we had the best day until the end when we entered the FlatIron coffee shop was in a great adorable building and corner location. The coffee was pretty good, considering they only had Americanos and tea. Maybe they were out, considering it was closing time, which the skinny guy with glasses mentioned it every time someone walked in. The couple sitting in there before us, was laughing because he told them "I guess I'll make you a coffee since we're closed but no tourist questions" they laughed at all the rude comments he made to every patron that walked in because what else you going to do? We asked to see a menu because there wasn't one on the back wall as most coffee shops have. So he flopped one on the counter and said, "it's really simple" and pointed at it. His tip jar was empty, not surprising, and he mentioned to the girl working with him that "NOT tipping must be contagious" right in front of us. His tip jar is empty because he's a rude person. The people behind us also got his "closed" comment. If you don't like all the business, then shut the door and say, "Sorry, folks were closed," that simple. I won't be returning. Another thing, we were heading out of town with the coffee to-go, and he was out of lids. I spilled 3 times before we got in the truck. I appreciated the overflowing coffee in the cup, though.

Yelp
This place has a lot of potential, it's a cozy unique building with a lot of character in a really cool town. 3 stars for service and the price. The latte was $7 and the barista had a bad attitude. Was throwing dishes around very loudly and made some comment to a customer about high tips. Seemed to only be friendly to locals.

Louis B.

Yelp
Saw this coffee shop after a great Easter in Jerome walking around..it was cold and went in for an americano..coffee was good but no lid for take out..the owner had a bad attitude and complained to Co worker about how the customer's were infectious not tipping thinking he was not talking loud enough for me to hear...sorry dude fix your attitude..won't be going back there..

Yelp
Great coffee and breakfast! All fresh and made with love! Highly recommend! Breakfast Sandwich with spinach is what I had.

Yelp
When in Jerome stop in The Flatiron to crab great coffee or enjoy an amazing sandwich made by Chad. I ordered Latte and roast beef sandwiches created by Chad. The double layer roast beef with spinach, aoli, green chili sauce and cheese was so delicious. Chad was gracious to answer our tourists questions too.

Yelp
We went here on an early morning motorcycle ride. They seated 6 of us with no problem. The breakfast was outstanding. You order and pay and they deliver... the Ambiance is okay. It's a small lovely place located in Jerome AZ. Stop in and enjoy the freshness of their food.

Yelp
This place drew us to staying in Jerome and we thought the 4 Dollar parking was OK... Our macchiato and doppio passed our coffee snob test, scone slightly scorched but flavorful. Owner obviously has a comfy audience and he appeared nicer to the complaining Prescott patrons than to us interested folks from the west. Bummer as it tainted the experience quite a bit.
google avatar

Lexi M.

Yelp
The cook/barista (which I think is also the owner) was extremely rude. I went two separate mornings when I was in town, he was rude the first time but I thought maybe it was just me who took his attitude wrong. Sure enough, I went back the next morning and bought another overpriced $7 coffee, it was searing hot so I asked for a sleeve or extra cup and he said "nope!" And literally pushed a small cocktail napkin towards me to use. He was rude to the people behind me as well, patronizing them for not knowing where to sit down. He clearly hates tourists even though we are the ones keeping his doors open.
google avatar

Lisa O.

Yelp
We live locally and this was our first visit. We went up to the counter to order... they only took our drink order and told us to sit at a table and they would come take our food order there. Many people came in after us that they appeared to know. All of these people had their orders taken, some were even prepared and delivered across the street, before we had our order taken. A girl told the male that she was going to get our order and he told her to get another tables refills first which included changing every beverage and adding an assortment of baked goods too. FINALLY got our order taken.... Food arrives but not before hypoglycemia. Two of our meals were really good. The third was ok. We will likely not return, the friends get to keep it to themselves.

Yelp
Mocha in Jerome and some other great coffee? Yes, look no further than this hidden gem! Loved this small place, and the guy working there is very nice too! Come here for all your coffee needs!
google avatar

Jamie K.

Yelp
Small, cozy diner with amazing chef-inspired breakfast and lunch items, in addition to espresso/coffee/tea options. Very friendly service and a very interactive chef ‍. Quote: "Phones down, forks up!" We enjoyed the breakfast salad and traditional breakfast (I don't remember the name, but it was 'ono!)
google avatar

Nikole G.

