We only spent one night here but it was quite a unique experience. We arrived in Bangkok and arranged with the hotel to be picked up at the airport. It is quite a drive to get to the pier - a little over 3 hours and then a 10 minute boat ride to the hotel. We specially arranged our trip to be able to have this night at the Float House as we then left in the morning to drive all the way back to Bangkok to fly to Phuket. We had a room all the way on the end which was nice because I think if you’re next to too many people it would be noisy. We were able to hear the family in the room next to us but it was only on one side. The room is lovely and there was a mini fridge with cold drinks, coffee machine and watermelon as well upon arrival. Dinner at the restaurant was tasty - the menu is quite extensive and we got free cocktails with our reservation. Breakfast was a little disappointing as there wasn’t a big selection but it was pretty standard. I was hoping for some more fruit but there was only papaya, watermelon and pineapple. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a unique stay. We didn’t get to do any of the activities in the area because we arrived too late and the spa was already full.

Absolutely beautiful location and incredible scenery on the river. Spacious rooms with everything you need, and terrace with seating to sit outside by the water is amazing. Restaurant serves excellent food and drinks, with a lot of choice in both, including a good choice at the buffet breakfast too. The real charm in this place is the fantastic service by all of the staff - very friendly, helpful and genuine. We left knowing we will visit again. 100% recommend.

Who's rated this place one star!? It's absolutely excellent. You are sleeping on a fast flowing river. Isn't that crazy!? The rooms are spacious and have a viewing deck, the restaurant is good and the service is okay (not quite as good as other hotels but still good)

We used to stay at the Jungle rafts for many years but as from last year decided we would upgrade to a place with air cond and power at the Float house just down the river. It's about 1.25 hours drive from Kanchanaburi town to the pier (do not use the float house address). then a 10 min long tail boat ride down a tranquil river which is beautiful. Reception staff speak great English and very helpful. The rooms are beautiful with everything we needed. Spacious and a very nice bed and shower. Good air cond. Would be good if they could give a key so that you don't have to come back to a warm room if you go to the restaurant. We wanted to go for a few hours to jungle rafts for a drink and to show our friends with us what it was like and it cost 1200 THB return which I thought rather steep. There was no massage service available on the day of check in at Float house so we did it at the Jungle raft. The float house restaurant is very nice with great service from all staff. Breakfast was set menu style the first morning as not many guests but a buffet the next day when busier. Dinner is very chilled atmosphere and nice menu. Overall I would go back again with no hesitation, the booking was seamless with their head office and good communication. Special mention to Joey (the greatest) 555 and to Rattiya. Great overall experience. Super friendly staff, relaxed ambiente, great room on the river. Delicious dinner and breakfast. For me personal 1 night is the best deal for the experience, for my girlfriend 3 days would be ideal. Remember, this place is really remote, this is great if you want to have peace and relax 100%. Perfect. Best birthday gift in my opinion.

It is surrounded by mountains, rivers, and a beautiful spot for relaxation. Since it is close to nature, it is far from the city around 1-1.30 hrs drive. If you're planning to visit city attractions, be aware that this resort is quite isolated and far. It's ideal for those seeking privacy and a peaceful environment, whether you're a family, solo traveler, or couple. But do not choose this place if you have old family members or diabled ones. Decent food with decent price, worth money for the relaxation in a quiet green space, escaping city life.

We went directly from the airport to the Float House Hotel and spent two nights there recuperating from the flight from Europe. The hotel is situated in a picturesque and peaceful area and can only be reached by a ten-minute boat ride from the pier, which makes the trip there feel quite adventurous. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and have very good showers and wifi. Moreover, the restaurant is excellent and gives you the choice between Thai and Western food.|As part of the transfer back to Bangkok, the hotel organised a guide to show us the Hell Fire Pass and the area around the bridge over the River Kwai. This was not one of their regular tours, but I would definitely do it that way again, as it saves you a lot of time travelling back and forth between Bangkok and the different sights.|All in all, a wonderful hotel and excursion from Bangkok.

We stayed at the Floating house hotel for 2 days on the banks of the river kwai, reachable by longtail boat| |The room was a good size, comfy bed, decent shower and the room rocked gently on the river at times after a boat had passed was restful. Free water daily in room. Views from front are spectacular.|AC intermittent to work and the safe lock was a bit fiddly but they are the only negative points and very minor. ||Food varied from buffet to al la carte depending on numbers staying. Breakfast was plentiful and various options with dinner menu excellent and evening meal prices were reasonable. Very tasty and well cooked. ||Sister hotel up hill has a pool you can use if you wish. |They take you by longtail boat to meet drivers if you have excursions booked. You can float from reception down the front of the rooms hence the hotels name.||Happily return 👍😀