Yelp
Ashly and Chad were such an awesome pair! They were super helpful with helping my friend pick a tea concoction. They were hilarious and very warm and welcoming! Like old friends. PLUS, Chad really resembles my brother, so I immediately loved him! Since this was our first adventure to their town, they gave us pointers and suggestions. Their desserts looked delish! Didn't have any of the food, but if I'm in town next time, I'll slide through!
google avatar

Jyrki P.

Yelp
I only took a cappuccino and espresso, both of very high quality. The breakfasts look tasty, too, so with such a friendly serive it is easy to come back.

Dan A.

Yelp
Food is ok, but if your visiting Jerome, I would stay away from this place. The service is pathetic to say the least. The poor excuse for a barista who according to him 'tells it like it is' thinks petty aggressive comments is a good way to run a business..
google avatar

Yelp
The Flatiron cafe is the best cafe in Jerome! Chad the owner is one of the most special person I've ever met. The food is made with love and it's delicious. Recommend "The Chad's Bagel" and obviously the best blueberry scone I've ever had in my life. Line may be long but totally worth it.
google avatar

Susie A.

Yelp
We enjoyed our breakfast here! Super friendly, felt very welcome. Food was amazing! We had the Abby Bagel & the bfast Quesadilla with an awesome strawberry clove scone. Would order it all over again!

Patricia K.

Yelp
We stopped in to the Flatiron on a brief visit to Jerome. The somewhat harried man behind the counter was brusque when we started to pull a 4th chair over to a vacant table. He was also brusque about how we didn't say Hello, How are you? upon our arrival. One member of our party took offense and called him a name which he heard and then the uproar began. The one person in our group left but the rest of us stayed to eat. Food was good. As I was paying I expressed regret at the argument and the man behind the counter started up again. He even included a veiled threat that one shouldn't mess with the person preparing your food. Needless the say the experience was not a good one.
google avatar

Candice N.

Yelp
As I love to shop small, The Flatiron was my first choice for a bit of caffeine before heading out of Jerome back down the mountain to Phoenix. No regrets I would venture to say it was the best part of the visit. Abby & Chad were very personable, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. They expertly rattled off town history, fun facts, local events, and even invented drinks for us! Bookmarked? Absolutely.
google avatar

Lauren A.

Yelp
EXTREMELY BAD service. Coming from a big city I've experienced my fair share of sarcastic and snobby baristas but this guy takes the cake. I was the only customer in the place and he didn't stop shuffling about the back to make eye contact or indicate he was listening when I asked if they have iced tea options. His response: point at wall of generic tea bags and explained that tea is brewed hot then ice added (still no eye contact). I should've left right then and there because not only did he hand me a HOT tea after all that, he wasn't wearing a mask and didn't wash his hands before handling my drink. Honestly I don't care if they have good food or coffee, this guy has no business working around other people.

Yelp
The town of Jerome was a cool stopover and worth the trip. We got there early and explored. By the time we were ready for lunch, the crowds had arrived and places were pretty busy. We needed caffeine and a local artist recommended we stop in here. Our chai lattes were made from scratch and he was able to adjust the sweetness for us. Awesome We split a tuna salad sandwich. It was loaded with tuna and spinach but not with Mayo. Perfect. Great little hip spot to stop and relax and enjoy crafted drinks and food.

Yelp
Nestled up on a corner I came across this little trendy local coffee house that has the best espresso I have encountered. Great vibe, and the banana bread was top notch!! Such amazing service. 5 Stars kudos The Flatiron!! Until next time

Yelp
Stopped by after lunch for a cappuccino and a worker walked in with a lit marijuana cigarette .. I thought non smoking was just that -super gross. Service was slow
google avatar

Lori M.

Yelp
What a bizarre experience. Ended up here as a storm was rolling in and every other restaurant had a wait. We walked in and there was only really one option for seating as the owner I assume was sitting at the larger table on a video call. Once he got up to help us the girl who works there proceeded to continue with the call. They were both talking loudly to the person on video across the place. I felt like I had just intruded onto someone's home. Our order was taken and when I asked for a different sweetener for my tea I was almost snapped at as they don't carry "those". Like other sweetner is taboo or something. The video call loudly continued on most of the time we were there. The food was good but not enough for me to ever visit again. Very uncomfortable situation overal..

Yelp
Any time spent in Jerome should definitely include a visit, or two, to The Flatiron, a delightful cafe tucked into the ground floor of an historic building located in the heart of this charming community. The cafe is open for breakfast and lunch Thursday through Monday and can accommodate a few folks at its counter, several more at the handful of tables and chairs located inside and additional guests on an outdoor patio located across the street and upstairs. Abby Rottweil and Chad Hembrough are the proprietors, food preparers and baristas extraordinaire who make good things and good things happen as they chat with customers and keep the food and drinks going and flowing. Check out the fresh baked goods that, if you are lucky, will have not all been devoured by the time you arrive. Or just order anything from the breakfast or lunch menus for a delicious meal that will more than satisfy even a hardy appetite. Or just wrap your hands around the coffee drink of your choice for a caffeine fix without any bitterness or burnt taste that can taint a good cup of coffee. The feel here is real, the flavors are outstanding and the hospitality is exceptional.

Yelp
Best coffee in town, cool San Francisco-y vibes and local art on display. Can't visit Jerome without stopping by! The Chad bagel sandwich is low-key everything you could ask for in a breaky sandwich if eggs aren't your thing. Enjoy!
google avatar

Yelp
If you love all things coffee, Jerome and friendly service this is the place. My eyes were Instantly drawn to this corner shop, up a few stairs on one of the famous steep streets of this old mining town. They are practicing social distancing well and only one small group or person allowed in at a time. The menu is posted on the window so you can decide before walking inside. The smell was divine. I was sold the second I saw they sold Firecreek Coffee in bags to take home. I was even more impressed and thankful when the woman helping us asked if I'd like to have them ground. HECK YES! I tried an ice vanilla latte. I usually do sugar free, but they did t have it. I went for it anyway and it was one of the best made lattes I've ever had. I also ordered 4 apple juice for my kids and it was fresh and looked amazing. Can't wait to go back on our next visit. Did I mention how yummy my car smelled the entire drive home with the fresh ground beans?

Yelp
I thought that the tables outside and across a little street was cute and unique. With there only being 2 staff I was ok with and figured the wait would be a little longer, but was surprised. Only waited about 30 min. I was confused if we had to walk back and pick up our food but I saw the waitress bring food to other customers so I figured she'd do the same for my husband and myself. That was not the case, she called my name, I picked up our my food from across the street and we proceeded to eat. The same waitress then delivered other customers food to their tables. Im not quite sure what I did to offend her. The food was a little overpriced for the portions. Didn't seem like they seasoned the eggs (Mr. Egg Sandwich). Overall it was ok, definitely not going back.

Kathleen Z.

Yelp
Wonderful little cafe with delicious food. Would highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch if walking around Jerome!
google avatar

Yelp
Always stop in when I drive from Prescott to Sedona for drs appt. Food is made when ordered, so very fresh and delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
This gem starts with a 5th generation of devoted owners, who have now ran the restaurant for 5 years. Awesome service, great personalities that brightens your day and the food is truly the cherry on top. Order the A.M. Quesadilla and Breakfast Egg Sandwich. Such a great place to visit within a unique town.
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
Chad and Abby were a delight to meet and the meal was just as superb! So glad they are open for Take Out during COVID. There is a patio across the street that you can use to dine outside so you still get a restaurant vibe! Thanks for also introducing us to @firecreekcoffee
google avatar

Milyr G.

Yelp
Name of the restaurant is attractive and apt for its location. View from the restaurant is OK. Service is super slow. Taste is mediocre at best and bad value for money (for example, egg sandwich is unseasoned steamed eggs put between two cold slices of bread and a few pieces of fruit for more than $10) . I would go elsewhere next time.
google avatar

Amy E.

Yelp
The couple that run this tiny shop were so warm and welcoming to me, I almost started to cry. Being away from home as the worldwide Health crisis intensified, with everyone staying away and apart from each other, this felt like a friend's kitchen. In a very touristy place, this is an oasis of real, genuine good food and coffee. I only tried the almond milk latte and chocolate chip cookie but all the other things I saw being made looked delicious. I wish you so much success in your business!
google avatar

Angelica H.

Yelp
This place was good and decently priced but the wait took soooo long since only one person makes the food. I ordered the grilled cheese and added ham, but there was so much spinach, it seemed like I ordered a spinach salad with a side sandwich. Next time I know to check how long the wait is first and try something else, light spinach lol
google avatar

Megan S.

Yelp
Breakfast was fantastic and the vibe was also great. Loved the music! The food was AMAZING. Their baked goods were delicious! I highly recommend. Also, we appreciate the extra precautions taken during this pandemic. Thank you for caring about our health!
